DO NOT BUY FURNITURE HERE. I would give zero stars if possible. Ashley furniture is a garbage company that doesn't give a shit about its customers. Sales associate promised me there would not be delays any longer than the delivery window specified. I specifically asked if driver shortages and supply chain issues would delay and they told me, "No the furniture is produced and shipped in the Midwest. The latest it will arrive is 8-10 weeks." They either need to educate their sales people better or stop deceiving customers to sell furniture they don't have in stock. They will tell you anything to sell the furniture. Do not prepay for your furniture. Twice they no showed on the delivery date-- once without giving us notice and the second time in a vague email the day of, now coming up on a third delivery date that will be missed. Horrible customer service. Can't get anyone on the phone. They only push the date back one month each time they miss it so you never know when you'll actually get the furniture. We are so pissed. Coming up on 6 months without our full set of furniture. We literally have a partial set of furniture. The best part is you can't return the furniture until you have the whole set of everything you ordered and if you want to cancel there is a 10%restocking fee. Basically they take your money and hold you hostage. Take your money elsewhere to a company who has ethical business practices. Ashley is a scam. After looking into more reviews online I've found this has been going on long before the pandemic and supply chain issues. This is just the way they do business. read more

Fahimeh and Yasaman, just wow!! BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Immediately upon walking in to Ashley's furniture with my family, I was greeted by Yasaman to help out with my purchase. I had no idea what I wanted but I was there to furnish my entire place. Yasaman had AMAZING PATIENCE while I took my time finding the perfect furniture for me and my family (because I am VERY PICKY) and gave the perfect recommendations when I felt like giving up on finding furniture. She made sure to recommend similar items of what I had an interest in while also keeping in mind the budget I wanted to follow. That made me feel like she was really here to help, she was paying attention to all of my needs and wants and made me feel very comfortable. Unlike other salesmen that are just there to sale you on the highest furniture possible and make you feel uncomfortable when you tell them that price is too high for your budget and they keep pushing on the issue. Fahimeh was an ALLSTAR, she came in like superwoman and helped everything I purchased make sense. She broke down the calculations to the Tee of everything and I felt so good about my purchase because it was so thoroughly explained and I knew upon leaving the store I would not have buyers remorse. Fahimeh was so professional, attentive, and very kind and it makes you feel so good about your purchase and makes you want to buy more because the vibe is so good it feels like a shopping day out with the girls. Fahimeh and Yasaman were the perfect team!! I don't know how they managed to keep such great energy for the 3 hours that I was there, but they did and it came off very genuine and not fake at all. Don't shop here my gf and I were helping her shop for furniture. The first visit with Brandon was great. He was knowledgeable and give us space and all the right information so we thought. First day my gf put her bed frame on a credit card to lock in a delivery to give her more time to ponder the other items she wanted to order. Then she was told she could get 5 years no interest and could get a bundled discount if she added more. So a few days after she runs her credit and was told she was approved for 6,000$ now they don't tell her it was for the 5 year plan but there back up option for 18 months which she didn't know was the case until the first bill came. She ended up asking Brandon to move the bed frame to the financing along with 4k worth of furniture. He didn't process the refund for the credit card then lies to me telling me it's 7-15 business days to see a refund when In reality he didn't process the refund. We were told you get a 30 exchange policy which is bullshit. We had a problem with a liquid spill on her brand new table that took them a month to take care of luckily she had a issue within 72 hours or they wouldn't have taken care of her on that. The manager is no help and customer service and the sales teams point the finger at eachother when you have any issues. Luckily she likes her furniture or she would be screwed. But highly recommend you shop around unless you don't plan to return it and don't care if you don't like it. If you like bait and switch tactics then go ahead otherwise I wouldn't shop here ever again. read more

