We went to Artur's on 10/30/2024 for Dinner and Drinks. We had Jaymie as our Waitress she was excellent. We ordered Taste of Poland and it was Awesome. We almost didn't go because of the Bad Reviews. We are so Glad we went the Food, Service and Entertainment was Top Notch. They had Live Music, and it was a Great Evening. We Highly Recommend Artur's and their entire Staff. ARTURS hosted our 35 member Kayaking Gals Witches luncheon 10/22/23. Great private room, excellent special menu I was able to decide entrees, plenty of parking that handled trucks with kayaks & fabulous staff. The food was excellent! Prices fair. Our waitress quick, friendly and attentive with a fun happy helping attitude, the manager "Chelsea" was extremely nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant. Where do I start. Thursday evening--not that crowded. I showed up with my wife, grandson and a good friend whom we were visiting. The waitress was brand new, and let us know from the start. OK, that's cool. But after we had been seated for 15 minutes, another party arrived and in a matter of 20 minutes later were enjoying their entrees while we stat in our booth like addled school children. When we did get our food, things got worse. My dinner was supposed to be polish sausage, which turned out to be what I could only figure was a half ring of Hillshire Farms grocery store meat, cut in half and slapped on the flat top. The sauerkraut tasted canned, and the side was some sorry-looking summer squash. The wife and friend had the pot roast, the portions were very small and my friend's dinner was cold. But the best part of the dinner was my grandson's grilled cheese sandwich. Until I visited this restaurant, I did not know that you could prepare a grilled cheese sandwich blackened. Totally inedible--and they only charged $12.00 for items on the kids' menu. This $115.00-plus dinner was a joke. You have been warned, avoid this place and save your money. Four of us had dinner last night. The dining area was pretty quiet but the bar area was busy. Kim was our server and she was fun and great. To start with we ordered a couple of blood orange margaritas and a couple beers. All were very good. For dinner we had the salmon (great), the gyro (good), and two orders of the ribs(also great!). I don't think you can go wrong here, I think their cut of meat was better than a few other steak houses in the area. We were quoted an hour and a half wait time at Lock n Key and quickly switched gears to find another seafood restaurant last Friday. We had a lovely experience at Howard's! The food was well prepared and very appetizing. The server and hostess were pleasant, smiling, and professional. The jumbo shrimp were huge and very tasty! The Seafood Trio was great - I especially enjoyed the flavor of the scallops which were perfectly seasoned. And the fresh green beans were great! We will definitely return! read more

Waiter was working as hard as he could. Ambiance is good and makes you think the food will be too. Food was mediocre at best, portion size was on the smaller side. Menu looked like a carnival stand, sparse, simple and remarkably uninspired. Usually when we find a place this lacking there's some obvious thing they try to do to make up for it. Here it's just lacking and seemingly unapologetic to boot. I've spent the same amount for amazing food down the road and here it was just sad and I was sorry to have brought visitors. The menu online is not the same as the menu in the restaurant as I was hoping to order the halibut dinner as described online. We ended up ordering two hamburgers with onion rings. When the burgers arrived (it took a little too long for the food to arrive), the burgers did not have lettuce, tomato or onions included as described in their menu and they came with French fries not onion rings as ordered. The buns were not toasted and cold. We pointed out the fact we didn't get the option rings and after 5-10 minutes the waitress came back and said they had no onion rings. We had to ask other tables for catchup and mustard as this was not on the table and we were not offered any. We had the corn chowder soup which had little corn, but lots of potatoes. It was very spicy which was not noted in the menu. My wife had the sauerkraut soup which had only a little sauerkraut in it. I tried to go to the bathroom, but the 2 small bathrooms I was told about had lines, so we waited until we returned home. Overall, the meal cost over $60 including tip and two drinks. Oh, the band was also a little off key and too load to enable a conversation at our table. It was a fun atmosphere and our waitress was pleasant and tried hard. We won't be returning. read more

