Overall, a really good place to stay when visiting morro bay/San Luis Obispo/Paso Robles area. This is obviously in morro bay and it's maybe 3 blocks away from the water front. This is not the same as a beach as far as I could tell, but there's still plenty to do (farmer market, shops, food etc) along the water front around the gigantic Morro rock. Rooms here are 2nd or 3rd floor so generally you will get a view of the bay and Morro rock. We went during Memorial Day and it was pretty busy it seemed. There's onsite parking but we ended up parking on the street as spots were taken up which there was plenty of street parking. The hotel location is nice to explore the town since it sits on the main road as you come into town off the 1 freeway so pretty much everything there is to see is walking distance away. The rooms are pretty nice and though they advertise as a boutique hotel, it was more boutique lite. There's a nice open patio on the 4th floor which is shared with other guests too. Breakfast had some pretty good options overall, definitely a step above all prepackaged foods but no omelette station or higher end breakfast if that's what you are looking for. They also have a water refill station so bring your water bottles! Now for the meh, the tv in our room seemed to not be able to connect to internet consistently so if you rely on Netflix Disney+ etc then see if they can give you a room in the single digits like 200-209 or 300-309. Perhaps those are closer to the internet as my room was closer to the end 317ish. The real reason for the 3 star review is due to the room my friends were staying in. On the second night we were there, a gas leak occurred somewhere due to the fireplace that appears to be in every room? Or most rooms? The leak caused the smell of gas to be really strong and uninhabitable where my friends had to stay at another room which was already occupied since there were no vacancies I believe. You'd think they'd at least have the foresight to reimburse the room for the night right? But nahhh, my friends are fighting it as if this isn't an open and shut case. read more

We spent the weekend in Morro Bay for my birthday and stayed at Ascot Suites and the check-in was so easy. The location was perfect, within walking distance to all great shops and restaurants. The view from the 4th floor roof top was amazing and had such a private feel. We really enjoyed the fireplace in our room and jacuzzi tub. Complimentary wine and snacks was perfect and Bina was the perfect host. She made us feel welcomed and gave us VIP treatment. We read the old reviews and were skeptical but our room was perfect and the bed was really comfortable. The facility was in great condition and the breakfast was really good!! The Ascot Suites is located in the heart or downtown Morro Bay, just a block from the main Embarcadero! This hotel is incredibly walkable to shops, restaurants and the water front. I requested early check-in ahead of time and was told this could be accommodated. However I did not arrive until standard check in time and there was no room ready. Had to wait until around 5:00 pm, which was frustrating considering i had requested a early check-in. Once inside, the room is very nice. It has a beautiful view of Morro Rock, cozy fire place and a great bathtub! The property has had a complete overhaul compared to it's previous state of disrepair. The free breakfast was just okay nothing special. Parking was easy and convenient with elevator directly to rooms. Overall, if you are able to get a good deal this is a solid place to stay. read more

Stayed here one night. Friendly staff and good value. Our room was quite large and spotlessly clean. The only issue was the lack of sound proofing. We could easily hear the guests above us and anyone making noise in the hallway. That was a bit frustrating. read more

Sofa in our 1-BR unit had a broken arm and was not comfortable for sitting. Upholstery on oversized chair in BR was badly worn and beginning to tear. Reading Light above one side of king bed didn't work. Electrical on other side frequently flickered. Patio screen door didn't slide not easily slide. Handle broken off. Screen torn. Patio furniture loaded with seagull droppings. Refrigerator in the room badly dented. The sitting table in front of FP was OVERSIZED for the tiny space and only had one chair....not that you could fit another around it, but some better sized furniture would have helped. We have stayed at Ascot many times. We were excited to see the renovations. 1. Our spare blanket had stains all over it 2. The other king redshirt had something that looked like vomit. The fridge didn't work. 3. I was in room 204 by the elevator and all day and night that's all we heard loud talking in the hall. The people above us banged around all night and we never got any sleep. Told the front desk all they said was OK. 5. The mold by the bathtub was absolutely disgusting. I booked this hotel through priceline. Just like other bigger hotels or small hotels i never had a problem with the room i specifically pick with the price. When i checked in, they said the one i booked is 2 king bed, i said i booked a 1 king bed with the whirlpool tub and a patio. I showed the lady in the front the picture and she said to call priceline coz its a 3rd party. Ive always used priceline in even bigger hotels and i always get what i booked for. She said if i want a whirlpool tub i have to do an upgrade for $40, i said ok thats fine. When we got in the room its a regular jetted tub, not a whirlpool tub which is another lie from this worker. She got my number and said she will talk to her manager regarding the booking and said ill get a call a few days. I know she was lying again and still never got a phone call from anybody. I also called to ask for my jacket and she said the housekeeper left already for the day and that she didnt know where they put the lost and found and that the room we were at was occupied already. I said thats messed up, she called back saying that she got my jacket. We went to pick it up and the sliding door from when we left was still the same and looks like nobody cleaned our room yet. I dont know why this employee of yours is such a liar. I hope that the management would straighten this with their employees because its disappointing and deceiving. Front desk Indian lady was very rude. Someone pulled the fire alarm at 5:00 AM and I went to the front desk and nobody was there. I called the phone number and no answer. Someone finally turned off the false fire alarm at 6:30 AM. I went to ask the lady at 7:00 AM if we could check a bit later due to the alarm waking us all up and she immediately got irritated and raised her voice claiming "I do not control nature". Also, the cleaning crew entered our room when we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on. I do not recommend this place and thankfully we had this negative experience now rather than later when I was going to book several rooms for my colleagues. read more

