The sweetest little lady ever! Definitely going to adopt her as my new Grandma!! My wife had a few things that required altering and after a quick search on Yelp we decided to stop by. As you walk in, be aware that you may not notice her working in the back and she may not see you either. I just stuck my head around the corner, smiled and waved. She smiled back, jumped up and came right out to help us. Be aware her accent is a little difficult to understand but not an issue. Just bring a little patience, she is very nice and her work is worth it!! My wife tried her clothes on so "my new G-ma" could see what needed to be done. She worked quickly and was done fitting everything in no time. We needed a few of our clothes done kinda quickly for an event we were attending. I asked if she could have them done in time...."oh yes" she replied with a smile. I stopped by on our pick up day to grab the few things that we absolutely needed and the best part, not only were the rush items done but all of our alterations were done!! Everything looked great!! She even added a closure to one of my wife's outfits just to be sure it didn't open unexpectedly. Excellent work, above and beyond today's expectations... The bill was next to nothing, and I insisted on leaving her a "tip"....she was very appreciative!! The service, attention to detail and care was amazing. I had a terrible experience with the owner today. I have been coming here to hem my pants for the last couple years and I always paid before giving away my pants. I paid the $15 for the hem, gave my pants, then came in the next day to pick it up. As I was leaving, she said that I had to pay $15. I told her I paid yesterday however since she didn't write the word "paid" in her notebook then she automatically believes I didn't pay. I tried to ask her if she can count her sales from yesterday to see if the math adds up and double check cause I could have made a mistake too. She did not want to do that and insisted I pay up. In the past, she always made me pay before giving my pants and never had any issues. I even said "If I didn't pay why did you take my pants and hem them?" but continued to insist that she didn't receive the money because she did not write it down. I was done arguing with her and had to go to the bank and deposit more cash and just pay her. Sadly I will not be coming back here again. I thought she was a great person who always took care of me but she did not want to help me out and try to solve this issue. It is my fault since I didn't walk out with a receipt but the fact that she was not trying to help me solve the issue was enough for me to leave a bad review. read more

Then she argued with me about what I told her. Then she gave me a reason why she did the change. The worst place I have ever been to. I do not recommend this place for anybody. This lady is argumentative does not own up to her mistakes, it was just a terrible experience. A terrible place to go to. My recommendation is not to come to this location. My daughter went in there to get her dress altered and this lady tried charging her $230 when her dress was $500 and she's tried charging half of what she paid for a brand new name brand dress, just to hem the bottom of her dress wasn't much to do just the length!!! I'm so disappointed how this business was over pricing this way or taking advantage. My daughter went to another place in the same area and was charged $40!!! I went back and explained to the lady my situation and if she could please finish the job the way I initially requested. Very rude woman responded when we politely asked for possibility to get small discount for being a good customer snapped back with "You're not a good customer, I have customers who come here every week and spend hundreds of dollars". She was able to open up the dress using the fabric of the dress and it looked gorgeous. Let me start by saying I never write a bad review. I am so sorry to have brought my daughters dress here. My daughter dropped off the dress 3 weeks prior to prom and it was going to be ready in 2 weeks (which was fine). She gave my daughter a total price of $100, and I thought it was slightly high but wasn't too sure. We talked to a few of our friends over the past few weeks who were getting the EXACT alterations on their dress (hemming) done and the prices varied from $53 in the same area as this alterations shop to $67 in Stevenson Ranch. When I went to pick up the dress I though I might be able to reason with the lady but all she did was smile and say "you should have went somewhere else". Now I really wish I did since I paid 40+ too much for such alterations. Let me add that I made calls to a few other shops in the area to ask about an approximate price and it was substantially lower everywhere. I really think it boils down to this lady taking advantage of a teenage girl. DO NOT GO HERE...Unless you want to be ripped off. read more

This place is fantastic! I went in on a Tuesday morning and my dress was done perfectly by the time I needed it 3 days later for my engagement party. She was helpful, opinionated but not in a over-bearing way, and best of all, I could've even asked for my dress earlier than when I needed it. They do not accept card, only cash or check.
