Horrible service. Delivered wrong item. Three weeks trying to resolve. Had to come back to the store to only find they do not even offer refunds. Never shop here. Rude employees. Argumentative over their policies. Just saw customer service responded to my first review. After calling the customer service Dept 8 times and no one returning calls clearly that doesn't work either. The two middle Eastern women in the store wearing hijabs yelled at us when we went in called my spouse stupid for not reading no refunds. Your services is horrific. 8/6/2022 If there were zero stars I would give that rating. Hoping to set up a secondary office I went into Ashley Homestore in June. I was greeted by Paula who made it clear that working on a showroom floor was not her idea of a success story (watch out older blond woman with an accent with no respect for customers). Nonetheless, I told her I needed to get a desk set and asked her to CONFIRM WHEN IT WOULD BE AVAILABLE. In order to make the sale, she flat out lied. She guaranteed that the set would be in my home by late July, but when I called back, I couldn't get ahold of anyone. After at least 10 calls (good luck having ANYONE pick up the phone in the store), I finally had to insist on a refund. Paula, again, was extremely unhelpful and really just trying to get her commission. Instead of trying to get me my refund, she tried to argue with me about WHY I WANTED A REFUND AS IF I DIDN'T HAVE THAT RIGHT. After a few very strong emails, and at least 20 more calls, I was told I would get a refund. That was two months ago. After another 10 calls, I finally get notice of a refund, but no money back in my account. I was told that even though I was able to pay for furniture that was never going to arrive that I couldn't get a credit back to my credit card, now for over two months. After another ten calls this past month with no one picking up the phone, I took another stab and was told again I needed to come into the store, and was finally able to do so after weeks on international travel. The manager asked me to show proof that I hadn't been reimbursed. I showed him my credit card account and still nothing. When I asked him to provide the name of his district manager he refused to give me that information. So, here I am two+ months later with no furniture and no refund and interest accruing on my credit card account. At this juncture, I am going to the corporate office, the Better Business Bureau and also filing a claim in small claims court. Sadly, while this was all going on, another customer was dealing with the same extremely shady business practices as me and was in to see when on earth her furniture would be delivered. He answered questions and helped us find what would work best for us. The only negative work would be the selection shown online is not the same as in the store. If I could give zero stars, I would... I would like to share my deeply disappointing and frustrating experience with Ashley Furniture in Sterling, VA (Dulles Town Crossing). I had initially been excited about making several significant purchases to furnish my new home, but this experience has completely altered my perception of the company. Our ordeal with Ashley Furniture began immediately after making the purchase and continued for months. Our frustration was compounded with the late delivery of our furniture, which arrived a whopping 2 months behind schedule. This delay alone caused a considerable amount of inconvenience and frustration. However, what made the situation even worse was the lack of effective communication and the complete disregard for customer service. During this process, despite numerous attempts, we were unable to establish meaningful communication with the company. Finally, we were able to speak with the General Manager (Shirwet Elfeel) for the store where the purchase was made and it was a poor experience. We were surprised because when we were making the purchase, the manager was so eager to assist us. However, since we've expressed an issue with non-delivery, we have been ignored and dismissed. In addition, the email address we were given by the General Manager Shiry Elfeel, at the Ashley Homestore in Sterling (where we made our purchase), returned a Message Blocked notification. We contacted multiple Customer Service Representatives, one of the Level 2 Customer Service Managers, Gillian Brown, and the Customer Service Manager for Customer Care, Kim Henderson. In addition to making numerous phone calls, we also sent several emails to these individuals, seeking updates and resolutions. Regrettably, there was no response from any of these parties. This utter lack of accountability and responsibility demonstrated by Ashley Furniture is unacceptable and unprofessional. What heightened our dissatisfaction further was the inconsistency in the information provided to us. Whenever we called to inquire about the status of our order or to address the same issues, we received conflicting and contradictory information, leaving us completely confused and frustrated. I would like to emphasize how our hope for a positive experience with Ashley Furniture has been shattered. This entire ordeal has been a nightmare, causing us significant stress and frustration. Based on this unfortunate experience, I strongly advise others to think twice before making any significant purchases from Ashley Furniture. Their inability to meet delivery schedules and the complete absence of effective customer service and communication are issues that should not be taken lightly. Our experience has left us profoundly dissatisfied, and we will certainly be considering alternative options for our future furniture needs. Do not buy from Ashley, their customer service sucks, and their products suck even more. Initially, they said they were the sofa manufacturer and everything was vigorously tested. They said it was built to perfection, but when I received the items they were full of defects. After it was delivered, about an hour later, I found out it was full of defects (cut in the fabric, uneven stitch, wrinkle in the stitch and fabric, folded foam, dent on fabric and foam, scratch on fabric.). I went to the store about the defect, they cleaned their hand by saying it got delivered so they could not do anything and gave me the corporate number. I talked to the corporate people and they want more and more pictures eventually they are satisfied and they want to want to replace one of the sofas out of three even though all of them have defects. read more

