To start, I came all the way from Anaheim to this Seal Beach location because I was informed there would be a silver iPhone 17 pro max in stock. There indeed was one in stock, and the process to start the trade-in was extremely simple thanks to my sales associate, Emrie. When it got to the transferring step, it said it would take 3 hours (sometimes it lies) so I requested his best food recommendations in the meantime. After about an hour and a half, I was informed the store would be closing soon and my phone still said 2 hours remaining. I was FREAKING OUT because I could not use Apple Maps during a transfer and my car does not have a built-in GPS. This was my first time in Seal Beach and I am not an OC native so I had no idea how to get home. After explaining my dilemma, Emrie was super patient and kind, he printed me a map with different routes and steps to get home. My phone did end up transferring completely mid-drive so I finished my phone trade-in at a different location. Anthony or "Tony" was so helpful and thoughtful with his customers time. He was the only person/representative at the store while attending to a number of customers. I came in on a Wednesday early morning because my iPhone just stopped working and it was time for an upgrade. Tony who was there was attending to one customer however he still made me feel welcomed from the beginning. While other customers walked in after me he made sure each one of us were attended to regardless and managed his customers extremely well despite being on his own. He made sure no one was ignored. He gets an A+ on customer service. It's rare to find this type of service nowadays. I'm happy with my purchase(s) and will definitely come back as this has been my second time at the seal beach location. read more

I was beyond frustrated trying to get the LTE set up on my iPad, and he stepped in with so much patience, professionalism, and calm energy that he completely turned the situation around. What stood out to me most was that his help felt genuine, not obligatory. TONY is the best!!!! We lost a phone and AT&T customer service messed up the line by canceling it instead of suspending it (thank you AI and call centers, worst thing that ever happened to customer service, should change the name to customer torture!), I went to AT&T Westminster location (useless staff), was on the phone with customer service for 3 hours and they couldn't help me! Finally we came to Seal beach location and Tony connected the new phone (unfortunately we lost the old phone number) but was so relieved that someone is knowledgeable enough to tell us that's the issue and to reconnect the phone with a new number, we were in an out in 15 minutes. read more

I had a pre order and wanted to upgrade my phone as well but the guy who was working just kept giving me looks. No smile no nothing. Not only was this untrue but the salesperson added insurance and next up charges WITHOUT my permission. I will be filing a formal complaint with ATT. Dishonest sales practices. Manager please read. I came into the store to look into buying new phones. The sales rep told us about a wi-fi promotion that REQUIRED adding a 4th line (which i didn't need) and which turned out to be completely false. There was no such promotion. We ended up spending hours in the store, which i now realize was because he was adding extra lines and charges without clearly explaining them. He claimed he didn't work on commission but added every possible upcharge: a 4th line, NEXT UP, insurance and more-none of which I asked for or needed. Months later, I am still dealing with the financial mess. When I called ATT&T directly (at least 5 times), they admitted this is a common issue in the stores and told me to call ATT corporate office directly and to avoid any future in-person visits. To the store manager: your employee was deceptive to make a sale. Customers deserve transparency-not to be misled and overcharged. I'd appreciate direct follow up. read more

I bought earphones at this store at the ATT rep's recommendation. They did not work correctly. When I figured this out, I went to return the earphones just over a month later. The rep, Cristian, declined to offer me a refund noting I could come again to speak with the manager (this was my second time trying to return the earphones but first I left after waiting 30 minutes). He noted they have a 14-day return policy and I noted that this was not told to me nor did that appear on the receipt. I reiterated that this mistake was from an ATT rep, Leanna, who sold me these phones and told me they would work with the phone. Cristian noted he was sorry--nothing to do and pointed out that it was over 30 days (just barely) and I was returning the earphones. This was a $27 purchase. It's not the money here. It's the terrible service, the blaming of a customer for an employee mistake, and the refusal to rectify the issue. Cristian would not look at me in the eyes--kept looking away, and I informed him that I would be cancelling my ATT service after a 20+ year relationship. No comment from Cristian. Terrible customer service, and my observation of this store is it's all about selling phones, not providing excellence in customer service and satisfaction. read more

