I called in my order around 330pm and it was made and ready to go by the time I got to the restaurant (around 10 minutes). The sweet and sour chicken and avocado, cucumber roll were delicious and fresh! The avocado, cucumber roll had six slices and were fresh and delicious. The sweet and sour chicken had several large tempura battered chicken strips and a large container of sweet and sour sauce. The pork fried rice was ok, not the best I've ever had, but edible. The restaurant looked nice on the inside and everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Overall I'd definitely come back and try out other things on the menu. read more

THIRD TIME IS NOT THE CHARM. We have gone three times in last three months. And it's been worse everytime. First the good is the sushi. Mad good. Now the bad. The drinks SUCK... we ordered three zombies, put them all next to each other and all a different color. Every time we order a mai tai. Everytime it tastes different. Zero consistency. They really need a seasoned bartender who actually knows how to make Asian drinks. Tonight the egg roll was burnt like a Hockey puck, rangoons had zero taste, and beef lo mein tasted extra "beefy". Never seen duck sauce the color made here either, Now the service... never seen any business run like this. Entire front staff is teenagers with zero personality, zero hospitality. And seems like zero cares given. Last week we had two bites and girl asked us "if we were ready for check" at least 4 times while we were still eating. Doesn't seem to be a front desk manager or anyone with any personality greeting guests as they enter. Place seems to be very dirty, and want to burn and turn you out. Left a 5 dollar tip on takeout and kid took it and just kind of grunted. Wont be back until make some major changes read more

Excellent food. The only difficulty I find when visiting is what to eat. Everything is that good. I normally fall victim to their fresh, delightful sushi. Always fresh and flavorful. Service is always spot on. Staff is attentive and kind. (Even when complicated orders are requested) They offer a wide array of food and superb drinks. Two words: Mai Tai. What changed? The service. I ordered hot and sour soup for appetizer and beef and broccoli with brown rice (and I'm glad they offer that) as main dish. Wife ordered chicken fingers, beef teriyaki and pork fried rice as her meal (normally appetizer). Here was the order it came out: * Beef teriyaki and chicken fingers (15 minutes later) * Beef and broccoli dish (reminded the waiter about the soup -5 minutes later) * Soup appears (reminded the waiter about the rice - 5 minutes later) * Rice appears He was way too busy and our drink order was not 100% correct but he only earned the 15% tip not the 20% Everything else was OK. read more

I order the General Gao chicken with rice and I was very satisfied with my meal. It was delicious, hot and tasted fresh! The chicken was made well because I've ordered the same thing from other restaurants and the chicken would have a lot of coating which is disgusting. We also a scorpion bowl and it was quite strong and good enough for the 3 of us. It was my first time trying it and I underestimated it, especially after the shot of bacardi 151 in the middle of the bowl haha. It pains me to write this update, but something has changed at Asian Imperial within the last 6 months or so. The food just is not what it used to be. Over the years, we've typically ordered the same rotation of items, so it was very apparent when some of those dishes suddenly went downhill. The Kung Pao Chicken used to be mildly spicy and had a nice flavor, but for some reason they have kicked up the heat so much so that it's difficult to eat. Their Beef Lo Mein, which was my favorite around, now has a ketchup-y taste but also bland, like something is missing. Even the good old standby Pork Fried Rice looks like it's made differently now, much darker in color and tastes off. These are just a few examples of dishes that really stood out. Did they change chefs? Recipes? I really hope they go back to whatever they did before, because sadly we can no longer count on them for good, dependable Chinese food, as we have for nearly 10 years. I kept 3 stars as the sushi is still quite good, as well as some of the appetizers (dumplings, wings), and the takeout service has never wavered. But now we must venture out to find another regular Chinese food place that matches the quality Asian Imperial used to have. read more

This is the worst chinese food that I have had in the area. I usually go for Dragon Express in Fitchburg, but ended up here since they were closed. The food did not have any taste to it at all. It was very bland. The portions were large, but who wants a ton of unflavored food? My dog, that's who! Best sushi ever. We have traveled a lot and nothing compares to what is served here. it sounds weird but their sashimi, especially the salmon, tuna, white tuna is phenomenal. Been to the top sushi places in Boston like Oishii, O Ya, Douzo, and Uni. None of them come close to quality, freshness, quantity and price. They have been hit or miss for awhile but tonight's food was the last we will have there. Rice, not fully cooked and no flavor. Teriyaki was extremely tuff. Peeking ravioli was thick dough, overcooked, no flavor. Crab Rangoon (my favorite) no flavor. Sushi was good though. I don't blame this on Christmas as we have had spotty food and it cost a lot. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I have been a customer for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed. Their new location is convenient and the restaurant is spacious. They have plenty of booth seating, a separate bar area and a back room that is separated from the main dining area by glass. They also have a full sushi bar and plenty of vegetarian options. The ambiance is excellent. The lighting is intimate, and everything is immaculate. The wait staff is friendly and the food is to die for! Pros: - Pleasant environment, friendly staff. - Big comfy booths, and sushi bar if you're so inclined. - Never too crowded or empty. I used to put my 100% loyalty and faith in Asian Imperial up until a couple of months or so ago. I would say best sushi ever, don't go anywhere else. This all started to change when I started getting weird rolls I did not order in my take out orders, like they didn't know what goes in what roll. Last night was the icing on the cake. The Hawaiian is one of our very favorite sushi rolls and both of ours literally grossed us out so much that our appetites no longer existed. They were full of weird chewy cartilage pieces and weird brown discolorations. I told the waitress, she seemed a bit concerned, and they made us one to go. That was nice and I am eating the new one for lunch today. Thankfully I am ok with next-day sushi but a lot of people are not. A refund or credit would have probably been nicer. I have also noticed all new staff so I don't know what that means or what's going on. I am sincerely hoping they can get their stuff together because as of now we will not be getting our sushi from there as often as we are used to. This makes us very sad! read more

I ordered takeout from Asian Imperial. Unlike at some ethnic restaurants placing the order was easy with no language barrier. Everything was ready on time and the packaging was green, no napkins or plastic silverware included, which our party did not need. The food ranged from good to excellent. We chose items from the Chinese portion of the menu. Portion sizes were good and prices reasonable. The website could benefit from pictures and also a V designation for vegetarian items. For instance, the spring rolls are vegetarian but the egg rolls are not, but we had to call to find this out. read more

Went to their Restaurant and waited easily 40 minutes to be serve COLD food. My friend stated she was highly allergic to sesame. sushi was served with sesame so we sent it back. I watched the sushi maker give the same tray back to the waitress after my friend placed her finger in the sushi plate to another table. The waitress constantly didn't check on us and when I asked to speak with the manager about the issues she stated that she HAD to charge us for 3 drinks after we told her we didn't want to stay.
