Look, folks. I had to review. This is three wins in a row here. Duck wings. Benedict. And, today, a Rueben. The food is always delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive. I was afraid I was going to miss good food when I moved up from Sedona (You get spioled, you know?). Not at all worried now. This is the spot.

Very cozy and friendly. I had duck wings never see anywhere else. The taste was interesting and good. For the main course I had a pork chop it was delicious. I be returning to try different dishes.

Stopped at Aspen Perk while hiking in the area. Wanted to have a local flavor and found it on Yelp. It's called a bar and grill but menu and hours are geared to breakfast and lunch. Closes at 2PM. Menu is extensive but priced slightly above average. When food arrived we' were blown away at serving sizes. The cost was more than justified. Wonderful flavor accompanied large portions. Green chili was fantastic but has some bite. Highly recommend

Now open for dinner with an EXCELLENT menu and the food was fabulous!! Plus the drink menu looks fun as well! A must see for breakfast, Happy Hour and now dinner as well!!

Cute collie on the patio. You have to tie your sweeties up to prevent fights.

They were all nice enough and the food was good enough. I was dogsitting and the staff were all nice to the dog. You do have the hitch your dog to a ring so that everyone is assured that dogs don't fight. There's some weird business with the tap water not being very good, so they serve bottled water. I'm anti-plastic, so I refused that and asked for club soda instead. The breakfast was good enough to return. It is a bit too much food for me, and I prefer Conifer Cafe if you are not sure which restaurant to go to. They do have full service coffee bar, and it was nice to have a foamy cappuccino. I would return again for lunch.

They were busy but churning tables in and out. Limited parking is available in front but we did what most were doing, parked on the side of the road across from the restaurant. It was great to see how young people (teenagers and early 20 years olds) were working at this local spot. They were also doing an amazing job being attentive. We got the tea of the Tillman drink to soothe our thirst after a hike and the summer heat. It was tart but refreshing. I have never had a drink like it before. I highly recommend trying it. We ordered chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, and the mushroom omelette. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and came away full! If you're in the area around breakfast or lunch time, stop in. They have deserts and hand pies to-go. We didn't try them but they looked delicious.

Ours were slightly overdone, but still tasty. The ranch had a strong dill flavor, which I loved. I had the chicken Caesar pita with sweet potato fries and my husband had the club sandwich. Both were fantastic. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the Caesar dressing was bold and sharp. Our server was fantastic. She had just been sat with a table of ten but still took great care of us. She was attentive and somehow always had another soda ready for my husband before he even had to ask. The view from the back deck is beautiful. We saw several cranes and a huge red tailed hawk while we ate. Definitely worth the drive from Parker

There was availability inside immediately, but we opted to wait about 20 minutes for a patio table overlooking the reservoir, which was worth it on a nice day. Since it was our first visit, I asked our waitress for recommendations. I was between the walleye sandwich and chicken & waffles, and she ultimately steered me toward the chicken & waffles. It came with a large waffle, two pieces of fried chicken, honey butter, and maple syrup. The honey butter was really good, but I was expecting the chicken to have more seasoning and heat based on our server's description. Overall, it was solid and definitely scratches the chicken-and-waffles itch, but I don't think I'd order it again. I've had some outstanding versions elsewhere, so this one didn't quite stand out. I'd still come back to try some of the walleye options and enjoy the patio.

The only thing I didn't like as much was the hashbrowns, they were just okay. I also ordered the jalapeño bread French toast (recommended by our server). I love jalapeño flavor, but I remember thinking it sounded kind of weird for French toast... but I'm glad I tried it because it was so good. They make their breads in-house and I would definitely get that again. I also tried some of my friend's banana bread and that was really delicious too. Didn't get a chance to try these since we had to get to the hot springs soon so thought it's too much food to finish in time, but they had a French toast flight and a Benedict flight, which I've never seen before. Pretty cool, I love anything where you can try multiple flavors. Overall, would reccomend this brunch spot in Idaho Springs. Would come back!

Mine came with fries and hers came with eggs, choice of meat, choice of grits or potatoes, and choice of french toast/waffles/pancakes. Because of the aforementioned altitude sickness, I did not get to enjoy but a few bites of my sandwich there but had it later and find it to be a delicious, hefty sandwich. The fries were very good! I was jealous of my friends french toast as it looked delicious. She reported it was. As well as the bacon. Much like Idaho Springs itself, this is a cute spot. Definitely worth stopping in, as well as visiting the other businesses in their downtown area. Parking is scarce, but there is both a free parking lot, as well as paid street parking.
