If there was another Asian restaurant nearby, this place would go out of business overnight. $40 for two meals, mixed up the order, and the food was so bad I couldn't get past three bites - and I hadn't eaten all day. Gross.

Beef bulgogi? Oversauced. More like Mongolian beef take out.

I am surprised with the rave reviews. This is take out or mall quality cuisine. Our family ordered the Thai fried rice, beef bulgogi, beef pho, beef red curry and tofu pad see eww. Although all tasted fine (by no means bad), the food was surprising over sauced for traditional Asian food. See bulgogi pics attached. That's not traditional bulgogi. Pho, pad see eww and fried rice tasted good. Red curry and bulgogi was light on beef, mostly filled with onions and sauce. See pic attached. All of this worsened by the extreme heat in the dining room. Even after asking to decrease the heat, we all still sweat through dinner. The workers were very nice but did not salvage the sub-par experience.

Gyoya (Pork Dumplings). The real deal.

Very good food. Cook uses dairy cream in the Tai dishes which makes them creamy and great, they also have generous portions.

Very tasty! I only wish there was more spice and flavor in the curry. But everything else we ordered was very good.

The ambiance is pretty typical of any Thai restaurant. Tastefully decorated, not cluttered or tacky at all. The menu was a bit lengthy, but it was nicely laid out and easy to read. The prices are pretty comparable with other Thai restaurants. Our waiter, I believe, was also the owner of the restaurant, a very pleasant gentleman. He was knowledgable about the menu and offered a spice range of 1 (no spice) to 10 (extremely spicy), and anywhere in between. My son ordered the Drunk Mama dish, my husband ordered the Mongolian dish, and after asking if there was soy in it (and mentioning I had a soy allergy), I ordered the Vegetable dish. The waiter assured me they could make it without soy. It was literally only a few minutes when the dishes started coming to the table, piping hot. I had only taken about 2 bites when the waiter came over to the table, took one look at my dish and said, "Oh, let me remake that for you. I can tell this has soy in it." He whisked it away immediately. A few minutes later, I was given a newly prepared dish, without soy, and was told there would be no charge for dinner. I also received many apologies for the mixup. This is one place that genuinely cares about their customers. My vegetable dish was full of tasty, very fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The spice levels were perfect, the presentation was nice, and the taste was outstanding. We love Thai food and have tried a lot of them, but this one is now at the top of our list. We live on the south end of Grand Rapids, but we will definitely be back! I'm looking forward to trying many of the other dishes listed on the menu. I highly recommend you try Jasmine Thai too.

I…read moreknow Thai food.I was able to find some good restaurants in Chicago but since I moved back to GR, I thought I would never have good Thai food again. My search is OVER !!! Thai Table is like the best "home cooking" I had back in Thailand. I had their pork satay with real homemade peanut sauce (not canned), onion/cucumber side - perfect balance and satay cooked over REAL charcoal-- not deep fried or grilled. Would be nice to have little toast squares to slurp up the leftover peanut sauce. I ended up using my finger to get it all (it's that good!). My main entree was Nahm Tok -a spicy beef dish native the Northeast of Thailand. It was just like "home". (They offer 5 levels of spice here; I had #3 and it was about right for me.) My partner had Pad Siew with beef. A lot for single serving; probably enough for 2 though. Very tender beef and nicely chewy wide rice noodles stir fried with julienne veggies. Again, perfectly spiced. I really wanted to have their Tom Kha soup, but at $20 for a single serving, I decided to try that next time. If they offered enough for two, for the same price, more people would be able to enjoy it. The quality of the food matched the prices. But it was worth every delicious bite! The Pad Siew and Satay matches or exceeds the style and taste of the best "street food" you could find on Silom Rd. in Bangkok ! Thai Table has been open for about two years and does a lot of takeout in the neighborhood. We are definitely making this place my "go to" for authentic Thai cuisine. Thank you for opening your place in GR! I wish you a long successful operation.

We ordered 4 entrees the ones we usually always get at Thai places and they were subpar. The masamin curry really wasn't very good it was overly salty and wasn't curry but more just tofu and veggies. The tofu wasn't fired very well and some pieces were hard, most of it was overly chewy. Had to ask for water refilled and when he did it had no ice and was warm. I did appreciate that they marked gluten free and vegetarian items though, that was nice. Unfortunately we probably won't be back.