I'm kind of in shock to be honest. I had a very warm and wonderful experience with Gaby and Fahima last week. I was so excited to get my delivery today with my brand new mattress! Sleep is so important and I've been lacking in it as of late because of my old mattress! I bought pillows, an overpriced mattress pad and paid for the delivery and set up fee because of the fact that Gaby specifically said they'd remove and recycle my old mattress and box spring. That was not the case this morning...the drivers said nothing was notated and they would take it outside and leave it on my sidewalk as a courtesy to me but that was not what they normally do. I wasn't too worried because I was certain Gaby would help because she was so great last week when I spent $2500. I called customer service a number of times because I kept getting disconnected...it took an hour to get through. I finally got through and Kovani in customer service who was very helpful. She called the store and said they would call me once Gaby got to the store to help me out. No one called, for 5 1/2 hrs. I waited and no one ever reached out. I decided to drive over to the store to find out if they could help and Frankie, the manager was at the front. While visibly upset, he stood there stoically and said very little to comfort me or empathize with the situation. In fact his lack of humanity and common courtesy further agitated me and their customer service failure. After now reading their almost all negative reviews, I'm not shocked by any of this any more. Long story short, Gaby and Frankie both argued the fact that it was not Ashley Homestore's issue but the delivery drivers and their company. Frankie was quite impressed that the driver even helped to remove the mattresses at all and made it seem like they were doing me a favor by doing so. I reiterated to him that I didn't want to pay for a delivery fee, that I would have someone help me pick it up myself, and Gaby insisted it would be the best decision because they set up and remove and recycle the old items. I also reminded them that I didn't pay the delivery drivers company, all of my transactions were through Ashley HomeStore directly. As a salesperson myself, I understand how important follow through is, I also understand how miscommunication and misunderstandings can further disrupt an already sensitive situation. I'm bummed that Gaby was not as awesome a customer service person as I initially thought. Frankie was so unhelpful that it's almost not even worth mentioning. He eventually came back when nothing was being resolved and offered to remove the delivery charge...but of course it was reduced off the cost of the items to hit Gaby's commission I imagine...and not the stores back end to cover cost for an incompetent delivery service. I purchased an entire living room set last October from this specific Ashley location and have had nothing but amazing things to say about this store and their items. I never would have anticipated this happening or that I'd be forcing my 13yo son to sit here in the car while still in the Ashley parking lot so I can write this review. It's really so sad. Be ready for disappointment. Oh, and the box spring I purchased wasn't even the right size for my mattress. We'll see how this goes when I measure it for them per Frankies request. I don't understand how people who work in customer service at a furniture store can be so selective of who they will assist. The Representatives at this store pick and choose who they want to help. I was being helped by a Representative who clocked out of his shift after I decided not to buy the clearance item. He assured my that another Representative would help me, but after standing around for 20 minutes and no one assisting me I asked a Representative for help and he told me that he couldn't help me because he worked in "customer service"; the irony. I now understand why this store has 2 stars and I'll assume this is a low performing store and their bottom line is being negatively impacted by the poor salesmanship and customer service. read more

In 68 years on God's green earth this has been, BY FAR, and WITHOUT QUESTION the single worst retail experience I've ever had. As humans we all make mistakes. It's how we respond to those mistakes that determines who we are as professionals. In this case, more mistakes were made on top of the original mistakes. Ashley Furniture, Venice Blvd, Culver City, with help from their warehouse people in Colton took 17 days to get a silly little bedroom set delivered and assembled correctly. Some of the challenges? The wrong bed delivered and assembled. Delayed mattress. Delivery date for the mattress moved back. I go to the store to pick out another mattress. A crew showed up 4 days later to deliver the wrong mattress and to collect the bed, the dresser and the night stand. Huh? 15 days later, right bed, no mattress. Yes, the mattress was in the warehouse. Never got on the truck. Now it's a total of 17 days with no mattress, sleeping on a yoga mat. Ashley uses an outside delivery service who couldn't care less about any of this. On one of the deliveries I received a text saying they were roughly 10 minutes away. They showed up one hour and twenty minutes later. On the day they finally delivered the correct mattress, they showed up an hour past their " 4 hour window," making me wait 7 hours on a Saturday. Like I had nothing else better to do. In their defense, with each challenge store managers Frankie and Fahima did their genuine best to make amends, and Denise the dispatcher in Colton got them to deliver the correct mattress a day early, when the managers could not. She called me later in the day before she left work to insure it had arrived. Thank you, dear lady, for superb customer support. You just leaped to the top of my Christmas card list. Twice they sent me a text claiming I could track my delivery by clicking on the link they sent, only to discover that the link lands you not for tracking info, but rather a sales pitch of their inventory. Would refer to this as a comedy of errors, but it stopped being funny around Day 10. You can't make this stuff up. This is a cautionary tale, and consider yourself forewarned about doing business with Ashley Furniture. I'd like to believe this was a conflagration of missteps, a, "perfect storm," leading to a nightmare that won't be repeated anytime soon. Caveat emptor. read more

