This is my second time ordering from Ashley. The first time was 6 years ago and it took me over 6 months to get a kitchen table. Now, after 4 delays, my furniture was to be delivered today. Only 1/2 of it came. After at least a dozen attempts at calling the store, 6 messages left via customer care chat, email, and/or voicemail trying to track down my delivery over the last several weeks, I still have not heard back. The delivery driver even told me that over 1/2 of his deliveries that day were missing items so this is clearly not an isolated incident. Additionally, they know it's a problem bc they state in the sales contract that they do not refund for delivery delays. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. read more

Then when interested in a piece of furniture, they had to go to the manager and get a price and then do some Crazy explaining about how the prices aren't set and they can negotiate and "make deals" I don't want a deal, I want honest pricing. So they lost my business and I ordered from the Fairfax store. I wasn't born yesterday and it's hard to buy furniture when your sales lady has neck and finger tattoos... Then she told me her uncle is the store manager and he brings her in when he needs to get rid of furniture on the floor.... This store is simply terrible. The Ashley team is full of "bait & switch" sales persons. The sales persons move from store-to-store and the person you purchase from will not be there when you return to ask about your purchase. Also, YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR FURNITURE without waiting half-a-year, no matter how much they lie to you in the store. I can give them some lee way for COVID but I have been back three times and the manager is non-responsive, the distribution center in Fredericksburg is nothing but bureaucrats who have no answers and can help you little. Recently purchased two sofas and a dining set from this location. All I can say is - working with customer service at this location has been complete nightmare. Upon purchasing my items I had a 20% coupon which I requested be applied to my order. The finance representative had been hinting that I couldn't use it because it was postmarked with my previous Woodbridge address. I found this extremely ridiculous and had commented that the coupon should be applied universally to all Ashley stores regardless of the address postmarked on the mail piece. She then was reluctant but had agreed to apply my discount. Along with this the first sales associate I had purchased my sofas with was unprofessional in the sense he had asked for my personal cell phone number for his personal phone. I had then asked for his business card to keep it professional in which he said they did not have. It felt very odd to me he was requesting my number when all had already been provided via paperwork. It felt peculiar and made me uncomfortable. The woman working behind the desk at Ashley had also given me a look confirming it was odd and unusual. It was inappropriate and extremely unprofessional on the part of that sales associate. Moving on to delivery. I had been promised my delivery would be on or before June 4th 2020 but did not end up getting my items delivered until over a month later. I understand the complications with COVID but it's tiresome reaching out to Ashley of Manassas customer service only to be promised the next week time after time. I had to call in nine separate occasions to follow up with them as they would never provide updates. When they did provide updates, the information was always incorrect. Along with this when I had called in on three occasions to confirm my contact information and address, they had informed me they had updated it to the correct information only for them to call the wrong number time and time again. Seems they did not actually update the information in their system even after I had requested the update each time. Due to their lack of attention in updating my contact info, instead of my items being delivered on the weekend. I had to call them once again and was told I'd have to wait until Wednesday since that was the next time the delivery team would be in my area. I've shopped at Ashley Furniture in the past and have had good service, but this specific location was awful. It has been a complete headache trying to receive my items. Really can not wait for all to be done with. Will not be using this Manassas store location in the future. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. read more

we placed a large order for the entire house with Ashley manassas location. Before placing the order we told them of our requirement of a timely delivery, as my wife was scheduled for surgery, and would need a couple of months to recover. Also we would be expecting international visitors and required the house furnished. The store manager Mr.Noor, and sales person Ramesh were not honest and upfront about availability of items. Mr.Noor assured us that he will be able to "source" the items from other locations and "will make sure" it is done. well, that was about two months ago. Now they do not answer phone calls when questioned about where the furniture is, and the estimated date keeps pushing back by weeks to months. The staff is Extremely unprofessional to deal with, and they refuse to give us the owners contact info so he/she knows how we feel. We would not be recommending them anytime soon. read more

