We submitted a service request because the water line connected to our kitchen sink had become clogged with debris and needed to be flushed. Artley Plumbing was assigned through our home warranty company, and we paid the required $100 service fee. Prior to the appointment, I specifically explained to Artley Plumbing that the issue involved the kitchen sink water line. However, when the owner arrived, he stated that he had been informed it was a sink issue. then he said it was a water flow issue and claimed he was unable to flush the lines beneath the sink due to liability concerns. This explanation was surprising, as we have had multiple plumbing companies perform the same service in the past without issue. During the visit, the owner contacted the warranty company and described the situation in a manner that effectively exempted him from performing the work. In our view, clearing a clogged water line does not present the liability concerns that were suggested. Equally disappointing was the level of customer service we received. The owner was dismissive, unhelpful, and lacked professionalism throughout the interaction. Rather than attempting to find a solution, he appeared unwilling to address the issue for which the service call was requested. As a result, the problem remains unresolved, and despite no work being performed, we were informed by the warranty company that the $100 service fee is non-refundable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Artley Plumbing and would not use their services again in the future. read more

I was assigned to this company through Fidelity Home Warranty and regret it completely. Customer service is terrible, communication is awful, and they make you feel like an inconvenience for calling. Tracy, the owner himself, came to my home, did a thorough inspection, and gave me an honest, straightforward report. After having tracy work on our 3 toilets we have had the samr problems with 2 of the toilets not flushing correctly constantly leaving waste in the bowl after it was flushed same problem we had before. They came out based on my warranty company sending them out. We have been having an issue with our island sink and a foul smell coming out of it and slow drain. He said we needed to clean the sink gasket, which we did and then run a bag of ice through the disposal, which we did. Read online if you have a foul smell check the trap, which he didn't do. After doing all the things he suggested we do, we still had a smell. Called the Warranty company back and they called him and he said he has been doing this for 30 years and he didn't need to do anything else. He did absolutely nothing. Not happy, we called a plumber on our own who put a camera down the drain at half the cost of my warranty deductible and saw that we had an issue in the drain line. Build up of grease and some water in the line not going down. This was most likely causing the smell. Now we know what we need to do to address. This company, who did zero to try and determine the issue, refused to come back and properly diagnose the issue. Now we have to go back and get our warranty company to properly deal with our issue. It was like going to a doctor who tells you what is wrong without doing a single test. A read more

My water heater went out. Thank goodness my home warranty covered it. So they sent them out. Overall was pretty good. Communication was a bit broken, but they came and fixed the problem quickly. Never called me to schedule an appointment after I was told they'd schedule me within 24 hours. I called again and the lady on the phone was extremely rude and when I told her I'd like to talk to someone about the level of professionalism she has and how rude she was and her exact words were "well maybe you should call Fidelity Home Warranty back and tell them you'd like another company". She had originally had me scheduled for the day after tomorrow but as soon as I got off the phone with her she cancelled our appointment and we have to try and go through a whole new company now. WHAT?! I've been waiting over a week to have them schedule me while our home hardly has any running water. I've never experienced this level of unprofessionalism before. This was the most horrible plumbing company ever the owner came out to install a brand new water heater and took all day and around 7 o'clock said he had to come back because one of the pipes were leaking a little bit of water so instead of fixing it right then and there because of the time he said he had to go And he would come back, but I told us we could use the water heater and still have hot water then in a few days when he came back, he said oh the water heater pipes are not leaking anymore, but yet a day before I can see where it was dripping Not a lot but a little drips here and there, but a leak is a leak so after contacting the insurance company, he told them it was not leaking anymore now mind you whoever is reading this that the guy that came out is the owner of the company and he refused to change the pipes on the water heater that he himself said was leaking a few days earlier, but yet when he first got out there wiped off the pipes so to me if the pipes are not leaking as he said, what was he wiping off? So somehow he FaceTime the insurance company lady and showed her it wasn't leaking so she did not approve the pipes to be changed out. This guy is completely lazy and I would not recommend his company to nobody. He wants to do short work quick work and not quality especially if you're doing a insurance job he will do a just good enough job for you. He tries to talk a good game, but if you are smart enough to know better you won't fall for the bullshit, and just as a reminder, this was for a home warranty job and since he was not going to get paid for coming back out as I'm sure he found out he didn't want to do the job Take it from me. Definitely don't use this company. Our homeowners insurance sent us to this company and they lied twice about what they did. He said he ran the sink on both sides but one side was dry, then he said he snaked our drain and he didn't. He tried to tell us we needed to redo our entire plumbing system (thousands of dollars) when our second option said it was just a simple fix that took 10min. They were clearly scammers trying to sell us a whole new plumbing system. Both the contractor friend we have and the plumber who gave a second opinion agreed. Definitely don't use them. read more

