Definitely do *not* buy this--despite being registered in their system, to file a claim you need the original paper sales receipt. So, if you do buy it keep track of the sales receipt. I never got to find out if they would have processed my claim (my strong suspicion, given the number of hoops I had to jump to just to learn that they couldn't move forward without the original receipt, is that they would have found some other reason to deny my claim). read more

12/15/2019 It is very unfortunate that I have to write this negative review on Ashley furniture stores. But first let me start off on a good note. Seeing to a new store, meeting sales representatives that were very helpful and very informative. Looking at Several attractive furniture pieces sold us so we decided to purchase items and spent well over $5000 (wait for the kicker) Few weeks has past and now our delivery date was approaching . Then the snow ball started getting bigger, the delivery team dented my brand new wall like 5" round, pieces of furniture were missing (example- middle of a couch) different items cannot complete a furniture set that has missing pieces to it. Not a problem we decided to deal with it until our items all came in. 01/20/20 Fast forward 3 weeks later YAY all out items was delivered and installed!!! oh wait.... OUCH while looking at our furniture we noticed several scratches (gouges) on a few pieces that we've received and looks like delivery tried to paint it HAHAHAH. So we contacted Ashley furniture store and advise them of the damages that we seen they had said the delivery company is a third-party and they are not responsible for their actions but will help us replace the items that were damaged. Not a problem we'll deal with it. Two months later three different teams came by to look at our furniture and had the wrong pieces in hand therefore they could not replace our damaged pieces. On two different repair dates the technicians brought out the same pieces as the prior appointment lol. At this point I just want to repair my own pieces on my own. Kicker: here's the kicker like I said above I spent $5000 fortunately the company was not as organized and they only charge me $2500 for all my items that I've received so at this point I'll take it as a loss and I'll repair the items myself LOL thank you guys for being an organized it save me $2500 Gold Stars 1- Nice display of furniture at the stores 2- really cool sales people not to as aggressive 3- really easy to qualify for credit 4- Showroom shows great 5- you might get free furniture!!! Bad service and unprofessional business. On March 14, 2024, I decided to buy a dinner table at Ashey Blossom Hill. When I was paying with my debit card, the salesperson made a mistake and typed the wrong amount. She charges me $400.00 more. I asked to cancel the whole bill and gave me my money back in a refund. The manager gave me an avoiding transaction document. On March 18, 2024, I went to the store, because the refund wasn't made. He told me that the process was different because I paid with a debit card and that he would process my refund. Today is March 24, 2024, and I am still waiting for my refund. The store only answered calls sometimes, so I told the manager I had been calling. He told me that he didn't have anyone to answer the phone. I am still waiting for $2,882.00. I had bought a sofa set and some other furniture, the salesman "Mo" had said he'd include a 30% discount on additional furniture which was not applied until I called him out on it. I ended up returning the sofa set for another one and was told the amount owed to me was going to be credited back to me in 5 days.... it's been almost a month and now I'm back at the store only to be told there was a miscommunication. Initially, I thought my experience was merely an isolated issue, but after ordering three different pieces of furniture to Ashley, I can confirm the customer experience is consistently bad. The furniture came with a bad odor; the boxes are used as cat toilettes before packaging the furniture. This happened on three separate orders. Two out of 5 pieces of furniture came with defective or broken parts. In one case, I decided to fix it myself after failing to contact the service both through phone or chat. The webpage offers the option to schedule a replacement, but this does not work. I tried to replace one small table that I ended giving for free and buying something somewhere else after several days on the phone trying to contact customer service. The way they get you tired is putting you in a queue of 170 people (recurrently that length several times) and asking you whether they should call you back. When you happily say yes, and they call after ~ 1 hour, there is no one on the other end, so you lose your place. This happened during three consecutive days. read more

