But having gotten that off my chest, OMG the food here is fantastic! I have been to every Chinese restaurant in Muskegon and they range from moderately-kind-of-OK to just plain bad. A few can just barely scratch the itch of a Chinese food craving, but generally I've just ignored the itch until it went away, rather than eat at any of them. Family Kitchen was the last place I tried, since it was the only one left I hadn't been to and it's kind of inconvenient for me. And I truly had low hopes at this point. My first time there, the food was AMAZING. And the second time. And the third time, and every time after that. I am now a huge fan of this place, despite their sad fish tank. And they're the only place in town that does egg foo young well. Really well. If you can see past the counter help who seem to have no idea what any of the food actually is, I highly recommend Family Kitchen to anyone who wants to eat decent Chinese food for a change.