I can't say enough about Artur's and his staff!! We've been eating their since Hurricane Ian! They were open after the storm and made us feel welcome each and every time. Service is outstanding. Friendly and fast! A true family owned and operated business. Artur is always there making sure everything runs as it should. The food is really good. From the burgers, to prime rib, to lasagna. Have not had a bad meal yet. Their clam chowder has lots of clams which I like. They also have a rewards program. Please give them a try. We go about 430-5 to beat the rush. My friend and i went to Howards tonight we arrived at 7:10 . We were the only ones waiting to get seated. It took about 10 minutes to seat us and the server took and delivered our drinks quickly. This was at approximately 7:23. We sat there until 8:01 when we waved down a waitress and told her we were waiting well over 30 minutes (actually 38 minutes). She started to take our oder and she was told they were our of Ribs. If we had not waved down this waitress we would still be waiting for our server a male in his 40s. We told the server that we would not stay after being treated so poorly. When leaving I asked the original server how long did you think we were going to wait for you. He responded in a sarcastic thanks You. Totally inappropriate I rate them ZERO STARS I will never go to Howards again. Well the first time a this restaurant was a nice experience so we decided to try it again once again on my birthday. Upon entering and being seated by Alex, I informed him that we were not in any kind of a rush. We ordered our beverages and wifey placed an order for pretzeles. Our drinks came and then we order our meals one of which was the prime rib as Alex informed me it was great which came with a salad. We waited a reasonable length of time my salad came and before I could take one bite of it everything else came all at once pretzels, prime rib, wife's Philly cheese steak....hmmmm! Prime rib was room temp the string beans were cold potato hard in the middle. We told Alex that and he said we only have 2 servers and asked if we knew of anyone looking for a job. What a major disappointment he charged us for everything didn't eat the pretzels nor the salad. We usually give an establishment the benefit of doubt and expect them to make it right but you can take this to the Bank there will not be a 3rd visit and we most certainly make it known to family and friends bad news travels faster then good. We went here the other night for the first time and had an enjoyable meal. The lobster raviolis in vodka sauce was very good, the backed lasagna looked good but, I just had a burger that was juicy and well cooked. The perogies for an appetizer were delicious with the sautéed onions. I do have to say the side salads were a little weak with wilted lettuce tat was a bit on the yellow/brown side. The only reason I'm giving this restaurant a 4 is because I feel like the prices were a bit high for what you get. Otherwise, our waitress was so friendly and attentive-despite the restaurant being short staffed and her having 5 tables all arrive around the same time. My husband got a seafood platter, I think it was called the Captain's platter, and he said it was great. My kids got the kid's burger meals, which were huge portions in comparison to the adult entrees. I got the chicken alfredo despite seeing bad reviews on it. I personally loved it, the sauce was thick and creamy. I feel like it should've come with a side of steamed veggies or broccoli. The bread that was brought to the table felt a bit chewy and stale and the house salads were teeny, like 1/3 of what you'd typically get for a side salad. Had lunch here last week, it was a late lunch and the place was empty, this did not stop or server, Diane, from being very attentive. started with clam chowder which was very good. I like Howards new restaurant for sure! It's turned very modern inside. And TADA!!! It's also home to Englewoods first ice bar! Wohoo! I like it alot! The food was prepared very good as well! The salad bar has many unique twists to cold salads and all are very tasty with the exception of the German salad (very bland) to me! All the others however are awesome! The salad bar is included if you order an entree so do yourself a favor, grab 2 plates and try them all out! Ok main course ribs. Wow! So tender I didn't even have to pick up the ribs! The meat just slid right off the bone so easily! So tasty and sauced just right! Great job by the kitchen crew! Someone actually knows how's to prep ribs and by that I mean (meat falls off the bone) these can easily be overcooked and the meat very tough! I should also note the sides tasted great as well! And the dish presentation excellent! The staff here is very friendly and sociable as well! I'll be back at Howards again for sure! Great job so far guys at the new location! read more

My husband and I had dinner here last night. We ordered the Polish platter for two (described as having "homemade" pierogis, stuffed cabbage, pork knuckle, and Polish sausage) and I have to say the only good thing on it was the pork knuckle. Marina was our server and when I was inquiring about the platter- since it was THIRTY-NINE DOLLARS, she said that it was substantial and that everything was homemade. I know Mrs. T's pierogis ANYWHERE and I am appalled that they call themselves an authentic Polish restaurant and actually serve Mrs. T's!!! In addition, the 'homemade' sausages that Marina said came from Chicago tasted JUST like Johnsonville brats. We have been here since February 17th, and this is by far the worst meal we have had. And the fact that they charge almost forty dollars for this rather small plate is disgusting. Come on Howard's...you can do way better than this. And by the way, I did reach out to Howard's with this same information before posting my review because I do feel like they should have the opportunity to receive feedback before people post a negative review. For our 54th anniversary I started calling restaurants and asking if the servers wore masks and maintained social distancing...Howard's complied with all these stipulations...well, my chopped angus beef steak with sautéed onions was THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD...the green beans were cooked great as were the fries! This restaurant has reached the bottom, I hope. This was the worst experience in my life of 72 years. The food was horrible, the service poor, and the pricing is ridiculous. I've never felt ripped off in a restaurant in Englewood until now. Almost $100 for food I couldn't eat, so little for my wife, is beyond belief. Sure the staff wears masks but they hang below their nose. It may have changed it's name to Artur's but it's quality has hit the bottom. Save yourself before ever going there. Very modern. Has a cool strip on bar that keeps drinks cold. Bread was good. But my husband gyro wasn't good the meat was really tough. I had the chicken Parmesan it was ok kindof bland the chicken was good but pasta and sauce jUst eh. Not worth the price we paid. Might be cool to hAng at the bar though. Dined here today with 3 adults and 1 child. I was skeptical about to coming here based on the reviews but I was in a time crunch. I'm a Yelp snob when it comes to restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised. Two of us got the scallops and they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sides consisted of sweet potato fries (the best ever), green beans (super fresh), and gluten-free fettuccine (they nailed it, which is tough for many restaurants). The meals came with a salad as well. LOTS of food. The third adult got a salad, which he felt was good. And it's not just the food, the restaurant is super clean. Try it. You won't be disappointed. The waitress was absent moat of the evening, my food cooled over while waiting for her to finish chatting with the larger tables (about "huntin hog" of all things) and refresh my long empty beverage. The only time I saw any efficiency was when it was time for the check. The manager looked directly at me three separate times while my food was pushed away. She contemplated asking why I wasn't eating but must have thought better of it. The food was decent, the crew in the back must be doing a bang up job.
