I've been an AT&T customer for awhile now and had a great experience signing up. I've always bought phones outright due to needing them unlocked and was thinking about doing a contract phone for the first time ever (since they're unlocked these days). Compared to the store I'm used to, this was a rude awakening. The sales associate was stone cold; he did not smile once and seemed like he couldn't care less about helping us. Not a friendly place. One guy was working in the store, so I asked him to help me with my iPhone because the software update had it stuck. I couldn't use it or unlock it. Bro didn't even try to help and said it was Apple's problem, even though no one was in AT&T. I walked over to one of their phones and asked AI for help, and I was able to fix my phone on my own. . Absolutely horrible experience. Oscar had a bad attitude from the start. Either he is not knowledgeable about the products or just plain lazy. We barely received any help, the associates obviously did not want to be there and were both glued to their phones. When we asked questions, we were told to call customer service or he wasn't sure. We came in to combine 2 lines and upgrade both our phones and were there an over an hour before closing. Oscar insisted we separate the lines before the upgrade, then kicked us out before they even closed and with 2 completely undone lines!! They refused to help us after 6:45p because they said it would take too long to open the safe, that they were about to close and they were NOT allowed to get OT, when we had already been there for a full hour and told them what we came in for from the start expecting to get new phones that day. Instead of helping us, Oscar tried to pass things off to customer service while Jose sat doing nothing. Ultimately they made us do all the work and then told us to leave mid transaction because we ran out of time since they were not doing their jobs. I have no confidence our accounts are even linked. He refused to even check. Horrendous service. He originally told me his name was Will and then changed it to Oscar, he refused to provide any business cards, I asked for the managers contact info and finally got a phone number for Steven who is the store manager. I left a voicemail and am waiting to be contacted back. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews but this experience was extremely disappointing. Went to this location an hour before they close and spoke to the rep about wanting to upgrade my phone and link my phone number with a new account. Instead of handling this, he proceeded to tell me to call customer service to link the number to the new account, weird but I agreed. This should have been the first sign. Got it all resolved and with 30 minutes to go, he says he can't upgrade because it may take time to register. I mentioned that I told him I wanted to do both items when I walked in. Why wouldn't we handle the upgrade first if you knew it would take a day? Few moments later I get an email saying everything is a success and I have the new account number. He reluctantly pulls it up on his tablet. Then with 15 minutes to close he says he can't upgrade me because he has to open the safe. There were 2 employees in the store with 0 customers aside from me, yet they couldn't work together to handle this. So now I leave the store with 15 minutes to close, empty handed. read more

This experience was very disappointing. Jose was extremely rude and unprofessional, showing little respect--especially toward older customers. When his coworker asked him for clarification about the return instructions, Jose gave us a dismissive look, spoke to us in a condescending tone, and raised his voice unnecessarily. It was frustrating and made us feel as though we were the ones misunderstanding, even though the question came from his coworker. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. The sales associates at all of these retail stores are becoming so unethical, it's the reason people don't come in anymore. The "district manager" assisted me today when I went in to order the new iPhone. His name is Jeffreich and he added insurance and NextUpAnytime without my authorization. I kept telling him I don't want it. To which he responded, but you're bill will still be lower. At the end he prints the receipt and I notice he added these items without my authorization. He shrugs it off and says, you can cancel anytime. This is not how business should be ran, especially by the district manager. Awful service. Bought a wire thinking it was for my Apple 8 phone. They packed the wrong wire in the box. I didn't open it til 6 months later bc I didn't need it to charge up in my car. The mgr said even though it was their fault it was on me to check it to ensure the item was correct and had 14 days even with the receipt to exchange it. Bad service as the rep should've told me at the time I purchased it or asked me to open it up in front of him. Why it was my fault when I didn't know about the return policy. Came into store trying to figure out why I was getting charge over my Apple Watch, when one of the workers connect it back into my account and even said that i was not gonna be charge for it at all. I reached out over the phone to speak with a representative to help me with issues with my new phone/plan. The rep over the phone advised me to come into the store, when asking what her name was she refused and said she was uncomfortable sharing that information. I asked to speak with the manager, Analyn? (sp?) Picked up the phone and would not give me an opportunity to speak. Rather she was more concerned about how she could not assist if I did not come in. Why would I want