It was time for a phone upgrade. I mean heck, how can I continue to make these insightful and helpful reviews with an old phone So we popped in for the upgrade. It took about 10 mins for anyone to even approach us to add us to the waiting list. Finally someone did and we waited. And waited and waited. After a long wait we were finally called. We met with Isa. He was very friendly and helpful. We asked about a particular phone and promotion and were told the phones were not in stock and would have to be shipped to us. No problem. We went through the upgrading process and after he looked at our plan, he said he'd check just in case there were some phones in stock. What do you know, they suddenly had some. This is actually by far the worst store I've ever been to. It's not like AT&T is ever actually helpful but I spoke to an employee on the phone about how my screen was cracked and bleeding, they told me to make a claim when I expressed that all the days that they had were out of workable time frame for my job they said I could walk in. My phone ended up completely blacked so I went to the store 2 hours before closed and asked for help. They told me they can't do anything without a claim. I expressed I don't have a computer to do so at home and I need my phone for work. I asked if it's possible for them to even look at the phone and he said not without a claim. There were 3 employees standing around. I ended up having to go pay 170 at the mall to get it fixed when I have insurance with AT&T!! This isn't the first time I've had a poor experience. My roommate came here one time to upgrade her phone and the employee was so unhelpful and rude she decided to just forget it! I didn't receive the email so I called in to the store and they said they didn't get anything and then I overheard someone say to another person that those are my phones and that other person said no it's mine. Next, he said ups didn't mail it to you? I said no, I am doing a pickup at your location. He said he doesn't have anything. We hung up and I went online to check the status, it showed cancelled and I called in the AT&T and the customer support person said that the store cancelled your order and it doesn't give a reason. I have to start this review off by saying that I've been a loyal ATT customer for many years. From having their UVERSE service to now their cellular plans. Last week I received my brand new iPhone 13 pro in the mail. Upon setting up the device I noticed there was an issue with the screen. I took it in the very next day and asked if I could get an exchange ordered because of the damage/defect. The response of the floor staff and then the manager Greg was that this was Apples problem and not on ATT. I totally understand that a defect comes from Apple, but as ATT being the one who sent me the phone and my carrier it makes ZERO SENSE why they couldn't take care of me, order a new one, and then have a system with apple to repair their own phones that ATT has taken ownership of. Thank god the apple store is across the way in the mall (unfortunately it's so busy with the holidays), because I took it in and was able to get the screen replaced that day. Overall, ATT you can do much better. I'm happy that Apple was able to take care of me, but the fact that you handed me off was pretty disappointing. I think most can agree that having to go to your cell phone carrier for anything is usually a nightmare. However, our experience at the AT&T Brea was the complete opposite. Jack has handled a few of my basic problems from the get go and created a very seamless process. A few weeks back I had asked him about helping me with my in-laws. With them both being In their 70s we wanted to not have them come in. He gave me a step by step process but it went horrible..... nothing to do with Jack or his process. I later brought my in-laws in and Jack was beyond professional and really took everything into consideration with regards to Covid. We rarely have had to wait a long time, even as walk-ins. Usually faster than the time we are quoted. Salesman added a new phone line for $60 per month, a new phone (that we did NOT purchase) with an activation fee, two "Next Up" $5 monthly fees, all without telling us or getting permission. After finding out in a Summery email, we contacted the store manager - it took 3 days for her to call us back. She said she would take care of all the mistakes, but she didn't. As usual, a crap experience at an AT&T store. Long wait for no apparent reason... Okay until we had 2 high pressure sales people trying to rob us. It is incredible that the phone support people tell a completely different story. Today, our visit was to get a magic black SIM for first responders... So rather than five us the SIM were went for, they said they need to cancel our service, close out the billing, which will cause the payment plans to cancel and come due, then sign up for new plans. Going from $20/line to $45/line. The other thing we went for is to upgrade from an S8 to S10... But they didn't want to talk about that, they wanted the commission for activations of new service plans. We just cleaned up our account, and allegedly AT&T is investigating... We have 2 phones and an iPad... But we being billed for 15... 15 lines of service. Every time we upgraded devices they started a new line of service, and kept the old line active but hidden behind promotional credits... Until last month it exploded and we received an $874 bill. Now we are back down to $136 for 2 phones with a payment plan and an iPad service. And they wanted to cancel those lines and start new lines, for $25/line more. read more

