I did my own research, contacted the manufacturer of my water heater first thing this morning, and they sent out a technician to fix the issue. I now have a brand new parts at free cost to me. Even if I was to purchase the parts: $560 for parts + $250 for labor = $810 vs $2,000+ on a new unit. That's a $1,190 savings to me.