I was concerned about some reviews on here, but actually having Artley come out and work on our plumbing problem demonstrated the excellence of Artley Plumbing. Very quick and friendly service. My warranty company sent Tracy out due to a leaking pipe in the wall. Tracy was very friendly, informative and professional. He was able to cleanly get into the wall. Locate the problem and replace the part. It was a tricky job because the inflow waterlines were blocking his access to the pipe he need to repair. We ran the water a few times, water drained well. Voila! Gave us advice regarding fixing the dry wall as well and about home warranties too. Very professional, personable, and quick. Highly recommend. read more

He was horrible. I wouldn't have cared that he was rude and condescending if he actually was helpful but unfortunately he wasn't. Our toilet had a minor leak before he arrived but was otherwise functional. He disassembled the whole toilet, told me the warranty company (whom he works for, not you) probably wouldn't cover the repair, and then left. So I had a working toilet before he started but not after! No pride in his work at all, he just helps warranty companies deny your claim. If your warranty company tells you they're sending him I'd insist they send anyone else. read more

Removed my water filtration system without asking me the homeowner and refused to come out and put it back together how they found it before they began their work. Called and spoke to business owner who was combative and unwilling to offer a resolution. In fact she called me a liar and threatened my household. I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and also will be looking into taking legal action due to the fact that they refuse to return my sink to the condition it was before they came out and the threats to my family!!!! I have been trying to get my tankless water heater fixed for a few months now through my insurance with Fidelity. After having a few different Plumbing companies come out and NOT be able to provide me with the service and solutions I needed, I was given Artley Plumbing and Tracey came out to diagnose my water heater and within a week I was up and running with a new heater. My grandmother's Home Warranty company sent out Artley Plumbing to her residence. The plumber they sent over was extremely rude and unprofessional. Made excuses for every issue she had and dismissed the problems completely. Sprayed the sink hose all over the kitchen and didnt apologise or clean it up. Then the Owner came back with an attitude the following day. Continued with the same dismissals. When my grandmother asked the owner a question(while he was working on the same sink as the last guy) he sprayed the hose in the kitchen again and smiled. These guys will not be returning. Home warranty company dispatched my claim to Artley. Tracy came over to look at my hot water heater that clearly has water leaking around the bottom of it and has saturated the flooring around it. He was unprofessional and extremely condescending while asking me how I knew the leak was coming from the hot water heater. There is no other source of water in the area and the ground was clearly saturated. It was clear that Tracy did not want to deal with this job. He lied to the warranty company and told them there was no fault with the water heater to have the claim denied. Judging by other Yelp reviews, this appears to be a common practice. Tracy was brought in to clean up their mess and did the most spectacular job. He arrived on time and finished the job on the first working visit. He was friendly, clean, and good with kids. Small company therefore they will not take any risks on larger than normal repairs. I had purchased home warranty and they referred me to Artley. Artley did not want to do any of the work. They reported conflicting and inaccurate findings to home warranty company since they did not want to take any risk on a potential large repair for liability reasons. Be aware as they are probably ideal for small quick fixes as they will not touch anything they has greater risk or work. Not impressed with their approach and demeanor. My claim was denied due to their conflicting reports as well. I told Artley that the jets in the bathtub worked before I purchased the home but he ignored that and in his report he said it is a "pre existing issue" therefore they will not fix it and hence claim denied. Gosh it seems like a hit or miss with some of the reviews. I do agree that the lady who sets up the appointments seems a bit anxious, which has the potential for a less than pleasant experience when things become stressful. However, they were quick to dispatch someone the next day and the person arrived within the allotted time. So we had a smooth transaction. Our experience with the plumber himself was A+. I love to ask questions about everything and he took the time to answer them all. Even if it was about a problem that had nothing to do with what he was working on. He was also pleasant to talk to. I've done a bit of remodeling in my house and its hard to find good contractors these days. If I was going to do another bathroom remodel I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tracy since I want to hire someone who is knows what they're doing. read more
