This is after the credit check. The furniture has to be delivered to FLORIDA!!!!!! Did they not know this? How can u Run a credit if you have no clue in policy/rules etc? My issue is not with the sales person, Kesler really made our shopping experience easy and is a good guy overall, my issue is with their delivery/customer service department. I have never been talked down to or disrespected I such a manner. My wife and I bought about 6500 worth of furniture and all of the items were delivered at different times. We were shown a great deal on an entertainment center and we SPECIFICALLY asked if it was a floor model, and we were assured it was brand new. They were supposed to deliver it on a Saturday between a 3 hour time frame and when it was passed the time, I called the "Customer Service" number, which should DEFINITELY not be called customer service, and was on hold for 45 mins just for the rep to tell me that we were not on the list for that day. My wife and I both took turns taking off of work for the other deliveries so they said they could do it on a weekday at a later time so we agreed. When they delivered the entertainment center, it was scratched, broken knobs, and had missing shelves, but told it was done during "transport." They offered us a different one at the same price, which again, the store did it's job, but when I called the Customer Service number to REQUEST a later time in the day for it to be delivered, I was bombarded by Britney with nothing but disrespect and rudeness. She raised her voice at my like I was her child! I told her, I'm speaking calmly, you should do the same and she tells me, or yells at me stating "I hate when the stores do this" I told her, I'm not the store, in a customer and I would like got you to lower your voice to which she replied, "this is the way I talk, I talk loud".. WOW WOW WOW.. I didn't even get a chance to ask my request, I asked to speak to a manager, and she said they were all in meetings, and they will tell me I can't change my time anyway. So far I am less than impressed by Ashley. We purchased furniture on Saturday, were told that it would be delivered on Tuesday in the afternoon which was fine but after my wife had already taken that afternoon off of work they tried to confirm our delivery time for the morning. That may not sound like a big deal and I'm not going to go into details as to why it is for us but the fact that the salesman adamantly said that it would be an afternoon delivery and we prepaid for that is disappointing to say the least. Then to add insult to injury the person on the phone "confirming" our delivery date told me that there were two options, either reschedule for a date that was more in line with our schedules (which is what we thought we did when we bought the furniture) or just cancel the order completely. I bought a $450 kitchen table with a 2 week delivery date. But more than 4 weeks went by and the warehouse had still not received the table. In frustration I ended up demanding a refund. A month later, my mother bought a $2200 couch. They promised a 3 week delivery and also a 10% discount if she paid in cash. 5 weeks went by, and she still has not received the couch. None of the salespeople or warehouse people were able to give a delivery date. She still has not received her couch. Perhaps if the problem were only with my table, we could say it's bad luck. Update April 6: My mom did eventually receive the sofa and is relatively happy with the service provided. She talked to someone who had been a salesman for Fingers/Ashley for over a decade, and he literally did anything to make her a satisfied customer. After writing the review I was contacted by Ashley through this site and my issue was escalated. Later that evening I received a call from the store and a reasonable explanation was given for the issues of that day. On Aug 19 I received a call from the DSG escalation department and discussed all issues with my purchase and was given a date that my order would be complete. I picked up my headboard on Aug 28 in good condition. I am very happy with my purchase as it is exactly what I wanted. I still believe Ashley needs to work on a solution to the service issues that brought me and others to the site with bad ratings. I am an operations manager and believe 1 call should solve problems, that is what my clients expect when they have an issue with my company's services. read more

DO NOT buy from ASHLEY Furniture in Katy Do not buy any couches from Ashley Furniture on I-10 in Katy. They are liars and every customer service rep that you talk to on the phone will tell you something but then the next one changes the story. I bought a couch and loveseat and they were delivered damaged. They redelivered them a second time and they were damaged. The third delivery was also damaged and the delivery guys tore the bottom off the loveseat then asked if I had a stapler they could borrow to fix it with. The first couch was left at my house because the customer service rep told me to keep it until they delivered the new one, but now they are saying since I kept it, they will not take it back or give me my money back. I've already taken days off from work 3 times to sit and wait for the deliveries and now they are going to deliver a 4th couch next week and will pick up the first damaged one. I have been talking to them