I love Art's BBQ! I had their food for the first time earlier this year and I was sad I hadn't tried them sooner. The meat is delicious and flavorful and the portions are huge, especially for their prices! We can feed our 3 small kids with a chicken plate and sometimes have leftovers as well. On top of great food and massive portions, the people who own it and work there are super friendly and kind. Even my 6 year old daughter talks about how nice they are! (We stayed eating at their outside tables one night after they had closed and they let us come in and use the bathroom). Great food, value, and service. They never disappoint! read more

Bang for your buck! Definitely a great place to eat after long hikes at the redwoods. Got the chicken thighs and ribs combo, cole slaw and baked beans were really good. Great little spot! Generous portions and everything was very tasty. Great plate of food for $8 and it included chips and a soda. Pork was moist and flavorful. Rice may look plain but it had a wonderful complimentary flavor. I would have never combined hummus with BBQ, but it was a wonderful surprise and went great with the pork. Great little BBQ spot. My husband got the ribs with coleslaw and I got the brisket with side salad. My husband loved the ribs, stating they were, "fall off the bone, soft on the inside with a crunchy outside bark". My brisket was also tender and flavorful. I was surprised at the quality greens in the salad. Typically you see iceberg lettuce and croutons at BBQ spots but Art's come with some fresh spring greens and tomatoes. My only wish is that there were more dressing options. But who goes to a BBQ spot for salad, right? read more

My husband and I decided to try out this place and ordered togo after it had been open for a month. We had the beef kebabs, bbq chicken and bbq pork with a combination of each of the sides. Everything was delicious! Meat was seasoned well and the quantity was well worth the price. Service is fast and very friendly. I was scrolling through Yelp looking for a good restaurant to try since I moved up from SoCal and noticed the 5 star rating so it was a must-try. Called in to see if they were open since it was Easter Sunday and a gentleman picked up the phone. He said they were close to selling out so he went ahead and saved me an order of their rib plate! I ordered mine with rice, beans, and potato salad. The ribs were perfectly tender and flavorful but the star of the plate were the beans for me. I'm also so glad that they have a rice option. Today was my third trip to Art's BBQ - must be good, eh? I keep coming back! The first time, a friend and I dined in. She had the beef and I had the chicken and the pork. Both our plates were accompanied with massive amounts of rice plus beans and great cole slaw. My favorite was the chicken, but all of it was great. My second trip and after Covid had hit, I picked up two orders of the chicken dinner and brought them home much to everybody's delight! No complaints from anybody. And today, I picked up their new addition, the BBQ pork ribs! Plenty of ribs, great flavor and accompanied by the standard mountain of rice, along with slaw and beans! This is a GREAT place, great people, great service and as soon as we can get back to normal, the dining room is comfortable, casual, clean as can be and the service is unsurpassed! I've heard from several of my friends about Art's, all favorable. They said large portions at a reasonable price. I finally remembered to try today. I was very disappointed. I wanted ribs, but that wasn't available until after 2. I'm not sure why it's on the menu for lunch. So I thought I'd try the kebabs. I will admit I'm not real familiar with Armenian food, but what I got didn't win me over to that type of food. The beef kebabs were very dry and bland. They sat on a bed of rice, it too was dry and bland. The coleslaw and beans were commercially prepared. The humus was ok. The portions were good size, but who cares if the food is just so-so. I placed an order for a brisket plate from my hotel to be delivered. With a side of potato salad since they don't allow you to swap yucky coleslaw for potato salad. The first thing I noticed is they sent no napkins or silverware to a customer in a hotel room! How am I supposed to eat baked beans? With my fingers? So I had to get dressed again go downstairs and all the hotel had was a fork. At least it wasn't my fingers. All while my dinner sat getting cold. But it didn't matter most of it was inedible. The brisket was the worst. It had this chemical taste to it. I tried to eat it. But I couldn't get past the taste of chemicals. I do t know if they just cleaned their smoker or what but it was awful. The baked beans were no more than pork n beans. And I hate coleslaw except for mine and how my grandma taught me to make coleslaw. I so t even touch restaurant coleslaw. And they pile the brisket on rice. Dry white rice. What am I supposed to eat that with? No soy sauce, no butter not even salt no nothing to put on this lump of white rice. That I had put on my order I didn't want. Thank Goodness I ordered the potato salad! It was the only thing I ended up eating at like 10pm. At dinner the food turned me off but I had tasted the potato salad and it was good. So I tucked it in the hotel room fridge. Since I didn't get much dinner I got hungry and ate that potato salad and it was the saving Grace. It's definitely homemade. It's honestly very very good for a restaurant that has to cater to a lot of taste buds. So I don't want you to think o am being u fail to them. I excepted by their reviews a fabulous meal.
