The day before pickup, the order still showed on track. On the scheduled pickup day, it suddenly changed to a week out. Strangely, I was offered delivery as soon as the next day for an additional fee. I contacted customer service through chat hoping to understand what happened. The representative was slow to respond, couldn't clearly explain why the pickup date changed, and after a lengthy conversation claimed the order had been updated and would be available for pickup that day. When I asked a follow-up question, the chat was abruptly closed. I then called the store. The first employee I spoke with was not particularly friendly or helpful. Before I could fully explain why I was calling, I was interrupted and spoken over, then placed on hold without any explanation. A second employee eventually took the call and confirmed the item was not actually in the store and that I would need to wait. When I began explaining my frustration with the experience and why the changing pickup date had impacted my plans, there was still no effort to explain what had happened or acknowledge the inconvenience. After I mentioned that I would rather cancel the order, it was canceled immediately without any attempt to address the issue or offer an alternative solution. What bothered me most wasn't the delay itself--things happen. It was the complete lack of communication, explanation, or concern from the three different people I spoke with. No one could tell me why the date changed, no one seemed interested in helping, and no one appeared to care that I had chosen Lowe's based on the promised pickup timeline. If the store manager or owner reads these reviews, my recommendation would be to focus less on the cancellation itself and more on how customers are treated when something goes wrong. Inventory and logistics issues happen. A little communication, empathy, and professionalism would have made this a completely different experience. Disappointing.

I personally love these types of stores. I never know what I will find, and that's half the fun of it all. This particular Homegoods store is large, well laid-out and very neat. (In some stores you can find stuff strewn all over the place, or items placed in incorrect sections by customers, or worse, on the floor. Here, there's none of that). It's well lit, too, and the aisles aren't too narrow (an issue I've encountered in other stores). While visiting here I asked to use the washroom in the back of the store. (Unlike other stores, unfortunately here the bathroom door is locked, and an employee needs to unlock it for you). Not the best system, but hey, I guess they need to monitor this due to shoplifting or people using drugs or something, I'm not sure. Anyhow, thank goodness I found an employee nearby and she was SO nice. Super friendly. That kinda made up for the hassle of having to find someone to unlock the door. They had the usual home decor and kitchen and bathroom accessories and gadgets here, but there was more furniture than I've seen in other Homegoods stores, and I also saw a few doggie strollers - and they were super nice! (Where were these when I was looking for one for my senior dog??? So good to see them here). They also had a fabulous section of greeting cards at the front - WAY more than I've ever seen in a home goods store. Nice! In general, they had a bigger and better selection of most everything. I was really impressed. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars and not 5 is because we had a crazy long wait at the cash to be rung out. There was only one cashier and, for the life of me and the other people waiting in line, she never called out for assistance. The other ladies in line and myself were surprised, as usually they call for back-up cashiers when the line gets long. I was really tempted to leave my cart after 10 minutes of waiting (it took 17 minutes before we could ring out! Such a long wait). Not great. But other than this issue at check-out, I was really impressed with the store.

They claim it is about customer traffic. When I stopped by the changing rooms to ask a question there was no employee in sight. Every news station or documentary crew should come and film this place - it is literally the worst way to treat customers or run a store I have ever seen. You want to feel welcomed and valued when going to a store, here you will be profiled and inconvenienced. What a joke. Jantzen Beach is a tough location and the city has done it no favors, but if you gotta stoop to levels this low - just close your store.

Mike was great! He answered all of our questions without pressure. He is extremely knowledgeable about TVs, brands, features and even sound bars and mounts! We felt well taken care of and confident in our purchase with his guidance. He even came out to the parking lot to make sure the television would fit in our vehicle. Mike and another associate carefully loaded the TV and sound bar in our car and thanked us for our business.
