Super awesome place. I needed a new cell and a SUPER friendly and professional girl named Roquel (Raquel? I dunno how to spell it :/ ) assisted me for like two hours, updating my account to get me a cheaper bill, and explaining all of the newest phones to me. She even stayed a good 45 minutes after they technically closed to help me out. Best employee ever! She should totally get a raise for her friendly demeanor. I won't be able to describe the hilarious things she said or did because it would not be appropriate for Yelp, but oh my gosh come here to get a phone from her--and you'll get a dose of this amazingly nice girl who will make you laugh-till-you-poop-your-pants. I was there today with my mom and I got excellent service from Chris Funtanilla and he was so nice and friendly. I can say that the service there is very professional and caring. While my visit there I overheard an argument with an employee and a customer. The customer was super rude and the employee was so professional and helpful, I don't know where the frustration was coming from. It was awkward and I was thankful the employee didn't knock him out, cause I would of. The employee was super friendly and did all he could for this customer... The rep handled the situation like a try professional although the customer was being overly rude. Their were even children in there. BUT AT&T Davis is the BEST!!! read more

I had some phone business which had to be attended to today so I went into the AT&T store on F Street in Davis. My favorite sales associate (Wes) had the day off and I was helped by Victor. My situation and questions didn't throw Victor off at all. He was able to answer almost every one of them and the few he wasn't sure on, he wasn't afraid to tell me that he wanted to double check on those answers with his supervisor. I appreciate someone who isn't afraid to say 'let me go check" instead of trying to bluff their way through the conversation. He took his time and didn't try to rush me out of the store which I've had happen at other stores. I ended up spending a nice chunk of change. I depend upon these AT&T associates to be straight with their answers and I haven't regretted any of my visits into this store in the past 3 years. Trevor also helped during this visit to the store and applied his knowledge and expertise to something that I was unsure of. Like Victor, Trevor was extremely patient and kind to deal with. So I had two great AT&T associates helping me today which I really appreciate. People like them are what keeps me coming back again and again to this store. After I arrived home from my visit, I encountered a slight problem with the equipment I had bought today and I ended up back at the store. It wasn't anything cause by Victor or Trevor, but more by me. As they were both busy assisting other customers when I walked in, I was helped by Jeff who quickly and effortlessly showed me what I needed. He too was personable, knowledgeable and treated me with the utmost of respect. Every AT&T sales associate at this store that I've encountered are ones that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family. AT&T, thanks for having such great people. read more

After i came to the counter for help, the girl asked my name and told me she would sign me up. however, after waiting for 15minutes, another staff told us we were not even on the list. we were waiting for long time and end up being the last one on the list. this store sucks, so does ATT read more

This review isn't for the AT&T business in Davis but in regards to U-verse internet offered by AT&T. I couldn't find a way to file a complaint so I'm resorting to yelp to warn consumers potentially interested in U-verse. I had U-Verse for a year when DSL became U-verse. I've been trying to terminate my account because I'm moving. After multiple calls, more than 3, and at least 3 hours of being on hold, AT&T has greatly disappointed me. I understand they don't want to lose customers but to simply put a customer on hold and not service them is unacceptable. In addition I was given faulty information by the cancellation and retainment representative. He bluntly lied to me telling me that used U-verse modems couldn't be reused by a different user. I called back and spoke to a different representative who told me it was fine for a new account to use a used modem. Dishonest and manipulative methods will not help AT&T retain or gain customers. If you are interested in U-Verse be warned that you may receive substandard customer service, be lied to, and may NEVER be able to terminate your account. read more

We went to AT&T store today with a lot of frustrations regarding our cell phones. They do not work properly in our vacation house, also our home phone has some problems. Mr. Chris Funtanilla took care of our case very patiently talked to us and resolved all the problems one by one. We went into the store with unhappy mood and left with big relief and happiness. He restored our confidence with AT&T with his wonderful service. Chris gave us very good suggestions and we learned from him a lot about the cell phones and home phone service. I think ATT started getting the clue that their sales people were pushy and sucked i the personality dept and fired everyone and then rehired with a new sense of customer service by first sending their people to nice school. In the last 2 years, EVERY time I walk into this store the sales peeps are super nice and patient and so NOT pushy! They are helpful and they ask every question I throw at them! This past weekend, an AT&T Uverse technician failed to show up or call me for an appointment to transfer my service. When I called the customer service line for Uverse, I kept getting a recording saying that their offices were closed. Frustrated and without anyway of getting my Internet or TV running, I called this store since I have had such great service with them before. They were simply awesome. Juan (on Monday) and Steve (on Sunday) spent a combined total of 75 minutes on the phone with AT&T tech services trying to resolve the issue for me. I am very grateful for their help. If Juan and Steve are reading this, THANK YOU! You two were great. read more