They will try and add unnecessary things to you bill beware !!! I went to upgrade my phone. I asked to make sure nothing was added to my bill and they told me insurance and next up were added. I did not request this and they told me I would have to call customer service to remove. The agent told me that was untrue and they should have removed it on request and never added it in the first place. I was lied to and told insurance and next up are automatically added and need to be removed later. Sounded shady but didn't want to stay any longer . Sad and unethical, and I think people in the back push the young kids to do this. read more

Be careful with promotions. Got lured to bite on the 50% off on Iphone 11 and free apple watch 2 years ago and the staff ( Gabriel) that set up the account screwed us up with adding the first net. It was too late to cancel when we got the monthly service statement . Ended up with extra charges on the cell phone plan. He created another cell phone account instead of using connecting first net on my individual AT&T account. Spoke with store manager Maria last year but was not able to help. read more

I walked into the store to ask about upgrading my phone. After asking what was the difference between the different iPhone 14 versions, he just pointed to the display and said, "it's all there," and just stayed seated at the table. I then asked if there was a chart to show the side-by-side comparison. He simply gestured and looked over at the display, offering no further information. It was clear that he didn't care. Not sure why he doesn't just quit. I walked out immediately. I went straight to Target afterward and got the info I needed there. I'll be buying my iPhone at Target instead. read more

I came here to get a new iPhone. The lady who helped me, well, didn't help me. She said I don't qualify for the trade in deal because of my current phone plan and that I would need to upgrade it. She did not explain anything about what the upgrade entails and asked if I wanted to do it. When I asked how much would it be, she said "I can't really tell you. It can be $25-$50." Um ok.....so she wanted me to upgrade blindly. Is that per line? Per month? It was like pulling teeth to get any information out of her. When I asked what the difference is from my current phone plan, she also said she could not tell me.... I don't know how she expected me to just agree to upgrade my plan and everyone else who is also on my plan when she could not even give me any info about it. And when I asked basic questions about the new plan, it's like I was in the wrong to do so. She even said "Like I said before, and I am gonna have to keep saying this, I can't tell you what the difference is." HUH???? I left this store and went directly to the AT&T at cypress and was able to get my new phone with the trade in deal with no problem. I made an appointment to go in and when I got there they said they have no record of it. After talking to the gal a while, she let me know that AT&T sold the store to a private retailer and maybe that's why they aren't getting the appointments from corporate. I went into look at different phone options for my wife and I we both were surprised to see there are no phones anywhere. The store assistant said there was a robbery nearby so they don't put phones out. I also noticed where they used to be a security guard went corporate owned it. There was no security guard anymore at this facility. We asked about certain phones and the representative said they wouldn't be until after January to the inventory nothing was going right so I went home and I called AT&T. They said they have phones in stock and I could get them within four days. I ended up ordering everything over the phone with a representative directly from AT&T. It's very sad that the store has gone downhill since being purchased by a private retailer. The store now is no different than a kiosk in a mall. I bought well over 12 phones from this store in the past when it was owned by corporate. This is a very sad move for the area, losing the store to a retailer who doesn't have access to inventory. I learned years ago you can't sell from an empty well. the store won't last long without inventory. read more

