We went out planning to get Mexican in the area but on a Friday night it just didn't work out so we went back to the hotel and walked next door to this place. It's bright and clean and we were seated right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They have lots of options from appetizers to entrees, sushi, hibachi, and dessert. Everything was fine but to be honest many of the chicken dishes tasted pretty similar and none of it was particularly hot. It's a buffet so our expectations weren't very high but it turned out to be fairly decent. We finished our meal with some little ice cream cups and walked out full. The price was reasonable at about $51 for the three of us.

We just ate here for dinner. All four of us loved it! Everything was fresh. You could see the steam coming off the food. The tables and floors were clean. The honey chicken was my favorite. The cream cheese wontons were to die for. We will be returning soon. PS: Not sure what the pink fluff raspberry dessert is cause it wasn't labeled but that was very really good too.

We don't really like buffets, but this is the best Asian food we've encountered here. The Hibachi is the best! You choose your veggies, meats (chicken, shrimp, or beef), and have a choice of 2 noodles. Delish and freshly made. The egg drop soup is also good, and every week there are some new items. Today, pork chops Chinese style. And sesame seed coated nuts!! The seafood veggie dish today was particularly good. Great service. Senior discount keeps us coming back.

Broccoli beef, Fried shrimp, chicken nuggets, coconut shrimp and California roll.

I asked at the front desk their opinion on the place and it literally had mixed reviews. It was late and I did not want to go anywhere else at a long day of travel so I walked over. You pay for the buffet as you enter. Price to inlcude drink was around $14.50. Proceed to your table with your ticket and one of the wait staff will get your drink. Not very crowded when I went. Fairly large selection of soups, appetizers, entrees, sushi and dessert. I will say that some of the product on the line looked fresher than others. Checked out the sushi and spoke to the chef who was preparing it. Wanted to make sure it had not been sitting out too long. He assured me that it was recently prepared and asked me if there was anything in particular I might like (very nice). Got a full plate and cautiously dug. It was very good. Went back several times and the chef even prepared something special for me with mackerel. I was pleased with the sushi. I did not really get much from the hot bar, but what I got was okay, perhaps a little dry from sitting too long. So, an acceptable meal.

This buffet is much larger and busier than the Asian Buffet in town. It is well managed, clean, and orderly. The prices are very reasonable. But, at the end of the day it is a buffet and you are not going to come away thinking you just had a fine dining experience. As before, most of the food I sampled would be in the "C" to "B-" range regarding flavor and quality with some items in the poor range. Nothing was real good or outstanding as you would expect. I found the meatloaf, the popcorn shrimp and sauce, the roasted potatoes, the hash browns, the fried chicken and the teriyaki chicken to be fairly good. The dinner rolls were mediocre as were the breakfast sausages and the onion rings. The pizza had a decent enough sauce but the crust resembled cardboard. The spaghetti was mediocre and the marinara sauce not so good. The fries and hush puppies were outright poor. The service was pleasant and efficient, The young women were doing a nice job of timely clearing tables and assisting people. I left feeling full, but not really satisfied with the overall dining experience. I left the restaurant not being sure I wanted to repeat the adventure! Rate the dining experience about THREE AND A QUARTER STARS. Ok for a large buffet but not the experience we look for when dining out. It of course all depends upon what you're after. If you just want to "pork out" for a reasonable price the Golden Corral is an option.

Prices were about what you'd expect, nothing crazy. The desserts were just as solid--very tasty and a great way to wrap things up. While on a Southwest road trip, we found ourselves spending the night in Las Cruces, New Mexico…read more When we asked the staff at our hotel for a local dining recommendation, they pointed us toward the historic village of Mesilla, just south of Las Cruces. It turned out to be excellent advice. Mesilla is a charming, historic community with an unmistakable Old World feel. Founded in 1848, it once served as the Confederate capital of the Arizona Territory and is perhaps best known as the site where the notorious outlaw Billy the Kid was tried and convicted of murder in 1881. Today, the village centers around a picturesque plaza surrounded by beautifully preserved adobe buildings, shops, and restaurants that make it well worth a visit. One of Mesilla's most famous restaurants is La Posta de Mesilla, which has been serving traditional New Mexican cuisine since 1939. Over the decades, it has expanded into a sprawling 17,000-square-foot complex made up of a maze of interconnected dining rooms. Its menu is built around century-old family recipes featuring the renowned red and green chiles grown nearby in the Hatch and Mesilla valleys. After what felt like a two- or three-minute walk through the restaurant to reach our table, we ordered margaritas and waited for the customary basket of chips. I added an order of chile con queso along with both the red and green salsas. Our drinks, chips, and salsas arrived promptly. The salsas were pleasantly spicy and packed more heat than the average restaurant version, something I appreciated. Unfortunately, the chile con queso never arrived. After unsuccessfully trying to catch the attention of one of the busy servers, we finally flagged someone down to remind them. By the time it reached our table, our entrées were only moments away, leaving little opportunity to enjoy it with the chips. My wife ordered two tacos with rice and beans. I chose the Folded Tacos--three deep-fried folded corn tortillas filled with seasoned ground beef and chicken, then topped with lettuce, tomato, and shredded cheese, served alongside refried beans and rice. So, how was the food? It was simply okay. Nothing on either plate stood out. The dishes lacked the bold flavors, vibrant presentation, and satisfying textures that make New Mexican cuisine so memorable. My impression is that, over the years, La Posta has evolved into a destination built to accommodate the hundreds of thousands of tourists who visit annually. In doing so, its food seems to have been toned down to appeal to the broadest possible audience, sacrificing some of the authenticity and character that made it famous. Service added to the disappointment. It was slow, disjointed, and often difficult to find a server when we needed one. Since we visited on a Sunday evening, it's possible the restaurant was short-staffed, but regardless of the reason, the overall dining experience suffered. If you're visiting the Las Cruces area, don't miss Mesilla. It's one of southern New Mexico's true gems and absolutely deserves a stop. As for La Posta de Mesilla, however, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for dinner. In a town with this much history and character, I'm confident you'll find a restaurant that delivers a more memorable meal.

We got the Teriyaki Chicken, BBQ Pork, the last dish was chicken with veggies - there are a few flavor options for this, such as Bourbon Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, etc. I got the Kung Pao. The food was pretty good. However, the chicken in the Kung Pao was kinda gross. It looked like it had been chewed and put back in there. Taste was "off". The Kung Pao is supposed to have some "heat" (flavor) to it, though it wasn't hot at all. Which was fine. We chose to get the meal without any added sauces. And everything was really good without sauce! The reason we do this is 1) Keto diet (sugar) and 2) (possibility of) MSG. Although, I don't think, from what we had, which was grilled with sauce, that there is MSG in their sauces. If so, very little. I can taste MSG, and I didn't taste it. The meats (except the Kung Pao) had a nice grill char to them which enhanced their flavor. We chose this place for lunch knowing that it was cafeteria style (dished/served by the employees) particularly, because one has only so much time for lunch when they are working. So it worked out very well. Very fast, with hardly any wait at all. I saw that one person who reviewed was upset with the cafeteria style service... I'm not sure what his qualm was. It isn't like random people are breathing on the food. It is the same people that cook it, so what is the problem.. And yes, food is served in styrofoam containers with plasticware. It IS a "fast food" Chinese restaurant afterall. Is it my favorite Chinese place in town. No. At least not at this time. Would we go back? Absolutely!
