My internet service is an absolute travesty. The connection is excellent... when it works. Sadly, that's maybe 5% of the time. Not going to complain too much about the technical part of Wave...it's decent, not great but decent. Unfortunately trying to reach customer service is a major exercise in frustration. Mid-day Friday and I've been on hold for35 minutes trying to add a service! Have heard the same 3 recorded messages every 2 minutes during that time, and it has nothing to do with why I'm calling as they asked for that in advance. Absolutely horrible. Service always goes down. Recently our service was out for 4 days. When I called, they said they could send a technician in a week (a full week later!). Then I asked to speak to a supervisor, who told me that her system does not allow her to call a technician directly; that her only method of reaching a technician is via email. Garbage service and bad internet. They will not fix your trash internet either so don't bother calling or asking.

We've had our WAVE broadband for a week now. It's fine except that the internet speed isn't as advertised. With the 3Mbps/1Mbps Down/Up package we get 2.8Mbps/.7Mpbs Down/Up. Before the install they said that their speeds are right on the mark and that they can tweek them to get it right. We know we can pay more for faster speed but don't like being given a sales pitch that's not completely honest. We were also promised phone features and an install price, but the local rep didn't follow through. Fortunately, the installation person was nice enough to notice the error and correct it. The phone features were a few days late. We still haven't received our welcome packet so can't log into our account. Overall, the hardware install went fine, and the service has been steady and reliable. The negatives are with the customer service. read more

The worst on so many levels that it would take me way too long to explain in detail. Starting from not spelling my name correct (or ever fixing it as per my many requests) to internet going down DAILY do constant buffering on TV, to landline vmail ALWAYS being full so no one can leave a message, to the WORST customer service.... Maybe we should all sign a letter to Comcast requesting Xfinity be more prevalent in Auburn! I think we have enough people interested in town to draw their business here. read more

Worst service in history of mankind. Been on hold for almost two hours with nobody picking up. Work from home and internet does not work. I have had multiple phone calls with tech support, even had a technician come to house and now things are worse than they were before. Our home phone now has dial tone (which it didn't for months) but internet cant connect. The only thing improving is Wave's bank account as they keep jacking up prices. I am paying for multiple services that dont even work. Cable at least hasnt failed yet. Will be exploring all options. I am officially done with them!!! read more

Horrible picture quality. If you have a new, nice tv don't waste your money on wave. Goes down all the time. Like others say bill price goes up when they feel like it. There were four of us in the same building with it. All the same plan, not the same price and they kept dropping channels. And we didnt all have service at the same time. They have good download and upload speed but keep webpages cached for way too long. A changed webpage may not show changes for a couple of days, a real problem when your business is website design. This is enough of a flaw for me to suggest to anyone who plans to use this access for website related business to look elsewhere. read more

I've been,getting charged upwards of $100 a month for their $69.95 a month internet only package. In getting charged at least $50 a month for data. I can't possibly be going over my limit. Internet is much better than AT&T when it works. However the cable is another story. Unreliable service. Constant interruptions in service. Customer service is a nightmare to get through, and frankly so are the reps. They say a 20 min wait time, which has turned into over an hour after hanging up and listening to a warped tape of horrible music the whole time which I think they do on purpose. Also no way to find out about outages and wait times. Fees continue to rise almost monthly. We need to get them out of Auburn and find a reliable service which is better than what we pay Wave. read more

I didn't have a problem with the service from Wave, but their customer service is atrocious. They are rude and crass. I finally went with another company because of their lack of customer service and when I called to cancel my service I was treated so rudely and with disrespect. I had to call three times because they put you on hold and never return. When I asked if someone could pick up their equipment, I was told there would be a 50.00 charge for a technician to stop by and pick it up and I needed to return it within 14 days or be charged for it. I see trucks drive by all the time and they can't arrange for one to stop by when they are in the area? She could have just told me that wasn't possible and asked me to return it to their local office. She didn't need to threaten me. So disappointed in Wave. read more