to come in to a group of individuals who are so overtly rude. I don't have an issue coming into the store but rather how short and unprofessional staff spoke to me. There has got to be some sort of accountability for working on a customer service related field and be so unwilling to help. The rep said they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock but she was able to look up the inventory for the Stonestown location and said they had a few in stock. Drove to the stonetown location, waited over 30 to get help but then told they didn't have it. The rep said that there's no way stores can see each others inventory. I went in on 12/24 to try to get a deal for a family plan and they gave me good information, I told them I was gonna talk it over with my family to see what they thought. They told me to come back cause this is usually their slow month. I came back 12/26 with my family @7:30PM because we all work, we made time to ALL come. the girl that was there saturday was also there and told me she didn't have enough time to setup the account and that it was gonna take too long. She gave us attitude and basically told us she only had 15 mins but it was 7:30 they close at 8. I gave her a little bit of reason but I went to the one at costco and the girl did it in less than 20 mins. Which is the reason why i'm writing this. We came pretty late on Black Friday 11/24 Sean warmly welcomed us, we rescheduled with Anthony A. For Tuesday 11/29 to help us get set up with the switch and all the amazing deals! ETA for our phone was initially Jan 2023. We received our phones on Thursday 12/1 Returned Friday 12/2 worked with Ho Pan aka Jackie Chan to set up our phones, get some internet set up questions answered & ask more about phone replacement credit. Sat 12/3 returned old phones with Filipino Glenn to help set up our trade in value. I can say everyone had exceptional customer service! So to all we've come in contact with THANK YOU! I would give zero stars if I could. I went into this store to add a new line to our family plan, and to purchase a new phone. I felt like I was in a bad SNL skit. I'd specify what I wanted to do, and the associate would continuously present with me options that included additional services. I'd remind him that I wanted to just keep our existing plan, add one more line, and purchase a phone. He would again present a new total, which inevitably would include at least one additional service. After a few of these back-and-forths, he informed me he probably didn't have the phone I wanted to purchase in stock. If you happen you work for AT&T wireless especially in retail customer service area, please help me report this guy. I was at the AT&T retail store at Serramonte Center, Daly City, CA. I went there to ask for service as I recently found out my bill had been increased by $10. That service rep. (See the pic) told me all accounts under this plan had increased the service fees by the same amount. Without waiting for my response, he suddenly served the other customers. I had been waiting for him for nothing. He just simply ignored me. When I talked to him again and asked him why he ignored me, and he just said "F" words to me in front of all customers at the store. He also said he would call the security or 911 if I did not leave the store. I have been AT&T customer for more than 15 years and I never received that kind of "service". I give this ATT store at serrmonte blvd. One star because.my wife and I put her name on the list .They told me is going to be one hour half waiting list. Instead after waiting two hours we my wife I got something to eat . We check my wife name on the list is still on 12 on the list board.I Made a online appointment For 5.30pm AND STILL Nobody helps us .And also there other people waiting there since 12 and 1 pm waiting over 3 hours or more. If I could give a zero I would. First I was asked my name and# and that was it. Nothing for 45 minutes. I finally had to ask if I were anywhere near next to be helped( was on my lunch hour) the worker just rudely said to look at the board, I had 3 people ahead of me and no way was I to be called any time soon. So, left the store hungry with no phone. Good thing while I was there I called Verizon to see how long their wait was and I was able to get an appointment for 5. Been a customer since 2003...got our phone plan here, never going back to this location again. Who manages this place? High school drop out? I know this sounds harsh but at least get your employees to pretend to care. We were ready to renew our contract, mom wanted iphone 4 (not the 4s). Guy told us we had to wait at least 3 weeks for it...not true, that's the standard wait time for the 4s, I know bc I have one!! The iphone 4 is out at any major at&t store. She really wanted an iphone but the guy was trying to sell her an android...she doesn't want it and it doesn't matter that it takes better pictures! Apparently telling him in english and spanish doesn't get through. I wouldn't switch from at&t, but seriously hire better staff! We've been your customers for 8 years, come on! I recently purchased a new iPhone and wanted to give my old one to someone on our family plan. We took the old phone into the ATT Store at Serremonte Mall yesterday to reassign it and have the existing line the family member had been using changed from a Chicago to a local prefix. Our timing was perfect because the store wasn't busy. Neil did everything it took to help us get the phone set up with a new number, but his computer program wouldn't allow him to delete the old Chicago number from our family plan's list of lines. He gave me helpful instructions on how to call the 611 service agent and get the job done myself. I really appreciated how easy Neil made the process - and there was no charge for assigning a new number to our ATT plan! read more

