This place is wonderful! I came here for dinner and the following day for lunch while in town. I ordered the ravioli of the day for dinner which was fresh lobster ravioli and so delicious! For drinks I ordered a classic lychee Martini with gin and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was 10/10! Service was very friendly and kind! I appreciate how attentive and caring the staff were and many business in the area should take notes on how to provide good quality customer service. The follow day I have the Panonni pasta with sausage and a classic tomato sauce. Tony was the lovely gentlemen that waited on my table! Thank you, TONY! He's also the bartender and makes incredible drinks!

Usually, this is my neighborhood go to spot for lunch or dinner. Tried the brunch service and must say the Avocado toast was extremely disappointing. The toast was presented more as a side act than the main performance. The 2 pieces were insulting small . The meal consisted of mostly potatoes and a bit of salad. When asking about the size of the toast I was told this is its usual size. I say take it off the menu then!

Came in for a brunch on Sunday afternoon and was seated without a reservation. I ordered the shrimp and polenta with a limoncello spritzer. My friend had a crab cake and French fries. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service was amazing and the ambiance was great for a girls day, date, or time with family. Music was at a comfortable level for table conversation and a nice vibe. Will be back.

My last visit was just a glass of wine outdoors during the summer. I've been wanting to come for a meal. Finally had my chance today. Came for an early lunch. We were greeted warmly. Our server made our mouths drool describing the specials. I even drooled over food I don't normally eat. We were given fresh out of the oven bread. We ended up with the following: Sausage and peppers Beet salad with chicken on the side. My husband enjoyed his sausage / peppers dish. It comes with potatoes. I've never had such delicious potatoes. I stole a good number of them. I shouldn't have , not because it was "rude" towards my husband, but I physically have no stomach (due to cancer not a bypass- just to make that clear. Almost 17 year survivor). I was setting myself up for fullness-too-early failure. Worth it. Ha! In my random sample , none were underdone. All perfectly seasoned. Perfectly crispy/ soft. My beet salad was light and refreshing. Each ingredient was the perfect marriage of flavor. The almonds are a good touch. Because my stomachless body requires protein, I got a side of chicken. It actually complemented the salad well. But yes I got too full. In a good way, at least. Such a nice place to have lunch! We made a good Resy choice today.

Accione bistro is a great spot to grab a meal and a drink in Hyde park. A fairly small place but the attentive service and care was great. The food was delicious as well if you are looking for something light or more filling they have options for both. Our filet mignon was cooked to a great medium rare temp and the wedge salad and potatoes complimented the steak greatly. Also the octopus was a great option as it wasn't too crunchy or soft. I would definitely go back to this spot again for lunch or dinner.

This Hyde Park restaurant is it's not necessarily a hidden gem but one that easily I forget about and I hate that I do because the food is so good here. My friends came in here after a long day of Pickleball so we were in need of some carbs and protein and it's definitely fit the Bill. The pasta was absolutely amazing and I have them add on lobster to mine, but I was very jealous of my friend risotto that she got because hers actually came with the actual lobster tails on it which next time I go, I would definitely be getting if they still have it on the menu. The drinks were amazing and of course the bread was a favorite of ours. We were able to do a walk-in and was seated right away, which was pretty cool. Our waiter was very nice and good with recommendations to which I appreciate it because I'm sometimes gonna be a picky eater and so when asking probing questions, he answered them with grace

This is my go to restaurant for a quick date night or solo when I'm feeling like sitting down This restaurant is one of my favorite hidden place in Hyde park Chicago . The have #unlimitedmimosas for 18$ and one of the cheapest so far in Chicago . I had the *Basil Pesto Brunch Gnocchi *Pork belly, sundriedtomatoes, wild mushroomstopped with poached eggs And my date had the Nutella French Toast (V) (Which was vegetarian friendly ) Ganache, nutella , strawberries. Service was great and waiter was very attentive and come around often to ask us how we were doing and refill our water as well . Both our meal was delicious and the French toast was so good and fluffy .

