This place is called by its name because it proudly serves coffee that are rated at least for 84 points . The rating is adjusted based on my 2 separate visits. 1) Atmosphere: 4/5 eco-friendly vibe / modern industrial theme : marble tables, big light bulbs, and bricks on the wall. Got a decent sized outdoor seating. The interior is slightly different on some sides that makes me feel the place is divided as eatery/quick meal spots and study/coffee spots. Definitely recommend for someone who is looking for quiet spots in Addison area. 2) service: 4.5/5 Friendly staffs. Informative (not all of them) about coffee. They seem to be branched from Ascension in downtown as they got the products from them. 3)coffee: 3/5 my first visit, I had cortado that had beautiful/subtle sweet crema that made whole experience pleasant. On my second visit, i tried doppio macchiato and iced americano and both of them were way too acidic, given that staffs already told me they weren't before ordering. A new find close to where I live and it's a good one! Great diff flavors frappes - almond pecan, lavender.. I went with a basic vanilla today and it's perfect! Not overly sweet which is one of the main attraction! The space is super clean and so cute, i can't wait to come back to try more! Oh, and there's a TACO TUESDAY special, $1 breakfast tacos every Tuesday, you can't beat that, especially when you're making a quick run for coffee, you can also grab breakfast! A two-minute walk from the Crowne Plaza hotel I stayed at, this place was an oasis in a desert of office buildings and not much else. Plenty of seating, friendly service and an entire shelf of books to borrow invite you to stay and linger. It was crowded with 20-somethings on a Sunday morning, but not so much to destroy the zen vibe. I really enjoyed their ambient lounge music and lofty ceilings. I would rate it to airport quality food, and definitely not for the price point My family and I arrived before the rush around 10:45 am, and the food was awful. We ordered the kids grilled chicken and fruit for our daughter, and the chicken was dry, hard, and looked like it had been a reused Tyson packaged chicken. When we asked them about it they said it's the only chicken they had, but they could add lemon juice to it......?? Only chicken you had...it's on your menu not sure how you can have a restaurant with that being the last bit of chicken. The potatoes were soggy, and the Pastrami Hash was flavorless, and the latte was served cold. The only decent thing was the bacon. We are huge fans of Ascenscion in Design District and Ascenscion in FW so this was not our first time, but this will be our last at the Addison location. read more

There was plenty of seating inside and a good size patio for outdoor seating. Its location is a little challenging especially if you're planning on visiting during school dismissal times. You may get caught in school traffic since it is right by a school. This shop is not my closest location, but if I'm in the area I'd stop by. read more

An almost perfect coffee shop! Excellent coffee, & tea options. The staff is nice and the atmosphere most of the time makes this an awesome space to study, work or come and read. The cons I have is that acoustics tend to amplify conversations and if a person has a louder voice the whole coffee shop hears it ruining the quiet chill atmosphere. Other con, the baristas never bring you your coffee, they just shout out your name and then expect you to tip toe back to your seat without spilling. I'm ok with carrying my own coffee if it's busy or if there is only 1 person manning the register but to see 3 people just watch me balance my drink to my seat is frustrating. I came in to work from a coffee shop for half a day which is my usually practice and I was blown away but this place. I had a hot tea, sandwich, and a fresh baked pop tart and all were delicious. The service was outstanding and I love how you can order from your table and pay via phone. They also have a plethora of electrical outlets and tables ( even outside if you want). The ambiance is industrial and bright with lots of fresh pastries in the window case for your viewing pleasure. I cannot say enough about the work environment here to get things done. Five stars, because I absolutely love this coffee shop. If I lived closer, I would be driving here every single day! I found this gem while thinking of places to meet up with my girlfriends. I have never had such a bad experience at a craft coffee shop until I entered Ascension coffee in Addison. They have some different cool options for coffee when you walk in and look at their menu so I asked the barista behind the counter (Who had somewhat blue hair and glasses) who was taking orders a few questions about the coffee they had what they tasted like and she was utterly annoyed by the fact that I even walked into the building or that I had the audacity to even speak to her. She was incredibly cold and unapproachable the entire interaction of me and my friend ordering coffee, then proceeded to get my coffee order in correct and when I asked the male barista (shaggy long bowl cut) who made my drink to please add oat