After the sale is made they are zero help at all. And the customer service phone number, no help at all either. And don't bother calling the store. No one picks up. Let me start by saying, this is a fun store to wander around in. Sooooo much stuff. Seriously. So much. Look up while you're wandering. It's not just furniture, they have accents and decor items. Some of it is pretty cool. Truly, I enjoyed shopping here. Plus everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. Nothing pushy, but totally there to help if you need it. Selection: while there is a lot, the options are very limited. There's no customization available. A sofa comes as it does on the showroom floor. there are no other fabric choices etc. What you see is what they offer. I'm not saying that's good or bad... it just is what it is. Price: So this is where I struggled with this store. You 100% have to know what things cost. Do your research. Shopping here on a whim can leave you potentially feeling a bit ripped off. Start by looking up items on their own website. In fairness to them, the cost to run a brick and mortar store is more than to run an online business, so I get why they charge more. But you need to know... they do charge more. Returns: yeah, that's not an option. You better love it because once it goes in your house, it stays in your house. No returns. You accept delivery, you're done. Delivery: now this is fairly simple. They will bring it and set it up in your home. Whatever "it" may be. I found scheduling quite simple and fairly flexible. They give you a broad time window, but that's not unusual. I think anymore when getting delivery on something like this, you're going to spend time waiting for them to show up. They arrived in the window given and they have online tracking. I did have an issue (completely my fault) where I realized an item would not fit in my home after purchase. I called and was told to not accept the delivery. Working with the store and corporate office to get a refund was a bit confusing, but it all worked out. So why for only 3 stars? We were excited to have Ashely Furniture showroom close to where we live and we went to order Bedroom set for our lil daughter and some other stuff. We paid for delivery and assembly and was told during our visit that the delivery guys will take care of everything. On delivery we were at work and our parents were home and we came home to boxes stacked in the room (see attached pic). We called customer service and were given run around and was told someone from store will call us and take care of it, but that never happened. On top of it the the drawer of one of the dresser broke within 2 weeks. We have shopped furnitures from various stores in past (Russells, Scandinavian Design, etc) but this was the worst experience by far. Awful awful awful customer service. First of all, not a single employee here wears a mask. Went to buy a dining room set and they up sold us the package that includes a rug, placemats, and dinnerware. The table/chairs alone were $899. Which we were told that they were on sale and 50% off. The two stools arrived at two different days. The first stool arrived without a package. The delivery guy just lied to me on my face that they don't send goods packaged. When the second stool arrived it came in a package and it was the same delivery guy! Now the first stool that came without the package had lot of scratches and it clearly looked pre-used. The customer care people said that they don't accept returns and someone would have to approve the case in order to be returnable. This is the worst shopping experience I have ever had. But then Friday comes, and a msg is sent that they are five minutes away, nothing happens until they call that the truck (that was five minutes away) didn't deliver to that zip code (huh??) Tried to call the store and no one answers and then it goes to Ashley customer care center in (apparently) the Philippines? We came from Salinas, a little over an hour away, after touring every furniture store in Salinas and not being satisfied with the couch choices. We called ahead and spoke with Ana and she was the first person to greet us when we walked into the showroom. She went above and beyond to help us build our perfect couch. This was our first time purchasing a legitimate couch and we wanted to get the best value but also get the specifications that we wanted. Ana made sure to communicate best value, but tell us honestly what would be the best quality in the long run. We were SO happy with our purchase and were also able to get an accent chair to go with our sleeper couch. She was patient and helped me pick out the perfect accent pillow fabrics and made sure I was satisfied before we left. I cannot recommend Ana enough!!!! I purchased a couch here over a month ago. They promised that the couch would be delivered in 3 weeks, and that I buy from this store rather than buying online because they would deliver it faster. What a joke! My delivery has been delayed 4 times now, and I had to ask for a partial delivery because I was sitting on the floor for three weeks. This store never picks up the phone and when I left a review on google they replied with their "apologies" and provided an email and of course didn't respond when I emailed them. I was supposed to get the second half delivered this week and I didn't receive a call. Of course I find out when I call them that they delayed it again without informing me at all. I asked him for another salesman who quoted me $2400.00 on the same bedroom set. He said we don't have anyone who works here by that name. Interesting he said he couldn't lower the price, the quality of the furniture average, it's not Oak heavy duty material like Russels furniture. The place is staged nicely as a selling point, however customer service sucks, product quality is not good. Wether $2400.00 versus $3700.00, the poor customer service is refuse to give them business. This was a horrible purchasing experience from Ashley Home Stores on Blossom Hill Road, San Jose, Ca. I understand it is during Covid-19 and they are 'short staffed' but that does not make up for the lies that David Wachtel told me. On the day of my purchase, I emphasized that I did not wish to purchase the two reclining lift chairs (for my parents) if they could not make good on the