One of the worth experiences in shopping furniture. This happened during the Covid about two years ago I just never got the chance to write the review. I walked in to buy whole furniture for a house we had yo stage. Picked up everything from dining tables to bed room set. First of all the sales guy did not know how to put the items in, and had a hard time to talk to me it took him 45 min to finish my order. Then I cut him in multiple mistakes, and he got his manager involved. Then the manager said he will take care of me, he started to add everything up and it came out to about 13k. I asked him if he applied all the discounts he said yes and kept on making fun out of me referring to me as you "reach people this and you rich people that" I explained to him I am buying this for a house I need to rent and this is my business. Any way I paid for everything and went home. At night when I had a chance I opened the invoice and recalculated everything, not only I was not given any discount, they sold and over charge me for a bunch of extra staff !!!! I went back the store next day and nicely ask for the manager again. I showed him my calculations and asked him why he sold me bunch of stuff I don't need and the total should be around $10k he immediately got defensive and aggressive and start calling me names and told me to get out of the store. Kept on saying you reach people think you can do anything you want, we gonna take you guys out, you owe us !!!!! One of the employees pulled me aside and said this guy is from Guatemala and has angry issues and she is so sorry. I end up calling LAPD for assistance, right before they show up the same nice lady walked out with a recipe showing they credited back everything. DO NOT SHOP HERE. First off, the sales representative we dealt with was horrible. Mandana was very pushy about adding more than what we wanted to buy. After learning that we had 2 lease approvals, she said "Good. You can use the total sum of both leases to buy lots of furniture. The more you buy, the more commission I make". Completely out of line and unprofessional. Aside from being pushy, she also on more than one occasion talked very poorly about her supervisor after her supervisor had walked away. Made faces behind her back, called her incompetent, etc. After picking out our couch, ottoman, and area rug... Mandana asked us what size our bed was. We weren't there to shop for a mattress, but I answered "Uh, king". She replied that their store was offering this complimentary mattress cover as a thank you to customers purchasing large items. I said "if it's free, we'll take it." After checking out, my husband and I noticed that they discounted some of our furniture pieces. Around $340. However, they ADDED the $300 mattress cover to our lease agreement. I never ever approved of that. I would've turned it away if I was told the truth. This was incredibly schemy and wrong. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and intend on getting all my money back. Have been an Ashley customer through three living rooms, three bedrooms, two dining rooms & too many carpets over the past 8 years, plus countless recommendations converted into new clients. The 48-60 month no interest terms made it convenient to just set your monthly payment and not have to manage it. Then I realized that my purchase a year ago was not under those terms (though that is what we had discussed) and instead was on a 12 month promotional term with the $855 interest deferred if I don't pay that full balance in 12 months. Just slip that in there with my existing loans, hope I don't notice and you "WIN" $855 of my money plus interest fees. What you hoped is that I either missed this, or do not have the means to pay the $2000 by next week.. but alas, I did notice, and I do have the means to pay it, so you "LOSE" twice.... you will not get the interest in the short term and you will not see another penny from me, and I hope anyone who reads this. Poor organization and management. I purchased a light fixture in late September for a mid October delivery date. I hear nothing from the store, and the delivery date comes and goes with no delivery nor communication from the store. I wait 2 weeks to give them the befit of the doubt, thinking maybe shipping was backlogged during Covid. At 2 weeks overdue, I start calling the store, repeatedly. Not once is my call picked up, and there's no way to leave a message. Fed up at the terrible communication, I finally visit the store with my boyfriend to at least get a refund. After getting to the store, the manager tells us the light was not in stock. Basically, the store took our money, then kept silent when there was zero intention to follow through on delivering the goods and services contracted for. To make matters worse, the manager tells us the person who processes refunds is "not there that day" and that he would have corporate contact us to process the refund. He said the process would take a week. Two weeks later, not a single peep from the store. At this point, I'm fed up, call my bank to make a claim, and leave the rest to my bank. The conduct of this store borders on fraudulent and left a horrible aftertaste. Ashley's warranty is useless. I purchased the 5 year extended warranty. It's not cheap. My sofa needed service but I found out yesterday that you have to report a problem within 30 days. So really a 5 year warranty is only 30 days. The representative of Ashley was insensitive and rude and so was their warranty affiliate. Ordered a couch and rug in-store on Nov 25 for delivery on Dec 9 and received multiple texts yesterday and today confirming that my order was going to be delivered within the delivery window as scheduled. I even started