Cancelled their plan, took back but refunded us for our recently purchased phones, then after being at the store for over 5 hour... YES 5 hours, told us they needed $1300 to activate our phones and they can't give us our phones back because they were already inventoried. I've worked in customer service for years, and this was the worst ever. Not that they were rude... they were just liars, and totally incompetent. Don't go to AT&T... and if you do, avoid the Brea store. read more

Roughly two months ago, I went to the Brea retail store in order to become an AT&T Wireless customer. Leydi Sanchez was very very helpful. In my personal opinion, Leydi Sanchez is the number one employee at the Brea retail store. Absolutely worthless of a store! My phone broke and I have insurance which was confirmed with AT&T but it didn't show it on the insurance end of it. So 6hrs later after talking asurion and AT&T employee's no one helped me! This happened on Thursday and here I am sitting in the store on Saturday still without a working phone because no one knows how to help me get a new phone thru the insurance! If I could give negative stars, I would. This store only exists to sell you products, not to give customer service or to be helpful in any way. You cannot return equipment there or turn off service. They will tell you to go somewhere else to turn in modems (Fed-ex) and call a number to cancel service. They themselves, cannot due to low functioning brains. If you forgot you password, they will not help you to change it or retrieve it, they hold your account hostage. There is NOTHING they will do to give good personable customer service. They are only there to sell you crap and make money. If you want to connect with the world, don't use ATT. You're better off making a fire and sending smoke signals. read more

ZERO STARS. The worst att experience ever. Went in the store spent $1000 on a phone just for jonanathan g to order the WRONG color, when I told him the exact color I wanted multiple times. He then brings out the phone I want with more storage and tries to up sell me to spend $1100 and gets an attitude when I say, no thanks. Also, I called the att store to return the iphone, I didn't want, and darian said only Jonathan can help me, which is zero help. And I don't want Jonathan g to handle my order anymore but even when I call, I can't even speak with him, he's not there or he's busy. So, it's been a week and still don't have my phone. When you spend a $1000 on a phone and don't get what you want is horrible service. I'd stay away from this place 1000%. Phone buying is not supposed to be so complicated. Just send me the right phone is that so hard? I will take my business somewhere else next time. And I'm Considering just getting a refund and just going somewhere else. I am so sorry for the managers and the owners of this location for they must fire everyone in this store. Never had I had such a horrible experience and it went on for so long. Came in just to check on a phone I was trying to purchase but ended up spending almost 2 hrs just for it to be my turn. YES you read that right, two hours just to get to my turn. Mind you there was only 3 other customers ahead of me but for the most part I saw lazy employees and that's why I started this review with the owner or a manager needed new employee. First guy I noticed was on his tablet for 20 mins before I approached him and his answer was that he is almost off and he can't help me but he was on this tablet for 20 mins getting paid doing nothing? What a waste Second guy I approached and said what is taking so long and he said just to wait if not then I should call att customer service and have them help me out. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Now it's almost close to an hour that's I've been waiting soooo I've notice there was another employee taking to this customer for a good minutes whom were next to me so i started to listen to their conversation. Little did I know this was guy flirting with this woman and that's why it's taking him such a long time. What a waste of a employee Now it's been close to an hr and half and after asking if I will ever be served, a woman finally helped me out. I also wrote this review while waiting the entire time and while I was there two other customers saw how pissed I was and they came to let me know that this store has been like this for a while now and that they always have this problem. To the owner or manager reading this, I highly suggest you get motivated employees who are willing to work harder and faster just so they can get to each customer faster. She was so pleasant, helpful and just a breath of fresh air she was definitely a true representation of perfect customer service and made me so very happy that I chose to drop into that particular AT&T before grabbing dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. This is my local AT&T and we've been going to them for years. But last week I needed help with two of our phones. The first was taken care of by replacing a damaged SIM card. Then wanted to switch my husband's service to a used phone we already had. Girl said in 2/22 that phone would no longer be supported by AT&T. So I left. Later I found out the phone WILL be supported. Went back two days later and was told they can't help me because it has to be longer than 48 hours between visits. What?! So we checked Yelp and found the Fullerton store at State college and Chapman had better reviews. Went there and had outstanding service from a young man named Jared. He confirmed that our phone was fine to use and set everything up. Plus, he had never heard of the 48 hour waiting period. Jared now has all our future business. read more

Ten 15 minutes later they will get your name up in their list and to will be through the worst experience almost like buying a car. Brought in a phone that AT&T had sent to replace a 3G phone. Employee explained they could not extract data from the sim card it was too old. Told her "never mind" needed to figure out how to download contacts and calendar off of the phone before activating the new phone. She did not listen and activated new phone. Old phone is locked up and have to input into new phone by hand - cannot get to old phone calendar. She refused to deactivate new phone and reactivate old phone. read more