The Davis At&t store is the pits. Bought 4 phones there over past 4 years and each had the speaker and notifications go out in less than one year. Staff would not transfer my data to the new phones I bought there even tho they had said they would. One guy claimed he couldn't, threw a fit but I wasn't leaving until he did his job. So he did transfer data. Yesterday, 3rd phone went out and they claimed they could not transfer data to a new phone but maybe Woodland store could. There were 3 staff in Davis store watching basketball! I drove 20 miles to Woodland, got excellent advice on which new phone to buy, they transferred ALL data, were pleasant and professional. Not once did they claim they could not transfer data. Davis store has lazy, disinterested, untrained staff who probably should be fired. read more

I would avoid going here if possible, I went in with a frozen phone and they googled some resolutions assuming we hadn't tried the most obvious already. then they looked up my account but said I wasn't authorized to do anything so I left went home, contacted my mother who promply added me. I returned that afternoon and waited over 5 minutes to be acknowledged or greeted then I waited another 10 for them to help me. They looked up my account and said my phone was not under warranty but that I had insurance and to go contact them, I assured them their records were incorrect because this phone was less than 1 year old. They insisted otherwise so I left again to contact the warranty company-who promptly informed that my phone was under warranty and to bring it to the closest retailer for replacement. So I went back to the store, the same woman who helped me the 2nd time I went in saw me come in and greeted me with a cold "What now". I explained to her my communication with the warranty company and she said "Well we dont do that here, I don't know why they told you that" I explained the insurance was purchased at an ATT store at the time we 1st got the phones and her response was "Doesn't matter we don't do that you will not walk out of this store with a box tonight" Thats a quote. Not sure what to do now but I'm not going back there. Not sure why ATT would partner with an insurance co. and not figure out how to keep track of or honor warranties. There been a great slip in service since they acquired Direct TV not sure if the 2 are connected. My question to the store manager is this: My phone was broken I had to leave your store go in 100 plus degree temperature 3 times to contact people, figure out how wrong you were and to be denied the the valid warranty, why dont you offer to let customer use phones and or computers at your store so they don't have to waste their time going back and forth so much before discovering the depth of you ineptitude ? We came in to replace two iPhones, so probably were set to spend $2K. We were #1 on walk in waiting list. We waited for 30 minutes, apparently no sales people were on the floor when we arrived. We were not told of slow wait times, nor did anyone check in with us. A sales person and someone who appeared to be the manager showed up later and our name was then called. We complained about the wait time. There were no apologies, only that the store had staffing issues. We suggested perhaps they needed to address their issues better, then the (apparent) manager replied "you don't have to tell me how to run my business." Maybe. We also don't have to shop at a store with an arrogant disdain for their customers. read more

The store is huge compared to the other small businesses here in Davis, haha! Staff are friendly and greet you when you walk into the door. Someone usually is standing by the entrance to ask what you came in for and will check you in on the queue. This store has been hit or miss. Be very careful who your sales person is. While the staff is friendly, not all are helpful and will outright lie instead of taking the time to look for add-on products for you like cases, especially if you are not purchasing the higher priced phones. We were on the verge of buying a phone and wanted a case. The sales woman looked me in the eye and told me they don't carry cases for the phones in the lower price ranges. Fortunately at that moment a manager happened to overhear our conversation and literally opened the cabinet at her feet and pulled out two! If he'd stuck around for the rest of the transaction they would've had a sale. Hell I might've even fallen for the phone insurance scam. But sadly, our sales woman was so intent on selling me the gorilla glass protector that we ended up leaving and heading to Best Buy instead. Highly recommend sending that associate back to Customer Service 101 for some remedial counseling. read more

The AT&T shop is good. I get polite and competent service here. The problem is AT&T signal quality where I live. Be advised that the weak AT&T 3G and 4G cell coverage in North Davis is usually zero-bar, one-bar and maybe two bars at best. AT&T wants me to pay them more money for a "booster" if I want decent cell service at home. That's not likely to happen. If I want to do a phone call from home without disconnects I must either go outdoors or sit on a couch in the family room. That's the one and only location in my house with reliable two-bar coverage from AT&T. The hallway in the middle of my house is a mysterious dead zone: totally devoid of any AT&T signal coverage (black mirror!). Before you pay for an AT&T contract for service in Davis borrow a friend's AT&T phone and make sure that it works where you want it to. read more

