    Fried Grouper Sandwich :)
    Matthew O.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It doesn't really wow anyone from the outside. But the inside is quite nice and has good views of the water. The server was friendly and attentive, making for a good meal experience. The food itself was decent as well. I got the Fried Grouper Sandwich and they did not skimp on the grouper filet. Nice meaty portion that was quite tender. I did wish the batter was a little thinner. There was just a little too much batter in my opinion, and kinda takes away from an otherwise good fish sandwich. But overall, still a solid place :)

They tried really hard to revamp this place but... I think it seems a little meh! Ambiance inside was nice, clean, friendly staff etc. We went to the bar for a pre dinner drink and we were not disappointed. It was a tasty beverage! :) They even had a happy our that in my opinion ended a bit early... Give people time to get home from work! (you know how the traffic is!) Food was ok :/ Bland salmon even though it said it had a cream sauce. Tasted like it was baked in the oven with no seasoning. We may try it again but not anytime soon. See you soon!

Pan seared grouper with rice and broccolini. Could live without the rice, but the fish and broccolini Illini were so good!

Service was so fast and so nice! Food came out so quickly and was cooked very well. The grouper was so meaty and fresh and the calamari with the peppers was so tender and tasty. The restaurant inside is VERY cold (the only downside). We did go there early in the afternoon and there weren't many others there, so I'm sure it's warmer when it's busier. I would definitely bring a sweater or sit outside next time. And the yellow rice that came with the fish was okay - a large portion, very slightly undercooked, but no flavor (more of a detractor). Get the broccolini though! That was great!

I first have to give a huge shoutout to the two servers that worked this private event of 22. The servers were extremely attentive, orders correct and quick to respond to needs and inquiries. The appetizers that came out got cold very quickly due to the fan in the room. We asked them to turn it off before dinner. This was done quickly. All of the meals came out fairly close to each other which was great! My spinach salad was good and added chicken was how I asked for. The second entree was a smash burger. The top bun was so hard. The kettle chips were not fresh. Another compliment for the servers was that they pointed out to each person receiving the check that the large party gratuity had been added.

Service was great, food was good. Will def try again. We had the Beef tip crostini and shared the jam burger. It was very messy!

We had dinner here at an event. It was tasty steak and fresh salmon, and the salads were scrumptious. They've got a really cool lower deck area that overlooks the water and is great for happy hour and sunsets.

This restaurant has so much to offer. The food is yummy and the atmosphere is amazing. There are different levels. Upstairs you can have a nice dinner with a view of the marina. On the bottom floor it is a different atmosphere. You have a chill bar and plenty of games like pool, corn hole and table shuffle board. If you need a place for a party check this place out. They have two private rooms. We chose the room with the bar and plenty of TV's and a small stage. Josh and his team were super attentive. From the time we decided to book our party to the end we felt very relaxed. The food was amazing. The space was perfect for our 50 plus guests.

A lovely place! We were in town visiting my in-laws and decided to come here when looking for a place for lunch. It was a Sunday somewhere between 3 and 4 pm, and we were able to be seated right away. It was windy and rainy, and we sat at a table right by the window to see the boats docked on the water. Our server was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I wasn't feeling too great, so I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, but I wanted some seafood really bad as so many things looked good on the menu. My husband ordered the seafood mac and cheese, and I did try those leftovers later, and chef's kiss they were good. The salad was an entree size and properly filled me up! Everything about it was tasty and everything I had hoped for. It is pricey, but it is a pretty nice restaurant. Next time we are in town, I absolutely would love to come back and try the seafood!