After driving 300miles to celebrate my 65th birthday..Big senior day, checked in and paid for my room in full . Being my 4th stay at the property, I paid the extra for a King Balcony . Once I arrived to the room there was no balcony. I went to the reception area and informed the receptionist that I had reserved and paid for the King Balcony showing the confirmation email. 1st excuse "I don't know how the computer switched your room " second excuse " the other receptionist switched it on the previous shift " . I kindly asked for a refund on the transaction since I wasn't getting what I paid for.."response was "I can't issue refunds" as I debated the fact that I paid for something I wasn't getting.. She screamed at me " Don't interrupt me when I'm speaking.. After yelling at me for a while, there was no way I was staying there..To many choices to put up with that attitude.. As I was leaving she was conveniently talking to the manager on the phone whom she couldn't get a hold of to discuss the issue. Before leaving the room I called my CC company to dispute the $490.00 so it was on record I would be disputing it and it was already pending on my card .The only good thing is the charges were gone right away after leaving the hotel.. We loved everything about our stay at Ascot Suites in Morro Bay. We stayed two nights, Friday through Sunday. The hotel is in the perfect location, right in downtown, and so close to the Embarcadero. We didn't use the car one time from arrival to departure, everything was walking distance. The room was clean, updated, spacious, and beautiful. Love the lighting throughout the building. The black and white color scheme gives each space a classic, elegant feeling. The room had a gas fireplace, a large round table and comfy chairs, a leather couch, lots of mirrors, a closet, dresser, refrigerator, and a balcony with a view of morro rock + the three stacks. Breakfast is complementary and is enjoyable for being served right on location & for free. They offer eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, oatmeal, orange juice, apple juice, milk, coffee, and have a waffle machine. I made a waffle with butter & syrup, it was crispy and delicious! I was content to eat in the very cute breakfast space. There are microwaves, with plates, bowls, and disposable silverware available by the ice machines - handy for snacking on leftovers from nearby restaurants. All employees we encountered were kind and helpful. There is a rooftop terrace - which I'm sure is wonderful! We actually enjoyed our room & the close proximity to all things fun SO much that we never made it to the 4th floor. We were offered a glass of wine at the front desk in both nights of our stay, which we accepted. There was also a bottle in our room, which was a nice option to enjoy. It really felt like great care was taken in each aspect of a guests hotel stay... It was a absolutely wonderful stay and we will certainly be back to stay at the Ascot again in the future!!! read more

We were really excited to stay at Ascot Suites, our travel got really delayed and we wouldn't/ didn't arrive until almost 3 in the morning, we called them around 9pm to let them know we wouldn't be arriving but no one answered the phone. We then proceeded to call Expedia (who we booked through) and they attempted to call them multiple times with no answer. When we finally arrived in the lobby we could hear the phones going off non stop with no one there. We looked around the lobby to see if there was a sign or anything but couldn't find a sign to help us. We then had to drive 2 towns over to finally be able to find a place to stay, called Ascot Suittes the next morning with someone at the front desk talking down on her coworkers and being really argumentative and defensive when trying to find a solution for refund/ cancelling our stay at Ascott Suites. The whole process until we were able to get a refund took 4 days before they reluctantly granted it. read more