Worse customer service ever, avoid at all cost. Ordered chair, they delivered wrong color, told driver who said" yeah, let me check on that", then left. Called customer service, young woman tried to help, but clearly was given the run around and gave call to manager. He never apologized, insinuated several times that somehow it was my error, that maybe I chose that color and changed my mind, etc. Sleaziest salesperson I have ever met. Left the chair there. Want nothing more to do with this company. You've been warned. Update: A female manager just called and was very kind, and let me know my chair would be refunded in a few business days. Ashley Furniture in Culver City is a big rip Off. I do not like to order things on the internet because of the scams so I went in the store to pick out a rug and the salesperson help me. I gave him my measurements for the rug he told me he did not have though measurements and he would help me find a rug close to my measurements. When I finally got the rug it was so big it did not fit in the room and was to big for me to pick up. I called the store to pick it up and to get a rug that is closest to what I need. They would not help me and told me to sell it on offer up. I was asking them to refund my money and they would not help me. There is NO customer service at this store at all. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. After spending well over $1700 at this store, not only did we have missing bolts from our bedside table, but they lost our dresser in the mail and had to already come and fix our couch. Yes we've had all this furniture for 1 month and have had way too many problems After waiting a month for the original dresser that was 'lost in the mail'. The dresser was sent direct ship meaning the box was damaged and they had to send us another one. Yes you read that correctly. They managed to loose a 60 pound dresser in the mail. I'm not even sure how that is possible. When I called the store to ask for help and find the solution, the lady was not helpful and neither was the manager. All they said was "sorry". Eventually we got our 3rd replacement dresser in the mail and pieced it together using non-damaged pieces from the 2nd and 3rd box to build a somewhat functioning dresser. Absolutely shocking how low quality it all tuned out to be when in stores it looked perfect. Additionally we bought a couch with chaise and it arrived 4 weeks ago. After it arrived a staple popped out of the bottom and managed to cut us. A brand new couch cutting your foot?? When I called for a technician it took 48 hrs to even schedule a technician and once the technician came out he left staples all over our living room floor. If we hadn't looked down we could have really hurt ourselves. Not only did we receive poor customer service in store, but over the phone and via corporate technicians. I would truly think twice before stepping foot into an Ashley's furniture and spending even a penny. read more

Buyer beware!  I  bought items at their store, they delivered the items, I returned some items, then 3 months later Ashley Furniture calls me saying I owe them over $400. Patricia from Ashley's said if I do not pay, they will either send me to collections or show up at my house to get the items.  I paid for everything at time of purchase! I was in the store several times after and they even refunded me money. I have spent hours on the phone trying to reach the Regional Manager, no response. I am in disbelief on the customer service, organization and scamming that this company is doing. I did NOT finance anything, I paid for it at the store in person and it took over 1 month for the items to get delivered. Why would ashley's deliver items is it wasn't paid for? Do not do business with Ashley's!! PLUS, they have dated furniture and it is not quality furniture either! read more

When I went to buy furniture the man selling the furniture didn't tell me that the store doesn't accept returns; he told me at a later date that the it stated on the paperwork that the store doesn't accept returns, however you don't get that paperwork until after buying the item. read more