Ive been here for three occasions. Once to get u-verse, another time to buy a phone, and most recently to cut the cord on cable. Every time was helpful. G, D, and J helped me out. They got me deals that the customer service couldn't. They also were able to fix my plan by calling their internal customer service line. Recently there was a promo to turn you old iPhone in and receive a $200 gift card. My first visit I was told there was no such promo. I called AT&T customer support and they said yes that promo was still going on. On my second visit to this store, I was told that I had to spend at least half of the gift card in the store immediately on an accessory or I could not leave the store with the gift card. I called At&T customer support and they said this was not true. So I had AT&T customer support call the store and verify that when I went there the third time they would not lie and try to scam me. They still tried but I was able to get my $200. The employees and managers of this store should be rounded up and pelted with rotten fruit and vegetables. They are liars and scammers who prey on innocent people. I know they will get their comeuppance. I hope I hear about it. Why can't I give 0 stars? 1 star implies they did something useful which would be untrue. In fact I should be able to give -2 stars cause they suck that much. read more

Just switched carriers to ATT so this is more of a review for this location rather than the actual service. Demitri and Moriya(?) was great in helping me make my decision to switch and ran me through the best options for me. Not only did I end up getting new phones but I ended up saving a lot of money monthly. Finally, I realize why AT&T is the worst carrier in US, today. I went to this store to activate my girl friend's factory sealed new unlocked iphone 4s. She was using a Sony Ericsson feature phone with normal size SIM card and we need a new micro SIM card for the new phone. Several friends are sharing a family plan under my phone number. I remember the representative helped (if not otherwise) today is "Blanca". First, she asked me the my phone number and my ID. And then, she just proceeded the activation without asking which number we want to use on that iphone. When she told me just press the bottom and sign, I told her it's not my number which will be on the iphone. She told "that's why I asked you the phone number" in a very impatient way. OK, we might had some misunderstanding at this point. She then took the iphone and teared off the screen protection film without asking (again). Frankly, I was stunned by her action. The only thing she had to do was to plug in micro SIM card and show us the home screen. But teared off the screen protection film without asking??? I don't think that's necessary. OK, we might be too picky about this. But at least ask before doing something, especially for the factory sealed new product. After she showed us the home screen, she told us we were all set, again in an impatient way. I asked her that I want to add data plan to the new iphone. She told me that's unnecessary because when the system detected that it's an iphone, the data plan will be added automatically. To be honest, I know that AT&T requires every iphone with a data plan on their system. But, at least she needs to tell me before we leave. It's not free. She didn't even ask what data plan we want. 15$ for 250 MB or 25$ for 2GB?? She just added the 2GB plan without asking. I'm already not happy with the service of AT&T as a carrier. Their 3G network is slow and never works in some place (like Union square). The service in the retail store is even worse!! If I have a choice to give them a zero star, I will do it without hesitation. read more

Came twice to trade in my current iPhone 4s because I've called AT&T customer service many times to confirm that the store is able to credit the trade in to your bill. Store won't let me use it towards the bill and gave me attitude. Going back and forth with AT&T customer service on the phone and the sales reps in stores and customer service reps on the phone state the store is able to credit the trade in amount to your bill. Store will only let you use it on tablets and accessories that you have to pay additional for. The lack of policy and communication between their departments is so bad, never coming here again. I went to this store to trade in my old iPhone and redeem a gift card per AT&T's trade in promotion. I spoke with the manager Jessica who claimed you can only purchase accessories and tablets with the promotional funds and they have to be spent immediately within the store. I showed her very clearly the terms and conditions of AT&T's promotion on their own website; specifically that the terms state you can bring your phone to a retail AT&T store and you will receive a $200 promotional card good for AT&T products, services, and wireless bill. No joke, she said, "well, the website also says our store hours are 10 - 9pm, but that's not correct either." I asked her where her supposed policy of "accessories and tablets purchased immediately" is stated, and she kept saying, "that's proprietary information". Even though I showed her the explicit terms on AT&T's own corporate website, she refused to budge. Avoid this store. read more

I have never felt so attacked and disrespected by an employee at any store, ever! Daisy was an absolute aggressor, who gave me major attitude because I did not understand what it was that she was "trying" to explain to me. I told her the attitude was not necessary and asked to speak to a manager. Whispering in the back of the store with another associate was very professional. The manager (Moraya, or another M name) was equally as rude while explaining the issue to me. It shouldn't matter if I asked for them to explain it to me 10 times, as an associate that is your job to help the customer. Rude is an understatement. read more