for the last month and told them I wanted to cancel the whole order and was told that was fine, but now I'm being told they won't cancel it and I'm stuck with it. The lady today named DOMINIQUE who claimed to be the supervisor, was rude and told me it's mine to keep and there was no way they would refund me my money. She said if the next couch is damaged then they will give me a store credit but no refund. I've already bought a new living room set from a different company and it will be delivered tomorrow so I don't need the furniture from Ashley. Please be careful before buying from them. (see the picture). They want me to keep furniture that has staples sticking out with edges that aren't sewn down and pieces of material scraped off the back. When I told the customer service manager named Dominique that I bought this furniture new, not used, so I expected it to be in good condition, then she said "I'm sorry you feel that way but we cannot take the couch back because you let the delivery men bring it into your house". I told her the delivery guy said they would pick it up when they delivered the new one and she said "they don't work for us. If I could give negative stars i would. We ordered our things in May and we have still not received all the peices. Every time they schedule a delivery they call the morning of to cancel. It's been lie after lie. They even claimed they were getting peices sent in from San Antonio but of course we did not ever get those peices. They tell you what you want to hear but the "delivery date" means nothing. Not to mention the horrible customer service we received when calling there customer service help line. Constantly over talking the customer and plenty of attitude. My fiancé and I returned for the second time to purchase a coffee table. After two trips and over an hour in the store the sales rep and manager decided to tell us we had to buy the whole set. Over the years we have made multiple purchases from Ashely and bought their protection plan on some furniture. If a claim is not reported on the plan within 5 years, Ashley will issue store credit for the amount paid for the plan. It has been a little over 5 years since we bought the plan and were in need of a new bedroom set on a Sunday. The sales rep advised us the credit could not be applied that day because the customer service center is closed on Sunday. She said if we paid in full that day they would add the credit on Monday. We verified no further action was needed on our part. Furniture was delivered and we checked our credit card to see if we received the credit back as promised, and there was not credit. We called the customer service representative and she said because the furniture was delivered they could not apply the credit anymore. So basically because we trusted the store to do as they were promised we could not claim our credit. But they did assure us that we could use it on future purchases. On the plus side the customer service representative agreed I was right and that the store did not do what they promised. But they are not offering any real recourse. I will not do business with a dishonest store, so the the credit will go unused. As an update, the store quickly stepped up and resolved the situation after the customer service center said nothing could be done. Thank you for promptly addressing! read more

Spent 4 hours at the store buying a bed and a mattress + box spring because my salesperson didn't know what he was doing. Every question I had for him was answered with "let me ask someone." After signing everything and FINALLY leaving the store, my salesperson called me because he had only charged me for 1 box spring instead of 2. I had to drive back up there and pay for the 2nd box spring. During that whole process, NO ONE explained to me that I could not return any of the items purchased. I spent over 4000$ and no one informed me that the sale was final. I called to return my item 10 minutes after they dropped it off but was told I can not return it so now I am stuck with a bed I don't like and my salesperson refused to let me speak with a manager. I been an Ashley customer for years. Furnishing my 3rd house and spent 7k on furniture which is the biggest mistake of mine going with them. When I purchased my furniture the sales person stated it would be 4-5 weeks before delivery. 2 weeks later they informed me it would take 9 weeks then 19 weeks which is unacceptable. When I showed up and complained they assure me I would get it within agreed date. When I finally received the furniture. My bed frame was missing screws and legs which they couldn't assemble. My child's bed frame was damaged which I returned. This company has fallen from what it used to be and I highly recommend that you don't shop here. I am not a typical reviews fan, I think, it's my second time, but I feel the need of warning people about the Ashley HomeStore located in 19660 Restaurant Row, Houston, TX 77084. What a headache, I have lived. At the end of September 2021, I bought a living room set (sofa, loveseat, coffee table, side tables and a rug), a salesman called Sergio Gamez, while I was looking around what I wanted to buy, told me the furniture would be delivered in about the 6-8 weeks after all paperwork was done he change and said 8-10 weeks, I told him, you said at the beginning about 6-8 weeks and