We were sat outside in their heated and fully covered patio, so I can't comment on what the actual restaurant looks like. Cozy vibes regardless though! It was windy out, but I felt none of it inside their safe haven! Our water was never even half empty, the wait staff were super attentive! They start you off with a bread basket and olive oil mixture. My friend and I shared the tagliolini, which was an incredibly rich black truffle cream pasta. Bonus points for being hand made with egg!! The pennoni was 75% sausage and 25% pasta - I do wish the ratio was a bit more even. Def had a tiny spicy kick here, and the flavors were bold and layered perfectly! The tiramisu was definitely the best dish of the night - a very shareable portion with a nicely whipped fluffy cream and a delicious cake base. One of the best I've had - Yum!! Would order again!

Ascione Bistro can no wrong in my eyes! Everything comes out fresh and hot. The service is always top tier and very attentive. I live their brunch but their dinner is the show stopper. The interior is small yet cozy and intimate.

Another fine meal at this restaurant. Started with the arugula and truffle oil salad. Delicious. Then the Branzino, which was prepared perfectly. I don't often order this fish because it is shipped so far. Once in a while is OK. For dessert, I had the Affogato. Espresso over their vanilla ice cream is a delicious wake me up. Service here is a team effort and they were very attentive. The space is comfortable, and the tables do not appear to be pushed too close together We were seated in the back close to the kitchen and the bar, but the servers went back-and-forth without bothering us with their proximity

What is the current price for the Fiorentina steak?

110$ with rosmerry potatoes and Tuscan beans

Just curious, what is the average wait time from when the order is placed to the meal reaching the table if dining in?

It was earlier this summer we dined outside because of pandemic. I'd say maybe 12-15 minutes at most.

    Is there a luncheon menu?

Yes, you can find a link to a .pdf of the menu on their website: http://ascionebistro.com/

If you have seen any of my other reviews, I always get a meatball when I'm at a place that has them. They almost never live up to my expectation. But this place has the new gold standard for a meatball. It was everything you want. It is fork tender, full of flavor, no chewy ground up bits. The pizzas were authentic and thin. With fabulous house made red sauce that wasn't too thick and overwhelming. The flavor was A+ The cocktails were so good! All made from scratch with love. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Perfect for a group or a date. They have a full bar, and also great seating with perfect lighting. This is a new favorite for me in the city.

The ambiance is nice with the restaurant not too dark but still has moody lighting. The entire time we sat down there was a huge group of people waiting for a table, so definitely make a reservation! Caesar salad was interesting, it has chopped celery inside which I didn't realize until I started eating. I don't like celery but my sis does and she liked it in the salad. I came here for a business dinner with about 6 others. The only frustrating part of our experience was we made a reservation online weeks in advance and when we arrived we were told that they basically overbooked every night and when you reserve a seat you're just saying you're coming. So we showed up and were told we were going to wait an hour. It sounds like they are super busy, but there are better ways to ensure the restaurant is selling every available seat rather than offering basically fake reservations that don't mean anything when you get there. Someone in our group complained enough about it that they sat us and did honor the reservation which we appreciated - given that it was a business dinner though, I think it was awkward we had to do that. It just was a LOT of work to organize multiple out of towners getting together and to show up and potentially wait an hour would have been so inconvenient. They really should fix this problem. The reservation issue aside the experience was great. The service is just sort of meh I didn't feel like they were above or beyond and didn't note anything exceptional there. But the food..... the food is the main event for sure. Everything I tried I loved. I had just had Italian the day before so I didn't want anything that felt "too Italian" (lasagna, pasta, pizza, etc) so I got the braised short rib over polenta which was a nice change of pace. It was amazing. Some of the best polenta I've ever had. I am already looking forward to the next time I can go back! The food here is outstanding. If you are able to go, I would highly recommend it.

The Alla Vita chopped was pretty standard, kinda reminded me of Olive Garden salad lol. The stars of the meal were the tagliatelle and cappelletti pasta. Both were super flavorful and pasta cooked well. The bone-in ribeye was a little on the sweeter side, definitely lacked a crust and salt. I'd pass on the steak IMO. Our biggest qualm was the timing of the dishes coming out. The pasta came out 30-35 minutes after the appetizer and salad which is fine, but the steak coming out 15 minutes after the pasta kinda ruined it. We'd love to eat the entrees (steak and pasta) together, and not finish our pasta first or let it go cold then eat steak alone.. ya know? We had ordered crispy potatoes but cancelled due to the wait. Ended the night with mango passion fruit sorbet with a prosecco float. Big mistake on the prosecco float haha it was so tarte and bitter, would def recommend trying the sorbet alone!
