This is still a horrible store with incompetent staff. I am updating my review from another horrific experience from 2014. It is three years later and they are no better. *Do not give this location any more business everyone!! I made a visit accompanying a friend to upgrade her phone. Long story short, we witnessed far better and attentive customer service for those who were signing up a new account. We felt there was a clear example of discrimination. Furthermore, we saw other sales staff pushing more expensive iPhones onto people when clearly they didn't want something so expensive. They also start telling people asking questions to look it up online instead of providing some service and talking to folks. I've written to AT&T about this location before and received no response. My wife and I just bought our new phones here. I see a lot of really negative reviews here (sad), but I have to say this was the best phone buying experience we've had. Jaelen took great care of us. He was incredibly patient and helpful. Very knowledgeable and professional. The only issue we had was that there was a guy there, (not in an ATT shirt, didn't greet us, not sure who he was), who turned one of the TVs on to an MMA fight and cranked the volume way up. Reception and data speeds are very poor in la canada. T-Mobile works much better. I was told the service was great while I was in store but only got 10mbps around various parts of la Canada. Getting 100-200mbps with T-Mobile. They advised a booster but this won't work while you're outside the house. It'll be hard getting your money back if you cancel, as they bill for the following month and make you go through a lot of hurdles. read more

AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST! Donald was the sales rep that assisted with purchasing a new iPhone. I asked him for the 64 gb iPhone 12 Mini as a promo for $8.75/month was occurring; however, he mistakenly gave me the iPhone 12. At the time in the store, I did not realize it was the wrong phone until I got home and looked at the receipt. It said $15/month installments, so I called the store and spoke to Donald. He said that a credit for half that amount will be credited to my account. But I find it shocking that he did not realize he was giving me an iPhone 12 as he was setting up the new phone and when he rang us up. That shows that some of your employees cannot decipher between iPhone products or knowingly gave us a phone to make a sale. In addition, I later found out that they add on an extra $5 per month without telling the customer about it for the AT&T Next Up feature. When I purchased a case on Amazon for the phone, I realized it did not fit and looked at the iPhone box and noticed it was a 12 and not the Mini. I called the store on 1/20 and spoke to Donald, and he said that it could be exchanged within the 14 day window. I told him I will come later.  I called again to assure that an iPhone 12 Mini was in-stock, but he suspiciously left in an emergency and spoke with Alaya (Store Manager). She said I could return it in the store with no restocking fee charged. From my understanding she also said that an iPhone 12 Mini was in-stock at the store, that's why I came, but to my disappointment she said only the 256 gb was available. I am very disappointed in the service, lack of knowledge and inconvenience for my purchase. Overall, I did not get what I needed, because the phone is out of stock and I simply don't want to wait 3-5 business days to get a new one. I also went as far to contact the District Manager, Jacob Williams, who I can only contact via email at jw106539@mywirelessgroup.com. He responded only once and never responded again or made an effort to rectify the issue. They will only be nice to you when they're making the purchase, make a bait and switch to deceive the customer and act like they want to help but never do. read more

After 20 years of having AT&T service (since back when it was Cingular wireless), my recent experience with the staff at this store in La Cañada prompted me to immediately pay off both of my phones, cancel my service, and move to a different provider... I went in to exchange an iPad Air I had bought there less than a week prior, and I was subsequently treated like total dirt by the staff. After I checked in and was waiting just off the sales floor near the back entrance to the store, the employee who was going to be helping me, Emilio, didn't realize I was within earshot while he went on and on for what seemed like a minute griping and totally trashing me for coming in to return something. It was full speed downhill from there. Of course once I was called inside to be helped, I let him know I'd heard what was said about me openly on the sales floor while I patiently waited outside. After the awkward confrontation he proceeds to tell me he can help me with ordering the iPad Pro, but that I'd need to come back the next day when the manager was there to do the return because a manager has to do that. Emilio volunteered to have the restocking fee waived to right the wrong of what had transpired with my overhearing his rant. He set an appointment for 2:30 the next day, and said he and the manager would both be there to help me. I show up at 2:30 the next day to find that Emilio is off and not even there, and the manager is in the back "making calls". The employee who's now helping me with the return I assume now sees in the notes that the restocking is to be waived, and gives me a lecture as to how they're doing that as a courtesy to me, and that normally I should be charged. I realized at this point that she thought I asked for the fee to be waived, and she didn't know that Emilio voluntarily offered that to make up for his unprofessional lapse in judgment, and I never requested it. The manager came out for a split second to approve the return and it was clear had no intention on even acknowledging me. The entire vibe from beginning to end was terrible.. insincere, unprofessional, confrontational. I usually don't write reviews, but my goodness. Just close the doors if you don't want to be in the customer service business. read more