We made the drive from Odessa for a conference and ended up at Seafire Grill in New Port Richey... totally worth it. From the moment we showed up the vibes were good. Big building, plenty of parking... looks impressive. We were greeted right at the door, asked if we'd rather sit by the bar or in the lounge with karaoke going. Tempting, but hunger won so we picked a cozy booth by the bar. Our server Jalen made the whole night shine. Friendly, attentive, checked in, made suggestions. I browsed the drink menu, nearly got the tableside smoked old fashioned... but opted for a Hurricane Cat 1. Nothing crazy, just a good mixed fruity drink. Prices are solid for what you get. My friend went full-on carbs: scallops and linguine, gouda mashed potatoes, and seafood mac and cheese... presentation was sharp. I ordered the sirloin, medium rare, with Cabernet reduction. Broccolini on one side, switched mash for mushroom risotto, and added a side of scampi shrimp because we were hungry. Food came out on heated plates. I asked to cut into the steak so we could see the perfect medium rare... right on. The risotto was savory, the shrimp buttery and clean. We still had room for dessert. Split the dulce de leche cake... beautiful to look at, unique flavor, just sweet enough without being heavy. Atmosphere, service, food... all lined up. Seafire delivered. If I'm back in the area, this gets a return trip. Five stars easy.

This place is pricey! Your date better give you your dessert when you get home because meals are not cheap here. Service was lackluster akin to a machine, lack of hospitality. Bread from the basket fell on the ground and they didn't instinctively get replacement rolls. Calamari: what is that drizzle? Geez. Fried ok. Snapper: sautéed nice. The coconut lime rice was interesting if not mistaken for mashed potatoes at first. Good asparagus. Cesar salad: decent and the croutons were not hard so I didn't lose teeth. Shrimp scallop risotto: I felt the rice was too crunchy and not al dente enough. You get four pieces each of the seafood. Could be better. Overall tab was $100. So yeah get that nookie at home

The food was delicious but overpriced. Everything is elegant and geared toward a more upscale crowd but if I'm at an upscale restaurant the first thing they usually do is ask the table for allergies. No big deal if they don't, it's just something I expect with high end venues. The room was warm with all the windows facing sunset. There are fans moving air around but it still felt warm. Didn't taste much gin in the gimlet and the pineapple mojito was overly sweet. We preferred the drinks and the music downstairs at Sunset Cove.

Is it better to sit in the main dining room or lounge dining?

The main dining room has a dress code and is more formal. The lounge is a little more lenient with the dress code and has live music and a couple of TVs over the bar.

    Any closer to opening up?

The vibe is laid back with a happy local riverside feel. The bar area is on the right with most of the dining tables to the left. Our server, Joseph, is aces! He suggested the fried mozzarella planks, which sounded great but, seeing as this was Lady Liberty's day we went for a classic, fried pickles with a template sauce. Joseph definitely knows the menu! For entrees she picked the fried shrimp basket and I went with the Almost Island Style Grilled Chicken sandwich. (The pineapple is what did it.) As much as I loved my sandwich, next time I'll likely try the grouper, which he had recommended.* We also tried sides of French fries and potato salad. All was quite tasty! Chowder has to be made in advance. Thirty minutes after that, so an hour after we originally ordered, someone (the owner? another server? I don't know who.) said our food would be up soon. Our original server then came over to apologize and say that they hadn't even started our oysters, crab legs, or the Grouper platter at all. An hour later and they hadn't even started cooking?! It wasn't even that crowded. Surely shucking a dozen oysters doesn't take an hour?! We asked our server to cancel everything. However, our disappointment isn't so much with the meal. It's with how their manager, Anthony, handled the situation. Instead of showing empathy, apologizing, or making us feel like valued customers, Anthony spoke to my wife in a condescending, disrespectful, argumentative and unprofessional manner. No customer should ever be talked down to or belittled. A manager sets the tone for the entire restaurant. Anthony's behavior turned our evening into an unacceptable dining experience. Because of him, and him alone, we will never come back. I hope management take this review seriously. Since we had ordered simple appetizers like chips and queso and ceviche, it was a little disappointing that they weren't served first. When I asked about it, I was told the kitchen was backed up. Our server was pleasant, but she wasn't very attentive throughout the meal. There were a few times we had to get up and find her just to get drink refills or an update on our food. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially considering how highly the restaurant had been recommended. That said, the location and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful, and based on how much the locals seem to love it, I'm hoping this was just an off day rather than the norm.