I don't leave reviews, but my experience at this store with Mohammad Isa was terrible. I left the store feeling I would never switch to at&t if I had to deal with someone like him. I went into the store to gather information about at&t plans. I just wanted the basic information and the person "helping me," Mohammad Isa, was dismissive, arrogant, and seemed reticent to provide me that info. Mohammad said that without knowing anything about me he can't help me. Why do you need to know how much I pay for my current plan, why do you need to know what I do for work? It's none of your business, you are a stranger. I do not give out personal information to strangers. And If I don't want to give that information, it should not affect the service that you provide. Is this how they train their workers? T-mobile and Verizon has much better people working for them. read more

After the better part of a year, the story finally has an ending, and ironically the credit promised had been issued for months, they just either weren't looking in the right place, their system wasn't updated, they lied, or a combination of the above. It shouldn't take a working professional making a part time job out of making them honest to get something settled which is cut and dry. Any time I see a commercial or have a chance to recommend service, AT&T holds a special place in my heart. They email me incessantly to get TV service added, and while it might be a slightly better deal I'd rather keep things the way they are. WHATEVER YOU DO, STAY AWAY FROM CHELSEY!!! AT&T's customer service could use a major change. My parents have had extremely negative experiences here by the same salesgirl, Chelsey (could be Chelsea). First my mom went in to have her contacts transferred from her old phone to her new phone. Chelsey was helping her do this but as she was doing it, she kept talking about new AT&T promotions incessantly. My mom was trying to listen but was trying to make sure this girl was doing the transfer correctly. Of course while she was talking, Chelsey deleted all of my mom's contacts instead of transferring them. My mom had important doctor contacts and addresses and was told by Chelsey's supervisor that nothing could be done anymore but that he noted her complaint against Chelsey. OK so you would think she would be trained better or fired, but no. My dad went in a year later, just this past April, and Chelsey was there. My dad didn't realize this was the same salesgirl 'cause otherwise he would've asked for someone else. He went in to get my sister a new phone but Chelsey talked my dad into getting the AT&T security system. My dad only agreed to get it because she said that he would only pay $20/month. Of course, she lied. The rate was more like $64/month. My dad called Chelsey and she said she was sorry but she couldn't get my dad the promised rate. My dad called AT&T and even the sales representatives there said that Chelsey lied and that no one can get that deal with them. I'm surprised that they didn't give my dad a better deal knowing that their own sales people are lying. But we are definitely going to go back to this location to complain to her supervisor in person. read more

I have mixed feelings about this store. So we came in November to upgrade my husband's iPhone to a 4s, and of course, they were out of stock. It was to be expected though, and we were just fine with ordering it. The phone came in VERY quickly (as in, I think it took 3 days total?) and everything was super easy at the store. No crowds, etc. Fast forward to this weekend, and it's time for me to upgrade. We were stupid in thinking that Saturday would be easy, but we took a chance. We signed in at the front, and waited about a half hour. We finally get called, and we find out that the iPhone 4s in white is out of stock till Monday. I say that's fine--I'll just order it. We go through pretty much the ENTIRE upgrade process, and then it comes time to pay. Here's something you guys probably don't really know. If you order a phone (online OR in the store), you can't split tender. In my sitch, I had a stupid Visa gift card that mostly, I just really wanted to get rid of for reasons like this. So I tell the guy I want to do this much on this card, and the rest on another card. Nope. You can't. I really wish these were things that were sort of told to you--or displayed on some signage at the front. That would've saved me about an hour of just waiting...for nothing. I canceled out the upgrade and asked when they'd get more in. He said they'd get a shipment in on Monday. I went back Monday night, they had the phone in stock, I went through the entire upgrade process again, and all was well with the world. Note to self: Don't bother going into wireless stores on the weekends. It's ALWAYS a mess, and the same process will take you half the time (if not less) on a weeknight. wow I received outstanding service from Oscar on Friday evening! I was getting new phones for my husband and I he informed us of the best existing promotion for switching the hubs over from Sprint which was a BOGO on the newest iPhones (up to $750) we just had to pay the taxes on the phones and the difference from $750 for the upgrade - as you know all this phone biz is always so complicated and Oscar took his time to explain everything in detail including the changes to my plan and what my future monthly bills would look like. He broke it down in very simple terms and was kind and courteous throughout, altogether the experience was quick and painless which I certainly did not expect! Thank you Oscar! read more
