Now I have a very bad toothache. Now I have insurance. Went to them at 8:00 in the morning. Told them they should still have my exrays, however, they have to do them again. To make things short I was told that my tooth needed to be pulled. They would not pull my tooth unless I paid them an added $900 for a deep cleaning alone. I walked out the door. He was placed in a waiting room and someone from "finance" came in and said it would be 11,300 to complete all necessary dental work. They offered financing. Lol. That right there was a big red flag. But he explained that he didn't want any other work done just the extraction. They said I had gum disease and said I needed Arestin treatment, me being gullible I said ok. I gave them my insurance info... did the treatment and I got a bill for close to 3000, I asked Aspen i thought that my insurance covered this. I was then told that sometimes insurance won't cover it and that is why we asked you to get the care credit. I called and asked if I might be able to get an emergency extraction. I was told that they had a couple of same day appointments. I hurried to the office, writhing in pain, anxious to get some help. I felt like I was in a car dealership. I was given a sales pitch delivered by three different professionals, that lasted 3 hours (while still in horrific pain). So today was my first visit to this fine establishment. From the time I walked through the door it was a positive experience. They did a proper inspection on my teeth and laid out a few options to consider so I could decide what I felt would work best for my personal needs. They where able to fix the problem that needed urgent attention and the pricing I found to be on par with most other dental offices. Please note: this review is about Aspen Dental as a company. Dr Raino is a great dentist and he tries very hard. He is overbooked and overwhelmed and I actually feel bad for him . Very nice staff but This place is ridiculous. Plan on spending your whole day here even if you have an appointment. They over book and make patients wait a long time. I had to reschedule the same appt twice because of the over an hour delay and one time I had been sitting in the chair numb for over an hour before they ever came to see me. With all that time and energy, I have not had a partial in my mouth for more then 7 days. this is the worst place for dental care. i went there to have my dentures relined and they said they would not work on someone else's work. they talked me into getting a new set made. told me it would take 3 visits. i have been there 7 times and they still cant get it right. they made a wax impression of my mouth and the second time they made another impression of my current dentures. i am elderly and cant walk very well, am on oxygen and don't drive. the last set of teeth they had me try on were on an angle. they said they gave me teeth till they could get it right and charged me as if they had fulfilled the services. i paid for them on the care credit account. now i want them to cancel because they are now making a fourth wax impression and want me to come back to get them fitted right. the manager told me she would speak to her boss about getting the account cancelled due to the dental guarantee. i haven't had a call back yet for them to tell me it will be credited yet and my first payment is due in 10 days. they don't know what they are doing there as far as i am concerned and all they want is my money. read more