milk and caramel syrup to my "doki doki" he was again incredibly annoyed. And side-note we went on a Thursday morning when there were not many people in the shop it wasn't as if they were super slammed and didn't have time to answer my questions they were just genuinely disgusted with the fact that they had to speak to customers. Then let me tell you about this horrific avocado toast that they sell on an un-toasted piece of bread, unseasoned avocado, thick layer of micro cilantro a ton of bell peppers and feta cheese on top which the menu has no description on what comes on anything and after ordering coffee it was clear that they did not want to explain any of the food options so all in all I would give this place as zero out of 10 although the ambience is really beautiful inside the coffee shop. Found a hair and a piece of plastic in the middle of my cream cheese spread that I had already eaten half of My bf and I both got cold brews that were bitter and acidic. If you've been to Ascension coffee in Dallas Arts District then you'll like this place also as its owned by Ascension and it's fairly new in the neighborhood outside of Dallas! Located at the corner of Spring Valley Rd & Midway (Red brick building- hard to find from the main street). Rustic Industrial decor with a welcoming shaded outside patio area (surrounded by pretty dessert willows and pink Myrtle trees). Clean with large seating area inside and outside. Ample parking! We had their cortado with mocha shots which had subtle sweet cream that made the whole experience pleasant, and a lavender iced latte where the lavender flavor was pretty strong unlike any other coffee shops. Both had just the right amount of caffeine we needed and great drinks overall! Super cool baristas and know what you like and how to make it happen. I do find the cafe very spacious. There's plenty of seating here. However, there's not enough parking. Seriously, there's more seats than there are parking spots. Not that it was very busy though. The place is very clean. The atmosphere of ambient music is very engaging for work/study. Their motto is to serve coffee that scores at least 84 points out of 100. I get the idea. Btw, a score of a 100 is like the pinnacle of coffee in the world. I can't tell you if they meet that 84 point mark. Coffee will only be as good as the hands that made it. I'm a personal cold brew fan. Which is what I got. It was not good. It tasted like they used a very dark brew? It kept a lot of the bitterness of regular coffee. Honestly, it just tasted like iced coffee. More over, it tasted like burnt coffee grinds. Not very smooth. The whole purpose of a cold-brew is that the chemical make up changes. There should be no bitterness, it should add some sweet notes, and it should be light. That's just the cold brew though, hopefully their other coffee's are better. I'll be here again to try other things. I find it strange that they have a display of really nice cups, but they gave me a plastic cup. Maybe asking the customer which they would like? I planned to study here for a while, so a glass cup would be much more eco-friendly. All the people around me have plastic or paper cups. The staff were very friendly to me as I walked in. As one took my order and card, the other immediately went to get my drink. Some would consider that a 2 star rating is a bit low for what I wrote. I do not give 5 star ratings unless I am amazed. 4 stars is fantastic. 3 stars is satisfying. 2 stars is, needing improvements. 1 star is, no. Made my first visit to 84 Point yesterday. For a place that takes great pride in the quality of its coffee, they serve up good matcha latte too -- I order mine with soy or almond milk and sweetened. Actually, they have a variety of drink selections for non-coffee drinkers like me ranging from teas, hot chocolates, bottled sodas, and water which is nice. I had a heavy breakfast before arriving so I didn't order any food, but they offer sandwiches, baked goods, and other snacks. As for the space, it's a great place to get some work done or meet with friends -- it's spacious and offers plenty of seating, though like others have noted access to outlets is limited. There's plenty of parking. If spots run out in front of the establishment, there is free parking under the building and easy access to the shop just an elevator ride away from inside the building. My only complaint was that it was a little chilly inside due to some cold weather that swept through the area forcing me to don my jacket the entire stay. I spoke with a very friendly staff member who agreed but explained that the temperature was preset/unchangeable by them. Today we went to pick up coffees, we ordered 2 coffee frape and 1 iced americano but, i needed to wait for 30 mins to get my drinks!!!! They were not busy at all and no was was in front of me. One guy was trining new worker and they were just joking each other and talking each other. This is so ridiculous experience !!! They have to take care of the customer first and then do training or anything!!!! After we picked up our coffee after 30 mins, we tried our coffee but the tasty was so bad, it was watery and no tasty at all!
