I have ordered a bedroom set 5 years ago no problem I ordered a tv cabinet and recliner and they brought me the wrong cabinet and the drivers were rude and left trash from the packing of the cabinet on the floor and left the chair in the middle of the room as they were leaving they were not happy they had to return it I called my sales manager he said he would call me back in 10 minutes but a hour later I had to call back talked to the manager Kathy and she was no help only saying they would not charge me for them to bring me the cabinet I ordered seriously! Mark Horowitz is to be avoided. Set up a delivery for $300 with my wife. When I called and said we were not paying $300 to deliver a couch 5 miles away they said they would just dump it at our front door. As of now they have not refunded to $300, I will cancel soon if they don't. Hard to reach anyone there to fix things at the store. Their value and selection are just ok. How is this place in business?! I just came back from looking at a couch I found on their site that says it is available at the store. I am just looking at a couch this woman sneaks up on me and asks me if I was looking for a price tag. I told her no im just browsing. Then I walk away, and am looking at another couch and once again the same lady is on my shoulder with a measuring tape to offer to measure the couch. Ok... I know you realize there are measurements on the tag... right? I am leaving the store and this lady is still on my heels. Look! ZERO STARS FOR CRAPPY PRODUCT AND MISLEADING EXTENDED WARRANTY. Store was helpful with purchase. However, quality of item purchase is complete junk. Did I mention that I purchased extended warranty that covers nothing. Have had patio set less than 2 years. Splitting material, discoloration, cheaply manufactured and apparently not covered under the no worry warranty. To make it worse, the patio set is in a covered area. I have bought furniture from Ashley in the past and it was good, the people cared, etc. That seems to be a thing of the past. I had bought a bed for my elderly step father and he decided he didn't like it because it was too high for him. I called Ashley in Oxnard. It took several calls before they would even pick up. They told me there were no returns & were totally rude. I can understand if their policy is no returns, but the attitude is just too much to take. I won't be shopping at Ashley again. I'm a long time customer sadly after this purchase I will never be back. MD was our sales person I knew I wanted a sectional, grey, with a sleeper and the chaise needed to be on the right. They were having a 50% sale he showed me options that fit what I was looking for. I asked for the price of the one I liked best and he wrote down the order on a worksheet he even drew the sectional with chaise sticking out on the right. I was so excited for my new couch, we prepared the night before delivery by getting rid of our existing furniture. Delivery day they were on time however after they unwrapped it I quickly noticed the piece was set up for a left side chaise I told the guy and he said I would have to work it out with the store (it's 8:30 store doesn't open till 11). He wants our signature and my boyfriend tells him he shouldn't leave it. He insisted meanwhile only half the couch is there I asked if he was done he said yes. He didn't have details on the rest of the delivery. My first call was to customer service who opened a ticket and (verbatim) told me I was tricked by the driver to accept the half couch. I'm mortified. I next was in touch with MD our sales guy. He asked me to text him a pic of the invoice and he would look into it. He told me the rest was pending delivery, I wanted to know about the piece being on the wrong side. He said he would work with his manager and get back to me. I heard very little from him over the next few days. My anxiety it threw the roof so I call the store two days later to find that i apparently only was sold half a couch and they were pending approval to have the couch picked up but if I wanted the rest of the sectional I would be charged more mind you they were running a 50% off sale... Advertised price was1449.99 and we were charged $725 for the sofa which we paid in full maybe a case of bait and switch? I feel completely taken advantage of and left with no resolve and half a sectional in my home this is probably the worst purchasing experience of my life I wish this on no one. I was really trying to be civil and work this out with the store but we have gotten no where. So do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else! read more