Soooo here goes....customer service here sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd been dreading coming in for this reason alone. I simply needed to bring in my 70 year old mother to have them just exchange an iPhone 6 back to a flip phone for my father who has Alzheimer. Switch of a sim card. We walk in and before us stands at least 7 employees at the front table. I'm thinking this is great all this attention. WRONG!!!! They all just stood there staring at us, I see a female who I'll respectfully refer to as "braids." my thoughts are I just know she'll have compassion and help. NOPE!!!!!!!!!!! She like the others just standing unaffected. I felt like I was at a job interview for Homeland Security. No I wasn't there for the latest and greatest phone on the market just helping out my mother. Finally Omar speaks since no one else would and assisted us. When I am ready for a new phone or service it won't be with this location, you all need to stop acting like your tryin to sell a Maserati and learn some basic customer service skills. I went here looking for a mirror screen protector for my iphone 4 and after standing in line for over 20 minutes listening to a couple of workers chit chat it up with customers that they could have easily finished up with quickly, I got fed up and went to the counter. I asked, "Look I'm trying to get a screen protector, is there anyone who can help me?" Sir, just wait in line and we'll help you as soon as we can. @#$% there's no one in line! Danyelle is one of the best sales people you could ask for. Intelligent, helpful, calm, and resourceful, on three different occasions she has made what would otherwise be a frustrating experience (i.e. problems with inventory and phone set-up) pleasant and successful. She knows what she is doing, but she listens to what the customer wants, and makes excellent, cost-saving suggestions. In addition, if you are buying something for your kids and want kid-savvy advice, she's terrific. She really gets both parents' and kids' perspectives, and does her best to find a good compromise. Don't ever go to this store. The incompetent staff here will give you wrong information on the phone you purchase. Then when you try to return it because you were given the phone that doesn't match your need...they will charge you for their mistake. Go to Target in Davis by Mace instead. The staff there are very helpful and knowledgeable. AND you have a 30-day trial to see if you like the phone or not. You can return the phone with no questions asked and no restocking fee. We were told there would be a wait of 5 minutes or less for service. Unfortunately we waited 20 minutes and still no help. While waiting we watched as store staff (approximately 7 people) go into a back room where they were talking and eating. It seems that their break time was more important than customer service. if you're in a hurry, or you need expert advice, make a trip out of davis if you can. where do i start... more often than not there is a wait to even talk to anyone regarding service, a new account, or an existing account. alot like the apple store (only not quite as bad). While i would never malign the people who work here- they're as polite and cheerful as anywhere else, i cannot recommend this location no matter how many glossy samsung tv's they have hung on the wall or immaculate modern looking couches they have. It's a setting that reminds me very quickly that i am more urban than davis, and people who are as or more urban than me will have their patience tried here. I recently got a galaxy s4. I had been iphone for years, and dropped mine/cracked it and decided since i had an upgrade available it was time for a change. And while i don't regret my new phone... we all know that a galaxy s4 is ALOT more complicated than iphone. like 3 or 4x more complex. in the first couple of weeks i had some difficulties personalizing it, integrating unique content and utilizing the LARGE host of new apps that were necessary for utilizing it's full capabilities. And one day while i was in davis, and having several problems with my new sidekick (how do i do this, how do i adjust that, how do i make this fit into this, blah blah blah) i went to the store and found a very nice woman with an ipad waiting near the entrance who asked for my name. i gave it to her and found there would be a 20 minute wait. while i was not thrilled, i wasn't in a great hurry that day so i sat down on a super moden looking sofa and surfed the net for awhile. within an accurate t-w-e-n-t-y m-i-n-u-t-e-s i was called (my name came up on the 50" led- oddly reminded me of the dmv talk about a subliminal statement about capitalism in our society) and approached a lovely woman behind their very front counter who was waiting to help. I told her the advice/help that i was looking for. described the problems i was having with my new device, and she nodded. asked me to hand her my phone which i did. and she looked at the phone for a few moments saying nondescript innocuous things regarding it and then. the bomb dropped. she took the mouse of the computer that was in front of her, and googled the questions II have about my phone. tried to look up instructions as i easily could at home. i hope i didn't have too much of an expression on my face at that moment because it would have been rude. The woman asked 2 other people at the store, and after another 20 or so minutes without any actual resolution i exclaimed i had to be somewhere and it'd "be fine". oh my god what a joke. If i were at a best buy mobile store in the galleria or arden this would NOT HAVE HAPPENED!!!!!!! i wouldn't recommend this store for a new phone either however if you're simply gunning for a new iphone it'd be fine i guess. still a longer than average wait for very bare-bones simple credit-card-swiping service. no. to people bitching about the company in regards to this store it's not fair. yes, at&t rrrrrrrrrIPS people off for data and other things but that is NOT what reviewing this specific davis location is for. read more