I stayed this past weekend and did not enjoy my stay multiple sheets were stained or dirty. I don't have a photo of the first sheet but it had oil stains. There was no AC remote. The elevators and walls were pretty dirty. I'd expect more for the amount that was charged. The bed also was not well maintained as soon as I sat it broke. Manager offered no compensation. I'd stay somewhere else. Staff were nice but the lobby is not 24 hours is closed at 10. read more

Rude and unprofessional. We arrived after the stated check-in time and were told the room was not ready. One woman at the front said she would go up and see about the room condition, and the other woman at the front said she would call us with an update in 30 minutes. 45 mins went by without a call so we called back. She said that the room was not ready and that she had no eta on when it would be ready. We asked why she didn't have an eta and she said she's just a front desk person and not responsible for housekeeping. The pictures online looked amazing! But when we walked in at 6:36 we saw that the front desk worked had just gone on break right before we walked in. We were right out front and were gathering things from the car for a few minutes in eye shot of the desk so she would have seen us arriving before going on break. We went ahead and waited the full 30 minutes after driving since early in the morning (we were making a stop here during a road trip) and went inside to ring the bell once right at 7:05 to let them know we were here. The worker came bursting out of the closet and started accusing us of things and talking down on us saying we couldn't read the sign stating she was back at 7:05. I read the sign perfectly. We had to walk by a few times to bring some stuff upstairs and she did not apologize or say anything to us. This was no way to treat a customer. I wasn't aggressively ringing the bell or calling back to see if anyone was back there, just using the bell that was placed on the counter to be rung when needing assistance at the time that was posted when assistance would be available. What a beautiful and delightful place Ascot Suites is! The staff, especially Marisol, the building; the rooms, the continental breakfast, the wine and cheese in the evenings, the walking distance, literally one block, no matter which way you go. You will run into something to do and something to eat, the views from the room, the comfortability of the bed......EVERYTHING is top shelf! Let me start with my booking experience when I actually called and talked to Marisol, who was kind and able to answer all of my questions before booking. As soon as I entered, she was the first person I met and of course was smiling and making me feel welcomed and valued. It was so thankful that I decided to stay at Ascot suites. The outside of the hotel is beautiful and the inside of the hotel is modern with some amazing lighting as you're going through the hallways. The King suite with a balcony has a huge floor plan with a very comfortable couch, and of course, a romantic view of the rock. They have a very thorough continental breakfast in the morning with different fresh cereals, waffles, fruit, and many other breakfast items available for you. There are some nights that they offer wine and cheese. I did take it advantage of this and was poured a glass of red wine. That was absolutely delicious. The bathroom is huge as well as the bathtub. Considering that I am 6 foot one inch and was able to fit in the bathtub. I called that a victory. On the fourth floor is a rooftop outside patio that is absolutely beautiful. They have some nice seating out there with sunshades for the daytime. The views of Morro rock and also parts of downtown are just fantastic and worth going upstairs and enjoying. There were a lot of very nice other guests that I was able to meet during the breakfast time. The hotel is dog friendly (with paid deposit), as is ALLLLL of Morro Bay, so feel free to bring Fido, as long as they are nice and well behaved. Ascot Suites has plenty of parking in their lot outside as well as under the hotel. Come stay, bring the kiddos, Fido, Gramma and Grampa! The most uncomfortable hard hotel bed I think I have ever slept on. Me and my boyfriend tossed and turned all night the both nights we stayed there. Also, the rooftop fireplace didn't work which would have been nice to keep us a little warm while out on the patio. The shower faucet leaked for quite a while after turning it off. The entire theme of the hotel is giving downtown Hollywood instead of a nice coastal theme. Not impressed and we will not be back. read more

