She carefully considered my face and eye shape, and made sure everything looked balanced and soft rather than harsh. I have sparse brows and had microblading done years ago by a different artist, but I hesitated to do anything again because it came with a long recovery and scabbing, and I didn't want downtime that would interfere with my workout schedule. With Soy's technique, however, recovery was minimal with no scabbing, and I like that my brows are basically ready to go every morning. It saves me a ton of time. Because I trusted her so much after my brows, I also decided to do permanent lash liner. That was something I never thought I'd do since it's so close to the eye. I love the result, and the process and recovery were super easy. She also included a touch-up a few weeks later (for both brows and lash liner) just to ensure everything healed perfectly and looked good, which was such a thoughtful touch. Megan was very professional and knowledgeable during the consultation. She answered all my questions and drew on a set of brow measurements to see exactly which areas were sparse. The actual procedure was fairly painless though certainly kind of weird to have someone with needles near your eyes. Luckily she was quick and efficient. Afterwards my brows looked so thick and full! After a few days it peels like a sunburn and gets a little flaky. You have to baby them a lot - no sun, no soaking in water, keep it clean. After they peeled it almost looked like it fell out in places. Megan reassured me that they would come back darker in a few weeks when fully healed. Now that it has been 2 months I can really see a difference. I have yet to go to my touch up, but honestly I'm pretty satisfied as they are. Thank you so much Megan! Highly recommended!

I was super hesitant because I saw my mom do it in the 1990s and she had an allergic reaction and looked horrible for a week. Anyway, I'm getting to the point in my life where my appearance is still important to me, but I just want to look good without putting in too much effort. Yes, I am lazy. Anyhoo Lena was quick to respond to my email inquiry about what type of brow service I should do. I was initially thinking microblading because it is less permanent and seems to be popular these days, however after consultation Lena suggested getting my eyebrows tattooed. I have sparse non-existent eyebrows. I looked totally different with makeup and without makeup, mainly because I had no eyebrows. I would go to yoga work up a sweat and come out looking like a totally different person because my brows would melt off. After getting my brows tattooed, my husband says it looks like I have makeup on all the time, that's how much of a difference it has made. Like he thought I was hot before, but now I'm even hotter because I have nice eyebrows all the time. Lena did a fabulous job. My eyebrows are symmetrical and perfectly proportioned. The process took about 1.5 hours and I felt very little pain. I went back a month later and she touched up my eyebrows to make sure they were settling in well. Highly recommend Lena! Well, your 1st eye brow shaping is 35 but on the next one it's 25 smakaroos. When you check in 3 times with your smart phone, Yelp application then it's $20 on your 3rd visit. Beauty Mark Honolulu located in the McCully area on South King Street is easy to find. If you're familiar where Pineapple Patio, Beauty Mark is across the street in a building on the 2nd floor. Don't let the appearance of the building alarm you (its circa 1970ish, I think) because once you enter the salon, it's like you're in another world like the beauty salon of Narnia. It's relaxing, clean and the vibe is friendly where you are immediately at ease. For each of their services, they'll have you fill out a form to provide information on yourself as well as consenting to doing the procedures. With CJ, I chose to do the powder brow tattoo because in my opinion from the picture I've seen as well as searched online, it's a softer look of a regular tattooed eyebrows. CJ will work with you on your eyebrows until you're satisfied with the recommendations as well. She'll go over with you what she will do before and during the procedure. She will also take a before and after photo of your brows. NOTE: The procedure itself wasn't painful. Overall, a great experience because of CJ.