It was an exhausting day! My son lost his phone, been on the phone with ATT all day! Eventually, I had to give in and use a temporary phone until his replacement arrives next week. Walked into the Brea store and was greeted right away by Jerry. He sat me down and got things rolling real quick. He helped me set up my son's account and got us a new SIM card. The process was hassle free and super easy. The store was modern and well stocked with phones and accessories. They had plenty of staff ready to assist customers when needed. This location was easy to find and had plenty of parking. Excellent customer service provide to me today. It made the entire exhausting process of getting a new phone much better. *This is a two part review for the AT&T customer service hotline, and the AT&T Brea (Imperial Hwy) branch. Purchased a new iPhone here some two and a half years ago because of there incredible BOGO offer. Little did we know we were about to be taken for a arduously pain-staking ride. After the first two months, our BOGO credit had unforeseeably dropped off our account and to our dismay, had to phone AT&T's absolutely horrendous customer service line. As persistent as I am however, I bit the bullet and made the call... unfortunately, that call became one, two, five, seven separate calls after each one claiming that the issue was escalated and would be resolved promptly... So after a span of two years, over half-dozen calls (lasting roughly three hours each minimum), the customer service rep said they could absolutely do nothing for me, but to refer to the location I originally purchased the phone (with the BOGO offer). Needless to say we revisited that site and, AT&T customer service lived up to its reputation by making us wait over an hour to actually speak to a representative. At this point, we had (as patiently as we've been) reached our tipping point and exclaimed to the rep (Raphael) that our BOGO drop-off needed to be resolved. He proceeded to retreat to the back in order to discuss with his manager (I believe Isaiah) and informed us that the work order to resolve and reinstate the BOGO credits was approved and would submit the escalation ticket right away in order to receive our long awaited credits in the next two billing cycles. Now with Raphael and Isaiah's reassurance that the issue would be taken care of, we left with hope that AT&T actually cared about us as loyal customers... sadly to say, two months later, no credits appeared. I then proceeded to make a courtesy call to Isaiah informing that nothing had happened, who then continued to reassure me that he would check on it and suggested we wait another two cycles for the credits to appear... Another two cycles later, nothing. At this point we should have received an award for being the world's most patient AT&T customers, so I emailed and called Isaiah's line yet again. Seemingly surprised that nothing had happened, he yet again reassured and this time guaranteed that the credits would show up IN FULL, and low and behold... we saw a credit, just took another six months; However, here's the kicker, we only received a little over half of the total BOGO credit. At this point, simply shocked and utterly appalled, I proceeded to email/ phone Isaiah to follow up on his guarantee, and left a voicemail. No reply... proceeded yet again a few days later and thankfully was able to catch him; However, indicated that he was currently with a customer and would check up and get back to me regarding the new issue. After waiting patiently for almost a week, I received no return call. I emailed and called yet again, but no answer. So another email was sent... and to my relief I see a reply, not informing the status and resolution of my issue, but a courtesy email stating that he no longer worked at the AT&T Brea branch and was stationed elsewhere, and proceeded to state that Raphael would now be assisting me. Completely left high and dry, I unbelievably had to initiate the communication with Raphael who mind you was cc'ed in the entire email chain! No reply. Called and sent an email again... no reply. Appears my years of loyal business make no difference to AT&T, so here I am now, cheated out of my rightful BOGO offer, and no way to even receive decent customer service regarding. I'm about this close to switching to their competitor... AT&T if you value your customers, please resolve this issue. read more

The in-store experience was excellent when we went into this store to get our apple watch lines cancelled and see what we can do to get our bill lowered. But later when we received our new bill, it was close to $100 more than what we were originally paying. We basically got hustled by the worker Jessica into setting up 2 additional phone lines to help "lower" our bill but instead we were played. I'm pretty sure the workers get paid a commission for signing up new lines. Also she originally told us that to cancel our apple watch lines we would have to call to cancel because they can't do it in-store, but after adding the two lines she said "oh my manager went ahead and got those lines cancelled for you. Another lie told to us by Jessica because on our bill our watch lines still remain. I was able to email her with her work email that she provided, she replied and said she would remove the activation fees we got charged and "would let me know when it's done", never heard back from here. Called into the store multiple times and never received a callback and none of the workers offered to help. This experience put such a bad taste in our mouth regarding AT&T as a whole. read more

Not that difficult of a request, yet she still manage to order the wrong colors and not switch my plan over at all. What arrived was two gold and a white. My data plan also stayed the same. If I didn't double check my account, I would have been charged an overage fee. Would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

I recently had to go to the AT&T store in Brea, Ca. I purchased a pair of AirPods which were not connecting to my new IPhone 13 pro max. A team of AT&T advisors tried their very best to connect my AirPods to my iPhone. But to no avail . So I went to the Apple store since the AirPods were still under warranty. I did not receive the customer service I thought I would from Apple. The Apple rep sent me back to the AT& T store in Brea, stating there was nothing he could do. I then explained my situation to the store manager at AT&T . She was extremely nice and understood, she then had Chris helped me with my AirPods. Because this was a rare situation, Chris gladly replaced my AirPods and connected them to my iPhone 13 pro max. He was so professional and very customer service oriented. I came here two separate times. The first time was for an upgrade and Anel helped me. She was great and very helpful and quick, out of all the times I have visited an ATT store I had never been in and out so quickly. The second time I had to come back to turn in my old device and Jonathan assisted me and unfortunately I cannot say the same for him. The whole interaction was awkward and he seems so unhappy to be there and frustrated with the whole encounter as a whole. I work in customer service so I know how retail is and there can definitely be some bad days but to take it out on your customers and to make your customers presence feel unwanted is unprofessional and unfortunately that is the vibe I got from him. I have had nothing but wonderful service here. I came in to figure out a technical issue with my phone and both Kobe and Moriya gave attentive and thorough customer service. My wait time wasn't very long and this was including the fact that the store was very busy. My phone had an issue that I thought would result in me getting a new phone. Not only did Moriya fix the issue on my phone but she helped me with a technical issue with a new laptop I purchased wich had nothing to do with my phone. I would say she went abuve and beyond. The next week I went in to exchange some earbuds I bought and the manager let me swap without the packageing due to the fact that it was ripped to shreds. All I had to do was submit my recipt.. Easy!
