I went in to, very simply, pick up a phone, but was faced with an employee who was not just rude but unwilling to help. I had ordered the phone with an online representative who told me to just pick it up in store. The person who worked here seemed angry for whatever reason. He couldn't find the phone in the back and came out saying "There's no phone under the name XX" He just stopped there, so I had to ask about how to proceed. He asked what kind of phone I wanted and when I told him, he said "well we don't have that here." He never continued to tell me what I can do or even ask me how he can help. Both were extremely helpful and could answer all of my questions. I especially appreciate this after a nightmare of an experience at the Emeryville AT&T store. I came here after my phone was stolen and couldn't have had better luck with Laura. She is costumer service gold. She helped me get a free upgraded phone, handled all my concerns, helped me download apps, and even made me feel better about having my phone stolen. Both my boyfriend and I were so impressed with the service that he went back to get a new phone as well. Definitely the friendliest, most pleasant service I have ever had in an ATT store in my 10 years as a costumer. read more

Not sure what has changed at this store but you are better off just calling AT&T directly. Tonight they had 6 employees waiting for customers, they couldn't help us nor did they try hard and we left without one person saying thank you or good bye. I have gone into this store 3 times trying to buy a phone. 3 times I have left the store without a phone. Every time I have worked with Damien (or Darius, or something like that, I'm trying to forget). He has been pushy, trying to get me to pay more for the same product, switch to a more expensive plan, etc. And he has been rude, taking my name off the list, making assumptions about my character. lots of team members to greet you at the door, I guess we were just a burden as we approached with 2 warranty issues. First, my Zagg iPad cover that would not close and the top detached from the bottom. Made me feel like they were doing me a favor 3 months into the warranty for a replacement. I didn't want another one for fear of the same issue. ( no way). Unfriendly, unyielding team supported by poor policies I asked for a replacement/changing out to similar product. Was denied - why would I want that Zagg cover again? I was told by the sales person that the manager agreed to only 1 warranty replacement even though manufacturer is 1 yr. Husband has a cracked protection screen on his 2 week old ipone q6. He has to register the case, send it to the manufacturer, wait for a replacement and drive back to AT&T and have it installed! Why couldn't they remove it, put on a new one and send us out happy? read more

I have a family plan and have been using this store for several years to help me address the needs of nieces, nephews and other family members who can't seem to keep their phones in one piece (you're NOT supposed to wash them, I hear) or even in one place! It looks like the reviews for this branch are not consistent. So maybe I came in on a busy day but my experience today (01/02/15) was horrible. I came in for an upgrade and encountered one of the sales employee that had zero customer service skills whatsoever. He was very rude and spoke in a tone that would make you think you are wasting his time. There was no Hi or Hello, straight to what is your name and phone number on this one. He tried to sell me a more expensive phone and change my plans to save money, both I declined, explaining that I know what I want and the plan works for us. Plus if you need to change anything you can do it online easily. No need to be pushy and suggest that perhaps it wasn't explained to me well or I did not understand it well. I have been an AT&T customer for almost a decade. Trust me I know. This might have frustrated him a little bit. What really did me in, is when he asked "do you know how much this phone cost?", I think he meant to say "would you like to review the items in your order?", either way it was poor execution of customer service. He even said to just come back when I have more time. I think he thought I was rushing that is why I walked out on him. Safe to say he is clueless.