I had ordered through Door Dash and for some reason they didn't grab any utensils or napkins. Luckily the hotel I'm at had some. Ordered the Bangkok Chicken as no one had any reviews on it and the curiosity in me wanted to try something new. So I got that to pair with my Fried Rice which is what everyone said to get and i'm glad I did. The Bangkok Chicken is a lightly battered chicken covered in the sauce of your choice. It also included mushrooms which they were able to remove because i'm not big on them. Portion was also big enough to split between 2 people. If i'm ever in the Cedar Springs area again, i'll most definitely order with them again.

Taste of Asia has food from several Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam & Laos. When we arrived we met Lena the very charming & helpful owner from Laos. She gave us a brief rundown on some of the food items available on their menu. I see my fellow Yelper formerly from Chicago Leang has also been here. I guess foodies find good food no matter where you live or travel to lol We started w/an order of shrimp spring rolls that came w/4 spring rolls loaded w/fresh lettuce, bean sprouts & shrimp. * Issan Pad Ga Pow - Ground Chicken w/Thai Basil, onion, jalapeño w/jasmine rice ball in the center & a crispy fried egg on top of the rice perfectly cooked w/a nice gooey egg yolk on top of the jasmine rice (Excellent Dish) our favorite * Pad See Ew - Thick rice noodles w/beef, Chinese broccoli & egg w/soy sauce w/a sweetness * Larb V - season minced meat, lime juice, patise, cilantro, bean sprouts & sliced cucumbers. Very good but a tad too salty for our taste. So many times when restaurants try to cook a variety of different Asian dishes from multiple countries you end up w/a variety of mediocre dishes. This wasn't the case w/Taste of Asian where each dish had its own unique blend of seasonings that made it unique to the country being represented. Our host Lena was very helpful in helping us choose our dishes. The young girl (probably her daughter came out to check on our needs several times). Her 4 year old son was tasked with bringing out a sticky rice ball wrapped to each table. I asked him how many girlfriends he had he held out his hand w/4 fingers. The crab Rangoon wonton wrapper is thick, too thick and heavy. The creamed cheese inside has an odd texture and leaves an unpleasant after taste, not what I expected, super sweet. Color looks odd. The whole thing is off and doesn't taste right. The dipping sauce is not quite duck sauce or what I expected either. I have a feeling today's lunch will be interesting. I am hopeful the rest of the apps and meal goes better than the first starter. The chicken satay is super dry. The peanut sauce is thick as heck. The spring roll had some older lettuce, not great. The sauce was not peanut sauce, just topped with peanuts was all. The fried rice is meh, nothing special. The main dishes aren't big portions. The drunken noodles aren't too bad, small portion, which is fine. The drunken noodle was the best part of the meal, that's not a good thing. Service and most of the apps and food leaves much to be desired.

We came to the area our own this time so thought we'd finally give it a try. I was undecided between the Pad Thai which I almost always get the first visit somewhere and the drunken noodles. It's kind of my gauge to how good the place is because I figure if the can't get this dish right I can't expect the more complex ones to be. We ordered the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles and the summer rolls. I'll start with the summer rolls. We typically see them with shrimp and the menu didn't say anything otherwise. There was both shrimp and chicken in them, and they were quite large and loosely wrapped. 2 for $8 was steep though considering the chicken was tough and the shrimp was strong tasting. I couldn't make myself eat them. My husband managed to eat most of one. They came with what was obviously a jarred sweet and sour sauce -another disappointment as peanut sauce is so much better and what I was kind of expecting as that is usually the norm. The drunken noodles had a nice initial flavor but the heat was more than expected for medium. My husband and I always get medium for Thai dishes and typically they are just right or a little light in heat for us. This one they had been a bit generous with the heat so much so that it was almost hard to eat. It said there were a variety of veggies but it really only had green and red peppers. There was a decent amount of chicken in the dish. There may have been some green onion but only a couple of pieces, it felt like it was enough so they could say it was included even though you had to hunt to find them. Last to the Pad Thai, my typical initial gauge for a new to us Thai place. There was a generous amount of noodles, but were on the verge of undercooked. It couldn't figure out the flavor, but they were quite sour compared to any I've had before and I'll have to say it didn't do it for me. I would say they were almost eating wha I would call sweet and sour noodles if I was to give them a name. There was no richness or depth to the flavor at all. Again the items in the noodles were sparse at best. Very little chicken in this one, a crumble of egg, and I think I saw like 4 bean sprouts.. not acceptable for $15. They did have the required peanuts on the top though. Oh, and a slice of lemon, something else I'd not seen served before with Thai food. I had high hopes at this being a great place to visit when we are in the area since we love Grand Haven and I love Thai food but this ain't it. Bummer. So sad.