after my signature you are telling me 8-10 weeks. Ok, I accepted. Mid October 2021, I got a partial delivery: just the Sofa & Coffee Table, so I called the dispatch center to ask about the rest of the pieces and I got the info that the rest would be on the mid of Jan-2022 and the rest at end of february-2022, I got mad, I called the Sergio Gamez immediately and he kept the 8-10 weeks of delivery time, and told me the info I got was a mistake from the dispatch center, that they have been calling to dispatch center to stop giving those dates to customers, because they had been creating confusion to clients. On Sunday (10.31.21), I got a phone call to schedule a loveseat delivery on 11.02.21 and the time window was 10:15 am to 1:15 pm, I confirmed the schedule, I took 3 hours from my job to wait for the delivery and you know what, delivery was not done, tired of waiting, I called dispatching center , because, no message, no phone calls to advise me that the delivery wouldn't be done, the answer I received (after 30 minutes wait) was the delivery was cancelled because loveseat was damaged, and the new delivery time for the loveseat would be 18-Jan-22 and the rest will at the end of February-2022. I called Sergio immediately to complain about the situation and he was agree to meet in the store the next day at 10 am to check what happened. So on Wednesday 11.03.21 when I got the store and asked for him, another salesman, told me that Sergio wouldn't be at the store because it was his free day, I got mad, so I called him again and after the 3rd phone call, he finally responded and confirmed it was his free day and he didn't remember that (??) I had to return to the store at 11 am (the new time he gave me), when I met him in the store, he was kind of sarcastic and asked me why I couldn't believe that the loveseat was damaged? That those things happen". Why kind of service is that? Based on the whole situation and Sergio Gamez attitude, I requested to him to cancel the rest of the order and I wanted a cancel confirmation note, and he said he couldn't provide that to me because he didn't have the way to do that, that I had to wait for 6 business days to get the confirmation, I insisted with my request so he gave me a customer service phone number 1-877-314-8457 to confirm the cancellation after 6 business days. I started to check the reviews about that store and I saw answers from an account called business owner with an email account: feedback@dsghome.com , I Sent an email to that account explained the situation and my firm decision to cancel the rest of the order, the person who took care of my case told me, there was not any note about the damage of the loveseat in the system and worst, there was not any cancellation note about the rest of the order, fortunately that person moved ahead and created a cancellation request to the store and provided me a request cancellation number. Ashley Homestore, I will give an advice, even you are not asking for, you have to review the practices of some of your stores or some people working for you, it is causing damage of the image of the whole corporation just because of few people, which obviously, don't know anything about customer service. read more

Than we had a delivery issue when they gave us 4 different times to drop it off. The only good thing the delivery guy worked with me and came back. After getting the furniture we got a broken piece and on top of it we got the wrong dresser. After calling customer service 5 times they didn't seem to care or help us in anyway. Couldn't even deliver a couch correctly. We bought a two piece sectional and they delivered only one part which was wrong. We gave them a chance to correct it .On the next delivery only half our couch showed up again! This was a two month waste of time! No communication, delivery system sucks, customer service sucked. Long story short... we did a full refund ,they lost a 1,400 sale and we will never do business with Ashley furniture again. Update: Filed a complaint with BBB because now they are dragging ass on refunding our Ashley home furniture card through TD bank. We did a full return. We've been in the market for a sectional the last two weeks. We live 40ish minutes from this store but have had luck in the past. After visiting another Ashley location and having a bad experience we decided to make the drive and come here. Once again had an AMAZING experience! We were first met by Demarcus who answered all the questions I had lingering from the bad visit, and showed us exactly what we wanted. He went to check on financing and told the GM Terry about our bad experience. He came over apologized for the bad manners at the last store and made sure we were pleased with Demarcus and the experience we were having so far. We will be loyal Katy customers from here on out! Furniture quality and price is better than rooms 2 go. But service and delivery system is their issue Delivery of sofa took 5-6weeks due to their booked up schedule. And their planned schedule changes without notice. Breakfast table came in as defect with circular bubbles on top. I called and ashley rep came to take picture and reported. They said they cant replace the defect and i should call extended warranty company montaz. Montaz said they can't fix because the report date is over 14 days. Ive been calling every other day for 2-3 weeks for them to pick up the phone. If i asked ashley to send rep again for new report they will charge for it. They later replaced the top plate of the table. Overall it is decent if you dont need furniture quickly. read more