Initially, I had gone to the AT&T Corporate Store on Gellert but after an hour plus, my goal of purchasing a pre paid $45 talk, text, and data was cancelled as the manager could not figure out why my phone was not receiving Data, gave up on me and told me their networks didn't work with my phone. I got my money back but it was a waste of time. Afterwards, I went down to the Serramonte AT&T Kiosk and met up with a gentleman name Neil Morales who was a bit dumbfounded about why that had happened. Neil was very kind, patient, answered all questions and proceeded to set me up. He got me my original number and had me all set up in fifteen minutes with Data. I would absolutely recommend to all AT&T members to see Neil if you need help and live in the Daly City area. He is an asset to the AT&T family and will and should go far and up the chain in the ladder. I hope he will be a manager of an AT&T Store soon. He knows his stuff and he cares. Worst possible outcome ever! Don't ever go to that place if you don't want to be deceived. Those people are very dishonest and will give you one quote to attract, and then trap you into something else. I'm not erasing my previous review just to show the drastic contrast between expectation and reality, just updating it. Here is my story. I walked into this store( I wish I never did), just to find out what's the quote for 3 lines was. I told them that I had 3 lines with Verizon and was paying around 170-180$ a month. I'm a dental student, which means I'm on budget. I was interested In finding a better deal. Justin and Chris quoted me for three lines and told me that I can get IPhone 7 Plus for myself, connect my existing Iphone 6 plus for my Mom, and get one of Samsung phones for my kid for the same 170$ which will include 24months payment plan for the new iPhone, and after I pay it off, my bill will be about 145$. Guess what - they lied. Cynically and deliberately. They gave "all possible deals and credits" and I have copy of my contract. I asked FEW times what my bill will be, and the response was 170$. Guess what - first bill came in the amount of 280$. I called ATT customer service and explained situation, and they told me that those are prorated charges because the billing period started 3 days after getting the service, and because of those 3 days they charge you more. I went to the store and made the payment, and was told that next bill will be regular charge. Today I got it - 220$. Called the store - and guess what - the store manager Chris started telling stories about that everything is correct and those are tax charges. I asked him "Didn't you guys tell me when I signed the contract that the bill will be around 170$? And when I came with the 280$ charge, didn't you tell me that it's the first bill only, and the next one will be as promised?" And now you telling me that 50$ difference is taxes? Come on, are illiterate, or what? Or you take me for an idiot? You can't count? How much is 170$+ tax? I'm so disgusted with those liars! Don't ever go there! They are either not competent and don't know how to count or they are just cynical crooks that do foul business. Either is unacceptable. I wonder if that's the philosophy of ATT to deceive people or it's just incompetence of certain people who are ruining the reputation of the company they work for. I was offended to the core by the way they treat customers, first very nice to trap you into signing the contract, and then when you catch them on hot, they just tell you that this is how it is. I am a medical professional which means I'm quite educated and those "smarties" were able to outsmart me like a kindergartener just because I trusted the name of the company that they represented. So now I'm so insulted that I want to pay the full cost of my device and run away. And I will do my best to share this awful experience with my colleagues and dental student classmates so that nobody ever gets robbed. That's a daylight robbery, and if after reading all this you are risky enough to deal with those people, make sure you audio RECORD the fairy-tale discount stories and quotes, so that you have a proof of what you were told. Otherwise, you will be another victim of dishonesty. I'm so mad that can't wait for tomorrow morning to call customer service and see what my options are. Never, never, never go to that place. I despise dishonesty, and now it's a matter of principle to spread the word. Recently came with my boyfriend to go get him a Samsung 8S. The guy told us it was the best on the market so far and that there were no glitches. However a week later his phone stopped working and completely shut off. When he went back to get an exchange for an actually working phone they told him he had to pay a restocking fee of 42$ for a phone THEY provided that was faulty. Their reasoning behind it was that because they were a privately owned retailer we had to do things through Samsung otherwise we had to pay. To me this thinking made no sense considering they were the ones that provided the phone. Similarly they provided NO information as to how to go about talking to Samsung or how long it would take to do so. I DO NOT recommend going here considering that if there are ever issues with the phones the employees WILL NOT help you and they basically say you're on you own not there problem. It's better to go through and actual AT&T store where they told us had we bought it through them they would've just given us a new phone in replacement for the faulty one. read more
