I ordered 2 dishes... the saag paneer and the chicken tikka masala with 2 side orders of garlic naan. Each dish came with rice and let me tell you, I can't tell you what was my favorite out of the two dishes. My friend and I finished eating them and both fully satisfied. Will recommend this food to anyone that wants great authentic Indian cuisine.

4-Star Review - Delhi Garden, NJ…read more Tried Delhi Garden recently on a friend's recommendation. It's a bit out of the way from the central Edison area, but worth a visit every now and then. I saw some solid reviews online and decided to check it out. Service was good . Atmosphere not that great . Overall, I was leaning toward a 3-star rating, but a few standout dishes pushed it to a 4. The aloo cutlet with chole was the star of the show--super authentic and flavorful. The paneer tikka and paneer masala also hit the mark taste-wise, though I wish they had packed a bit more spice. The paneer tandoor came in a generous portion, but again, it could've used more flavor. The biryani was just average. One common theme--everything was low on spice, and the small container of spicy sauce they give barely lasted a few bites. It's a takeout-only spot, so no dine-in tables, and the parking area is small but manageable. Price-wise, it felt fair for the portion sizes. Not perfect, but worth trying if you're in the mood for North Indian flavors and don't mind customizing the spice at home!

I came here with my parents for lunch, and was surprised to see the place practically completely empty when I went in. I guess it's not very popular yet, or perhaps just in a location people don't often visit? Either way, the food and service was quite good overall. I loved the laccha paratha and the butter chicken was good too. I tried a bit of the korma and palak paneer as well, all classics and all very well done. I particularly liked that the gravies were not as creamy as some other places that really overdo it. My one suggestion revolves around the big TV in the middle of the dining room. That thing plays cringey ads every 5 minutes or so, which creates an awkward atmosphere in the restaurant. You guys can afford to pay for ad-free YouTube so your guests don't have to listen to that crap lol, it should be like $10 per month. Little things like that can make people think you lack attention to detail or care for your customer experience, so just clean all that up and you will be fine because the food is good. Overall, good tasty food, if you fix the constant YouTube ads you will be 5 star worthy.

He was attentive and friendly, and ensured we all had a good time. Service overall was efficient. Appetizers tasted very good, but the Entrees were only above average, still it might be on us since most of us were already feeling stuffed with the Appetizers we had. There was also Live Music at the Dining area, and we got to listen to some great songs and relax as a group.

Long story short, after an international trip, the one thing my nieces craved was some Indian food. Well, they also needed to buy groceries from Patidar, so bingo! I've truthfully never come here in the past. We've purchased their mithai before, but never sat down to eat. This was a first for me and for my family, for as local as we are. My cousin is from PA, so this was an experience they were looking forward to anyways. With that said, the process is fairly simple and frill free. Place your orders at the main counter and you'll receive within maybe 5 minutes, 10 if busy. Competing with neighboring restaurants will require super fast service, so Mithaas fits the bill. We ordered a ton of items to share, including but not limited to: Dahi Puri Channa Bhatura Pani Puri Mooli Paratha Dosa I'm probably missing some items. Channa Bhatura is my personal favorite. This - like some others - is an Amritsari-based Channa. That's the best. It's a slight bit spicy, but worth it. The mooli paratha was quite a big portion size. Enough to split though. If you don't mind the no frills aspect to this place (drinking water from a water cooler, etc.), this is worth the experience and food. Also, you can be done with groceries and dinner in less an hour. How can you go wrong?

The last time, we stopped there for lunch during a summer weekday. We order three thalis. They were reasonably priced and a lot of food. And quite tasty too. We took more than half of the food home and ate over the next couple of days. We were very happy, as always, with our visit there and would gladly go there again.