Because they are "no contract," they are free to raise rates and add fees at will - which they do CONSTANTLY. Our fees have been increasing steadily, while the service gets worse if anything. Trying to find something else right now, just wish there were more options in this area. Of course, if there were, Wave probably would be out of business. read more

If you want shit internet speeds, internet that constantly goes down when they leave the office for the day at 5, then this company is the way to go. Never fails that the internet goes down daily around 5-6 pm, and it goes down intermittently during the day as well. If you can get att internet go with that. I have no where else to share this. Wave internet is very good. However their online customer service "ticket" system does not work. U get an error message. And I have. Even on hold on the phone for 28 minutes and counting. This is first time I've needed customer service and am so disappointed. Bottom line. Better to spend a little more and go with a company that has better customer service ratings. There are six that I have fond while on hold with wave. Ow 30 min and waiting btw. Gonna give up now. Well the time has come for us to part. After many years here in Auburn with cable TV, now "Wave Cable Services" these past many years, about 30 plus. In all that time these last six years have been the worst in regards to value. In reviewing my history and invoices I see that I have received nine price increases and one decrease (for two months, than increased again). I am on and have always been on their very minimal plan : "Core/bundle & expanded content service". No movies, no internet, no phone, no extras not even a box or high def setup. I am paying $96.03 each month for just old plain run of the mill TV. WHY?.. I called two years ago to talk to an agent and they said I was not on any "program" that would lower my bill but it required me to take "other" fees and or accessories ?? I don't want to pay more! Do you get it? I am just done with them. You would think they would review my account and offer a simple plan for us that just want normal local shows, main channels. NOPE! All they could do is quote how they are getting increases and must pass it on to their customers. NINE times in six years??? Right! Well AT&T, my DSL internet and long term (40 + years phone services "SBC") came in and showed me their NEW Directv service and for two years I will pay HALF of what cable has been charging me for years! Yes I get four rooms free and can move the receivers anywhere around the house, watch TV on my iphone, or tablet here or across the county and get unlimited data forever! Talking about forever, It took me forever to leave Wave.. My Bad! I tried to stick with them as you can see, but it was always a one way conversation. Even after the two years contract with AT&T, the amount the service will go up will still be less than what Wave has been charging me, (almost sounds criminal doesn't it?) And to top it all off, I get way more channels! I am not going into this new service without some experience using Direct, my older son had it for two years with little complaints. So starting Monday Aug, 2016 I will "CUT" the tie. My family is jazzed as now everything will be digital and clear and they also threw in NFL Sunday ticket for a year. My boys think I'm cool now. I think Wave had every opportunity, even at the country fairs visiting their booth, to make it right for this long term customer. I don't know... An absolutely awful company in every respect. They pulled a bait and switch on me by claiming a free month in their ad and then when the installation guy came, he demanded a $20.00 setup fee. Then, to my bafflement, they didn't even honor the free month agreement and I received a bill in the mail for the first month. My experience with their internet connection was equally terrible. The first day after installation I couldn't connect for more than 10 minutes at a time. A guy came out and replaced my modem, but even after that I was plagued by inconsistent speed and latency. This company provides inferior service and will nickel and dime you at every turn. read more

