Food is good! But the only inconvenience is cash only!! No one carries cash now a days. I woke up one day on a day off went for breakfast. Thru the drive thru and had to park after to go in and use the ATM.In pajamas. Big in convenience. I think they should add ATM credit services or post big signs that read no ATM or Credit card taken here! read more

First I'll get the negatives out of the way. I always get one cashier there and she is not friendly at all. Eh. And then they don't take cards so I always have to have cash. Another Eh. They know they don't have to accept cards and people will come anyway. But anyways, I will overlook that because this is my favorite fast food burger ever. I tried em all. JIms, the hat, tops, t burgers , in and out etc etc. So anyways, I also tried the breakfast, veggie burgers, burritos , blts. All good and pretty cheap. This place has the best chicken salad and chicken plate with fries. Two people can easily share either. They have a cool retro vibe with small jukeboxes at every table. They actually work, most places they are always out of order. Best pastrami's also. The only down side is they only accept cash, although they do have an atm machine to get cash but don't forget they charge a fee so does your bank. read more

Just had the Frisco Burger and it is just as good as I remember it years ago! My husband had the Avocado Burger and he agrees that my burger was better :) The french fries were a bit on the stale side but the onion rings were fresh & hot. Don't like the fact that you can only use cash and I know there's an ATM machine in there, but come on what year is it??? read more

Decent place near my home, I did enjoy the burger and fries I got. Everything was made well and fresh. However, it's almost like eating at Arry's, which I like better and cost less. A good place to try once in a while, but a bit pricy. read more

No, no, no, no!! Where are the ladies that used to work here?! Seems staff changed and now I have to, EVERY time, ask for an additional container of dressing for my grilled chicken salad :( The salad is pretty big and 2 is just not enough for me (I love my dressing, so...) also, I used to get 4 of the crackers for my salad, now I only get 2 and have to always request an additional one. So disappointing. The ladies that used to work here would offer a free seasoned grilled chili which was absolutely delicious and were always so generous with the crackers and dressing. read more

Owner is getting cheap. Orders for zuchini fries are 3. 99 and they only give you half the amount they used too. I order a hamburger with no tomato because i have allergies and they give me TWO!!!! They really need to hire more people who speak english. I speak spanish and they all pretend to ignore you. read more

This place is pretty good. I've been coming here since I left the farm and came to the city many years ago. The hamburgers and fries are pretty good and not overly expensive. The menu, however, is not as expansive as the Hollywood location. Further, the cashiers at the East LA location rally do not speak very much English. I was in line recently and the couple in front of me ordered extra tomatoes. The cashier turned around and told the cook not to include tomatoes. I ordered in Spanish to avoid getting lost in translation. However, not a bad place if you're bilingual. read more

I will start by saying I have been to Astro Burger locations before, the last one being in Hollywood near Paramount studios. With this in mind, my wife and I decided Astro burger sounded pretty good. This was this past Thursday night, Jan. 28. We looked the menu over and it seemed reasonably priced so by phone we ordered a steak sandwich platter special, fried zucchini, an avocado burger and a chocolate shake. I estimated our bill to be about $20-$23. When I got there and picked up my food, my bill was just shy of $30.00. WHAT?! WOW! I asked if everything was there and went down the list of my order and was assured again I had it all. I got home and the zucchini sticks were so oily the bag they were in left oil rings on the table. My avocado burger was to have 1,000 island dressing, NOT MAYO, as I hate mayo. The 1,000 dressing was mayo. It completely ruined my burger. The steak sandwich plate was to have onion rings, fries, and a salad. No salad, though we did get the dressing. What? For $30 I should have a salad. The fries and onion rings were pretty bland and the chocolate shake was weird tasting. I have to say that this was one of the worst meals I have had. I eat in Montebello all the time, and have experienced nothing like this. It was just terrible. I will not be going to this place ever, ever again. I don't care to spend that much money on a horrible meal. Eat at your own risk. read more

Just left this place and was disappointed. We went and used their drive thru which was not working so the girl had to come out to take our order. We waited quite some time to only end up getting half of our oder. The staff was confused as to how the miscommunication had occurred and all they could say was, "That was all that was written down." I continually told the girl what the correct order was and all I would get was that it wasn't taken down. I became frustrated and just took half of my order. I was disappointed with their service and I really have enjoyed my previous experiences at Astros. After today, I will not be a regular. read more

I used to go to school right behind it and almost every day before going home or for breakfest I would get an order of Fries.. HANDS DOWN THE BEST BURGER IN THE WORLD!! I have been comiong here since I was like 2 yrs old. This use ot be a meeting spot for my Family back in the day. The corner booth in the back is a staple and my seat when I come here. The juke bozes in everybooth is still awesome till this day. The fires are fresh and HUGE. The burgers are fresh and juicy and charbroiled! This place hase been around since way back in the early 70's if not earlier I know the owner and he is awesome, this location is the original location I believe. Love the veggie burgers and you can order them on wheat bread. They also have some really yummy zucchini fries.

I often pass this little restaurant on my way to work, but for years, I never ate there. Long story short I finally had the chance to try it, so I popped in. Boy, was I not disappointed. The interior is that of a retro 50's diner, possibly Italian American themed (dew wop music, Italian photography in the place, mafia hanging outside... just kidding on the last one). Bathroom was kind of dirty, but that is usually expected in places like this. The menu is very similar to other small Mexican American diners you find in Southern California. Seeing how it was breakfast time, I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito, as I haven't eaten a decent one since high school. They cooked it fresh and fast, and the homemade salsas they have complimented it very well. Price was a little high for what the food was, but not too high where it'll prevent me from visiting again, especially since now I know how fast the service is. Try it once if you're in the area, I'm sure the food will bring you back. Bring cash only, or use the ATM in the restaurant. -------------------------------- Recently I came back and tried the chili cheese fries. They were the best chili cheese fries I've had in a long time...I think only Tommy's has better chili cheese fries. I was around the area and decided to give this place a try, I loved how they decorated inside for the holidays very beautiful! I ordered French toast with bacon and eggs.