delivery date promised, which was Dec 11th. The store does not answer the phone. I drove two hours to purchase these chairs, and when they don't answer the phone to follow up on giving delivery status, nor do they contact me regarding the fact that they backordered the chairs and scheduled a new delivery into January 22, without calling to allow me to approve it. I have spent an entire week calling on this, being transferred from customer service in some other state because they Blossom Hill Store does not answer their phone. Now I have to start a dispute on my credit card just to get my money back! RIDICULOUS that this manager would flat out lie to a customer stating there were 13 chairs in stock at the warehouse, when indeed there are ZERO and they have not had any in stock anytime recently. The delivery dates and times were not well relayed. The delivery guys that came were very good, being careful and setting up each piece. I didn't want to hold them up from the next delivery so I tried out the recliners and off they went. A few mins later when I moved all the pillows from an area of the couch, I noticed a small snag in the fabric. Terrible experience! We went in and ordered a new sofa and 2 matching recliners. In store went well till we were delivered poor quality, poorly made furniture that they would be ashamed to have in their showrooms. told delivery person one of the recliners was clearly "defective" since the one arm had bulging wrinkles and a "dent" in the upholstery. The reclining sofa looked almost as bad. He agreed and took photos and said a service rep would be sent to resolve it when I wanted to not accept it. He took photos and submitted them to which we immediately received a call setting up a service appointment, so I was fine with that. A week later service rep arrives and agrees it looks terrible and says it probably can't be repaired and will recommend a replacement. A few days later I get a call from Ashley because I requested a "follow up" call. When I asked about my replacements she said the manager looked at the photos and does not consider them "defective". I said the rep and delivery driver both agreed they looked "defective". after going around and around the lady on the phone said I should not have signed for them at delivery. i explained I was not given an option to reject the order and if there was no issue why did they take photos and schedule a service call, i also said if she looks at the electronic signature she will see I wrote "DAMAGED" instead of a finger signature. She then agreed to send out another rep for a 2nd opinion. So a 2nd rep arrives a week later and when I open the door he say "I understand the furniture has a few wrinkles". I said no I have furniture that looks like crapola. He takes a quick look and says this is not a defect and sometimes they come that way, and if i didn't like it I should have not accepted them. I explained that the delivery person explained it doesn't work that way he says "I have heard that before and they should not do that". Long story short after him saying the furniture is mass produced in Viet Nam and this stuff happens and is "normal" it was pretty much that Ashley sells cheap junk and the follow up was already predetermined that they were not going to do anything. If I could give zero stars, I'd give less! THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I've been waiting for my furniture since August. Still don't have it. My stuff is still in boxes and we have a baby on the way. My dresser was supposed to be delivered yesterday. After waiting 2 months, I missed their call by accident. Mind you, I sat by my phone all day anticipating this deliver. The delivery guys didn't want to wait. I called them back over 20 x. No answer. So I call the lead delivery guy on the team. After calling 4x he finally pics up but realizes I'm a customer. Promises to call me back but never does. So I proceed to call Ashley Furniture myself to see if they can get a hold of the delivery guys who JUST LEFT. Not able to get a hold of them. The next morning (today) I get a message saying that because it went back to the warehouse, a "manager got a hold of it" and since it became a "first come first serve" basis, my dresser is no longer available until some time in December. I was furious. I cancelled the order and asked to speak to a manager. She transferred me to another representative so I had to explain my story over again. Finally spoke with someone with a "lead" role position and she was extremely rude. Very condescending and had no remorse for the company's screw up. Her name is Amanda (probably gave me a fake name because there's no way to trace back who you spoke with by the way so don't even bother taking names down). All this company has ever done was take my money, promise me fake delivery dates and waste my time! Lack of communication, unprofessional customer service representatives and "managers" that are a joke. Oh and let's not forget the part where you're on hold forever whenever you call. This store took advantage of my 83 year old mother. They sold her a mattress, and told her she was getting free delivery, and a free mattress protector. After delivery, she looked closer at her receipt as saw she paid $275 for a queen mattress protector!! She went back to the store 6 days after deliver of the mattress, and they said she only had 72 hours to let them know there was a problem. She asked to speak to the manager, and was told he wouldn't be there until Saturday, 2 days away. I'm trying to figure out how to help her, but I'm out of town!!!