They said they will let the area manager know. I do not think they care about business. I will keep complaining and will escalate to executive customer service. His customer service was impeccable and I like the fact that there was no nonsense and that he handled things efficiently. I got scammed by this store, specifically by the store associate. I had two lines and wanted to upgrade to iPhone 12. But I was offered to add a 3rd line and lower my bill by about $10. Spent about an hour going over everything and explained how adding this 3rd line was gonna actually lower my bill while keeping the same service and get HBO max. Well my bill went up by $25 instead of going down by $10. I just spent an 2 hour talking to AT&T investigation team and even she said something looks fishy. And also apparently the guy used a different name on this transaction instead of his own name to possibly cover up his scam later? So she just escalated this issue to the store manager and the higher ups. So they have 7-10 days to review the report now. They tried to remove my 3rd line but it's not possible because he assigned my new phone, my upgrade phone, to the 3rd line. When he did that I immediately corrected him saying you added the new phone to wrong number. He said nah don't worry about it it doesn't matter. Well it now sounds like he was doing it on purpose so that I can't cancel the 3rd line later and be stuck with paying a higher bill He also added the $5 AT&T Next. Which I specifically told him no I don't want it. But he added it anyway. I spent another hour on the phone canceling it He also added some insurance plans Asurion $15 per month for each phone. Again, behind my back. I spent 2 hours on phone to cancel those and get my money back. Overall, this place deserves zero star but 1 star is lowest it looks like. Avoid this store at all cost. The store associate was very fun friendly guy so I trusted him. But he scammed me. I wasted about 5 hours of my life trying to fix what he messed up and still fighting about my increased monthly bill. I hope the manager reads this and reviews the report that is sent to them by AT&T and do the right thing and get my money back, remove that 3rd line, and bring my bill down again. Less of a store and more of a con artist shop. I went in to simply buy a new phone to replace the current phone on my plan. Anthony "helped" me. Took 90 minutes to get everything squared away, in part because he couldn't clearly explain the details and requirements of their plan, and in part because he had a lot of trouble dealing with my trade in phone. I thought we got it sorted out. Then, two days later, I get an email saying he signed me up for some insurance program he never discussed, I'd never heard of, and didn't want. Now I'm wasting time on hold with AT&T waiting to get it canceled and find out what other ways he screwed up my account or added unwanted services to. A total scam, a waste of time, and I will NEVER purchase anything at an AT&T store again (in the past I've always bought at an Apple store but decided to give them a shot...big mistake). Dishonest & sketchy. Avoid this store. UPDATE: I got my first bill from AT&T and it turns out they signed me up for ANOTHER automatic monthly charge in addition to the "insurance." This $5/mo is supposed to allow me to trade my phone in early, but I SPECIFICALLY DECLINED WANTING THIS SERVICE IN THE STORE. They signed me up anyway, perhaps thinking I wouldn't notice it on my bill. I've wasted tons of time on this scam of a store already, and now I have to spend more time calling. I visited the la Canada store on May 19th they gave me the wrong phone(asked for 128GB but got the 258GB instead which was more expensive)called the store they told me I can go back and they will get me the correct one and the agent that helped me was there and told me that he remembered me asking for the basic one since it was for my 85 year old mom .walked to the store today morning at 10:00am and Joe was there , told him what happened and he said you have to pay restocking fee . I told him it's not my fault he said why I should trust you? Maybe you took the wrong phone.(the phone is not there to take what you want they have to get it for you from the back) !!! Joe started yelling at me and telling that if I am not happy I should leave the store.he was very disrespectful, rude , unprofessional and didn't have a name tag or business card with his name on it!!! I asked for a store manager he said there is no one else available and didn't let me to talk to anyone I had to call the corporate office and report him . Don't trust the employees of this store. I brought a damaged phone into the store for an upgrade. I was told that if I repaired the screen, I would get $700 for the trade in, but only $350 if I turned it in as is. I took the phone to the repair shop the store employee recommended and paid to have it repaired. When I dropped the phone back off, they would only give me $350. So I'm out the repair cost and would have been better off just turning it in with the screen cracked. I've been coming to this store for a decade and have bought all of my phones from them. I am not a type of a person who leave negative comments for no reason I went to this location on 2/2/23 around 10:25, a very nice young lady was helping a customer and another lady was waiting to be helped, this guy walks in with a Starbucks drink and some pastry in his hands, he seemed just woke up and he had to work which he hated, after helping the lady who was waiting ( actually he said there is nothing I can do for you except get you on the phone with whoever that she was supposed to talk) I do understand that like myself I had some questions which I thought I knew the answer for one and that was to call Apple customer service well after that I asked about the adding extra apple care and warranty to my phone and I told the gentleman I was never advised anything about it when I got my iPhone 14 max plus, and I told him who helped me which was a super nice guy but probably new all of a sudden in a very polite way he told me there is nothing about the extra warranty or apple care and I had to go through the third company, he started looking for a card with a phone number which he couldn't find and wrote the number on a piece of paper HE TOLD ME HE WOULD HAVE WISHED WHOEVER SOLD ME THE PHONE GAVE ME ALL THE INFO SO WE DONT HAVE THAT AGGRAVATION, are you kidding me I just asked you a question No wonder this location has so many negative points for customer service I will never go back to this location I don't know who is in charge of this store but he or she should be doing something about it read more

