Definitely a hidden gem!! We came here based off a few reviews. I'm SO glad we did!!! The food portions were honestly enough for 2. And let me tell you that was some of the BEST I have had in a longgg time! The service was wonderful, and the staff were so sweet!

Food On point. From the crispness of the egg rolls, had shrimp and pork, to the perfectly cooked rice, nice fry on the General Tso's chicken. Really appreciated the contrast in textures and how everything was hot when I got home and done well. Service I ordered takeout and it was ready in about 20mins. Greeted by a smile when I walked in and it just felt like the food was going to be exactly what I was looking for. Ambiance Quite small inside so I wouldn't recommend for a big group.

    Orange chicken!!

Wife and I are new in town been looking for a good Chinese place, and thank God we finally found the best one in Franklin. Amazing food and surprisingly great prices! The service was exceptional, seems to be family run and what a beautiful family. Love the vibe on the inside, too very traditional but clean

General Chicken, just the right amount of spice. Amazing

Great place to get authentic Chinese. I have been coming here for years because the food is consistently good. You might want to take some time to steady the menu because they offer an extensive menu. I like some spice, so I get General Chicken, with white rice and broccoli. Everything is very fresh. Also, get some egg-rolls, I get one pork and one shrimp. The egg-roll wraps are very light, fresh, and crispy and taste amazing. They are very friendly and fast!

Cruising through Franklin & decided to have Chinese here in this small shopping center. Staff was so nice & helpful. Food was delicious. Great atmosphere for the family run business that it is. We definitely would recommend.

    Bean sprouts fried rice.

On my one prior visit, I chatted with the woman at the counter about lack of bean sprouts in Chinese food in the area. She said I can request it. I ordered bean sprout fried rice for lunch recently and it was perfect. The picture doesn't do it justice. I'll order the large next time.

Tao the owner! He's a really down to earth guy.

The atmosphere immediately caught our attention--creative, intimate, colorful, and just a really cool vibe. Then the food came out and somehow managed to match the setting. We tried the beef tacos, soy garlic wings, glass noodles, and steak, and everything was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The steak was cooked perfectly, the wings were crispy and loaded with flavor, and those beef tacos definitely deserve another visit of their own. ‍ What really completed the experience was the service. Gene was awesome--friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout dinner. Great food, great atmosphere, excellent service, and reasonable prices for the quality. It's always a win when you stumble across a place you weren't expecting and leave already thinking about what you're ordering next time. Mi Kitchen is officially on the repeat list. Five stars easily.

From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. The first thing that stood out was their small plate concept, and I absolutely loved it. I enjoy trying a variety of dishes instead of committing to just one entrée, and this concept is something I wish more restaurants would adopt. We ended up trying almost half the menu and loved nearly every dish. A huge shout-out to our server, Nestor. He welcomed us warmly, was cheerful throughout the evening, and his recommendations were spot on. He truly made the dinner even more enjoyable. We started with a couple of mocktails, and the Purple Haze was refreshing and delicious. Here are some of our favorites: MI Cucumber - Smashed cucumber with soy dressing, crunchy chili oil, and cilantro. Simple, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Plantain - Fried plantains topped with sriracha goat cheese, cilantro, and crunchy gremolata. The sriracha goat cheese paired perfectly with the sweet plantains. K-Pop Chicken - Korean sweet and spicy popcorn chicken with great flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Dumplings - Homemade steamed dumplings with edamame, truffle, yuzu ponzu, and garlic confit. I really enjoyed the truffle flavor, though it may not be for everyone. Kimchi Bacon Risotto - Caramelized kimchi, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, and shrimp. One of the best dishes of the night--perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. Crispy Spicy Tuna - Spicy mayo tuna served over crispy rice. This was one of the highlights of the meal. The crispy rice was absolutely perfect. Cauliflower Taco - Crispy cauliflower with guacamole, creamy miso, and tsiran spice. The filling was flavorful, and the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. Lamb Chops - This was the only dish that felt average. The lamb was cooked well, but it was missing a bit of flavor. A little more seasoning, especially some salt, would have really elevated the dish. To finish the meal, we had the Banana Pudding with Vanilla Gelato, which was a delicious and satisfying way to end dinner. Overall, MI Kitchen completely exceeded our expectations. Amazing food, a fun small-plate concept, and outstanding service from Nestor made this a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!

I veered from what was suggested as a top sushi entree bc I was fearful of it being too spicy, so we went with a milder version ~ Crab Dragon Roll~ per the waitresses suggestion. It was definitely mild, but adding Wasabi and Ginger kicked it up a notch. I know, crazy sounding, I don't like "spicy," but I like wasabi. I'm weird! Unfortunately, the experience has been consistently disappointing. Despite multiple visits and even conversations with the chef and waitress, I'm still treated like it's my first time every single visit. At this point, I'm starting to wonder if I'm invisible or if there's a reset button I don't know about. Service is minimal at best. The only thing ever "served" to me is a drink--which, by the way, never gets refilled. Yet I still tip, hoping maybe the experience improves next time. (Spoiler alert: it hasn't.) What really stands out--and not in a good way--is the clear difference in how I'm treated compared to other customers. I'm consistently offered the same basic options: fried rolls or a standard California roll with imitation crab. Meanwhile, I watch the chef offer more premium selections like salmon and tuna to others without hesitation. This last visit was the breaking point. I came in looking forward to breaking my fast and decided to go with the all-you-can-eat option. The chef served everyone who arrived before me--and even someone who came in after me--before getting to me. When I asked about a roll I saw served (Philadelphia roll), I was told those customers were there first. Fair enough... until I pointed out someone who came in after me and was already eating. That's when I was told, "she's a usual." Got it. Message received loud and clear. It's not just about the food--it's about the experience, and consistently feeling like an afterthought isn't something I'm willing to pay for anymore.

Everything tasted fresh, no complaints there. However, I had an issue with the portion size to price ratio. My fiancé and I both ordered the regular sized pho. They have a smaller size and a regular size and we 100% ordered regular size. Now, I don't know if something got mixed up, but assuming I got the correct order, a regular size portion is a shallow takeout container with noodles and the toppings and 16oz of broth. That amount of broth is enough to barely cover everything in the already shallow bowl. Also, the bao bun, while super tasty, cost $4.25 and we got one piece of pork belly on it which I was a little sad about! The coconut pudding, also super tasty, was pretty small too and cost $3.00. However, it is a filling dessert so I can understand that pricing and portion sizes. Again, overall this place is good, but I think I've just been a bit more spoiled with other Pho spots I've been to. I've had a lot of places give me a lot more bang for my buck.