Could I give them negative stars? Since April 17 I have been waiting for a home delivery. Countless number of phone calls to get my refund. Right now I have been put on hold for 40 min and even after they processed my refund yet they refuse to finalize it. Is there a CEO in this company? Do they care about this horrible image that they project? They delayed one of my items 5 times and I gave up. I requested for refund and still I can't get my money back. These guys need to be taken out by Amazon. My next step will be BBB. It's a shame to treat customers like this. Follow up: I just got off the phone with their store and they blamed the corporate for closing the case!! Now they are telling me it would take up to 10 business days to give me refund. This process started on May 24th and now another two weeks till June 18!. A word dysfunctional doesn't serve this corporate. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. When I showed up at the store I had a budget for my mattress, and the sales person immediately showed me something 3x my price range. She explained with the sales going on it would be a much lower price, and directed me to a "mattress professional" instead. He eased my mind a bit more and yes I'll admit I did get very good prices on the pieces I purchased. I ended up buying a mattress/box spring (and I thought a basic frame), a coffee table/end table set, dresser and a sofa. The dresser that arrived was the wrong one, the tables were damaged (and very poor quality) and no frame included and I was told I never ordered that. Great! So they filed a complaint re: the tables and after 3 phone calls they finally agreed to replace them. The dresser I did end up accepting but I noted to customer service I wasn't happy that I had the wrong piece ordered. After speaking to customer service 3-4 times on the tables and the frame, I asked for them to please check on the frame for me as my bed is currently sitting on the floor. I followed up and still haven't heard back. The furniture was delivered over a month ago. The only reason I got the tables replaced is because I followed up 3 times. Also to add I was told I wouldn't be charged for the "cooling" mattress pad they included - which was actually $260. Avoid this company - I'm sure if your delivery goes well the furniture is *ok* but if there's a problem, don't expect customer service to help much without multiple follow ups. I should have known from the start to walk straight out of this place; but they had beautiful furniture with an unbeatable price tag....so I purchased. My original purchase was nothing but problematic. The saleswoman who was helping me was CLUELESS on what she was doing. And as opposed to helping ensure that I had all the appropriate pieces I needed....kept trying to up sell the mattress (to a $3000 mattress?!?) I was purchasing with my new bedroom set. I specially ask if I needed a box spring or support for the type of bed I was purchasing. She said no....come to find out; yes....luckily a manager caught that error before I walked out of the store that day..... Flash forward to deliver day....now to be clear I am moving and purchased an ENTIRE household worth of furniture.....living room set, dining room set AND an entire bedroom set with mattress. I also specially made the 8hr drive to ensure that I was available to sign for the furniture prior to my move it date. The third party delivery service that Ashley Furniture contracts with come to pick up my furniture for delivery...no headboard and only 1/2 the under-bed storage. The warehouse stated to the delivery person "nah she has the other parts already with her." Why would that even be a thought?!? I purchase EVERYTHING but a headboard and 1/2 the under bed storage. Nope.....turns out, the original sales person didn't order the COMPLETE bedroom set..... I call the home store and ask to speak to someone regarding this issue; the initial sales associate was very pleasant and spoke with a manager who verbally very quickly fixed the situation. HOWEVER, I was informed that the associate would call to confirm my requested redelivery date was available, I waited 3+hrs for a phone call, but was leaving the LA area so wanted to ensure the situation was rectified with some documentation (email, order #...) so I called back. The second sale associate JORDAN was the most rude, unhelpful sales associate I have spoken with. I am overall happy with my furniture from Ashley; but will NEVER make a purchase from this company in the future. read more