I went in last sunday looking for a dining table for my house. I provided two phone numbers for confirmation to have it delivered for yesterday. The day before yesterday they sent a confirmation text that asked me to either A) reply with a yes B) click on the link provided to confirm or C) call them. I did the first two and i waited for the delivery even an hour after the expected time. I called customer service twice. The first time they informed me that they didn't deliver it because my order was cancelled since "i didn't call to confirm" and rescheduled my delivery to the 19th without my consent. The second time this lady said that the confirmations didn't go in the system and I didn't have to call to confirm which is the complete opposite of what the first person said. I asked for a refund on my $200 delivery fee which they still haven't given me !!! I asked if I could come pick it up since no one could deliver it and they said no since they didn't have it in stock and it was in the delivery truck. If it's in the delivery truck why can't they deliver it then? Well after a while of arguing back and forth I come today to pick up my dining table and take it home. Once i assemble it , I find that THE LEGS ARE MISSING. How on Earth does that happen? Well I go back to the store to see what they can do about the legs and they "can't do anything to help" and I have guests over tomorrow so you can imagine my frustration knowing that my guests are going to find an empty dining room. If I could give this store zero stars I would! Absolutely terrible customer service. I went in before Black Friday and purchased a bedroom set and the sales associate helping me was rude, nonchalant & uninviting. I was initially told that I would receive my order, delivered to my house on December 23rd. That never happened. No one has called to follow up with me and had I not called the store prior to December 23rd I would not have heard from them. Since then I have had several other "delivery" dates where yet again I had to reach out to the store to get them. I have gotten the run around for almost 2 months now and I have yet to receive my items. Every time I call to inquire about my delivery I'm told that they are either waiting on another piece to arrive - which is complete bullshit because I was told all pieces had arrived January 6th - or that the distribution center pushed the delivery back. Not once has anyone from the store reached out to me about my items and I specifically went to the store and was given the run around once again and was told my items would be delivered mid- January. I then called the customer service center and I was told January 12th or January 14th. Well surprise, it's January 12th and I STILL DON'T HAVE MY FURNITURE NOR HAS ANYONE REACHED OUT TO ME ABOUT POSSIBLY DELIVERING IT ON THE 14th! Bought a table/chairs and a bed the Monday before Thanksgiving. Delivery for the table/chairs was set for Sat. Dec. 3rd. The table and 2 of 6 chairs show up. We were told someone should have called to explain the other 4 chairs weren't in yet. Delivery of the other 4 was scheduled for the following Sat. No call or explanation, the chairs didn't arrive (after sitting and waiting the 3 hour time frame). When we called, we were told they were rescheduled for Tuesday, with no explanation. Given that we work week days, that did not work. Skipping ahead, we our now on our 5th try to have our furniture delivered. And we are told customer service is completely separate from delivery, and both are completely separate from the store. DO. NOT. WASTE. YOUR time and money. There are too many options out there!! Update 1/3/2016: After posting the review, Ashley contacted us to help fix the situation. The rest of our chairs were delivered and our bed was also delivered on the promised date. First off I want to say that I went in a month before I needed my furniture delivered, I also want to note that I bought a mattress, bed frame, couch, and a set of tables well over $2,000 worth of furniture from this store. And THE SALES PERSON ordered the wrong bed (kisper platform bed vs kisper panel bed) so the bed that got delivered requires a box spring and the bed I was supposed to get DOES NOT require a box spring.. they tell me to keep this bed while they try to sort out the correct new bed, which should've never happened because now my BRAND NEW mattress is being absolutely RUINED because of a mistake that the sales person made. Meanwhile I get the run around from the actual store manager... THEY WERE OF NO HELP! now finally I get the correct bed delivered and guess what?? THE HEAD BOARD is broken in the box. So now after 3 weeks of waiting and paying for something that I don't have and that's ruining my BRAND new mattress I still don't have the correct bedroom furniture. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ASHLEY HOMESTORE AS A WHOLE IS SO HORRIBLE. DO NOT SHOP HERE!! We tried to exchanged them, however, customer service not helpful at all! They asked us to send them pictures of damaged furniture, so we did. We haven't heard from them and it's been a week! I was moving with my wife from Humble to Katy, we went in to the Ashley Homestore in Humble on 12/30/19. Upon completion of the order they said that the soonest delivery date for all pieces would be on 2/8/2020. Perfect, we were due to move in to our place on 1/26/2020. two days prior to the set delivery, the customer service reps called to tell us that they could not deliver two items. Ok it is what it is, I said. So the soonest date the could get the rest of our couch and the coffee table our would be 2/14, which wasn't acceptable due to the fact we were out of town. The pieces we did receive were put together with crooked couch/table legs and stripped bolts on an accent couch that was ordered. Long story short, after numerous attempts on my part to have Ashley rectify the issue of the shotty furniture that was delivered, on top of delivering the remaining missing pieces has taken. I took three months to get my complete order delivered. Being said, now I have to contact "customer non-service" to tell them I need them to come fix the items that are beginning to fall apart. DO NOT BUY from Ashley Homestores because you will be sadly disappointed and frustrated to no end to get customer service to deliver "showroom quality" furniture, in a timely fashion. Buyer beware. This store inflates tax line on your invoice by multiplying by 1.0825 instead of .0825. There fore they are charging you an additional $100 on the tax line which also says tax and fees. If you try to ask them about this they try to prove the math. Do not trust the invoice till you double check. Had a very bad experience and walked out. There are no fees they explained to us. We ordered our furniture in may, received one part of a 3-part sectional and nothing else (we purchased much more). We keep getting told different dates by email, text, and calls. They actually told me when I called that it's ON ME to keep calling and making sure they do their job of scheduling the furniture to come to my house. At one point they said the furniture was coming in a specific 3-hour window; I rearranged my entire day to be home and they never showed up. I got no accommodation other than a "oh yeah... that wasn't supposed to happen." I keep getting false texts. With dates that are not open. And the icing on the cake is that they billed us for furniture we haven't received and even tacked On a late fee for a charge we were unaware of (no notification and obviously we weren't checking bc we haven't received any piece yet). Every person I have talked to (and there have been so many I can't count) does not care and has no stake in the outcome, so we are stuck in an endless cycle of calling, and then racking on three months, calling again in 3 months and them tacking on more time. I do not do reviews like this because I think it has more bad things on it than the good things businesses do and it comes off as a incorrect reflection of how happy the customers actually are, but I wish I would have known this much. BG, My wife left a Yelp review that you responded to. I am the purchaser and would like to give my two cents on why I will likely NEVER purchase anything from your store or organization ever again. My wife and I were excited to replace the living room furniture we purchased from Ashely back in 2013. We went into the store on Saturday, June 6th and found a couch/love seat as well as a coffee table, tv stand and end table we really liked. At the time of purchase, we were advised there was a delay in the furniture due to COVID-19. We understood and asked when the furniture would be delivered. The sales guy (Sergio) and the General Manager gave us dates of June 24th for the tables and NLT July 18th for the couch and love seat. This was important information to have as we were giving our old living room furniture to our son who recently moved into his new place in Stillwater, Oklahoma and we would be hauling it up for him on the 11th of July. As noted above, the tables were to arrive on June 24th. I called on June 23rd as I had not heard anything about a delivery time and after being on hold for over 40 minutes, I was advised the tables were not yet in stock and they would be delivered on July 1st and was offered a whopping $50 store credit. I was notified on June 30th that the tables would be delivered on the 1st, then shortly after was advised that only the end table and coffee table would be delivered via text message. I called and waited on hold for another 35 minutes where the customer service rep told me that all of the tables were loaded onto the truck and that they would be delivered as promised - and the couch and love seat would be delivered on July 8th. I called the store to understand what was going on and they advised that the tv stand would not be delivered. Shortly after that conversation, I stopped by the store when I received a text message that my couch and lover seat in fact would not be delivered until after August 8th. I also received a voicemail that the tables would be delayed until July 2nd. I gave Dominique a deadline of 6:00 pm to call me back and advise what Ashley furniture was going to do to keep my business. She emailed me at 6:42 pm stating that the couch and loveseat would not be delivered until after August 8th and that was a best case scenario and offered me 10% off my order. My wife and I needed new furniture so we went