My husband and I went into the Manassas Ashley store on Sat. 6/6 to purchase a new mattress and box springs. We made a purchase paid for a king size bed frame and was set for delivery on Wed. June 8th. They did show up but when they did they said the frame didn't fit so they could not setup the bed. They left our $4000 mattress and box springs on the floor. I called the Manassas office and was told that they had a frame in the office and would bring one to me. When I got back to the office I got a call from customer service saying they needed to setup another appt for delivery of the frame. I told them I had spoken to someone in the main store and they would be bringing one to me today. To my surprise I found out they had call the warehouse for them to make a delivery to me on either Friday or Sat. Trust you I was not happy. Not only that one of the guys broke a squirrel statue on my steps and denied it happened. When speaking to the manager she told me I had no proof that even happen and that basically I was lying. It was only when the 2nd young man owed up to it and said he would pay did I tell him its ok. I just wanted someone to take responsibility. Back to customer service and the manager at the store. She called and said the part for the bed didn't pass inspection so therefore they could not use the frame. I asked her why would they send a frame knowing it hadn't passed inspection? Some how it would pass on Friday if I was home for them to deliver. Needless to say we had made plans to leave town as it is my anniversary and birthday. I will never ever make another purchase at this store as I have come to believe that they are all liars. If they mouth is moving they are lying. So now they are coming on Friday I had to change plans because of their mistake. I was told about their customer service but you always want to give someone the benefit of doubt. Now I see they were spot on about their customer service and salesman. It really is about the almighty dollar. How unfortunate that I didn't do my homework and read the reviews. I purchased a sectional with a chaise. When we were in the store, the display of the sectional did not have a chaise, but it was available to add. When we received the sectional, we realized the chaise was way too large for our living room and I called the store numerous times to see if I could exchange the chaise for the cuddler end of the sectional. Each time I call I get blown off and no one calls me back. I was told that once we accepted the furniture that we could not return an item. This was never disclosed at the sale and all I want is to replace one section of the sectional. I am even willing to pay for the extra delivery. This is in the Manassas store. It is my understanding also that the owners are big time Christians. My question is, is this how Christians run their business? I have a good mind to file a report with the Consumer Protection Agency. Although we are pleased with the sectional, we just want to exchange one piece of it. What is their problem with that? Also, the sectional is missing two extra pillows that is supposed to come with it. I reported that to them also. Oh and I also had to submit photos of the furniture in my home and how it was cramping my living room. "eye roll." No sooner than I posted this review, lo and behold! I got a call from their customer rep. I was told that it was submitted to "upper management" but that it would take NINE days for them to decide whether they're going to grant me an exchange. The gal I spoke with was very nice, but it does not help that I have to wait 9 days just for them to make a decision on an exchange. That's downright ridiculous. In the meantime, I have the chaise covered in a blanket so it doesn't get damaged or sat on and my home looks terrible and cramped. Hey Upper Management!!! I came to write this review and couldn't believe the overall rating was a 1.5. I wish I had seen this sooner before purchasing our couch from Ashley. We were super excited for this couch, but after only having it for one year, we've had 3 issues. When it first arrived, part of the frame was broken and we had it fixed. Less than a year later, another part of the couch armrest frame is broken. The couch also makes a loud crackle noise every time we sit on it. We purchased the 5 year insurance but because we didn't report it in 30 days, our Claim was denied. The store was no help and insisted that they couldn't "break policy". I would also say we didn't really get a discount buying floor model; we just got out of buying all of the extras we didn't need (end tables and coffee table). Almost made the mistake of doing business here. Walked in a few weeks ago, fully intending to buy a comfy new couch, and saw signs plastered all over about a huge clearance event - up to 70% off regular prices. Walked around the whole place and of course, just about every item had a tag nearby showing numbers slashed through and "significantly marked down prices" beneath what the item "normally sells for". My boyfriend and I fell in love with a couch (of Ashley Furniture's own brand) that was priced around $1,700 and our sales person, Lorena, was thrilled to tell us what a steal it was as that very same couch was regularly sold for upwards of $7,000! Counting taxes and fees (assuming we would drive over an hour and pick the couch up ourselves from the warehouse to avoid delivery costs) we were looking at around $2,200 and 4-6 weeks until it was ready for pickup. Thankfully, two minutes of Googling revealed that not only was Ashley Furniture selling the exact same couch on their own website for about $1,500 (less than in-store and NOT on sale) but their competitors had it even cheaper - at prices we could get any day of the year. No way has this couch ever been sold for over 4x that amount as this store falsely advertised. If being blatantly lied to and scammed into overpaying is your thing, this is definitely the store for you. Lorena was otherwise very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with but it's a real shame this company is using such shady business tactics in 2019. Thanks to Coleman Furniture, we saved over $900 and got that couch of our dreams shipped in under 3 weeks *and* assembled in our house for FREE! read more

Stay away from Ashley Furniture. Biggest mistake I made dealing with them. I was assured their delivery issues were fixed. Not so. It is the worst. I recommend anyone looking for furniture avoid Ashley furniture all together. They do not have their own delivery service. They contract out delivery. Once they have your money they do not care about you at all, ignore your emails and calls. The first delivery the delivery guys unwrapped hard wood furniture in the truck, leaning on the truck that scratched it up. Other furniture was dragged off scraping the bottom of the truck door. They used one box to of my furniture to prop open the truck back door. When I mentioned it, the driver opened up my leather sofa on the street and scraped a mark on the center of it. Then said "you sure you want this all delivered?" I spoke to Deannie Ferrell, the highest person in charge with Ashley Furniture, she said, who apologized and assured me she would make things right and would have "white glove delivery" next time and the store manager said would not be charged for the delivery. Numerous calls and emails through weeks went unanswered by Ferrell after that through three days off work for delivery and still not all furniture. The second delivery was a great delivery. Yet, after making me wait as they ordered new furniture, they sent the same damaged sofa as the first time. I showed the delivery and sales person the pictures. And, they didn't have part of the order. I again waited for another delivery. That time, they sent out the same guys that damaged the stuff the first time. They said they wanted to put my furniture on the road and have me inspect it before they would deliver it. When I said no, I want it delivered into the house to avoid any damage, they tried to leave a third time. I took off three days of work. Had to removed and reinstall doors to my home and pay for the poor delivery service and totally poor customer service. I would have rather paid a little more at a company that cared about their product and services than this. I recommend anyone looking for furniture avoid Ashley furniture all together. The do not have their own delivery service. They contract out delivery. Once they have your money they do not care about you at all. My final resolution was to get my money back for the products they couldn't deliver after three times. Very poor. read more

Ordered, and paid in FULL, over $6,000 in furniture at Ashely HomeStore in early July, 2021. Ashley has yet to deliver the furniture, REFUSES to give a refund, despite not being able to deliver the product. They have a ridiculous "No Refund" policy which does not make sense, when they cannot deliver the product paid for over 5 months now. Ashley tried to deliver furniture twice, both times with incomplete order and the wrong product. Customer service is terrible, no apologies from rude manager at store. I complained about months of NO communication from Ashley, now I get a text message every Friday saying "we are looking out for your order". Calling corporate they refuse to give a refund. Obviously, Ashley cannot deliver the product and should issue a full refund to a VERY unhappy customer. This place is a scam. They have been sitting on our money for 5 months. If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a joke. I am currently sitting on hold and have been for over 20 minutes. The "customer care" center doesn't care at all. Ive spoken to two, in store representatives and been put on hold and they never come back. We purchased a bed for our son a month and a half ago and were promised a delivery window to their warehouse, at which point the bed would be delivered relatively quickly. The delivery date has passed and crickets from them. I am finally trying to get an estimated date but can never get anyone on the phone. They are definitely doing it on purpose. They already have my payment. This is unacceptable and shady business