I visited this store on the 27th of April to start a new service. I was assisted by Carlos, and He does not know what he was doing. He also left out the important information when setting up auto-pay. He failed to inform me that the process would take 2 billing cycles to take an effect. The only thing he talked about anything related to '2 billing cycles' was about my discount. He even failed to set up autopayment, claiming that it should automatically be done since I already have my internet service with At&T. Due to his mistakes, I was charged with an overdue of 80 dollars. When I called this store and the manager (Alex) did not seem to care. Alex(Manager), at least educate your employees and do your job. Once you lose your credibility, it's hard to get it back. For anyone to see, I do not recommend this place. Go to a corporate office to get it done right. Hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had, not just at an AT&T store, but anywhere. The lady that helped me didn't seem interested in really explaining anything, looked at me like I was basically stupid the entire time and acted like I was an inconvenience. The people working in the store are friendly and helpful. However, ATTs COVID policies are absolutely ridiculous. No people in the store and I can't even walk in with my wife. I can't even stand inside the door about 30 feet from anyone with a mask on. Meanwhile, 8 workers are sitting around the store helping no one. I'm all for taking precautions but not allowing a husband and wife make an expensive decision together is just stupid. Employees at the store get 5 stars. ATT headquarters get 1.. Update: In response it the managers non response response. The policies are not even in line with the expectations set by the city, state, or government. No one feels unsafe by having more than one family member in the store. Especially when there is not other customers in the store. I went to this store today to trade in my iPhone since I received the new one. Originally when I came here last month and ordered the new iPhone they said I would receive $800 off since my phone was broken on the back, and that I would just need to bring it in when I get the new one. Today this guy with long hair tells me I can only get $130 off. I tell him about what the previous employee said and he said that's not a thing and that he's sorry but that guy was wrong. Came in today because we were trying to activate our new phones , transfer information and ask some general questions about our phones. Well we received the BEST customer service from any place, in a long time from ALEX. She was polite, friendly, included our daughter and son in the conversation by joking with them and made them feel great, which makes us as parents feel great! She walked us through the set up of our phone, taught us how to transfer info, helped my son fix his SIM card and helped with other random things. She probably spent about an hour answering questions and doing other things. She was so good that towards the end of our visit my wife came over and said she couldn't believe how patient and helpful Alex was... AT and T should count themselves blessed to have her... I went into this att store ready to spend money on a new iphone mini but when i asked associate he told me that they were out of all minis. i asked when he would be getting them in and he stated that they wouldnt because they werent selling very well. i found this very odd so i went to their display phones and ordered one online and it stated that i could pick up a mini at the location i was at. When i asked associate about that he said they probably had some in backstock yet he had told me they didnt have any. He didnt have a response for that. I worked retail for 25 years and i would dig a hole and jump through hoops to get whatever a customer needed and make a sale. but i guess he wasnt interested in making at&t $600 +. I asked to speak to a manager and he said he was the manager and when i asked his name he stated that i didnt need to know his name. i walked out and I'll be closing my AT&T account and finding a company that wants to take my money. The technician helping me with my dozens of questions did so very professionally and personable. Good job AT&T with the training and customer service of this location. My tech's name was Gilbert and he was very polite. He goes out of his way to ensure you have all the data you need to make the best decisions for your family. Had ordered a phone and was told about this awesome promotional deal where I would spend $99 to get an iPad mini 3...i asked what was the catch..you'd pay $10 a month and wouldn't be able to get it in gold...that's it? I realized a week later that I had an iPad mini 2...so I went back to ask about it...they tell me the promotion was only for the iPad mini 2...i told them that the person I worked with specifically said ipad mini 3 and I even discussed the pricing with her in detail while referring to the iPad mini 3... They said they had been doing it only for the iPad mini 2 and there was nothing they could do...even told me there was an activation fee of $50 that they could waive...wtf so your employee failed to tell me about an activation fee as well?? AT&T takes advantage of elderly customers. My husband has been paying $8.99/mo AT&T insurance on his iPhone that was supposed to cover repairs or replacement. When it stopped working he took it to the AT&T on North San Pedro (next to Hooters) and asked them to fix it. 3 or 4 people looked at it and told him it couldn't be fixed- then they gave him a new phone. They never discussed the option of filing an insurance claim to replace the broken phone- just told him he needed a new phone- and charged him for an upgrade. My husband is 75 and not real tech savvy- He signed something but didn't receive much explanation or discussion. We thought the new phone was a replacement for the broken one. Then we got the bill! They had sold him an upgrade and added an additional $20/mo in extraneous costs for things he had never asked for- in addition to the charge for the new phone! I called AT&T service- spent TWO HOURS on the phone being transferred from one person to another- The people I spoke with said the store should have placed an insurance claim first- since the broken phone was insured.Then they finally said I had to talk to the store manager. I made an appointment but do not expect much from them. BEWARE of AT&T - particularly that store on north San Pedro. I had a similar problem with them 10 years ago but thought it was just one individual working there. Apparently it is the store's policy that is crooked! read more

Short story, I purchased an iPhone X Max October 2018 and with a 1 year warranty. I feel within a year any issue will arise and warranty will cover the issue. I will purchase another phone without hesitation after warranty or if I'm the one at fault. I hold myself responsible especially when purchasing an expensive item. The phone screen turned off completely and phone was still on. I could call 9-1-1, receive calls, and hear my alerts. I took the phone to Apple and they said there was apparent water damage and the warranty would be void. I spoke with Ayan and was told nothing could be done because the phone is Apple. I was offered the option to bring an old phone, purchase a new one and still pay off the broken phone and problem solved. He told me he didn't know what happened even after I explained the situation. Ayan was condescending and felt whatever I told him would be incorrect. I guess new policy is customers are always wrong and insurance will provide guaranteed customer satisfaction. I had to get a car charger for my iPhone and when I walked in, there was no one able to assist because it was so busy. I went to look for the charger myself and couldn't find it. When I asked someone where it was, the sales rep just said in the corner. Well, I went in that corner to look for the car charger and they didn't have it there. So, I asked another rep and she said "it may be in the back, let me check". Well, she never came back and told me if they had any or not. I gave this place 1 star because you have to check something to move on. I go into the store to have them look at my phone because it went out after only 4 months. Prior to the phone going out, it got really hot. The store was empty but I still had to wait to be seen. The Techinician I had didn't know what she was doing and pulls out this magnifying glass and stared at the top of my phone where the camera is located. She tells me oh you have scratches on your phone that's why it doesn't work. Now keep in mind my phone is in a protective case and I've never dropped it. I ask her to show me where I had scratches and instead of doing that she asks two other co-workers if they saw scratches and of course they glance at my phone and says yes. I looked at them all as if they were on drugs. They then tell me we can't help you. You have to buy another phone. I was furious and left the store only because I was on my lunch break. I called LG and they asked me to send my phone to their repair center. LG replaced my phone for free and told me I didn't have any scratches (as I knew that) and my phone was probably defective when manufactured. I just got a bad phone but the fact that AT&T tried to extort money from me made me even more irate. I was with Sprint for 12 or 13 years and never had bad customer service and only went to AT&T because of my husbands job. If I can get Sprint to take on some of this contract/phone purchase, I'm going back and I'm canceling my home Uverse service as well. Stay away from this place.....you've been warned. read more