to Gallery furniture and purchased a very nice reclining sectional and could have had it delivered that evening but chose to have it delivered on Friday. The end table and cocktail table arrived on the 2nd and my wife and I put them together. When the sectional was delivered, we found that the tables did not match what we purchased so I called Dominique back and she advised we were out of luck because Ashley had a "no return" policy. I told her that was ridiculous and we were forced to purchase furniture elsewhere due to the store not being honest with my wife and I on the delivery date. I called corporate customer service back and waited for another 40 minutes and spoke to a representative that stated because the furniture had been delivered less than 24 hours prior, they would schedule a pickup for the furniture the following week but I would have to pay a 10% restocking fee. Reluctantly I agreed because I didn't want, or need, the tables that had been delivered. I went to the store on Sunday, July 5th requesting that EVERYTHING be cancelled and returned and was told once again I couldn't return the tables and it would take up to 120 days to be refunded the cash I paid at the time of purchase. I spoke with the GM again (and warned all of the customers who came to check out) of the bad service I had received and it would take up to 3 months to get their furniture. Some customers left the store without purchasing furniture. I waited until Tuesday, July 7th and did not hear anything on picking up the tables. I called the corporate customer service number and after 15 minutes on hold, was automatically disconnected. I called back a second time and the same thing happened after 15 minutes. The third time I called I waited 14 minutes then was forced to leave a voicemail where my call would be returned within 48 hours. Today is now the 14th of July, I have yet to have a time scheduled to pick up the tables, have not had my call returned and even sent two emails to the corporate customer service email address - and have not had even an email returned. I still have the tables in my living room and want them gone ASAP. This has been the WORST customer service experience of my life and wonder how you guys are still in business. I am willing to take the tables back to the store but refuse to pay any restocking fees at all. I will be copying this email and putting it on Yelp, Google and any other site I can find to warn customers of what they are getting into if they continue to listen to the lies your store reps tell them. read more

I need to get a hold of the District Manager for the the Restaurant Row location due to a problem on a return where the location itself is not providing feedback. I have called and messaged many times which has taken hours and hours of time to get absolutely NO WHERE. Please can someone help me. Long story short I purchased a sofa and loveseat. Only the loveseat was delivered only to later find out the sofa was not available until a unknown time due to COVID-19. I would not have purchased and paid cash for both of the items if I had known that. I went into the store to try and work it out and was able to get a refund for the sofa, but was told the loveseat needed manager approval for the return since the delivery people left it at our house. The manager NEVER called back. Customer Service and the store are not on the same page with my account details and I can't even get anyone in the store to answer the phone under Option 3. I am so disappointed that such a well known furniture store would be so very bad, it is shocking. At the end of the day, I want the loveseat picked up from my house and get a full refund which is what I said the day of the delivery which has been almost 2 weeks now. Please buyer beware! *****DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT ASHLEY FURNITURE!***** EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We purchased a sectional sofa with power recliners and the extended warranty from Ashley Home Furniture in Katy TX on 7/5/2010 we spent approximately $2,700 total. By March of 2014 the sofa is peeling and looks horrible and one of the power recliners is stuck in a reclining position. So, I called Montage the extended warranty company, only to be told none of my problems with the sofa were covered. So I called Ashley customer service and was told my sofa was no longer under manufacturer warranty, but as a courtesy they would send me a replacement motor within 6 weeks. I was also informed that I would have to pay the labor charge to have the motor replaced. So, now it's May 8, 2014 and I still have not received the motor. I called again today and was told there was no notation in their system that a replacement motor was to be sent and it would take another 2 to 4 weeks for me to receive the part. I supposedly spoke to a manager named Kanita today, who never once apologized for the problems I've had or made any effort to expedite the shipment of the motor. We went about a week ago to buy a bed set and a mattress, and me and my husband were approved each different lenders and different terms. We come back yesterday to do the deal under my husband name with what he got approved and they conveniently deleted what he got approved or magically couldn't happen to find his approval because I got approved for more and they wanted to sell