My husband and I purchased a $1,500 mattress from Ashley Furniture and were told at the time of sale that we had a 90-day return window. After about one month of use, we began experiencing significant back pain and stopped using the mattress. It is still in like-new condition. We contacted the store within the 90-day period to initiate a return and were denied because the mattress protector we used was not purchased directly from Ashley. We were never informed that the return policy required purchasing an Ashley-branded mattress protector. We did use a mattress protector -- it was simply purchased elsewhere. This requirement was never disclosed at the time of purchase, and had it been clearly communicated, we would have reconsidered buying the mattress altogether. Spending $1,500 on a mattress and being denied a return over a brand technicality -- especially when the mattress is still in new condition and the request was made within the stated return window -- feels extremely misleading and unfair. Have purchased several items from Ashley Furniture over the years. Just had the worst experience ever. Walked into this location while stopping to charge my Tesla right out front. I asked where the restroom was located. After using the restroom while waiting for my fiancé to come out of the restroom, I was approached by the store manager who informed me that we needed to leave the store since we were not planning to buy anything since the sales person who works on commission couldn't make money from us. Few if any customers in the store and we were just kicked out for telling the sales guy we were just looking while we charge our car. That's insane!!! I went to Ashley Home Store a few weeks ago to check out some sectionals. The selections were decent with some nice contemporary options. The store is very spacious and organized. It's easy to navigate to different layout schemes. When I came into the store, I was greeted by a very nice sales associate. Her name was Alina who was very helpful. I showed her a sectional that I was interested. She was able to give me a quote of the sectional customized. After we purchased the sofa and loveseat, both equipment with USB ports and phone charging capabilities. Shortly after purchase, I received an email for what I thought was a power booster. It's not! I honestly do hate giving this store only 2 stars, but I'm doing it because of the sales people. The employees here are just way too pushy for my liking and they always follow us around. Saying to them, "We're just looking" means nada. Like what are we gonna do, pick up a sofa and walk out the door with it? Although I have experienced delays in several of the items in my order placed in May, the one thing that has never wavered is the service provided by my sales associate, Logan Seal. Logan has been very responsive, respectful, and is a hard-working young man that has always followed up on my inquiries. He has gone out of his way to provide me with a loaner mattress and boxspring and personally came to my home with a trainer to set up my Sleep Tracker. I dread going in stores like these. All the salespeople hang out by the entrance and immediately jump on customers when they walk in the door. This business model should have gone out in the 1950's but here we are. It's uncomfortable for customers and it's degrading for the staff. It's furniture, it's not rocket science. I would be buying it online only for the fact that I want to feel the fabric. As a store, I found the furniture to be gaudy and tacky. After numerous phone call and long waiting times I was told delivery is delayed to October 25. October 24 comes around still no news about delivery. Ashley makes some pretty decent stuff and honestly if you look around at a lot of hole in the wall furniture stores or even mom and pop furniture shops you will notice that they carry all different type of 'Ashley Furniture'. My gripe with this store is the sales person oversold and under delivered. Let's break it down. My wife and I purchased over $4,000 worth of furniture from this location. Also, over $1,000 on a warranty that would cover basically everything. This qualified us for a promotion which 'saved' us some money. We were pretty specific on when we needed the furniture delivered since we had a housewarming party planned. Fast forward to the day of the housewarming party and all we had was the dining table and the bed frame. Everything else was delayed which looking at all the other reviews seems pretty common. So no chairs, sofa, love-seat, coffee table, recliner.... I think that pretty much covers it. Let's fast forward a little more. My wife spilled some nail polisher on the coffee table so I called the number that's listed on the warranty booklet to see what our options are. Guess what? That's not covered. Our sales person literally said if you had a pocket knife and you sat down on the sofa and it creates a tear in the fabric that it would be covered. Guess the concept was a little different but I was still surprise that they would not cover the nail polish. The good news that was provided to me while talking to the rep was that if I did not use my warranty, it will rollover to the next purchase I make from Ashley Furniture. Always had a great experience at Ashley. Until now. My husband and I bought a new house in mid May. We ordered a lot of new furniture. Most of it from Ashley. We requested a power reclining loveseat, power reclining sofa and manual rocker recliner. We received a partial shipment of the loveseat. It is a manually operating loveseat. I questioned it. Ashley told me that when we placed the order, even though we made it crystal clear to our salesperson that we wanted a power loveseat, she ordered a manual. The sofa, when we get it, will also be manual. She gave us a verification form for us to sign. We signed it not reading it completely (our bad), as we had an extensive conversation with our salesperson and trusted her to order the correct items. Ashley tells us now that if we want the power option, we can certainly have it, it's just going to cost us the difference in price. My belief is that being that 50% of the problem lies with us and 50% of the problem lies with Ashley, we should then split the cost. We would be willing to do that. Not Ashley. Doesn't matter that 50% of the problem lies with them. According to them, protocol deems that the entire cost of any price difference lies with us. Ashley Corporate proceeded to tell me that I didn't understand how a retail store worked and that they probably gave me a discounted price. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. Either way, I didn't ask for any discounts and whatever price they choose to charge is not my problem. As I said, we just moved and ordered a lot of new furniture. You can get a better deal by going to Ashley's first, write down the furniture number (off of the tag) and price, and then taking it to the Navy Exchange. If they don't have it on their floor, they will order it for you. Navy Exchange doesn't charge tax either. Take up the offers given for "No Pmt til 2011" and "same as cash" b/c that is a pretty good deal if you pay it off before the due date when you will be charged interest; but pay it off before the due date with no interest -- that's a great deal! read more

Consumer Warning!!! I would actually give them a negative rating if it were an option. Save your money!!! I bought a sleeper sofa from Ashley Furniture at the Town Center. I paid too much really and I decided to waive the shipping and picked it up from their warehouse. From day one this sofa is the most uncomfortable poorly built piece of furniture I have ever over paid for. The cushions do not fit properly, the front of the sofa is bowed so the cushions fall inside of the frame. I have pleaded with them to honor their manufacturing warranty and repair or replace it, which they say is void because i picked it up. In terms of sales, the experience was very average. Didn't add anything to the experience or take anything away. The sales staff hovered around me the whole time, but I wouldn't say they hammered me with questions to annoy me. The problems started with the delivery service. To give people an idea, I spent just under $1700 on a four piece bed set. My delivery date was scheduled about 15 days after the date we bought it so I anticipated the delivery on the date we scheduled (because I paid $170 for delivery). On the date of the delivery, I called the salesperson three times. On the third time she answered and said she would call me back after she talked to the warehouse. About an hour later, she notified me that I would not be receiving my delivery until later in the week (my delivery was scheduled for a Sunday because I work 9-5 throughout the week). I told the salesperson that I wanted to talk to a manager and something needed to be done in order to remedy this problem because I can't leave work. The salesperson proceeded to tell me that the manager will call me later in the day. I called back twice after not hearing from anyone for three hours and left messages. The manager never called me. Went in this store to apply for a Ashley furniture charge card while I was out of town traveling for business. The first thing out of my mouth was "hi I'm from out of town. I'm only here to apply for credit so that once I am home I can purchase a bedroom set. My wife wanted me to get a line of credit so we could take advantage of the no interest till 2020." Well apparently an Ashely furniture charge card is not good at every location. I did not know this and the sales person made no attempt to tell me this. He simply said oh yes we can help you come over here and fill out a credit app on the computer. So I do, I'm approved, my credit is dinged and then the sales person says well the company your approved with only does no interest for 12 months but we can get you 48 months no interest if you fill out ANOTHER credit app for a diff company. This seemed suspect to me so I go outside and call the local Ashley in my hometown only to be told that my new credit line is no good there... I called the manager of the store I filled the app out in to complain and she simply said oh yeah he wasn't trying to sell you just help you. She apologized for "my misunderstanding". I'm shocked by the lack of integrity and appalling customer service. I was delivered a piece of furniture that had been broken and fixed (with wood fill & paint) before it even left the factory. They sent a replacement table, but that was damaged too...waiting on the third (and hopefully not damaged) table still. Other items were also damaged upon delivery and needed replaced too. The Furniture might look good and the prices are great but after 3 years of owning the Dura-Blend Sofa Recliner and Rocker Reclincer, these items literally look like they are over 20 years old! The sales person got me to buy the $150 protection plan, however this does not apply to poor quality of the Dur-Blend fabric as it does not last at all and the store or the so called protection plan will not replace the crap that I purchased from Ashley Furniture at River City on the northside. Recliner delivered with hidden damage First thing was they promised a certain Wednesday delivery date, but it took till that Saturday to get it. But they worked with me on that. This is about $1300 in a recliner and three LR tables bought at River City store on 10-3-2018. Today, I notice a strange bulge in a corner. The other corner normal. I turn the chair up on its front and find the rear corner is crushed and a brace under the arm (all cheap OSB plywood) is also broken. It isn't an easy fix. They will need to replace the chair. Lesson learned, turn everything you get from them upside down and go over each item with a fine tooth comb. Someone hid the damage by stretching the upholstery tighter and restapling it. I called the store and left a message at 2:15 (this is 11-1-2018). The message says they will call back by end of business today... that's like 8 PM. I also wrote to the company using their "contact us" form, just now. If they take care of me, I will update here and up the stars rating. WW read more