I went to the A T & T Store in the early evening to purchase a new iPhone 5-an upgrade from my 3G. An hour later, and I emerge with a new phone, along with a new iPad--was told I would receive a $100 immediate credit and then receive a $150 B of A gift card (in the mail-1 month later). What a deal they told me! I was also told that I could save money on my internet and tv -if I dumped Directv and signed up for Uverse. I only agreed to the tv part as Comcast is MUGH faster for internet speed-DESPITE THE NONSENSE THEY TELL YOU!! I ran several speed tests to check. The Uverse tech arrived a few days later--with wrong order-Victor, Michael and Jeff (not sure which one) had added internet and HD to the tab. I told the tech that this was a mistake-he insisted that this was the order. I asked to reschedule and then sort this out with the rep(s) at the store. I was told that I would have to call and cancel this-not easy to do-but finally accomplished. Then my AT&T bill arrives-I was switched to a fancy phon contract-with all sorts of add ons. I called the A T and T "help line" Four hours ( I am NOT exaggerating- 3 ladies) trying to sort out my bill) I had my old plan back-but had to pay for a 2 year iPad contract or $146 cancellation fee!!!! I was told (Michael) that I could cancel the A T and T iPad service if I didn't use it. Well, I didn't. He NEVER said I had 2-3 weeks to cancel. I was a week over, when the bill arrived and Ilearned that the trial period was over. I HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS A 2 YEAR CONTRACT. Michael was busy wooing other customers so I was periodically passed off to Victor and Jeff. I learned from the lady on the A T and T help line, that these guys get commissions for each thing they sell. Oh-so they really weren't trying to give me better service and more for my money! This is what they ALL told me--they could give me MORE FOR LESS MONEY. BEWARE OF UP SELLING AND TOTALLY FALSE CLAIMS AND PROMISES. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN-AND I HAVE BEEN AN AT & T CUSTOMER FOR DECADES! Verizon has my business as soon as my contract is up-In fact-I may just pay the penalty to be rid of the bad taste from the DAVIS A T &T Store. The phone reps were as helpful as they could be and were hung up on by Jeff when they tried to inquire about the add ons to my bill. Really classy ??? Sure they are all smiley faces-just be aware of what their game is--you are their to be fleeced if you are not careful. NOT your usual Davis merchant experience. Bummer. read more

I have been their customer for 5+ years. There are ups and downs in customer service of this ATT Store. I have 10 lines with ATT. But I am totally unsatisfied with them. I was trying to get a prepaid line for my uncle last month and naturally I went to this ATT Store. We had an unlocked Sony Experia phone. They swap my credit card and then inserted the SIM and it did not get connected to their network (or they could not get it connected). Then after some trial and error we were told that the phone is locked (Not true, because right after this we went to T-mobile next door and their SIM worked just fine). "OK, then" I said. " Can I get my money back?". The rep told me no, we cannot give your money back since this is prepaid SIM. I was totally shocked. I told them either make the thing work or reimburse my money. Then their manager came in, her name was Selena or something like that, and she told me with an ultimate impoliteness that there is no way we give your money ($40) back !!!! Having to know them during the past few years and how they propose things in store and deny what they just said afterward, I knew they are gonna take my money and decided to stay there until the issue is resolved. While there, I called ATT customer service by phone and after 1.5 hours (If you could believe this!!) they returned some $51 to my ATT account as credit. Just saying, do not trust any statement from any of the staff in this ATT Store. Or at least record their voice, although not gonna do any benefit to you. read more

I am unfortunately not sure of the name of the woman who helped my mother and I- but she was young and blonde and has worked at the store for 6 years. I think the only blonde that works at this particular AT&T store. She was very helpful in helping my mom pick out a new I -phone that she loves. She also went the extra mile to help me with an issue I was having. I really appreciated the extra help I received in person at this store. She should get a raise for her strong customer service skills. read more

I forgot to say, as a follow-up, that I also ended up upgrading my phone at this location. My LG G2 was great at the time, but was experiencing some technical issues and I wanted a new phone. Wasn't sure if I wanted another Android, or to try the iPhone 6/6 Plus. I made a very unexpected choice and went with the Nexus 6. Although at first I was in love with the big screen and excellent speakers, I found the software experience to be lacking and the performance to be on the slow side (most likely Google's forced software encryption). So I exchanged it for a very different phone entirely: the iPhone 6 (love this phone). As I am writing this review 6 months after the fact, I unfortunately cannot remember his name, but the individual who assisted me was great and made sure I understood everything about my upgrade and about the iPhone 6. The exchange process was very smooth. On my way out I forgot the box and paperwork for the phone (embarrassing, I know), but he personally called me to let me know. Now that is good service! Although I no longer live in the area, I would unhesitatingly recommend the downtown Davis AT&T store to anyone. read more
