My girlfriend and I frequent this establishment and we love it. Living in Houston for a year now we have tried pho from pho binh, pho Saigon, and many others. By far the pho at Asian BBQ and grill has been the most flavorful. The little dish of dragon sauce is simply amazing. Half the sauce in the soup and the other half to dip the meat into per the owner. Another perk is the jasmine hot tea. It's a large pot of piping hot real jasmine leaf tea. We have been dining at Asian BBQ & Grill for years and we are never disappointed. The pho is amazing. So delicious and always fresh. We often order take out. They pack up the noodles, veggies and broth separately so you can create your own bowl at home. P11 is my daughter's favorite. My husband loves the pork bahn mi. First visit here. Place was excellent. Yes it's outdated office furniture, yes it's a little dirty, yes the ONE little Vietnamese guy doing everything is a bit slow, but so what. Best Pho I have EVER had! Started with the Imperial Rolls- Delicious! Then had the Pho for lunch! I have had Pho at several places. In fact, that was my craving during my pregnancy. I try to eat here twice a week because I always feel better when I leave than when I got there. The Pho is king at this place and I have been getting the P11 large with extra meatballs every visit for two years. The broth will make you sweat away all your worries and cure the strongest of hangovers. It has thin beef eye round that is a very tasty when dipped in their amazing dragon sauce and delicious meatballs that's flavor is also set off by the dragon sauce. The veggies are always fresh and they add the perfect amount of noodles for a perfect balance with the broth and the meat. The broth is legitimately one of the tastiest most satisfying soups I have ever had and it is always made consistently just like the time before. Recently tried the pork and shrimp with fried rice and fried spring roll and I instantly regretted not having it sooner. The fried rice is better than any Chinese place in Conroe and the proteins are full of flavor, especially when dipped in the sauce provided. The fried spring roll is crunchy and and filled with a healthy amount of filling and goes great with the sweet sauce that comes with it. If you like spring rolls with peanut sauce for an appetizer just know that his peanut sauce will leave you desiring more and the ingredients inside the roll will always be fresh. The Bahn Mi's are portioned quite generously and taste incredible. The owners are also very decent people who strive to make sure every customer is satisfied. Friday night it was calm. The man behind the counter I assume was the owner, he had great customer service. I asked for a side of noodles for my baby, he gave me the broth and noodles and checked with me to make sure onions, etc were ok on his plate. All of the ingredients that go in a pho were fresh!!! Crisp, green and smelt wonderful!! The basil looked like it had just been snapped off the bush. We ordered the chicken and beef, both were cooked perfectly and had none of that yucky fat you sometimes get. Wonderful experience! read more

I hate to do this to any business, but sometimes it's necessary. And I will attempt to go again and will change my review once I do. I arrived after the lunch rush around 1:45 or 2. When I came in there were very few tables clean and ready for a customer. I stood in front of the door and waited to be greeted. Nothing. So I went to the counter and asked if I just picked my own table and the young man working said, "Yes and if it needs to be cleaned, I'll come do it." I found a table for two that was clean so I sat there. About 5 mins after being seated, I received a menu, but wasn't asked what I wanted to drink or anything. Ok, fine. I started looking at the menu to decide what I wanted. 15 or more minutes later, still had not been asked about my drink or places an order. To me, this is totally unacceptable. They were a little busy, but not to the point where a 20+ minute wait is acceptable. Needless to say, I left and did not get to try the food. When I go back, if the situation is better, I'll be happy to update my experience. Only time will tell. read more

The service at this place is the worst, if you have a hour lunch break be prepared to be late. My party was there for over 30 minuets and never had our orders taken and to make it worse, customers that came after us were waited on. Very good food. The service is a little slow, but it's worth the wait. The chef, whom I'm assuming is also the owner, even came out to make sure we knew how to "assemble" our pho correctly. I have to admit, I've never had pho anywhere else, so I can't really do a comparison, but it was delicious! You can tell that everything is made fresh and that the people who prepare it want it to be the best possible. If you're in the mood for something that's a little lighter than the normal fare of BBQ, burgers and steaks that you find in Conroe, this is the place to go. Be warned though, the servings of pho are huge, so bring your appetite, or be prepared to take some home. read more

We frequent Asian BBQ and Grill partly due to convenience due to it being very close to our home, but mainly because they have the best pho in the Houston area. The reviews about slow service are not cool because the restaurant is ran by an elderly couple that do not move very fast. The owners being slow with their service is made up by the taste and quality of their food. My wife has has several different entrees with them and loved all of them. I stick to the pho because it is full of flavor and fresh. We highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner if you have the chance, you will not be disappointed. Great Vietnamese place if you're not in a hurry. It seems the restaurant is entirely run by the couple except maybe an extra person in the kitchen. The quality and flavor of the food is great. The bbq pork is delicious, so I order anything on the menu with that (the pork sandwich is delicious). It's also probably the best pho I've had in Conroe.