From the minute we entered the door, Ascot Suites felt like a business that is cared for by its employees. The manager chatted to know us a bit and offered us a glass of wine. From the elevator to our room, everything was clean, stylish and had extra touches such as a gas fireplace in the room and Jacuzzi tub. Traveling with a larger group, Marisol at the front desk took great care of us all with a warm smile. They even rallied when one of us lost our eyeglasses and helped to return them. A complimentary glass of wine was offered in the afternoon along with fruit, cheese and crackers. The roof patio can see to the ocean although we enjoyed it under the stars around the gas fireplace on an outdoor sofa. It felt safe as they had thoughtfully considered security both from the parking lot and after hours. Again this felt like a place where the employees care and I would stay with them again. The only recommendation I could suggest is an optional mattress pad upon request for those who do not do well with firm mattresses, however I'm not sure how that could work logistically. We're on floor 2, which sucks cuz people above us cannot stop walking back and forth 24/7! How about some tall chairs and tables, so I don't have to look through the grates. We decided to stay at the Ascot suites for one of our 2024 trips because it was renovated within the last year. Our first time staying here was a good experience. Friendly staff with a nice size upgraded room and bathroom. The rooftop having a lounge area was a huge bonus. Beautiful views and comfortable seating with a fire pit for chilly nights. It's a beautiful hotel, with great accommodations. Staff are kind. They are pet friendly (we brought our yorkie). Our room was big and comfortable (rm 314). We opted for two queen beds with a balcony (they were actually king beds). The beds weren't overly hard, plenty of pillows. You could see the Three Stacks and Morro Rock from the balcony. Beautiful view of the horizon on their rooftop. We were close in vicinity to the Embarcadero (walking distance). Breakfast was great, woke up early to walk our dog and no one was in the breakfast area, but as we walked through it several times it wasn't ever really crowded. My wife and I were really looking forward to going back there as this is where we stayed 26 years ago and I proposed to her. We remembered how nice it was and its close proximity to everything. We were VERY disappointed with the sad state of this place. From the moment we walked in I could see extensive water damage behind the counter. After we parked in the garage we had to walk up the ramp which had all the carpet torn off. We walked past a large pile of discarded furniture including a very soiled mattress. This was a shame because there was plenty of room behind the green privacy fence to store it all. As we walked up the carpet-less ramp, a smashed up trash can greeted us at the top. The elevator looked like there was a fight in it with smashed up ceiling panels and damage. When we arrived to our 3rd floor king room with a balcony, it smelled very musty inside. The couch was dirty and the fireplace did not work. The chairs on the balcony were covered in seagull poop and we could not sit on them. The mini fridge did not work properly, although the employee who came up to check it out insisted it did. We paid extra for a jacuzzi tub that had a large crack in it and a very terrible caulking repair around the entire outside. The heat lamp above the tub/shower would only turn on if you wiggled the bulb. A little dangerous if you ask me. They had replaced the bathroom door with a sliding barn door with no handle on the inside and the original frame work was still in place. We could clearly see they just cut a chunk of wall out to put it in. There were many spots on the walls where you could see things were ripped out and they did a sloppy putty job over it. ALL the shelves and towel bars were hung sloppily and loose on the walls. All the drawers and cabinet doors were crooked and did not close properly. We were excited to read that they had an omelette station at breakfast. If you call microwaved egg patties and sausage an omelette station. They did have bagels and pastries, cereal, yogurt, juice and a waffle maker. Which leads me to the day I discovered where they keep most of that food when they aren't feeding it to the guests. The office door was left open snd there were piles of bags of bread and bagels stacked on the floor in the corner and oranges literally laying on the floor. They did put out cheese and cracker platters with fruit every evening which we did not partake in. We were also happy to hear they had converted the roof into a nice sitting area with a fireplace. The view was great. The fireplace did not work for the entirety of our stay. Our next to last night we woke up to the ac wall unit choking and making noises only to find that it died and leaked water all over the floor and couch. Yuck! Despite all this, we had a great time in Morro bay and took in all the sites. We look forward to going back and staying somewhere else. read more