AT&T is truly an evil organization. So there is no reason to expect a store to be any different. If you have ever tried to resolve anything over the phone or on line, you know of what I speak. Their website is an absolute POS. I needed a new remote for my DirecTV. The old one pooped out. Hard to order a new one on line so I called and spoke to a live person. She stated you can go to any AT&T store because they all have them in stock. Not true. Not even close. Store people tell me they cannot even order one. I had one shipped to my house, but an absolute pain. I love how Last Week Tonight with John Oliver keeps sticking it to them. Unfortunately my house phone is also with AT&T. When the voicemail went down we went through hell to get it back up and running. Everyone on the planet should consider Verizon, or Spectrum, or anything else. read more

I wanted to get a Netgear Nighthawk M1 LTE Router. The people were very rude and short both when I when I went to get information about the product and return it. I was Online before going to the store and the Online person told me that I had 14 days to try the product and if it did not workout I could return it within 14 days without any fees. He also told me that I could pick one up at the store for faster delivery. When I went to the store they told me that there would be restocking charges and other fees and that the Online Person was not right. I went back Online and have a chat where they again told me no fees. They checked with their manager and I ordered the router. After a few days the router was not getting a good connection where I lived at and I went to return it at the store. Again, they told me there would be fees. I returned it via mail and got an email confirmation when ATT received the router that they were going to credit my account for the router. The next month I got an email and bill from ATT for $91. I called them and told them about my chat and the online person emailed me a copy of it which I have. They told me to go to the store and show it to them. I am NOT going back to the store and just going to dispute the bill with Amex since I have the chat. It is poorly run, staffed by people who are happy to tell you just how little they care about your time and your business. With a completely full store of waiting customers, all employees aside from one, decided to leave one their breaks at the same time. Twice we were in this store regarding a new phone. The first visit the manager & male employee were less than helpful after we said we were not buying that day but were getting ideas as to what was available in prepaid vs a contract service. We had to go over several times to the register area to ask questions (no the store wasn't busy). We went back after buying a new phone off Amazon, the manager (again) and the girl that were working were more interested in selling us internet and TV service vs activating the new phone. Yes the activated it but kept pushing and pushing the internet and TV service on us.