They messed up the shipping dates on my items, tried to over charge me, and then when I called them out for the errors and asked to see a manager, the sales man had the nerve to say "do you want to call your father to come help you handle this?" And then when I stood there staring said "let's go sit down I wouldn't want to cause a scene." Even now, 6 weeks after, they're still being difficult and uncooperative, despite the issues being caused by them. And were told we would likely receive the unit in Mid to late August. We had to cancel and get out money back on September 25th. They still had not MADE the unit in their warehouse! They were saying it would LIKELY get to us on October 18th!! But there were no GUARANTEES because when we ordered it they classified it as "On Order". Which means "We can push you and your needs around till we decide to actually make the sofa. We had to cancel and get a full refund. No compensation for the past two months of waiting though. Originally the girl who helped me was fantastic, but getting items delivered has been an ongoing nightmare, love how the male manager wanted to sell me on some sort of mattress warranty and when i kept saying no he said oh im gonna give you the warranty but will just make one of the nightstands zero cost! Now there is a problem with the nightstand being delivered and another manager said well it looks like you didn't have to pay for that one...... seriously?! Don't up sell a client with something they don't want and do some shady backend thing on your systems to show that you made a sale. I so much not wanting to be this guy, but sadly the experience that I had can be described as nothing more than deplorable. To begin, I purchased the Ashley Porter bed from the Culver City location in February of this year. The reason I chose to buy the piece from Ashley and not Mathis Brothers, was because Ashley was willing to match the price which was a nearly $300 savings over what they listed their own product for. After receiving the furniture, i noticed that the curves of the headboard, and a spot on the footboard were damaged - something not observed upon delivery. Admittedly concerned, I contacted the store immediately and showed them pictures of the damage. Fahima, the store sales manager, offered to arrange for a technician to come and see if the issues could be fixed. Seeing as this would be an amenable solution, I agreed. Three weeks went by. Not a peep from neither Fahima nor a representative from Ashley. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone with a representative from the Northridge store, who arranged for a technician visit, but could not do an exchange - that had to be arranged from the store of purchase. I then contacted Fahima, who was understanding and was able to cancel the technician visit, and arrange an exchange. That was in April. Because of my hectic schedule, I let Fahima know that i had a specific window of time that i would be available to receive delivery - It needed to be on a Saturday, and it needed to be a Morning Appointment. We settled on April 20 for the delivery, and she had noted that in the delivery instructions that this was to be a morning delivery, and if the morning was not available, please reschedule. Somehow that information never made it to the distribution center. I have been told that there is no one within the Ashley Corporation that can make the delivery change, and that I will have to settle for ever delivery time their random algorithm will assign to me. When I called and spoke with a supposed supervisor in their so-called Customer Service Center in Wisconsin, their response was that I lived too far away from the distribution center to make any accommodation. Seriously? How is that supposed to be a customer problem? How does that person keep their job with that kind of response to a customer, when the error is not on the part of the customer, but the company? I then tried to get some resolution from the store manager, Kimi, who was just as inept as the Wisconsin representative. Again... How she manages to keep a job as a customer service or manager in any capacity is beyond my comprehension. Unwilling to address the issue to a reasonable satisfaction, she offered zero help in my situation. Sadly, I only got some traction once i charged back the furniture to my bank. But again Ashley, up to their no-good tricks, thought that they could just show up at my door with no notice, to perform the exchange. Again, epic fail. When they did this, I let them know that was unacceptable, and I had not received any notice that they were coming to perform the exchange, and that we would need to reschedule. This conversation was held directly with what I would assume was a distribution or warehouse supervisor. They informed me that they would have the store contact me to reschedule. About two days later, a message was left saying that the delivery had been scheduled for this weekend. When I called the store to confirm that the appointment was for the morning, they stated that it was indeed intact for that afternoon. I told the representative (who was new) that since this was not a morning appointment, as per my previous instruction, they would need to cancel the appointment. The new representative said that because he was just an RSA, he would have someone call me back. That call never happened. I get a call while I am away from their distribution representatives that they will only wait fifteen minutes before leaving. I called them back and told them that the delivery was to be canceled, as per my instruction given the day prior. The representative, Ana, stated that they would instruct the driver and then have someone reschedule. You would think that would be the end, but (and I couldn't make up this kind of incompetence) they came back and tried to make delivery, and again they were refused, as they had been informed prior that the delivery was to be cancelled. Ashley's excuse was that they never were informed of the change in delivery, which is ironic because 1) they were told the day before, 2) how else would I have their number 3) the driver previously stated that they were leaving. In summation, you would think that a company as large as Ashley, and purports to be Lean Six Sigma Certified in all its processes would be able to resolve their issues quickly and without this much frustration on the part of the customer, but clearly they cannot. Once I get this resolved I won't buy a stick of Ashley Furniture ever. read more

