Definitely decoration. Some of the pre-potted arrangements were cute in their burlap wrapped pots. Very creative and yet very simple. The plants were well marked and prices easy to find. What I noticed right away was how reasonably priced things were. I can't believe I've never stopped here before. I've driven by it lots of times and have seen it overflowing with plants and vegetables and people and cars. Now I know why. Salem Garden can accommodate the do-it-yourself gardeners and those who prefer others to handle the garden maintenance and landscaping. There's a small house on the property holding gifts such as candles from beeswax and soy as well as bags made from recycled plastic shopping bags and some jewelry and artwork. The hours vary by season but if you see something you absolutely must have, the owners have thoughtfully left instructions on the front door on how you can get what you need.