Was in town for the Triathalon and the team was soo helpful. They were willing to work with us on all requests and even mailed us something we left in the room by mistake (3 attempts due to my mistake). Room was clean and breakfast every morning. Interesting place. I think the management means well but like some have mentioned the place seems a bit at disarray and "cobbled together". First off the front desk is not 24hrs and they lock the doors between the main lobby and suites after 10- while guests are not locked in, per se, it feels a little funny. We also came in late to check in (right after 9:30pm) and felt weirdly guilty and apologetic. Parking lot is a bit small but was not an issue during our stay. They have covered parking as well but we opted for the main lot as it seemed less crowded and we were able to see it from our room. The ladies at the front desk were friendly enough and provided the info that we needed. The wi-fi was there apparently but we couldn't really get it to work or it was just ridiculously slow. Either way we just resorted to using our phone data which was fine for us. In the rooms they provided these free reusable water bottles which was very nice of them! Our room has a fireplace but we didn't use it. AC was easy to adjust. The room easily quite large and roomy, and had a refrigerator. The lights would dim or flicker when the fridge would go on... so in general the place seemed a bit rickety and needs definitely some design consultation. The place in general reminded me of those old european hostels in terms of decor and design. On the plus side plenty of bedside lights and outlets. Showers were a highlight with high water pressure and big rainfall shower heads. We did have a little balcony, and we were also able to hear our neighbors on their balcony (we were inside with doors closed)- but it wasn't too loud and was quiet by 10pm or so. Microwaves on a couple of the floors if you want to make a trip to heat something up and bring it back again. Our room keys kept not working the second day, and it was a little inconvenient to have to haul our bags back down to the first floor, wait for reception to come off break, and have them reprogram the keys. We did not try their included breakfast but it looked like the usual continental faire, we were out early each day so missed it. Coffee in room only had dry creamer (no liquid creamer) so the coffee was subpar. Honestly in retrospect while the hotel was not BAD, it was definitely not luxury. But given the cheap(er) price, convenient location, and roominess of the rooms and nice showers, I would give 3 stars. read more

We wanted to take a weekend and see Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Places that were closer seemed to be nothing better than a roadside motel, so we decided to stay in Morro Bay. Booked Ascot Suites. The Good: *Front Desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful *Room was furnished as pictured on their website and was comfortable *Fireplace was a nice and welcome part of the room *Parking was ample The Bad: *They need to invest in a new room entry system. The first room we were assigned had a door/lock that refused to open. The second room we were assigned had a door/lock that only worked sporadically (had we come back to the room after front desk staff left for the night, we would have been locked out of our room with all our things inside it - thankfully we got back at 9 and Allison was able to help us get into our room). They need a new keycard/lock system - the old one is clearly failing *I've never stayed in a place that did not offer basic cable so you could at least watch the day's news or weather. Our room had a TV but you had to sign into your streaming services for anything to watch. You had no ability to watch any kind of Live TV (my live TV streamer does not allow for watching live broadcasts outside my home base). Streaming worked fine the night of check-in but next morning the TV was not getting a good signal from the hotel's WiFi, so we could not watch a thing while getting ready for our day. *The bathroom is partially renovated but they decided to leave an old jacuzzi tub instead of removing it and replacing it with a modern tub/shower combo. Trying to shower was a challenge as the tub has no non-slip traction and no grab bars to hold onto. I showered while doing my absolute best to not slip and break a leg - it was a challenge and not something a guest should have to worry about. *Ascot Suites wins the prize for the worst pillows I've ever been provided in a hotel/motel - the bed was firm, which would have been fine had the pillows been plump and comfortable, but management clearly cheaped out when purchasing pillows. We were both constantly waking up, shifting around and trying to get comfortable all night long. In summary, you can see where management made an effort to renovate and where they decide to be as cheap as possible. I would not stay here again based on the stay we just experienced. read more

Where do I even begin. First off don't be fooled by the beautiful photos they post of the rooms. It's nothing like them in real life. The "suite" is an actual joke. Holes in the walls, dirty bathtub. No streaming services, AC doesn't work. Now let me get to the highlight of Ascot, the bed! I got a massage prior to sleeping here and felt so good and this bed ruined my body. I didn't sleep one bit and the amount of pain I am in from basically sleeping on concrete and cardboard is unbearable. I am so disappointed in this place and I don't want anyone to ever waste their money here. I have one more night booked here and I will not be staying and I am requesting a full refund. We arrived at the hotel after booking a king room, balcony and jetted tub. Even received a confirmation email from Expedia. However, the hotel told me Expedia sent them a 2queen bed with balcony (and regular tub). The staff acted like we were an total inconvenience. I showed her my confirmation email. She said they would have the room by the next day and have housekeeping clean it first thing in the morning. We took the wrong room because everything else was booked. The mattresses were literally like plywood. The next morning around 10, still no call about switching rooms and the housekeepers were cleaning every room BUT the one I was told we would be moving into so I went down to the front desk and inquired. There was a new woman working and she had no idea what was going on. Totally acted like she had all day to check on it and get back to me. We waited until around 1pm with no response from the front desk so I called down. I explained that we didn't want to have to wait in our room all day for a transfer and asked them to call me when it was ready. Around 1:35 I got a call that it was ready so I went down to the front desk to get the key. They didn't even offer to bring it up to me. We changed to the correct room. This one still had a super uncomfortable bed, glass panel missing in the refrigerator cabinet. We left and went to explore and spend time with family. When we arrived back to our room around 9pm, I went to run the tub and there was no hot water so I called the front desk. I was informed that they would not be coming to my room to check it out but that someone would be sent the next day. When I asked what time, I was told they didn't know. At this point, we started looking online for a new hotel and would have checked out at 9:30 that night. Unfortunately, everything was booked until the next night so we booked that, got up early and checked out a day early from this room. I handed the key to the front desk woman around 10:30a.m. and told her we were checking out early. That our stay was absolutely terrible. Both of the front desk women that we dealt with acted like our stay was not important. We did not feel valued or appreciated for wanting to stay there. When I requested a copy of my stay be emailed to me, it showed my checkout date as the original checkout date, NOT, the day before when I actually checked out. I am still trying to reach the hotel for an updated copy of my stay reflecting that I checked out early. Will never stay here again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. read more

