Hot soymilk (small), youtiao, congee (small size)
    Karen W.

This shop at the food court of 99 Ranch Market is on the farthest side from the entrance when you walk in. While the huge lit up sign above the shop says Hot Deli, the name on the menu says it's Asian Gourmet Kitchen. They offer a plethora of options such as Chinese style breakfast, dim sum, combo plates, and BBQ meats. There was a bit of a wait to order since there was only one person on staff for the entire shop chopping the BBQ meat, plating, and being the cashier. I attempted my best broken Mandarin here in ordering lol. The person at the counter spoke both English and Mandarin so it wasn't a big deal that I only knew a handful of words. Hey it's a start in attempting a convo in a different language. We got some congee, hot soymilk, a yóutiáo/Chinese donut, and a combo plate with fried rice, eggplant and marinated wheat gluten. The yóutiáo was really good. It was crisp with a soft interior. When dipped in the hot soymilk it reminded me of eating breakfasts in Taiwan. The congee was also spot on. The consistency was perfect and well seasoned. It had chopped up century eggs in it. The combo plate was delicious and it was pretty filling. The price for our meal was around $20 which wasn't bad considering all the food we got. 5-26 updating review after second try. +1 still as they are still figuring things out with soft opening. I went back the second day to get the popular Chinese bbq. I got a mix of char siu and duck. The char siu, large portion of rice, and veggies on the side was great. The duck however was... Well hard for me to properly review as all I got were bone and neck pieces. Flavor and skin were definitely there and fatty. I'll try again another day but is quite expensive if all I'm getting are bones to gnaw on. --- Quick counter serve Chinese food ranging from dim sum to bbq roast pork/duck and char siu. We had the noodles/rice with pork spare ribs, eggplant, and fish. We also got a side of har gow. In total it was about 15 bucks and was a lot of food for 2 people. Will definitely order from again. Be prepared to point and order if you don't know much Chinese like me.

Checked out Hot Deli today at the soft opening at 99 Ranch Market! Wide variety of Chinese BBQ. Half orders of Chicken/duck are $13.99 and $24.99 for full order! They also have combo rice plates to choose from too! The food was tasty and we forgot to take pics before eating so you guys gotta go try it out yourselves sorry haha. The area is clean and sanitized so I really liked that.

Been here a few times since 99 ranch opened. Love this Chinese bbq spot. They serve dim sum all day, I don't think it's the best but definitely great for a quick lunch. The star here is the bbq duck, roast pork And char siu for me. I think this duck is my favorite now in az. ADDICTINGLY GOOD! This restaurant is in a food court like environment, so I usually do take out. Do yourself a favor and try this spot!

Been here a couple times, tried their dim sum and roasted duck, not bad at all. Reasonable price, great customer service as well. Will be back again soon.

My boyfriend and I are Busan Mart @ Culdesac regulars, and we have now purchased from virtually every section in this store. It has honestly never let us down. Some of our favorite reasons to stop by include: - Trying new ramen. Grab whatever sounds good, pay, and heat it up in the back! - Buying drinks. This location is stocked with our favorite UCC and Ito En caffeinated drinks, as well as tons of other Asian sweet drinks and soju. - Grabbing ice cream. Busan Mart is SO on top of trends. Viral crunchy fruit ice creams, peach popsicles, Melonas, etc. -- they have it all. - Eating kimbap. Spam + egg and fish cake versions are killer and discounted after 9pm. Top tier late night snack. We've even found the randomest helpful items, like a callus remover (perf for climbers), and cute affordable accessories and skincare. The Culdesac setting makes it all the more perfect, with chill and well-lit outdoor seating, a lovely neighborhood to walk through while snacking, and a guest parking lot. Love it here!!

Turns out, that was a fantastic decision. We ordered the Jajangmyeon and Tangsuyuk, and both were outstanding. The Jajangmyeon had the perfect amount of rich, fermented black bean flavor without being overwhelming. The Tangsuyuk was incredibly crispy, and the sauce struck that magical balance between sweet and sour that keeps you reaching for "just one more bite." By the end of the meal, nobody was talking much--which, as any parent knows, is usually the highest compliment a restaurant can receive. We'll definitely be back for the next chapter of our H Mart culinary adventure.

They offer a variety of popular Chinese Korean dishes such as jajangmyun, jjampong, and sweet and sour pork. I have tried many different dishes from here and my favorite is jjampong, spicy seafood noodle soup. The broth is definitely the star. It's very rich, savory and deeply satisfying especially when you have a craving for it. It has lots of seafood including mussels, squid and shrimp. It's spicy enough without being overwhelming and I love the chewy wheat noodles. It does contain a ton of cabbage which is probably the only negative but it does add a natural sweetness that balances the spicy broth.

There are a lot of collectible and toy stores, including a Mini so. If you know somebody who loves anime and Funko pops, you'll definitely find a gift here. There is an Ulta here, but it is a very small kind of weird Alta. The perfume section is very small. This would not be my first choice to go to Ulta. The food court has some good choices with a Sarko Japan, Wetzel's Pretzels, and Sbarro, but we noticed some of the food places are gone, too, like Charlie's Steakery. I didn't notice whether the carousel was running while we were there. This is a relatively small mall and we were able to walk from one end to the other on bottom and top floors. If you like sporting goods, the Dick's sporting goods outlet is here. Macy's has closed, sadly, but they're still at Dillard's and JCPenney here. It has some of the standard mall stores like Hot Topic, Bath & Body Works, Torrid, Buckle, and Charlotte Russe. The line for Santa was quite long. There were children dressed up and families with matching pajamas. I was glad to see Santa getting so much business, especially because the photos are so expensive. It was a little sad, though, because even though it's the weekend before christmas, there was absolutely no Christmas music to make you feel the holiday spirit, or the shopping spirit. I couldn't help but feel a little sad because malls are a part of my growing up. Now it seems as though most malls are on their way out, and superstition is definitely among them. I hope it's around for a long while yet, but I'm guessing it's years or limited.