tracking my delivery on the website and was told I would be the 6th delivery. When I checked a few minutes ago, my status went from "out for delivery" to "unable to start" by the time it was at the 5th stop. No other explanation given. When I called, I discovered that nothing was being delivered because they didn't have the couch. When I asked about the rug, I was told it was no longer available. I'm currently on hold trying to talk to someone after the person who was supposed to transfer me sent me to the "what is the likelihood you'll recommend Ashley to friends..." I've still not received a call/email from the store alerting me to this issues. I was told by the person I called the first time that the next available delivery is Dec 27th away but didn't say anything about the rug I also ordered, and told me to call 2 days before to confirm my delivery (you know, Christmas Day) with no guarantee that I wouldn't face the EXACT same issue I'm dealing with today! read more

thankfully I was careful in my search for furniture so I walked in Ashley's three times before getting serious as I do in all stores. Every time I would walk in the store in Huntington Beach, ca it was the same invasiveness every time I walked in the door. I third time I walked up to the person standing in the front desk and explain I want to look around by myself. I know what I'm looking for and if I have any questions I will come and ask at the end of looking. OK? Sure , no problem. Every time they follow and hover just steps behind at every turn so I started to play a game and walked fast through all the turns and steps. It was really fun but after 3 times in that store I knew I would never buy any furniture from them. Plus you can not pick the fabric you want so even if you like the couch you have to buy it in the color and fabric of their choice. They need a new CEO because every other furniture store will sit down with you at the couch of your choice and pick a fabric that you pick, not them. Employee Even kuykedall mislead me when buying a sectional couch. It comes in a few pieces so it wasn't very clear on which piece was which when looking at the receipt. During our conversation it was clear what I had purchased. Long story short a couple days the later the couch shows up without the "love seat" portion. I return to the store the following day to see what the mistake was and Even was rude when I confronted him with his body language and tone of voice. Very off putting and unprofessional. I mentioned he should have a manager deal with this as he doesn't know how to have critical conversations with customers. They don't allow you to return couches once delivered so I put in a situation where I had to buy the other piece and I have a horrible taste about this place now. They played me! This review is not about Ashley Furniture as much as it is about the PROTECT ALL GBS ENTERPRISES FURNITURE PROTECTION THAT THEY PUSH/SELL. I bought a sectional sofa that came with a chaise that had a large storage area. The sales person told me about the 5-year warranty that would be great since it would cover just about anything that happens to the sofa. I figured since I had a new dog that is nervous, it would be helpful to get my sofa cleaned whenever the dog made a mistake on the sofa. Now, I love the sofa! It's very comfortable, and it comes with a great storage space, and it pulls out to something like a bed. I had no idea that the WARRANTY I PAID $150 for would be USELESS!!! One of the wheels came off of the moving part of the sofa and after opening and closing the storage area, the arm of the chaise opened at the seam. I thought, Oh! I'll just put in a claim. Well, the first problem was the website where I tried to make my claim, wouldn't accept my photos after 10 tries. So, I called and after speaking with Julio for quite some time, he finally finished inputing my claim. I told him it wasn't the inputing of the claim that was the problem, it was uploading the photos. He said that where I was trying to upload the photos was a different site that I would upload them after he took the claim. Well Julio was just talking out of the side of his mouth, because it was the SAME site and AGAIN, I couldn't upload the photos. Julio refused to stay on the phone with me while I tried over and over to upload the photos and he recommended that I try using an older cell phone to take my photos with because it would have the photo type that would allow me to upload. How ridiculous! Anyway, Since I could see that he was impatient, I got off the phone, asked my son to help me make sure the images were the right size (less than 5 MB) and then we tried to re-upload again. Well, my photos had already been the correct size, but for whatever reason, the website wouldn't take the photos. Then, the site said the link expired for uploading. I spent a good 2 hours dealing with this. So, I figure, okay, tomorrow I'll call and get the photos uploaded. I just called and spoke with Hector, and he gave me an email address to send the photos to, and once he received them he told me the claim wasn't covered because the seams came apart. DUH!!!! Exactly! So, after 2 1/2 hours of wasted time, I discover that I was ripped off by Ashley Home Store and Protect All/GBS Enterprises. Oh! That's not all. I had also tried to put in a claim for the wheel that came off and Julio told me that wasn't covered either. BOTTOM LINE - DON'T BUY THE WARRANTY BECAUSE IT DOESN'T COVER MUCH! DON'T LET THE SALES PEOPLE TRICK YOU INTO THINKING EVERYTHING IS COVERED! read more

