I ordered a pair of black flowy travel pants online and they were a few inches too long. I needed them for an upcoming trip. I called Julie on Friday at noon. She had them done the next morning at 10 AM. $18 out the door. Very fair price point and incredible service! She was measuring for alterations for a bride when I was there, so clearly she does all types of alterations . I'm one of those shoppers who really enjoys finding a great piece of high end clothing on sale but typically that means it doesn't fit just right either in the arms or legs or waist or something. In the past, I have just not purchased the item. I'm going to have a whole new shopping experience now because I can buy something that I love and I find it a great deal and then just spend a small amount for alterations. Went for my wedding dress, she had a terrible attitude the entire time. I had to go to my fitting by myself and was no help getting me into my dress. I asked to add buttons from my mother's dress. Left the buttons with her. She never added them. Could she not tell me hey I didn't add them would you like them back or can I have clarification on what I should do with the buttons instead of not doing anything with that and realizing after picking up the dress they're not there. She had my number. The bustle was insanely complicated. I asked to record a video of how she did and the answer was: Well that takes a lot of time to re do. You'll get it on the day. Well on the day it's was extremely hard. Our wedding coordinator on the day said she has been to over 100 weddings and no one has ever had such a complicated bustle. It truly took away from my dancing time because we have to keep Re bustling and then it broke. So all in all, maybe just go for some pants tailoring. Cause she'll let you come during your final dress fitting and rush the bride out of the changing room. Because of her terrible attitude and no help energy please do not go there for your wedding dress. You will regret it and miss parts of your night because of it. read more

I didn't get the dress until two months before the wedding. My dress was wearing me before Julie worked her magic. There was so much fabric that I felt overwhelmed, and my sleeves kept sliding off my arms unless I snapped them to the dress (per the design), but then I couldn't move my arms above my elbows. Several week later, Julie had fixed everything, and I finally felt excited about my dress. She did an equally amazing job on my fiancé's suit and my mom's dress. My mother always said, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all." Thankfully, this is Yelp, and I've got a lot to say about Julie. I should have trusted my gut from the get-go and listened closely to the negative reviews regarding Julie's attitude and bad customer experience. However, I wanted to give some benefit of the doubt, and was happy to support a small women-owned business in Santa Clarita. I got my wedding dress in mid-April and quickly called Julie to make an appointment. I left a message and received a text back with availability and confirmed a date and time. Upon arriving, I happily waited a few minutes as she helped another customer, and then was told to put my dress on. Another customer had just walked in without an appointment, and I graciously told Julie that I was not in a hurry and that she could take her while I got into my dress. I found the dressing room to be a bit small for my cathedral wedding gown, but made the best of it. Once in the main fitting room, Julie asked if I was wearing the wedding garments (Spanx) and heels that I would be wearing on my wedding day. Being 5 months out, I hadn't even considered either of those things, and was caught off guard as a first time bride. Suffice it to say, Julie said she could not proceed with my fitting that day, and scheduled another appointment for me three weeks out. I went back into the tiny dressing room, stuffed large poofy, cathedral gown into its bag by myself, and asked if I could leave my dress No problem. Today, I was rearing to go. I had on my nipple covers, Spanx, Boombas AND wedding heels in hand. So excited to finally have my first fitting. I walked in the door at 9:55A, and Julie said I had missed my appointment...she had it written down as 9A, and I was considered a "no-show". She did not have time to take me aside from other days that I was not available. A stressed out bride, amped up for this appointment, I had taken off time from work, and waited 45 minutes in my car in the parking lot so that I would not be late to the appointment. I asked Julie why she didn't bother to call or text me when I hadn't shown up at the time she thought my appointment was. She doesn't offer that courtesy to her customers. I was floored. Why would I not show up to an appointment - especially if my dress was already in her hands? I walked out crying, called my mom to vent, and quickly called another seamstress recommended by my bridal store. A woman with a kind and generous voice answered, set all of my concerns at ease, and made an appointment with me. I walked back into Julie's and took my dress back. read more

Julie is amazing. She saved my wedding dress. I had ordered it online and it didn't zip up all the way, the were straps too thick and the neckline was a little too high. The dress was heavily beaded and embroidered as well so it was not an easy task to fix it. Julie was able to do it within the timeline before my wedding. Looking at the dress now, the alterations fit in seamlessly which is no small feat because of all the detail. She did a phenomenal job and was easy to work with. To make matter worse, when I arrived to pick up my pants, owner kept on insisting I only left 6 pants, instead of 7 I left & told me I was mistaken. Total # of pants (7) was indicated clearly on the receipt, for hem work to be performed. She asked me and my wife to look around her work area. as she was confident there was no other item belonging to me, To her surprise, we found the missing pant with my name tag, she did not yet work on right next to her main work area.
