I had a great experience at AT&T today 07/19/26 in La habra store. Romeo provided outstanding customer service from start to finish. He was friendly, professional, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions. He made the entire process easy and made sure I understood all of my options without making me feel rushed. I went to this location with my mom to upgrade her phone after many years of her having an older device. From the moment we stepped in the store, the manager (I saw her name tag) had a very negative look on her. I told the manager that I wanted to upgrade my mom's phone and she was annoyed as if we were bothering her. Because I told her that this would be my mom's first iPhone, the manager very rudely said, "Well just so you know, this isn't an iPhone school here. We don't teach people how to use the phone. You have to go to an Apple store for that", even though we didn't even ask her to help with the phone! From there, I started asking about which phone would be best, and she rolled her eyes and asked me "When was the last time you got a new phone?" in an aggressive tone. Needless to say, we talked out immediately after and went to another AT&T store where they were able to help us. My mom had also mentioned to me that when she visited that same location years ago inquiring about getting an iPhone, the associate at the time told her they thought she was too old for an iPhone and told her she needed to get a Samsung, which she did. As someone who has worked in retail customer service, including the cell phone industry, this is a despicable way to treat your customers. read more

Today was no different and my phone wasn't responding after an update. I tried everything at home and stop by seeking professional assistance. Dear neighbors in La Mirada/Whittier and anyone approached by AT&T in your neighborhood, We were recently convinced to switch from T-Mobile to AT&T after being promised that we could move our five lines over and receive new phones at a great rate. Based on those promises, we agreed to switch. At no point during this process were we told that we had only 30 days to turn in our old phones after they were activated. We explained multiple times that we would not be able to return one of the phones until our daughter returned from studying abroad. We activated our phones in January, and when we called last week to request a return box for the old phones, we were suddenly told that the case had been "escalated" and that the 30-day window had expired. We have now spoken to two customer service representatives and visited the store in person. Both told us there was nothing they could do and would not allow us to speak with someone who could actually help. To make matters worse, we have carefully reviewed our contract and nowhere does it state that we had only 30 days to turn in the old phones. AT&T claims they sent us an email about this policy, but neither my husband nor I received one, and we have thoroughly searched both of our inboxes. Today we even went into the store to try to cancel our service because of how frustrating this experience has been. We were then told that we would still be responsible for paying for all five phones and that we would be unable to cancel. This level of customer service is unacceptable. In a time when everything is already so expensive, it is incredibly frustrating when companies do not stand by what they promised. Please be cautious if you are approached to switch services. I am extremely satisfied with the service and my overall experience at AT&T. I was helped by Rammy both times I went in. The first was to upgrade and trade in an old phone. He made the while process easier than expected, he even managed to keep things light, fun, and encouraging. He understood the struggle I was in dealing with my old phone. He not only helped but was very informative. Allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed and was patient. The second time I went in with a list of follow up questions and he was very reassuring, he answered all of my doubts and questions. Would definitely recommend to anyone... I referred my mom afterwards who also upgraded and she also had a good experience (might I add that Rammy surprisingly also speaks Spanish and was able to assist my mom on his own). I had a not so great experience at a different AT&T store earlier today, and when I came to this store, the difference was night & day. I needed to complete the trade-in process for two phones I already ordered over the phone a couple weeks ago. Bishoy helped me out within a few minutes of arriving and he was incredibly kind and informative. He explained everything and made sure I understood the process, what to expect, charges, etc, so there would be no surprises. He was able to get my trade-in devices processed without any issues, and was also really personable and helpful. It is not common to meet someone who understands customer service the way this person does, and I left feeling like I want to continue being a customer of AT&T (while earlier the same the day, I was on the brink of leaving). Service was great. Went to store to add an Apple Watch to my phone but I told the person helping me I did not want the monthly insurance. Sure enough I got a email notification that I had insurance for my watch. Called AT&T because I'm never going back to this location. Told them to remove it. Turns out they didn't and i finally figured out how to remove it myself. Frustrating thing is I told them from the beginning I did not want insurance. They can say whatever they want at a store level, but I said no insurance and I still get billed for it. I'm going to the Apple Store for any issues or purchases going forward. read more

