Instead of doing the oil change properly, their technician chose to vacuum the oil out because removing the undercarriage cover would "take too long." We relied on their expertise and trusted they knew what they were doing. The car was driven a short distance after the service and seemed fine. The next morning, however, it started misfiring immediately and was clearly unsafe to drive. The vehicle remained parked until it could be evaluated, and was eventually towed to a certified mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed a missing camshaft seal and advised that this type of failure is consistent with improper oil extraction using suction equipment and would not occur during a standard oil change. We paid $613.79 in repairs, plus the original $97.95 oil change. We made multiple attempts to contact the shop (calls and email). Eventually, their claims manager called on 3/25/2026 and denied the claim solely because they didn't get to inspect the vehicle first ignoring the fact that the car was unsafe to drive and that we didn't even know they caused the issue until after a professional diagnosis and repair. At this point, it's not just about the damage, it's about accountability. Cutting corners for convenience caused real damage, and they've refused to take responsibility. We are now pursuing this through small claims court. Use caution. An oil change shouldn't result in engine damage.

Mark's Auto Service gets all the stars!…read more I've been on a road trip for three weeks now, and after a mishap with my wheel a couple weeks ago, I've been a bit paranoid and called Mark's shop to check out a new slightly burned rubber odor. His incredibly helpful daughter scheduled me for the following morning, and Mark stopped what he was doing to look at my car. Fortunately, nothing was wrong and he said it was probably the catalytic converter of either my car or a car ahead of me since we were hauling up a mountain on route 26. He even invited us to take a look under the car to see what happened after my wheel flew off a couple weeks before. His third party opinion that everything was good with the car, and echoing that the tires and rotor and all pieces were sound for the rest of my road trip was very encouraging. Plus, he and his daughter were just very kind people, and we chatted about life and family for a while afterwards. Highly recommend Mark's service! I saw Mark's Auto Service reviews and gave them a call. They immediately dropped what they were doing and performed a battery test. I was thinking out of stater, small garage I was looking at $200+. The battery test Mark assured me my battery was fine and my alternator was performing as expected. The problem he found was my FOB's battery. NO CHARGE! I decided this deserved a review. I called and scheduled an appointment for Tanner to come look at…read moremy windshield. I drove across country and something hit my windshield and cracked it. Tanner showed up and assessed my car in the driveway. I was inside and he called me when he arrived. I missed the call, but by the time I called him back he was done assessing my windshield. He was very honest and explained that he couldn't fill the crack and it would eventually just continue to crack. He gave me some pointers for prolonging the windshield and said I may get months out of it before it cracked more. I appreciated his honestly so much. I'll for sure call him back when it's time to get a new windshield. His visit and time was a free estimate. Very happy with this service.
