They came to service a broken washing machine. After "checking" the machine he said it was working there wasn't anything to do except to leave it unplugged for 15 minutes then plug it back in. Our pilot wouldn't light during a cold freeze. It isn't unusual to have the pilot go out but it was awful not being able to get it lit again. We might as well have been sleeping outside. Hubby checked Yelp for businesses near us. Even just having a conversation on the phone, we felt that we were getting honest information. When the problem was bigger than expected, more parts were ordered. The parts arrived in less than 2 days. Our appliances are old. We were thrilled that replacement parts were found. I decided that I wasn't bothered when work calls were answered while my pilot was being fixed. After all, our first SOS call was probably answered while another customer was getting something repaired. When the pilot was causing issues and I was paranoid about the house exploding when I smelled gas, three visits were made in one day. We have heat. The pilot was replaced and new equipment was used only when needed. I didn't feel overcharged. Our washing machine stopped working and that was also repaired on one of the visits to salvage our heater. You might have to make a reminder call to ask about the status of a part, but that seems due to this company having so much work that phone calls are a luxury. I'm happy that we found an honest person who knows a lot of things about household repairs. If you mention Yelp, you get a $35 discount. read more

When I send text messages they go unanswered and I have received no update on the timeline for return service. I was 100% swindled out of the $60 service fee. A company that can fix both an AC and a dryer issue in the same visit, and be honest about the services needed?!?! Yes, it does exist. Lassaad came to take a look at an AC line issue that had previously shut down my system. The HVAC specialist from another company quoted me a $3,000 plus repair to replace all of the lines, but Lassaad showed me where it was only a vinyl line that was clogging, and did cleaning to clear it out. I appreciate that he took the time to show me what the issue was, and the visible before-and-after was quite noticeable--haven't had an issue since! He then took a look at my washer and found where a part was broken. He had the replacement part in his vehicle and was able to repair it in about a half hour. A few weeks later, the drum was making a horrible noise during the spin cycle, so I called Lassaad again. He was flexible accommodating a last-minute schedule change, and gracious when I was a few minutes late meeting him for my appointment window when I got held up in traffic during a heavy downpour. He checked the spin cycle, and diagnosed that it was working fine and that the likely culprit was overloading the machine. Guilty as charged--I put too many towels in my tiny washer. Next two loads didn't have any issue. He wouldn't even let me pay him for his time, even though I tried twice. Overpriced and rude! The employee charged my wife about 3/4x the normal price of the fix. It was a replacement piece for our furnace that costs around $40 and it took them 15 minutes to install. They charged us over $300. I was away from the home and when I heard the price I couldn't believe it. I believe the employee pulled a fast one on my wife. When we called to complain the employee was rude and came up with a number of excuses for the up charge. He lied about the price of the item and said it was more expensive than what we saw online because he got it at a warehouse (shouldn't that make it cheaper?!) Eventually spoke with the office who offered around $100 off. I clear indication that they engaged in something nefarious. STAY AWAY- would not recommend to anyone EDIT IN RESPONSE TO LASSAAD: You are right, I checked with my wife and you originally charged us $389 and dropped the price to $250 after we called to complain. You never told her to send an estimate from another company. Would have gladly done that to keep you honest. And finally after further review, I was $20 off on the cost of the item. It was $60. Literally every single store offers it for $60 (ACE/Amazon/Home Depot/Lowe's) $389 was completely egregious and you knew it. EDIT #2 I've now received two written proposals. I'm sure that they are helpful to many people but I'm fairly sure that they are taking advantage of people. Thank GOD my mother was to intercede. They came out to give a diagnosis and the official diagnosis on the form was told is that the stovetop is broken. When they quoted me for the stove, my mother told them that it was more than the price of a new stovetop. He insured that she's wrong, so she pulled up an Amazon page showing dozens of stovetops that where more affordable than the repair. He also quoted me for a couple hundred more for the oven's ingnighter. When my mom asked why so much, he says that its an estimate since they don't know what type of ignighter they will need. She then told him that he is wrong to not tell me a diagnosis, then give me two quotes w/o even knowing the price of the pieces but instead give me what he thinks I will need. (Mind you, this sounds kind of reasonable to me, but I'm nit going against my mom in front of people). My mom is a strong woman that has over 40 years of owning multi-unit buildings and was not having any of it. Once he left my mom went to look at the stove and apparently I pushed one of the burners out of place (old stovetop). She pushed it back into place and it was fixed in less than 5 min. (My first home, so it didn't occur to me to take the cover off and fix it myself). Now I see why his only diagnosis was that the stovetop was broken. Not sure if I'm the exception, or if they take advantage of woman/people regularly; but as for me I think he saw a quick way of making money. I don't trust them. All that had to be done was for the burner to be pushed back into the spot giving gas. His diagnosis was purposefully vague. I also reverse searched the ingnighter and Google image identified the part for under 40 bucks. I gave two stars because they where quick to come out, but if you use them, make sure they are specific on what is wrong with your appliance; that they can give you a concrete reason as to what's wrong; then look online to match the price for what they quote you.