Talk about 0 customer service from a gal stating she was an assistant manager and then later a manager. Several people in line I asked another gal who was taking names if she could help and very rudely said that she was the manager and she couldn't help. I addressed her rudeness with Daisy and Ms. Daisy wouldn't let me speak and she just kept throwing her title and stating she was managing her employees. I asked her for her regional managers info and she said she wasn't going to give me any info and for me to call customer service. As a corporate office, I was very surprised how unprofessional several employees were. I live in Whittier and went to the store and purchased several phones with excellent customer service. Attentive and professional you would think that they were the corporate office. They were unable to get me a phone was not in stock. He called the La Habra corporate store, which said they did have the phone and we would be down to see it when we arrived. We were asked how can we'd be helped we said we called to see a certain phone that they had and there were two sitting at the desk one standing trying to help us and One walking around customer service we explained that the Whittier office called and they had this phone. The customer service lady was bilingual, started talking into her language to the other associates and they were saying that I didn't take the call and the other one responded. I didn't take the call and so on instead of looking it up and helping us out it was more of we said she said so unprofessional it doesn't take much to look up the phone and let us know. It's that easy instead of having a discussion, it was frustrating that they would talk in their language, and we would stand there waiting to see what is going on the gentlemen associate finally said we'll just go look and see if it's there. When she came back, the phone was not in stock. There was nothing else to say no other offers is if we can order it or any other way to be helpful for customer service it was more like we don't have a phone and that's it. do you want that phone? At the Whittier store The gentlemen had asked us if we would like to order the phone and it would take two days and we had said we'll check the Harbor corporate and he said yes they always have everything so at that point. They didn't give any options onto to order the phone. It was more like a hello and goodbye and not even apologetic Working with a public for many years, I was completely surprised that a corporate office would have so many not just one unprofessional people working that could disrespect you in a small amount of time. We mention that we were coming from Whittier to purchase his phone and it meant nothing. It was more of an argument on who received the call. if you want excellent customer service with respectful professionalism go to the Whittier store on Whittier Boulevard. You can't go wrong. They are more than happy to help you and problem solved anything to give good customer service. Worst experience and customer service ever. I walked into the store at 7:10 was added to the wait list and told it would be a 30-40 min wait. After waiting for over an hour the manager of the store Adriana decided to walk up the last customer who walked in to the store instead of helping me who was next in line. I wasted mad but didn't say anything. When they finally got around to helping me an hour and 20 mins after I got to the store they tell me they are closing early and they won't be able to transfer my Information from my old phone to the new one. I asked if you planed to close early why not let the customer know this when they first walk in. The manager is really unprofessional will never set foot here again. read more

I was on the phone with AT&T tech support for about an hour to fix an issue I was having. The person helping was not able to understand my issue. I decided just to go into the AT&T store. I had a bad experience at the Whittier Whittwood AT&T store and left and went to the La Habra store in hopes that they would change my mind in my decision of switching from T-Mobile to AT&T. Enter the store and there's a security guard who gave me a heads up at the door. There were three customers at three tables. One person was being helped. The employee did not acknowledge my presence not "someone will be with you in a minute" or anything the second employee came out to work on the other customer he was working with and again no acknowledgment. I was in the store for over five minutes when I finally was acknowledged. I asked for the manager who said they'll get them, but I'll have to be a minute over 25 minutes. Don't trust what they tell you at this store. We came to this store to upgrade two of our phones. AT&T was offering $700 for trading in iPhone 8s and we had two of them so we were ready to upgrade and get $700 off of each new phone. But the salesperson told us, "Why not wait two weeks until the iPhone 13 comes out and get that instead of the 12?" We asked if the trade-in for iPhone 8 would still be the same. They told us yes, it would be. We were doubtful, so we asked again, "Are you certain that the trade-in value won't change?" And we were told again that it would not. So, we went home and came back two weeks later. I'm sure you can guess what happened. When we returned and were ready to get our new phones, we noticed that the trade-in value for our iPhone 8s was now $350 each -- half of what it was before. When we reminded them that they had insisted to us that the trade-in would stay the same, their response was basically, "oops, sorry." The manager was the worst. He gave us a BS line that the trade-in values change all the time and "it would probably go back up in a couple of months." He said we should just "wait and see." When we talked with another manager the next day, she at least was honest and confirmed that there was no chance of the trade-in value going back to what it was. Never once did anyone in the store offer anything to make up for the $700 we were losing because they lied to us that the trade-in value would not change. They told us we should call AT&T customer service (why couldn't THEY do that?) and see if they could offer something. AT&T customer service was not any better. After being on the phone with them for almost two hours they came up with the grand offer of a monthly discount for changing to paperless billing -- the same discount offered to every single AT&T customer. We had been with AT&T for over ten years and were generally happy, but after this experience we decided we couldn't stay with a company that doesn't respect their customers. We're with T-Mobile now and our bill is $60 less than what it was with AT&T. read more

My experience was one disaster after another. My email was setup on someone else's account. In which AT&T couldn't fix. False expectations set by the AT&T reps and also by the technician setting up my internet. I was told that I would get the first month free internet and when I received my bill I was charged for 2 months. When the tech came out. I asked him about the extended Wi-Fi he said it wasn't on his order. That I didn't need it, and I'll not get billed for the extended Wi-Fi for the system will recognize that I don't have one setup automatically. I was also billed for this too. When I called AT&T customer support the rep was really unprofessional due to having lots of background noise, I had too constantly repeat myself I lost confidence in the rep. to request to talk with manager. Credit card screen keeps refreshing. Limited selection of Motorola Flipside cases (1). Ran out of screen protectors. The salesman said that the main difference with the Blackberry Torch is that Blackberry is a business phone. He gave the phone with my mother's SIM card to my father. There are no drinks or food in the store. They don't stock any of those iphone battery extenders. We bought a holster and two car chargers. Went here twice to have contacts transferred from the old SIM cards but some of the address book entries only have "1" as the telephone number. When my mother's new cell phone didn't accept calls they blamed it on the fact that my father charged it overnight instead of only two hours. read more

I went to the store to get a prepaid SIM card for family visiting for 10 days from a different country. I was looking for a prepaid card worth $35. I was told that I will not be charged if I don't use the SIM Card. I was not told of the other expenses that come with the SIM card like activation fee etc. To my surprise I received a bill of $113.06 and I didn't even use the SIM Card. The other bill was not disclosed. Yes, they look as they pay attention. I was impressed but hidden under those smiles are hidden fees. Be careful coming here. It may make a hole in your pocket for other expenses not disclosed. I cannot recommend. I give this store a negative score. I called AT&T customer service but told me that the store has to fix this. I went to the store to speak to the manager but he can't help me. So I am writing this warning to other possible victims. read more
