AT&T Store - Jantzen Beach Center, Portland Absolute nightmare. I went in just to buy a SIM card. Simple, right? Not at this store. I had the misfortune of dealing with a young, entitled employee who clearly had no interest in helping anyone. First, he refused to sell me the SIM because I didn't have a product number--something he could've easily looked up himself. Eventually, on my second visit, he magically found a product code that worked. Great, problem solved? Nope. Instead of just setting up the account correctly, this genius entered completely random information--fake name, fake email (1234@gmail.com), and no way to recover the account because it was a data-only plan (no text messaging). He literally sabotaged the setup, whether out of laziness or spite, I don't know. Either way, it locked me out of the account entirely. It took me three full days to get back in, dealing with AT&T's support to prove who I was, fix the mess, and finally get access. All because this employee couldn't be bothered to do the most basic part of his job. Honestly, I hope this waste of space got fired--or more likely, quit to crawl back to his parents' basement and play video games all day. Maybe by now he's cut his fingernails too, because watching him type made me sick to my stomach. Save yourself the hassle. Go to literally any other AT&T store. This one is a joke. read more

Went in because I was due for an upgrade and was helped by Rebecca. She not only ordered the phone I wanted, she helped me get two new Apple Watches while still reducing my monthly payment by 20+$ a month. She was super positive and explained everything really well. It's not surprising that she's the manager, she's a boss ‍ I left with three new things while still saving almost 30$ a month. Super happy read more

Don't go here. I just joined ATT and was told to go into an ATT store to do my transfer and drop off my phone. When I asked for help, the assistant told me I should have just gone to an actual ATT store. I said I'm sorry I didn't realize this wasn't one an actual store and he then pointed to the door and says it says on the door but I guess I can help you. I told him that I didn't appreciate how I was being treated and he said I'll help you but I'm just saying this isn't our job. I then said if you're not going to help me, I can go somewhere else and he snapped back saying I said I'm going to help you, you're the one being pissy. He continued to be unhelpful and treating me like I didn't know what I was doing or that I was stupid. So I asked for the manager who was apparently the man sitting across the way and never once acknowledged me, the situation, or anything. Terrible customer service all around. They had zero customers in the store but treated me like I was a burden for asking for assistance. I highly recommend going anywhere but here for assistance. read more

Went into this store yesterday with a rather complex situation. Needed to transfer to my name from my mother's account to my own account + get a new phone because my mic stopped working on my iPhone 7. I was helped within minutes and the entire process was pretty easy and seamless. I forget the names of who helped me, but I'm sure when you read this you'll know who you are! The AT&T reps really know their stuff and I can't thank you all enough!!! read more

If I could give this store a -2, I would. If you want to wait all afternoon for a bunch of disorganized, junior league kids to help, go here. If that's not your jam, head to the ATT at Cascade Station, which was superb. I showed up yesterday, 9 months pregnant. I wait at the back of the store, masked and giving 10 feet of distance between myself and everyone else to inquire about the contact free curbside option. The sales reps are helping other customers, and after about five minutes one finally acknowledges I'm there. Without even turning in his chair, he says yea, go wait outside, we'll be out to help at some point, I can't tell you when. Totally fine, I go to sit in my car. There's no waiting list, no sign up, no way to indicate you're waiting in your car for an indefinite period of time for help from an ATT bro in the middle of a workday. So I call inside to let them know that I'm waiting, describe my car, etc. By this time, another car and a walk up had arrived, and the guy inside says, you know, there's no list, but maybe you can go talk with the other people and cars to tell them you're in line first. Um, no. I'm not risking COVID and walking around to organize your wait list for you. The other ATT store had a waitlist, added folks immediately, and helped within five minutes. I was out of there within 10 minutes with a brand new phone and no contact. Terrible and really disrespectful customer service and we will avoid this store in the future. read more

This is an authorized retailer, which is not managed by AT&T in any way. I believe it was Ken who helped us. He blatantly lied to us about our data usage and tried to get us into a ridiculous contract. Luckily, we politely declined his offer because it didn't sound legit. We headed over to an actual company store were we had far superior service and honesty. We were lucky to have left the retailer. read more

The staff at this place was very professional and friendly. They helped me reactivate an old phone and gave me a new SIM card for the phone at no extra charge. They even made a test call to ensure that everything was working OK and it was. Perfect! read more

Salesperson tells you you're getting a cheaper plan by upgrading. Also presented me with 3 options and I picked the middle option but because I am a union member I get the highest option for the middle plans price. I am told I will be paying basically the same price as my old plan and I will get money off for my trade in phone. When I get estimate bill from AT&T it's $50 higher than my bill has been. The plan that I picked is actually $95 not the $85 dollar one and there is no discount for my trade in. I called AT&T and they said it takes several cycles for that to show up on bill(I should have been told that by lying salesperson) they also couldn't access my account with out some 4 digit code that I had no idea I had or needed so they cousin help me on the phone. Now I have to go down to the store again and talk to that lying salesperson to get my code. I think I'll just go to Verizon instead and have them buy me out of This piece of crap company! read more

Look if you're headed into any AT&T store you just sort of automatically know it's going to take forever and be a total pain. AT&T got my account all screwed up with their "Enjoy" home delivery program that I had purchased through the AT&T store in Vancouver. I needed a couple more phones for Xmas gifts and either I was told the wrong date or Enjoy missed the appointment date so I cancelled the order and was just going to buy from another store. I walked Into this location and dealt with Hogan. Told him my situation and he said he'd get me taken care of. The process still took a long time (45+ minutes on the phone with AT&T) and was somewhat of a pain but Hogan made the process about as painless as it could be given the circumstances. He got everything figured out for me with AT&T and I got the 2 last Xmas gifts I needed to buy. As a bonus he gave me a killer recommendation on a killer Gyro place too for lunch!! read more

First time in this AT&T store and will never return again, made me wait 40 minutes to buy a sim card(shouldn't take more than 20 seconds) costumer service wasn't like anything I've experienced before, the whole time I got an attitude from the manager. This store helped me when no other store could or would!! I went to the store in the Vancouver mall and they told me to go home and try to fix the problem on an iPhone 6 Plus I bought the day before on my own. I stopped at this store and they fixed it right there in 5 minutes!! ALWAYS go to this store for your problems because they actually care and know how to help you! read more

UPDATE - After posting a few bad reviews, and emailing the corporate office I finally received a call from the manager, 2.5 weeks later. He told me he was "escalating" the request and would call me back within the hour...it's not been 4 days without a call back. people, just do what you tell someone you are going to do...horrible service. Save yourself trouble and just go to the next store. I was sold a phone on the Next plan here, which i selected under guidance of the store employee. Previously had the HTC M8, he told me the new camera in the M9 was upgraded and a better camera. Turns out, there is a very well known issue on the cameras on the M9. When I tried to return the phone I was denied because of a very small dent on the corner, that literally happened as I was walking into the store. Store policy to not accept returns with even the slightest blemish...I understand policy. Problem is, store manager would not talk to me, I requested a phone call, never called back. The employees would not even give me a managers number or email that I could call and complain to. I am in the service industry...this is the worst customer service I've dealt with in a while. "policy" is to not even let customers talk to managers if they have an issue. Save yourself time and go to Best Buy, they have more knowledgeable agents and are right down the road. Update - has been two weeks of checking back in. Still no call from a store manager, and still can't get his contact info. read more