I am seriously disappointed in the quality of tech support this company provides. I started out with the low end of internet service, still high speed but the low end none the less. I have since upgraded to their 110+ and 1TB of data transfer package, lets just say I am less than impressed with the upgrade. First lets start with the fact that on every single speed test on the internet I am getting low 20's, sometimes even less than that (low 10's). I have had techs out to my house multiple times, First time: tech comes out and trys to tell me that it was all the routers fault, because I had a router that wouldn't support those speeds... (I was taking speed tests straight from the modem). While he was here he managed to delete the Modem not the Router from the account so he had to put the modem back onto the account. Of course he couldn't do it himself so he had to call into someone at the office, no one answered for a good 20 minutes. When he finally got the right gear assigned to my account, he showed me a speed test that got 90+mbps. I was okay with that. I knew he wasn't right about the problem, But whatever. Maybe it was a fluke in the system, i know these things happen.. (father has worked for comcast for 30 years). So as soon as he leaves the internet stops working all together, I call into tech support and they have no idea whats going on. Finally they get someone semi-competent on the phone who states that I have no modem assigned to my account.... ARE YOU SERIOUS???!!! NO MODEM!!! Whatever again... I then get everything hooked back up and run a speed test, not on their speed test, but on EVERY SINGLE OTHER SPEED TEST ON THE INTERNET, and I get low 20's.. AGAIN. the phone tech tells me he will be able to get someone out here the next day (because they messed up) but our time window would be between 9am and 8pm. Whatever, we stream all our entertainment so I said Fine, I need to get this fixed ASAP! I have my fiance wait around the house all damn day until this joker finally shows up, he tells my fiance that it was the splitter @ the wall that was causing the issue, He replaced the splitter and told her it was an extremely powerful splitter.. I get home, run some speed tests and get the same speeds as before, this mans magical splitter fixed nothing.. I immediately call tech support who tells me they will have someone come out again ASAP with a little bit of a better time window 10am and 5pm. I obviously agree because i need to get it fixed. I make arrangements to be here so I can make sure the tech doesn't just make up some mumbojumbo to tell my fiance. The tech shows up right @ 5pm, comes in asks what the problem is and asks me to run a speed test. I did just that, on OOKLA Speed Test, I get in the 10's ... AGAIN.. The Tech then tells me I am doing it all wrong and that I need to be on their company speed test, I go to their website, test my speed and I get in the 90mbps range. At this point I am highly suspicious of this, beings that what would be the purpose of every single speed test on the internet if none of them reflected anything near to the correct speeds people were getting? I bring up to the tech that my xbox and my android box both lag and get slow speeds on speed tests. (This next part is a real crack up) He tells me that oh its the HDMI Cable that is slowing down the internet that is going into my TV!!!!!???? WHAT?? So I look at him and say. "Seriously?" you think there is an internet signal going from my box to the TV? Through the HDMI Cable? And This Is The Problem? This Is Why I Am Getting Lag When I Stream Shows And Movies??? He tells me " Yes exactly" At this point I know getting assistance from this guy is a lost cause, he just wants to shut me up by any means necessary so he can go home. I tell him how incorrect I know him to be and ask him to leave. This is where I have left the issue. I am contemplating going to another service or calling and talking to whoever is in charge. I know for a fact I need a new drop ran to my house, there is ingress in the line somewhere which is causing me to get spotty and sometime no connection to the internet, not to mention that the drop has been up there for 10+ years and is an RG6 cable, not the new standard RG11 cable used for obtaining high internet speeds. Look I don't know if Wave will read this or if this will have any affect, but it this helps one person to not take the terrible techs fairytale answer, than I am glad i wrote it! read more

Overall, my internet service is decent but the customer service makes using Wave such a hassle that I'd prefer to use another provider if I had the option. Earlier in the year I moved, and for several months I was charged for service at both addresses, despite having officially made the change ahead of time, and receiving confirmation from Wave that it was all good to go. It took a couple weeks of me repeatedly emailing Wave before I finally received a response stating that I would be charged for the router I exchanged on the day I switched addresses, because they didn't have a record of me returning it, even though the tech took it with him. After another long period of no communication I received a check refunding my double payments, and no word on the router I returned. Now, since Wave updated their website I no longer have access to my account because it requires the PIN on my latest bill, which I haven't received either physically or electronically for the last month. And, not shockingly, my multiple emails have gone un-answered for several weeks so I have no idea what's happening with my payment. I've tried calling several times as well but usually give up around minute 45 of being on hold. I'm really unhappy with the service that I've received and I strongly recommend that anyone who has the option to, uses another provider. read more

Customer service with attitude (Dana specifically) called with an issue (no signal) and she gave me 3 different answers after she told me "they didn't know when it would be working again." Raised her voice at me and was not the person that wave should be having handling "tech" issues. System wide outage on one of the biggest tv days of the year and still had to wait 40 mins on hold before I got to talk to a lovely happy person(NOT!) ! Wouldn't recommend WAVE at all. Unfortunately I can't get Direct TV where I'm at so I'm stuck. BEWARE!!!! read more