WORST Experience Ever! DONT Make Any Purchase in this Store! I honestly DONT have a star to give to this store. The manager Frankie and Michelle and another person at their reception were "VERY RUDE" and "UNPROFESSIONAL." I went to this "Ashley Furniture" in Venice and made a purchase for a "Dinning Set." It was set to be delivered to my place, so I took a "day -off" so that I can be there when they set-up and deliver. On the day of delivery, I was up and waiting. Then, I checked on my phone and "skipped" my apartment. I called and checked, they said that the "delivery came" to my apartment and "waited for 15 minutes. It was a TOTAL LIE because I was home and was eagerly waiting. I even answered their text, to follow up what time they were coming because I was waiting the whole time. I was furious that I called the "Ashley Furniture" in Venice. To my dismay, the reception said that they came and no one was home. So, the delivery cannot come back to go to my place. I had to re-schedule for delivery. I told the reception that if they cannot deliver that day, I will "cancel" the order. The reception said that I need to "go to the store physically" in order to cancel my order, I cannot do it over the phone. Also, when I called the store to talk to the manager, they put me on "HOLD" for a long period of time. They told me that when the manager is available, he will call me back. They DONT want to give the name of the manager, as well as the person that I was speaking to. This store, after you made a purchase, they DONT CARE about the customer. They DONT HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE at all!! I have read at the purchase order that if I would like to "cancel" my order I can call the store. But since, they were telling me to go to the store to cancel ---- I did! And I was totally frustrated when I met the manager, finally, his name was Frankie. told me that they "cannot cancel" my order that day because my order is still in transit. So what is the purpose of the manager, if he cannot resolve issues, especially when they made me come physically to the store (even though I don't need too) and wasted my time. I asked Frankie, the manager, if he could "write down" on the business card that he will cancel the reservation. He said arrogantly that he will not write it down. He also said that he will not return the charge on my credit card on the "taxes and delivery charge." He said it is non-refundable. I had to inform him that I will contest the charge anyway because the "items were NOT delivered to me." I became so "very angry" with all of these "highly rude" and "highly unprofessional" behavior and treatment from the employees of this store. We demanded for them to "cancel" the reservation. The receptionists "Michelle" and other receptionist, were "shouting back" at me and my sister, ----very rude and arguing with us, and we are the customers!!! Then, the receptionists and the manager Frankie, even THREATENED to call "Security" on us. So ridiculous!!! The next day, I called and put on HOLD again for a long time. They finally cancelled my order and they have informed me that they will return the charge back to my credit card for the taxes and delivery. Even though, they have done these corrections, I still am VERY UPSET . They handled the situation VERY POORLY. The manager, as well as the employees need a lot of training on customer service and handling situations in the store. I will NEVER RECOMMEND this "Ashley Store" in Venice. My mom and I came here searching for a bed and Fatima was extremely kind and intuitive in knowing we wanted some space to explore, yet was there when we needed to ask questions and chat. Very sweet, helpful sales rep. We had a question and wanted to speak to the manager but the manager got mad at Fatima (in front of us) for not taking care to answer our question and spoke very rudely with us (curt intonation, unwillingness to help, impatient) - so we just walked out of the store and left because we decided it was better to buy our mattress from another location where we would receive better customer service. We ended up going with a location in DT Los Angeles. So YES, Everytime I follow up my delivery date I am having a hard time to explain it. In addition, your delivery service is very poor, please don't give people hopes high when you can't do your words/action in time. I even request off the 1st date delivery supposed to be but since she typed my wrong number I did not received any calls/text that they move the date of delivery of my couch. So yeah, I wasted time waiting for nothing. We had an okay experience in purchasing a sofa set with our sales person Joshua. He was very welcoming and understanding to what we were looking for in a sofa set. Towards the end when we were finalizing our paperwork, the desktop person " Jordan" was very hostile and rude. Jordan is the front desk person who deals with the financial part and also confirms your information for delivery. She had poor customer service and communication skills with us, co workers, and other customers. She even answered a PERSONAL PHONE CALL while we were going over the paperwork. We then spoke to Joshua our salesperson about our poor experience with Jordan. He felt bad in the way she treated us, so in exchange he offered us a $25 gift card. Joshua had asked the two front desk employees about the gift card, but we heard Jordan say with an attitude " yeah for what do you need the gift card for?" questioning Joshua a few steps away from us. At that point we were debating on canceling the order, but our sales person Joshua was the main reason why we went through with the purchase. We gladly did not accept the gift card, and will not be making any future purchases at this store. A piece advice for this store is to hire/train employees that are willing to help and communicate with customers, while also obtaining good customer service.