After spending thousands of dollars and even buying their protection plan for 299 dollars the least one can expect is good customer service. I can't explain how disappointed I am to have purchased my furniture at their store. To start they delivered a wrong item and later we had to follow up to get the proper item. Later when they finally brought the correct item my husband was alone at home and identified the table had scratches for which delivery agent called the customer agent, they agreed they can take it back however by then he noticed the 2 tables and bench had issues as well. The delivery agent said the order is already closed and he can't take expect the table. Now we have to follow up on those tables and bench for which no resolution was provided so far. They don't address any concerns and few customer representatives are really rude. Don't accept the item till your 100 percent satisfied because looks like they don't care once its delivered. read more

We bought a three piece living room set. We waited about two months for the set to arrive. Upon arrival, 1 piece was missing. We were told it would follow as it was out of stock. We ended up with a recliner and a love seat. As we have a den, we just continued to sit in there until the couch showed up. As we began spending time in there, my husband became increasingly ill in an allergy sort of way. Scratchy throat, itchy eyes, headache...just flu-like symptoms. We called Ashley to ask them to come get it and give us our money back as we could no longer sit in there. We have been given a run-around for months now. Send pics they said. We did twice, but it's just the brand-new set sitting in our living room. Then they said they'd give us credit. Then they rescinded that within a day. Then we did a charge back on our credit card. Ashley furniture store told them we never asked them to come get the furniture so we were denied the charge back. It's been a mess since last November and we are still sitting in our den with brand new furniture which my husband is allergic to and Ashley won't budge. We spent 4k and I find this ridiculous that we cannot expect at least a credit. They aren't helping us in the least over any of this and so now we will probably have to sell it for thousands less on FB marketplace or some such thing and lose all of our money. If you have allergies to different chemicals that are used in furniture making that don't off gas, I'd say not to shop here as you will get no help from them to right a problem. read more

Came here to buy new love seat and 2 chairs. Was greeted by Shiry Elfeel who we found out later was the Store Manager. The shopping experience was nice and we appreciated the advice and direction Shiry lead us. Then she passed us along to Abraham and the whole invoice and payment experience lost you 2 stars. It should not take 45 minutes to do paperwork and after the 100% sales experience it almost had us cancel the order. First, Abraham added the initial costs up wrong and had to redo... then we were told we had to pay for delivery of $200 plus when all other furniture stores delivery for free. The waiting for the invoice for 45 minutes was the real clincher for me and I walked out. Luckily, my husband stayed and finalized the purchase. What started out up to changing over to Abraham was a 5 star experience. Shiry has some work to do with staffing and the end of a sales experience with her team. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would bought a sofa and chair for our daughter at Thanksgiving. After two failed deliveries attempts it's almost NYE and no furniture. First delivery the delivery team called and said they were at delivery dock we went to loading deck and we saw them drive away. We called the driver and they wouldn't answer. We called customer service and the driver said they waited to long it took 5 minutes to get to loading dock. The security camera have this all on tape. We then talk to manager at store and gave us a store credit for the inconvenience Second attempt now they can't deliver because the sofa box didn't fit. We suggested taking out of the box and they refused said we had to sign a waiver which we would of done and then they once again left without trying anything. Bottom line: Ashley products do not last more than a year First of all, we actually had a nice first impression of Ashley because the sales team was super friendly, and after I bought my sofa I probably would have given them a 5 star review based on that alone. However, the sofa they sold to us for a little over $1000 did not live to see 2 years. The decking on the underside of the sofa eventually ripped.. I guess the weight of my lovely 115 lb wife sitting comfortably on it was too much to bear (see the photos- to be fair, I'm 180 lb... isn't a sofa meant to support people even heavier than us?). This was not a wine spill or a tear in the fabric or kids jumping up and down- this is a serious flaw in the underside of the sofa. A sofa should support more weight than us, and for the money we spent we would hope it would last more than 5 years. I've bought a sofa for $300 that has lasted over 10 years. However, because it was past the one year mark, Ashley HomeStore is not under warranty and will not fix it. I understand that there is a warranty for a reason, but the problem with the sofa is clearly from a manufacturing/craftsmanship error. I tried to explain this to customer support, and they offered no help whatsoever. They did not even offer me any suggestions for getting it fixed. I got a quote on my own from a local furniture repair service, and they said they could easily repair it; they felt bad for me and offered me a fair rate, but they first advised me to try again to speak with Ashley because any legitimate furniture business should offer to repair a labor/manufacturing error on an expensive sofa under 2 years old. They were even more shocked than I was at the poor service. At this point, I am putting this review to warn others so that the same thing does not happen to them. I can only hope that someone from Ashley will care enough to assist me because I have zero faith in their products going forward. If a $1000 sofa does not last 2 years to do what it is supposed to do, and Ashley won't spend parts/labor to assist their customers, why would I ever return to buy other furniture or recommend the store to my friends/family?