practices. I laughed out loud when I heard their advertisement for their black Friday in July sale on the radio. We ordered $5,000 worth of furniture in the store and were told by the "event manager" (which is a fancy way of saying "the guy who sits in the middle of the store on his phone"). Then upon check out, we were told by the attendant that we would be contacted on a specific date 3 weeks later to be told about our delivery date. That date has come and gone and still no call from anyone regarding when our furniture will be delivered to us. On top of it all, when you try to reach someone in the store to confirm the timeline for delivery, you can't get ahold of anyone. I rate this company a 1 for customer service and experience. The sales experience is very much like shopping for jewelry- the merchandise is extremely overpriced and then they have a "sale" to Mark it down which just brings it to a less overpriced piece of furniture. The manager assisted the salesman with our sale (is the event manager, now I know not the store manager that was what we were led to believe at the time) had no contact about delivery time. So began calling on Wednesday, told it was in the warehouse and I would receive a call with the window for delivery. We were told by the "manager" the day of purchase that delivery would be the 10th. Which is what we planned on. Now after 10 phone calls and going to the store and speaking to the real store manager we will have delivery Tuesday! This has Not been a pleasant process and each person we spoke with gave us different information, and when I called the store and asked for the mgr the event mgr got on not the store manager. On July 22nd I made a purchase for a bed and was told I had a delivery date. They required that I put a $100 deposit down. After three weeks I found out from a text message from Ashley that the item I picked was not in stock and they don't know when it would be back in stock. Since Ashley does not know when it would be back in stock I canceled the order. Even though the item is not in stock and they don't know when it will be back in stock they are unwilling to give me my $100 back. My first problem with this store is that the sales person did not tell me I had a "Estimated Delivery Date" not and actual delivery date and the second problem I have with them is that they did not tell me that the $100 is non-refundable one day after sale. If they don't have the item in stock and they have no idea on when it will be in stock I should not be forced to buy something else at there store with the down payment. They should be explaining this situation to their customers. I know someone from Ashley will say its in the contract, but their sales persons should be explaining this kind of stuff at time of sale. There needs to be an option for zero stars. This store carries nothing but garbage for furniture. It has taken over 1 month and 26 days to receive 1ITEM! During this time we got our first call saying, "it didn't meet quality control." That sounded like bullsh*t! We then had to call again and was told that we would be getting a call of when a new one comes into the warehouse. We never received a call, we called Ashley Furniture AGAIN! And they said, "oh, yes the item came in and it should be showing up by X day. The truck FINALLY SHOWED UP, mind you, it's now 12/26/19. So, now the delivery guys showed up, putting item together and guess what?! Yes, there is a problem. The box had two of the same legs for both sides, therefor the holes in the item didn't fit. There is no way of getting out of this contract once you've put your Hancock on the receipt! And no....I did not put my Hancock on the receipt, my roommate did and without reading the T&C of invoice! This place is slimy and the verbiage they have in there just screams of, "we are a trashy store, and you're a stupid customer for not reading before you signed!" We now have to wait for the General Manager to resolve the issue because they were going to send out another desk! Btw, GM was not in the store (12/26/19), he will be in on 12/27/2019. HOW CONVENIENT! This is what happens when one doesn't read their T&Cs and just quickly signs the receipt. DO NOT! I repeat, DO NOT BUY FROM ASLEY FURNITURE in Manassas, VA! We purchased a mattress in a box and when they finally shipped out the item, we opened it and it was a nightstand. All I want to do is get a refund and return the nightstand. I keep calling and leaving voicemails and they say they will get back to you in48-96 hours???!! It has been over a month since I first called. I had a terrible experience with my purchase from this location. First the sofa set that I picked out isn't the set that was delivered. Second they delivered half of my purchase and almost one month later they delivered the other half. Third the chair that came with the sofa set was damage so I didn't expect it...when they delivered the rest of my furniture they brought the same chair back to my apartment and told me that if I excepted it they would have someone come out and service the chair and that never happened. They shipped to me a leather cover to place over the damaged area but no one ever came out to service the chair. read more
