I brought Joseph two Canon R6 camera bodies, one that I normally use with my 24-70mm and the other with my 70-200mm. Both cameras had loose hot shoe mounts, which was causing my flashes to lose connection. I was having to physically hold the flash down just to get it to fire. As you can imagine, trying to hold a flash down while zooming, shooting, and working a live event made my job extremely difficult, and I was getting dark images whenever the flash lost connection. I found Joseph through Google, explained my situation, and told him how important these cameras are to my business and that I needed them back ASAP. Joseph came through big time. He took care of BOTH cameras and had them fixed within a matter of hours, the SAME DAY. Beyond the repair itself, what stood out to me was how Joseph treated me. I was quoted an estimated $540.66 to upgrade my laptop's RAM and SSD. While I am fully aware that computer part prices have skyrocketed because of AI, charging $179 for a stick of 16GB DDR4 RAM and $176.66 for a 512GB SSD is pretty extreme. The only thing that is reasonable is the labor fees since a Micro Center store would charge about the same for a RAM upgrade and changing out an SSD. However, the cost estimate costing more than what my device costs seems predatory. I would have just bought a new computer for $540. I took my device to another shop called Wizfix Computers to get another quote, and the owner of WizFix said that $540 for the same upgrades is a gross overcharge. I was only charged $345 at WizFix ($225 for the same parts plus tax, $120 for labor). And as a bonus, the OS was upgraded to Windows 11. Device has been running well after the upgrades. I would have been overcharged nearly $200 if I chose Ross Tech. Trying to take advantage of someone like this to make extra money is very unethical and bad business.

We call and explain the problem with the laptop to the owner, Gilbert. He meets us at the shop, takes the laptop but doesn't pop off the back off for a 10-sec look. He hands my son a form to fill out saying that it would be $65. Luckily we pressed him on what we got for $65. FOR $65 he turns the laptop over pulls the back off (screws already removed BTW) looks at the port. Which needs to be soldered back on. IF we decide to have him do solder it back on, that will be at least $160. It is not a complicated task. I know, I have done it before. We walked away
