THE BEST ASIAN FOOD EVER !!! I come all the way from San Jose to visit HMB and I always have dinner here. The food is impecable and super delicious. From beef to shrimp, veggie chowmein, pork buns everything is fantastic ! This trip I did take a surprise to find out the building is up for sale. So I hope Asian king stays open even if relocated. As of 2/15/26 there's about a year left for the lease to end. Please stop by and try this place !!! Service is great. And the food is amazing.

Unfortunately, this was the worst curry I think I've had!! I LOVE curry and I don't tend to be picky, but the chicken was super rubbery, and the curry itself had an unpleasant texture, and lacked flavor. I hate giving bad reviews but I thought I should let the cooks know. The restaurant space itself was nice though!

The most delicious orange chicken and beef chow fun I've had in a loooooooong time!! Will be returning!! Extremely nice staff, quick service and very generous portions! For about $25 three of us were able to eat pretty generous plates!I even got seconds provided utensils and paper plates for my Togo order this is one plate, imagine 4 like this fo

This spot is phenomenal with the quality of their food. The veggies are always fresh and everything is cooked when you order it. I haven't had welted vegetables from here and that's a huge plus. Asian King's kitchen has always been consistent with their service for take out, delivery and dine in. The family who owns and runs this establishment are very pleasant and if you have a dietary restriction or want to replace an item in their dish they are willing to do it without a lot of hassle. However, I recommend if you're going to opt for a different ingredient in a dish always be willing to pay an additional cost. It's their time and effort they give to accommodate your needs. I highly recommend their lunch specials and their vegetarian dishes. I've tried different dishes from each of their protein categories and vegetable entrees. My favorites so far: Broccoli and Black Mushroom Three Kinds of Mushroom Chinese Chicken Salad Clams in Black Bean Sauce Kom Poa Tofu Sweet and Sour Shrimp Lunch Special Deluxe Wonton Soup Cheese Puffs Vegetarian Eggrolls Try this place out if you're driving down the coast. It's a good spot to have lunch or dinner. Whether, you're on your way through, in or out of town. If you're local, great delivery spot. Minimum is $30 for delivery. Eat well and be well. Good food and good vibes

Decent food, good portions, a little on the salty side but with rice or chow mien it was good.

It'll have your taste buds dancing like they just popped a hit o' puuuuuure molly!! First, let's talk about the plentiful vegan options: You'll find an array of dishes that are clearly marked with veg! It's like a secret code you give the doorman on your way into that underground party. But this party concentrates on delivering plant-based come-ups, son! Now, onto the flavahs! The olfactory decadence here can not be overstated. From the crispy spring rolls to the savory Kung Pao meatless, every bite will have you licking your little finger-tutting digits. Order your Kung Pao, with "Extra Pow" and your taste-buds will be burning up like the dance floor during a double-drop Tiësto track! And let's not forget the Mapo Tofu -- this dish is extra spicy and comes loaded with gobs of Chinese peppercorns that will numb your mouth into a state of sub-lingual disassociation. It's like ketamine for your taste buds! The ambience is warmer than the center of cuddle-puddle. And the staff? They're like your culinary POI spinners, ready to dose you with MSG so good you'll leave the restaurant and have to head straight to the Zendo Psychedelic support tent So, if you're itch'n and twrk'n for some top-notch Chinese cuisine, make your way to China Hooooooooouse. With such mouthwatering flavors you may find yourself rolling face. ...and don't forget your sugary fortune cookie at the end. These little biscuits are like an asian kandi-flip. This place should be much busier considering how much better it is than the other restaurants in HMB. I grew up in a place with lots of high quality Asian food, and this is the only restaurant that can compete. Only thing to note is that the place is small so you won't be able to bring a huge crowd.

Wham Rolls: They come with a house-made tamarind peanut dipping sauce that is ridiculously good- it's worth getting the rolls just to be blown away by that creative dipping sauce. On my last visit, the cashier recognized me from the countless times I visited Bangkok House and Spice Me.  She shared that the owner--the woman with the glasses who greets everyone with a genuine smile--had been a cook at one of the restaurants for years and had dreamed of having her own restaurant. With the opening of What a Meals, she finally stepped out on her own. Knowing that this food comes from someone following her lifelong dream makes every bite taste even better! While it's long overdue, I love that the gastronomic diversity of the Bay Area is finally expanding to the coast so locals have cuisine options beyond fried seafood/Italian/Mexican.

Kenny's Cafe is not fancy and by no means a fine dining establishment, but if you're into a clean restaurant with staff that takes care of their customers. Then perhaps this is a great place to try. I've worked in a restaurant for nearly half my life and I can honestly tell that it takes quite the effort to uphold a level of cleanliness and consistency especially given the fact that they've been there for over 30 years. I had their salt and pepper pork, well portioned, crispy batter, decently priced with all the right fixings and flavors.. I was not disappointed. I've also tried their prime rib which is a special every other Friday of the week and for $30, you get two sides and a soup. I was impressed with what they served and everything was cooked to standard. (Which is hard to find nowadays) Too clean and well kept to be a hole in the wall but with mountains on one side and the ocean in a tucked cove on the other, Pacifica is definitely worth the trip.

The war won ton was just the won tons with no fillings and the broth was good, but it was not what we expected. The seafood soup was mostly broth with a little bit of fresh mushrooms and French cut green beans and finely we found a couple shrimp and a few bits of calamari. The sweet and sour pork was mushy and didn't have much flavor. The kung pao shrimp was mostly onions! The next ingredient was green peppers and garlic. There were peanuts and still more onions. We are not fans of onions, so this was not a good surprise. The rice was fine but not special. We also ordered plain steamed vegetables and shrimp, which we will try tomorrow night if we are willing to eat this again. Service 5/5 Food 2.5/5 Ambiance 4/5 lovely patio in back of the building and nice linen table clothes. Good window seating. We sat down in this homey restaurant that felt like we'd been transported back in time to 1997 or so which I liked for a change. Highlights were the fried shredded pork with jalapenos, hot and sour soup, and orange chicken though everything was great. Best hot and sour soup I've ever had, great spice level and depth of flavor. The fried shredded pork was seasoned perfectly and went great with everything. We also had bbq pork chow mein and I was pleasantly surprised by the bbq pork being obviously house made fresh and not dried out bright red 40 like most places.