DO NOT VISIT THIS STORE! MANAGER STEVEN IS A SCAMMER. After hearing great things about AT&T, I visited the store and switched from T-Mobile to AT&T. Unfortunately, the experience has been terrible due to Steven lies. Therefore, I am writing this review with the hopes that someone can fix my issue, but also to warn anyone trying to sign up with Steven or this AT&T location. Just don't do it, you will be scammed. When looking at available plans and options, Steven promised certain prices and said he applied "fans" and "manager discounts" into my account to lower the price. A few hours after, I received an email saying a "military discount" was applied into my account, EVEN AFTER I MENTIONED WITH HIM I AM NOT IN THE MILITARY. When looking at my bill, nothing was correct. The actual price is almost double the amount he mentioned with me on the first visit (I even have paperwork and writing with the prices he promised and do not reflect my actual bill). With that, I decided to visit the store again and mentioned the problems with him. Steven said he will take care of it and correct the price. Steven also mentioned some of the systems have switched, and this is why the discounts were not applied correctly. Moments after, I received an email confirmation that my plan was changed from Unlimited to Starter! I made it clear that I did not wish to lower my plan, but have the prices he originally gave me. After hours spent at the store, he said everything was fixed. I thanked him for his time and left the store. When looking at my next bill, the price was again incorrect and double what he mentioned with me. I do not mind paying what the plan costs, but definitely do not like being lied to multiple times. Do not waste your time with Steven or this AT&T location, he will do anything possible to sell his services and earn his commissions; even if what it takes is lie to customers. Hands down the worst ATT store I have ever been to. I went in to upgrade to an iPhone 14 from an iPhone 11. I told the agent that I wanted to upgrade to iPhone 14 pro 128 memory with a trade in. The agent told me I had to change my plan and also tried to sneak in a new line. When I asked what would change with my plan he couldn't explain, and instead started going over the pricing of the new line I never asked for. I told him I wasn't going to add a line as I only had use for 3 lines and I wasn't going to change my plan without explanation of changes. The other agent in the back (wearing a beanie, playing on a tablet and without looking up) "go somewhere else". I brushed it off because he wasn't who I was speaking with, so I ask the agent "helping" me what changes with my account with the proposed changes and he still couldn't tell me. Also there was a price discrepancy with the monthly and the payment due at purchase. Another issue he couldn't explain. When I asked about the new plan and benefits he told me to go somewhere else. A little piece of information, these agents get commission on new lines and phone plan changes and they will try to sneak those changes and pressure you into them to get the sale regardless if it fits your needs or not. This is not an ATT company store but an authorized retailer and there is the problem. They are not held to the same standards as direct ATT employees and there is little to no training in product or plan knowledge. read more

Love that the staff wears masks and also enforces masks on customers as well. They always wipe down their counters between customers. I was immediately greeted at the door and added to the queue. Mayra helped me add my healthcare discount and add my family to my plan. She made the whole process go smoothly. Mayra also explained everything easily and answered all my questions. First off, I'm not even an AT&T customer anymore. I switched to TMobile a few years ago and am very happy. I took my elderly friend into this store for a new iPhone 11. We got it, but the whole experience was frustrating and negative. I believe the salesperson was Guerardo ( sp?). He didn't seem very interested in helping us. Very low energy and really didn't seem like he wanted to help or frankly even be there. We were a very easy sale too as we knew exactly what we wanted. Even after telling him my elderly friend had a hearing problem and was having trouble hearing him through his mask he didn't try to speak up so she could hear better. I had to pull down my mask several times so she could hear me! Despite having a partition between us he must have spent more time telling me to keep my mask on or adjust it because it had slipped ( It was too big). Maybe he was new because he couldn't clearly and succinctly describe the differences in the phones. She wanted to see the color of the phone. He said they were locked in. The manager overheard and came over and easily unlocked the phone so she could see it. He was more interested in commenting on my mask and their policies. My friend was very frustrated. I honestly would have walked out if it was just me, but I needed to get her a phone. I finally reminded him that we were here to by a phone and to focus on our needs! Ugh. During the process of setting up and purchasing he was very unorganized. Instead of having my friend search and get out her credit card, AARP card, check book, one time to do the transaction he had her put them away and then asked for them again and again! This is an 89 year old woman! It takes her time to put things away and find them again.!!! We were an easy sale. If he had stated initially what he needed her to take out at the beginning of the transaction and spend less time reminding me about my mask we could have been in and out in half the time! So frustrating. Even after we pointed this out to him he didn't apologize, nor did he seem to care we were frustrated and getting more upset as the transaction went on. He didn't raise his voice to make it easier on my friend and when I pulled down my mask so I could communicate for her he spend more time discussing their mask policy. Honestly, he just didn't get it, didn't really have the emotional intelligence to assess the situation and adjust or just didn't care. I think it was a bit of all of the above. I've never had a positive experience at this location. This includes: 1- sells reps adding services I didn't request (discovered 14 months later at $18/month x 2 lines = over $500 scammed) , 2- lies stating new lines couldn't be added to my plan (HB added new lines, no problem), 3- merchandise returns not accepted despite an attempt made inside the return window, with receipts. These were all separate occasions over five years or so. I'm done wasting my time here. read more

Can't wait to find out who is in charge here, because they obviously don't come by or call the phone number. Lots of sales representatives hovering around the front door or by the table. A lot of them seem to have nothing to do, scrolling through pictures, chatting and dancing. They all have two phones, their personal one and business. When I went I was there for 1hr and 1/2 and three sales representative were in the same space the whole time chatting and looking at pictures. You can tell you have some hard workers but some just a waste of space and should be standing by the phone. Ashley was helpful, however my card was charged 3x for some reason. Tried to call three days straight and now I know why they only have 2 stars. My service is pretty good. I like that! read more