Unfortunately still under construction and the rooms updated have bugs to be worked out. The fireplace kept turning off and on, no hair dryers in the work. I had to ask for it at the desk. Location is great but there's alot to overlook. Onl y 1 person on duty so if they were away I had to wait for questions to be addressed. That being said the clerk was very friendly and helpful The heater/air conditioner unit blew hot air even though the temp read 68. I slept with window open. read more

I don't even know where to start with this review. Just terrible. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude when we checked in, almost like we were inconveniencing her. Get to our room and we walk in to a basically empty room as it only has a winged back chair and a desk (wasted space). The bedroom decor was so outdated. The wallpaper and wallpaper borders were peeling off the walls. The curtains were coming off the rod. There was an old dresser that was made into a makeshift TV stand, the mini fridge made a horrible humming sound and was not level. The bathroom: bleh! Tub and tile were not caulked correctly, fixtures not caulked. There was a hair on the soap dish and the exhaust fan when turned on sounded like a siren...that was almost comical. The balcony had rotting wood, however the view of the rock was ok. The only slightly decent thing about this place is that it's walking distance to the Embarcadero, but then again there are way nicer places to stay that are also walking distance. read more

Bad business practices. I stayed there a week before thanksgiving, my aunt booked the room and paid. When I arrived they couldn't find my name then when they found me they said that my room wasn't paid for. That's fine, I paid for the room. But for some reason I was charged the room incidental fee and another random charge, when I called to inquire as to why and if they can provide an itemized invoice, I was told it would be refunded. It has not: I have sent emails and have called and spoken to Tammy and the manager Bina and the issue still has not been resolved. I spoke to Bina and she stated that her accountant was going to look into the charges and get back to me. I haven't heard from her since. For the past 1-2 weeks Bina has stopped returning my phone calls and has ignored my emails. It's been such a headache dealing with them. They have bad business practices and I would not recommend anyone stay here. read more

I do not recommend this place. We were charged over $450 for a "suite". Here are some pictures from our stay. We tried to move hotels because our back door patio did not lock. (Couldn't find one on such short notice) The front desk gave us a broken broom handle to try to close the door, which did nothing. The room looked like it was under construction. The shower did not have any water pressure, and poured water from the spout. The walls were scratched up and the curtains we over sized and took up a ton of room on the floor. We couldn't open the curtains as the rods were bent because the curtains were too heavy. The tub was filthy and the room had a smell to it. The bathroom door was dirty and did not close. We found a dirty wash rag in the basket before we even walked in. The front desk told us management and maintenance were out for the weekend. I tried contacting management several times after the fact, but my phone calls and e-mails have been ignored. Save yourself some money and your patience. read more

I have stayed here a few times already. I like the location, cleanliness of room, the fact breakfast is included, the covered parking lot with direct access to a side entrance to the elevator and lobby. However, this last time I was not very satisfied with the service at the front desk as I was charged twice for my stay. The only reason why I was given a refund or got reimbursed, is because I noticed the 2nd charge on my credit card that night and brought it to their attention. It took a while for problem to be resolved because manager wasn't available until next day. The main reason for giving them four stars is because of the very small and uncomfortable pillows on our king bed! I had a very hard time sleeping because of this. The biggest disappointment was their rooftop area. We were looking forward to spending time there since it overlooks "The Rock" and the bay. It was dirty, dusty, lots of bird poop everywhere, cushions were ripped. Other than these issues, it was a good stay. read more
