The manager gave me me two promos when I signed up, told me my installation cost he was charging me would get reimbursed via the two promos I had...which come to find out I got NEITHER OF THEM. I purchased a new Apple Iphone 13. The manager of the store was so patient and knowledgeable - "Jonathan". I felt so out of touch with new technology. My old Iphone was a "6". He transferred the data for me and showed me how to activate all my apps and even how to get my phone activate on my car. He even offered to come in early to the store so he could help me and we wouldn't be disturbed and I wouldn't have to wait. He made me feel very special and that my questions were reasonable. I highly recommend him. I thank him for all his assistance, patience and understanding! I would NEVER go to the AT & T store in Dana Point. Let me start by saying this review is not directed to the store but AT&T in general. I bought into a TV plan that had to receiver boxes. One box failed and now the fun begins. AT&T changed the way you get replacements, it has to be done online. The first attempt resulted in a new account being set up for whatever reason and no replacement box. A second call was made, another box ordered and was told it would definitely be delivered in a few days. Guess what? No box!!! A third call was made another conversation, much exchange of information, new box would arrive in a few days. Well days and days went by, still no box. Here we are 6 weeks later still no box. One has to think...... you pay peanuts and...... Would love to meet the genius that thought up this new and improved way of doing business!!!!! In the meantime another call, more information exchange and maybe get lucky this time...... not holding my breath....... read more

We were looking for an open AT&T store in SoCal (the 1st one we went to in Laguna Niguel - was closed at 11am - no staff showed up to open the shop at all!) Found this store in SJC, and the one person running it was providing excellent service! Jonathan was smart about managing everyone in line - about 5 customers when we arrived. He was very helpful, considerate, polite, apologetic for lack of staff, and essentially managed to help all of us at once! read more

I had a very positive experience at this store 2 days in a row. Jonathan was kind, patient & knowledgable. Some of the bad reviews seem to be referencing AT&T corporate...which I get. But my experience at this store was quite positive. Yes, he was working alone but he always greeted people & tried to see if they had a quick question or easy transaction. For those of us that needed more time. he would start backups & things like that, so we could be progressing as he helped other people. It's internet is consistently crashing, tv is going black and the service is slow and horrible. I recently moved to a new place and tried to get an AT&T U-Verse internet connection. This DSL connection was the only option I had, as the apartment building does not have cable wiring. I called up AT&T to order the service, and it was a nightmarish hell dealing with the call centers. I went to this store to see if I could get my internet connection issue resolved. The staff member who was working there, Diana, helped me immensely. She resolved an issue that was going to take weeks to deal with in a few phone calls and got me set up with my internet connection. She was very patient and friendly. If you end up going the AT&T route, either through cell phones or internet connections, I can definitely recommend this place. read more

The experience with ATand At has been beyond horrible. Sent my new phone to a wrong address. Than I had to wait for an investigation before I had to go back in the store and reorder. Too long an ordeal to explain. I have been to the store 3 times so far totallying 7 hours. Still may have to go back again. Unfortunately they are the ones who can give me the cell service I need in this area as they own all the cell towers. Still no cell phone even though now dealing with "MARKETING DIRECTOR FOR SOUTHERN CA. He told me 3 days ago it was expedited. I want their definition for expedited. The thing is and I told him that my Verizon cell phone gets no reception in certain parts of my house as AT and T owns all the cell towers here. I have seizures with no prior symptoms and therefore wear a medical alert which goes off if I fall and pass out. Right now I am faced with no way to alert anyone. Against my parental judgement-my daughter talked me into switching to AT&T. This happened less than 2 yrs ago when I switched from Sprint- This is the third time I've used AT&T- what a colossal mistake that was- Their cell service especially in OC & San Juan Capistrano is less than horrible. From 1-10-I give them a big fat ZERO- I was on the phone with Verizon to switch the 4 lines I have for 24 mins & guess what it got disconnected. Its very frustrating when everyone you call complains of not hearing you. I even tried WIFI calling its not much better. I would like to complain to corporate. I went to this AT&T retailer to ask about activating services on the Cellular Modem built in to my laptop. I gave the guy at the counter, Matthew Thomas, all the details, SIM Card etc. He proceeded to mess around on his tablet computer for a few minutes. Asked no questions, provided no options, no paperwork, no price quote. Handed it back to me a few minutes later, said "you're all set!" Seemed fishy. I asked for paperwork he said "oh that will come in the mail." OK, it arrived. He signed me up for the highest price option, added insurance and "protection plans" I didn't need. $140/Month! So, I went back to the store. They said "he's not here. but that is the only option for service." So I called AT&T. There are lots of options for far less money. they said I should log in on line and review my account. Turns out I can't because the sales guy - Matthew Thomas - used his personal email account to set up the service. Altogether - dishonest, greedy, un-informed or all of the above. Purchased 4 new iPhones , got direct TV , high speed Internet and a home phone for my house and all costed me under $250 per month. I was paying double this amount with my old career. The manager and the reps are very rude and dishonest. My case was so bad that when I called AT&T and spoke to a customer service representative who then called the store to talk to the manager, the manager not only went off on his AT&T rep on the phone, the manager hung up on the rep.