to me. Anyways after a while because they kept saying they couldn't find his approval and if he applied again they would deny him. So we were going to ignore that and just buy under my name, but as we were processing my husband asked a question and the sales person who was a short with black hair female was triggered and started being rude while processing sale to my husband and saying we were wasting their time. Meanwhile we wanted to make the purchase and continuously continued making rude comments till we decided we wouldn't do anything and started to walk out she kept being disgusting as we were walking out which triggered my husband as we both work retail and we know not to treat customers that way and he responded to her with a few choice words, she told us to get out her store as if she owned the store. Don't bother buying from this branch! Their customer service is piss-poor, to put it mildly. Arrived last Saturday afternoon to look for a lift-top coffee table for our 5th wheel camper. We forgot to bring the measurements of our small living room area, so our salesman Wallie lent us a measuring tape to take measurements of coffee tables we were interested in. We took pictures of the salestickets so we knew which options we had. I took our salesman's cellphone number and texted him so he also knew what we were interested in. We asked when the table could be delivered and was told, by the end of the week and he entered our information into their system. I asked that we be called prior to delivery because we were having our RV being fixed just down the road, but would be moving as soon as the repair was complete, so we were unsure what address we would be at for the delivery. Our salesman promised (PROMISED) we would be called 48 hours (2 days) before our delivery to double check the address of delivery and set a time for delivery. We went back to the camper, took our measurements, and called him back - ordered the coffee table of choice. He was having problems understanding the address I told him we might be at if our repairs were complete. He called us back after emailing us the invoice so we could pay online. We were again promised a call 48 hours before delivery. Fast forward to today (Friday following our purchase, 7 days later), I got a call from the delivery company, notifying me that they were at the RV Resort office, but they said we weren't registered there. No... We were still camped out at the repair shop because our repairs were taking longer than expected. I questioned them about my 48 hour predelivery call. The woman notified me that they were a 3rd party delivery company and had nothing to do with a precall. I told her that we were not there and that they would need to delivery at the repair shop 30 minutes away. Half an hour later I got a call from Wallie. He gave me an excuse that he couldn't call me 48 hours before the delivery because he didn't have my phone number correct. How was he calling me now? How had the delivery company call me? And what about our texts between each other? He promptly hung up on me. I was too upset to call back in a calm matter, so I waited for him to call me back... Over 20 minutes later. He gave the excuse of having my number wrong and that I had given him the address to ship to. I reminded him of our conversation on Saturday about our 5th wheel being repaired and being unsure of where we would be at the end of the week. I also reminded him of his 48 hour call promise and that I would verify what address our camper would be at. He stated that they could not change an address once it was put on the system. And that our coffee table couldn't be delivered until sometime next week. At that point, I notified him that I no longer wanted to talk to him, that he needed to talk to his manager, and have the manager call me with a resolution of our furniture delivery. With no call for over 3.5 hours, I stopped working and drove an hour to the furniture store to get answers. I found our salesman, Wallie, hadn't done anything - he hadn't even told the manager of the issue. Because he hadn't done anything during regular office hours, our coffee table couldn't even be delivered today. Our choices: 1) Pickup the furniture 40 minutes away on our own dime sometime next week (Memorial Day closing things down), or 2) Wait until next Friday to have it delivered to us. No call by the manager to the warehouse to see what could be done to get it to us sooner, just the two options. My option - give me my money back, I'll buy it from another branch or another company. I wouldn't want this branch to have any of my money! So, no coffee table, a lot of headache, and a company I wouldn't send anyone to. I have purchased a couple of furniture items from other Ashley furniture store. Me experience with this particular store is the worst I have ever had after purchasing an item from any business in my lifetime. Run away from this store as far as you can. I purchased a TV console, a coffee table and a dining set. The dining set has not been delivered. We called to cancel. The financing company is charging us for all the items including the dining set which was never delivered. I have called the store several times to remove the charge for the dining set, but it is never happening. If you plan to buy an item from Ashley furniture, please go to another store. read more