Okay! So we have shopped here before and were helped by natasha back in november! Man, was she amazing and very thorough! Our baby was fuzzy and she went out of her way to entertain her and do her job. So we decided to come back this time around! We got helped by Daryl and he was good! He let us shop around without being on our backs or with us tbe whole time! We all know how annoying that can be unfortunately he had to transfer us to another employee named Darla due to him unable to go over scheduled time. We understood so by now we are being helped by Darla. Moments in , another employee came up to her letting her know a few other customers were waiting for her. She seemed bothered. This employee kindly told her he would let them know and informed ber he will give them her business card. That exact moment she snapped and starts arguing with him. Okay, I'm so angry! We went to Ashley in Oxnard to look for a mattress. The sales guy is helping us and there's this man creeping up closer and closer to us, so the sales guy says, can I help you sir? The man takes his mask off and says, no I work for Ashley, I'm with corporate audit..... then he proceeded to discipline the sales guy, while we're standing there, and pretty much completely demean him. It was so uncomfortable. When he started walking away, I said, is that guy serious?! Coming from a similar line of work, I could not imagine doing that to an employee, in front of customers. Upon entering the store, we were immediately greeted by Vanessa, who made sure to let us know she'd be happy to assist us. After searching around the store, we fell in love with a sectional, an ottoman, a fabulous picture, and two gorgeous lamps. I am beyond unhappy with this company. I have spent countless hours the last couple days on the phone, chatting, being put on hold to be completely screwed. I spent a very large amount of money at this company and ordered all of my items online. It was stated that my items would all arrive by a certain date. Come to find out they were arriving much later than expected. I have not gotten any sort of details as to why this has happened, or any one on the phone who has tried to make it right. Not to mention I have been put on hold, disconnected and I've spoken to people that barely even know where they work. I will absolutely never order anything from this company ever again. You would think that they would offer some thing to make it right. They have done absolutely nothing. I advise anybody looking to purchase furniture from the store to look elsewhere. If I could give them negative stars, it was be a more realistic review of their service. Although our sales person was very nice. The management here is very rudely and they do not have good customer service after they have TAKEN YOUR MONEY. We bought a few pieces from them and had an issue with one of the pieces. My biggest recommendation is to reject the delivery if there is anything wrong (it might be the small/easiest issue to fix) with that piece of furniture you have bought. Even if they have gone through the effort of putting it all together. Because if you don't reject it or send it back at this point they will not fix any issues. They had mentioned to us that they would call us back in regards to a return within maximum wait of two days time. Although we are only in four day of them not calling us back I have a strong belief that they will never. The piece of furniture that they sold us was faulty and it's not up to the standard of the furniture piece they showed us in the show room. I am extremely disappointed and will sadly never shop at Ashley furniture again. This could have been an easy issue for them to fix. But I guess they don't believe in customer service. read more

Buyer beware! No communication comes from Ashley's at all, regarding deliveries. We purchased a bench over a month ago, in-store. On the day of delivery, we didn't receive anything. I called the following day and was told the item had a defect and wasn't loaded. (No call from Ashley's) I was told to call following day to reschedule a delivery. Called (30 mins) and was told they couldn't reschedule because the paperwork still hadn't been returned to the warehouse. They would call me to reschedule. (No call from Ashley's) We are now 3 weeks further and no call from Ashley's. I reached out to their online attendant without success. Finally, I called and spent an hour and 40 mins trying to get someone to get us answers. ASHLEY MANAGERS: This is no way to treat customers. This is an opportunity to correct communication issues within your company. If you don't correct this part of your business, YOU WON'T BE MISSED WHEN YOU'RE GONE! read more

Lots of issues with this store, some of which I posted already. I bought an art piece for 139.00. They charged me 100 for delivery. I really wanted this art piece so I sucked it up although the Ashley store was within 10 miles of my home. Wish I had the option to pick up from there. Art piece arrived six weeks later and was the same picture but darker colors...I needed the piece I ordered. If I wanted to return the item I had to waive a refund of the delivery but also pay for the return which was upwards to $35. That is a $135 loss on a painting that was $139. Moral of the story, always view the piece before signing off on it. It was a large print so I did not take it out of the box before I signed for it. BTW, if I exchanged it I would need to pay for delivery and there was no guarantee that it would look like the artwork I ordered. Again, buyer beware. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! First this store sold me a couch that wasn't delivered after over 2 months. Then when I tried to cancel, they wouldn't assist me over the phone, and made me go back to the store. At this point I had been waiting over 2 months and didn't have a couch so I was talked into looking for other couches, that may be available sooner. I found a counch in the clearance section and it looked like it was in descent shape. I assumed it was a floor model, but not severely damaged. I decided to buy it to be done with it after having to wait many months in my new place without furniture. They did not tell me about any damage to the couch. I didn't discover the damage until 7 days later. When I called the store they refused to help me return it, or replace it. Over the last month or 2 I've been trying to fix this situation with no support from the store, or Ashley's furniture corporate. This store screwed me over big time, and I didn't lift a finger to fix it. I will personally never shop with any Ashley's Furniture store ever again and I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this store. I will also be taking them to court to recoup my costs if they don't fix this. read more

Rude, unprofessional & liars. I have purchased furniture from here before, but my most recent experience was absolutely unacceptable. Went in on the 4th of July, purchased a full bedroom set, & scheduled delivery for 7/14. (Also told them if there are any cancellations to call) On 7/11 I received a confirmation text, which I responded & confirmed. Then on 7/12 I got a confirmation phone call, which I also confirmed. Well, 7/13 I get a phone call from a women (i don't remember her name) who said if I was notified about my delivery being cancelled. I said no? I confirmed & am planning on receiving my furniture. She said, well let me see what's going on & I will call you back. Hours pass, no phone call. I then call & a younger girl tells me it was cancelled because I didn't confirm & the truck was full. But they could get it to me the following Tuesday. (That doesn't work for me as I work during the week, that's why I initially scheduled for a Saturday) 1. That's a lie, I confirmed both times they contacted me. 2. How else am I supposed to confirm???? I asked to speak with the manager, Lee. Completely not helpful & incompetent. He said there was nothing he could do, except try for delivery 7/15. I asked if he was working the next day, he said yes. Well the next day, we are getting the run around again from the young women on the phone. I ask to speak to Lee, well what do you know? Lee wasn't working that day. Another lie. After all this, I finally get in touch with a different manager, Michael. He had 0 idea about anything regarding all of this. Michael made it happen for Sunday 7/15. A third party was hired to deliver & assemble. When the third party called, all the notes were wrong. They then had to call Ashley's to figure out what they were supposed to be doing. Is it really that hard?? Very disorganized, rude, & unhelpful staff. What ticks me off the most is the multiple lies we were fed, all the people who gave us the run around. Their furniture isn't cheap, & this is the way they treat their customers? I'm very unhappy with the way the whole thing was handled. The truth is always very unpopular, the fact is Ashley's have good people working there in particular Adriana who works in customer service. We had major issues with the wrong chairs and one damaged but they fixed the situation. The picture I posted is a accent chair I bought for 650 dollars and I bought 2 and spent a total of about 8000 there in Oxnard. If you bought a similar looking chair from restoration hardware it's about 4500 a piece. It's not the same experience as going to restoration hardware , however , they are a great value and they probably are on edge because the customers are demanding as I was. I actually feel kind of bad for ripping them apart and in a form of apology and appreciation I am writing this. There were many issues to begin one, one started with the delivery people who rushed it and over drilled the feet and made it crooked. worst customer service ever!!!!! i worked with a sales rep in ashley furniture in oxnard on the phone. her name was natascha perez. we spoke on the phone several hours since i bought a plaform bed, bureau 6 drawer chest, a hutch with paxberry. she understood that i only wanted to purchase furniture that would be assembled. We chose items together on the phone that would be assembled. . i let her put the furniture items in a cart she did so she could get commission. i was adamant about purchasing items that were assembled!!! i called her another day and wanted more furniture such as a coffee table, end table, kitchen table and chairs.again emphasizing that i wanted items that would be assembled only. she reassured me all the items we chose would be assembled she put it in her cart so she can get commission. well she made a mistake and sold me items i neeeded to be put together. i called the store manager, abraham and he refused to let me have the item picked up from my house and return to the store, and pay for shipping. He insisted i had to return it to the store. the coffee table was super heavy about 100 pounds, and could not even bring it in the house. the manager would not budge to accommodate me. I made an in store purchase approximately 6 weeks ago and expected my delivery today. At the time of purchase I was told the reason for the delay in delivery taking so long was due to COVID.