My husband and I needed a new mattress. The store told us we had 90 days from delivery to return or exchange the mattress if we didn't like it. We also got the mattress during a promotion where we got $1500 in gift cards. Well, now they won't let us return or exchange the mattress (which isn't working out for us) and they keep changing the rules on what we can use the gift cards for. We wouldn't have gotten a mattress from here if they wouldn't allow us to return or exchange it because we think it's important to be able to test the mattress, which many stores let you do. We would've just bought the mattress straight from Tempur-Pedic if we would've know Ashley was just lying to us. We're out thousands of dollars. read more

My Brother and I went into this store on 11/28/18 at about 8pm - We were greeted by Lonnie (He was amazing) He spent an hour with me showing me bedroom and living room furniture. I was not just browsing or just shopping around. I came into the store to purchase and also apply for an Ashley Credit Card. When it came to the end of the transaction my total was approx 2600.00 My intent was to take advantage of the promotion currently being advertised for 35% of PLUS 35 mos interest free financing. I told Lonnie this and he said OKAY. From several feet away Abraham interrupts and shouts over to us "NO 12 mos" he then looked down and continued to do whatever he was doing. He didn't approach me, didn't explain why, didn't offer alternatives. If Lonnie is on commission, Abraham took food out of his mouth. Lonnie was literally in the process of ringing everything up. ...So I walked, and Abraham kindly showed us the fastest way out. SMH When I got home, I go online, added most of the items in my cart, I then review the promotions available. They have an online AND in store promotion for 18mos financing if you spend more than 999.00 Why wouldn't Abraham not offer me that option? Why would you see your associate working so hard and kill the deal WHEN THERE WERE OTHER OPTIONS. I feel so bad for Lonnie, he really worked his tail off. I will be reaching out to the Regional Director of the Culver City/Palms store and filing a formal complaint. read more

I went to Ashley's on Black Friday and scored a nice deal for a mattress..... the sales guy gave me 40% off for Black Friday....But, I told him that I WOULD NOT buy a new mattress unless they could take away the old mattress. He assured me there would be no problem -He said he would schedule pick up with the delivery....So, I went for it - Fast forward to delivery- The delivery guy tells me that they DON't take old mattresses and that it's in the fine print of the contract....and that it's my problem. Whoa- just wow..I called the store and they told me it's up to the delivery guy's discretion...and that it's in the fine print. Once they got your money- Customer service goes out the door. Pause here...I had to call 311 and set up a pick up- Needless to say, I couldn't really surprise the wife when the old mattress is sitting in the living room for a week. Sit on the sofa to the right and left of the door as you walk in. We did. And was helped by a friendly salesperson named Edgar. We were looking for a new sofa. He showed it to us. We did not like. What we did like and ended up buying was the more expensive sofa that they have immediately to the right and left of the front door. I think the name is Savsitvo or something like that. It was like sitting on a fluffy cake. Edgar took his time, answered all our questions and did NOT try to upsell us. WE ending up up selling ourselves! When we go for our next piece of furniture we are going to Ashely first and talk to Edgar. Super professional and super nice. read more

She was patient with me as I took forever to make up my mind. She helped me figure out what my options were, made wonderful suggestions, and left no stone unturned in making sure I had exactly what I wanted. Fahimeh is a incredible manager and truly does all she can to help the customer get the best possible price. Most times when a manager says I'll do my best you don't feel like they mean it. Sold us two side tables with a matching coffee table. Did not deliver coffee table because they were out of stock, and now won't let us return the matching side tables because we didn't refuse the delivery. Lady on the phone was rude and unreasonable. Also the delivery people damaged the elevator and now we are getting charged by our building for the damage. Would never shop here again. read more

Sofa was delivered damaged twice. The first recliner had a hole in it and the replacement has snagged leather. We had to keep the damaged furniture "no exchange will be offered after you sign for delivery". Needless to say less than a year later the motor broke leaving my elderly father stuck in it for a day. After several phone calls was told I had a refund credit waiting for me at the store. Guess what happened when I arrived at the store. That's right the credit was for someone else and I am still waiting for a replacement motor. read more
