We used Aspen Hill for a larger job. We were remodeling a bathroom which required a complete gut-job. The fixtures we used were high-end. David Glick and Aspen were terrific. They were responsive, their work was neat and clean, they handled all inspections, and when they were in our house, you just knew that they knew what they were doing. When I mention that Aspen Hill is responsive, I mean that there is a human being who replies quickly and comprehensively to emails. To me, that was particularly important since my work schedule only allows me to communicate sporadically throughout the day. All in all, an excellent, thorough job that came in on-budget. read more

Impressive company! I got a call back within a few hours on Friday, and then again Monday morning. I wanted my water heater replaced since an attentive tradesman noticed I had an LP hot water tank hooked up to my natural gas system -- a very big no-no! Hope I can find my documentation for the original installation so I never use that company again! AHP sent over 2 friendly and speedy technicians in 30 minutes and a few hours later, I had a new tank installed which I'm hoping will give me more hot water than the LP tank. In any case I hadn't even noticed the old tank was leaking rusty water after only 10 years, should have lasted 13 - 16 yrs but undoubtedly died early due to being an LP TANK. I've found it's very hard to find a great plumber so I am very pleased to have found this company. read more

With no pressure or up-selling, Richard has provided a solid assessment of the work that is necessary, preferable, or not worth it. I started using them to repair problems, and now I use them proactively to prevent disasters. Other contractors have complimented their work and anything they've fixed stays fixed. We had a very good experience with Aspen Hill Plumbing when they replaced our water heater. Dave Glick, the Master Plumber is very knowledgeable and happy to discuss the best options. He seems to really like working with customers and making sure that we know the tradeoffs of different solutions and can make the best choice. In our case it took a 27-email chain to figure out the best option for us and he was constantly upbeat and helpful. We got to the right solution, learned a lot, and they did great work. They were recommended by a neighbor and I had them come out to fix a leaky sink faucet, a toilet that wasn't flushing correctly, and to snake a drain (they did a great job on the sink and the drain). Overall, they were easy to work with and their prices are fair. I'm heistant to use them again only because one of the service guys they sent had to return to correct his mistake, which he did at no additional cost, however he was sort of rude about it. read more

Be warned this business may try to sell you new units that you do not need in lieu of providing a simple fix. This business was very professional on the phone and promptly sent out a serviceman when our hot water heater seemingly went out. HOWEVER, they claimed there would be a costly repair due to a faulty part, so they encouraged replacing the whole unit for $1200+. We were skeptical and got a second opinion. Thank goodness we did, as the pilot light had simply gone out. After a quick relight, $100 service fee, and demonstrating to me how to do it in the future, the unit has been running smoothly and providing us hot water ever since. I strongly question the integrity of the servicemen of Aspen Hill Plumbing and recommend you get a second opinion if you do end up using them. read more

Made an appointment because they have good reviews and I've been losing hot water. Guys came quickly and on time and spent a half an hour telling me nothing was wrong. Now I am out a half an hour and $135 and I still need to find someone to backwash the sediment out of my hot water lines. I'd expect plumbers to know common hot water heater maintenance routines better than me. Maybe I could have gotten my money's worth if I knew exactly what to tell them to do but I expected them to know. read more

I didn't think it was possible to love your plumber, but I love Aspen Hill. Over the past couple of years, they've helped me keep my old home in good shape. From a hot water heater replacement, to pinhole leak repair, to fixing a corroded drain pipe, to stopping a running toilet and more, they've done it all for me. The appointment windows are always reasonable, and the plumbers are prompt. They've been able to fix things in less time and more capably than other companies I've used. (After four years and two repairs, I had resigned myself to always having a toilet that runs. Sam found the part that was at fault and fixed it in fewer than 15 minutes.) Because they're so knowledgeable and efficient with their time, the bills have always been reasonable compared to other plumbers with similar rates. I don't know how I got lucky enough to stumble on these guys. I usually have such a hard time dealing with any home-repair type people and feel like I get jerked around or scammed. Generally when something goes wrong in my house, I dread having to deal with the people who will ostensibly fix the problem. I highly recommend this company. I had a leaking pipe in the basement dripping about 8 gallons of water in 24 hours onto our ceiling and floor. Brian was the 3rd plumber I had out to give an estimate, but he was the only one who found the shut off valves and stopped the leak. I spoke with the owner, Dave Glick, about an estimate and he was extremely accommodating and helpful. Brian came back out to fix the pipe and had it completed in record time with only very small holes cut in the wall. He cleaned up after himself and took the debris away. I have had two very positive experiences with Aspen Hill Plumbing. Both times, the plumber has arrived promptly and has completed the work professionally and completely. I just used them for the second time a couple of days ago and was impressed with the efficiency of their email communication. I sent an email describing the problem, and had a reply in about an hour with an appointment time. And on top of all of that, their prices seem lower than we've paid in the past for similar work. We emailed yesterday and had a very prompt courteous exchange, and Sam came out today. We were told he would come between 11-1:00, and they called at 10:05 to ask if earlier than 11:00 was acceptable (which it was). Sam was here about 20 minutes and identified our problem as HVAC rather than plumbing. Sam gave us the name of an HVAC guy, and then said he was going out to write up the invoice. We were aware it was a flat $122 fee for the visit. Sam came back in, after calling his boss, and told us that he was able to only charge us half, $61. In this day and age this is unheard of, and was very generous of the company. We have some plumbing remodeling to have done, and will definitely be using Aspen Hill Plumbing! read more

From the owner on down everyone I have had to a job site has been professional, courteous, and knew what they were doing. They have done everything from fix a leaky sink to digging a 16 foot trench through the sub floor of my new home to create a drain line for my washing machine. Great service and work! We had a leak from an old pipe. Two men from Aspen Hill Plumbers came on time, and professionally re-routed the pipe using PVC. The initial communication was responsive with the actual job ended up coming in under the estimate. They even cleaned up and took the trash with them. I've used Aspen Hill Plumbing twice now and they are fantastic! I've had two different plumbers and both were courteous and efficient. The first job involved fixing the broken water pipe that lead to the backyard faucet. The second job was to replace a pipe with a pin hole leak. Both jobs were done thoroughly and done well. I did have to wait for about a week and a half for an appointment but I didn't want to go with anyone else so I didn't mind the wait. The prices are fair and the office manager is friendly. I needed a new water main line from the street to the basement. When I called my regular plumber. He said they could not handle something like that and recommended Dave Glick at Aspen Hill Plumbing. I was impressed from the first meeting to the final outcome. Dave came out on time and explained the process nicely. A reasonable estimate on the entire job was given. The guys showed up on time to cut the driveway and start digging (by hand). It may seem small but I was greatly impressed by the trench they cut. Clean lines, dirt shoveled onto a tarp, dirt replaced and tamped. Somewhere in there went the new K type copper (thickest walled) pipe. Plastic was laid on the stairs to the basement and a clean new entry and cut-off was connected to my system. They were going to finish the asphalt patch of the driveway professionally but i asked, at the last minute, if they would just level it off with gravel.