I previously purchased an AT&T brand screen protector for my iPhone and was told if I cracked my screen protector I could go to any AT&T store and replace it for free. Earlier this year I cracked my screen protector, went to this Seal Beach AT&T store, and had the screen protector replaced for free. Easy peasy. Recently, I cracked my screen protector once again and happened to be in the area so I walked into the Seal Beach store and asked if I could replace my screen. The woman who was helping me looked up my info in their system. After reading my info she said I purchased a BodyGuardz screen protector and I need to work with them directly, not AT&T. I told her my last screen protector replacement info may have been entered incorrectly because I purchased an AT&T brand screen protector, not BodyGuardz. She told me her system said I have BodyGuardz. Again, I politely told her I purchased an AT&T brand screen protector and I wasn't sure how to proceed. Another woman came over, Iooked at my info on the screen, and searched for the screen protector on their accessories wall by product code. She stopped looking and told me the screen protector I purchased was no longer being produced so I need to buy a new screen protector. I told both women that I thought the AT&T screen protector had a lifetime warranty. They repeated to me that the screen protector I purchased was no longer being produced so I need to buy a new screen protector. I told them "well that's a bummer" to which they didn't reply so I left the store feeling completely taken advantage of, thinking AT&T really messed up by saying their product has a lifetime warranty, only to change the product forcing you to purchase their new product.  I got home and called the Huntington Beach AT&T store, where I originally purchased my phone and screen protector and asked about the screen protector since I was told it had a lifetime warranty. The helpful and respectful associate told me that yes, AT&T did stop producing the original screen protector I purchased, but I can still replace it with the newer product. So basically, at the Seal Beach AT&T store, the first woman told me I was a liar because I purchased the BodyGuardz screen protector, which I didn't, then the second woman realized I purchased an older AT&T protector that was no longer produced and told me to buy a new screen protector, knowing that I didn't need to because they could have replaced my cracked screen protector with the newer model. So both women lied to me and tried to get me to purchase something that I didn't need and on top of that they were both acting like I was annoying them by walking into their store in the first place. This location has TERRIBLE customer service and will take advantage of you. read more

Where do I even begin?! Last week, I called this AT&T store on two different days. PROBLEM #1: Both times, no one picked up the phone. Since it's a short drive from my house, I chose to drive over. When I arrived, there were three employees. PROBLEM #2: Not a single one acknowledged that they would be of service, or that I should put my name down somewhere so that I can get some service. About 10 mins passed before a gentleman came by, asked my name, and said he would be right with me. PROBLEM #3: 15 mins after that, I finally saw my name on the service screen. Another 15 minutes later, an AT&T rep finally came over to find out what I needed. Had a decent rapport with the rep, and he answered my questions, for the most part. Finally after carefully weighing my options, I decided to go with an iPhone XR. The rep said they would back up my phone and transfer everything over, no problem. GREAT! Except, PROBLEM #4: I took the phone home, played with it. Thought it was strange that not everything updated that evening, but figured it would by morning time. PROBLEM #5: The AT&T guy didn't transfer everything over. PROBLEMS #6, 7, 8. 1/3 of my contacts came through, so many were missing (which means they didn't do a thorough job of transferring my data, even though the phone was plugged in overnight and should have updated). None of the names in my text messages were coming through, instead there were phone numbers. Worst of all, every time I tried to type in a phone number to text message someone, the number would automatically erase!! I took the phone back that very day. Spoke to the same manager (Corey) that helped me the night before and he said he'd never seen anything like it regarding the erasing numbers in the text messaging, but couldn't do anything about it. The phone was under warranty and needs to be handled with Apple. Are you kidding me?!??? You just sold me this phone the night before. It's a LEMON and I now have to waste my time to go to Apple and get this fixed?!? (and now I'm wasting my time having to write this review!) Super unhelpful, unsympathetic to the situation, and it was so easy for him to pawn me off to Apple! On my way home, I called Apple. They tried to trouble shoot over the phone for 45 mins. The Apple rep said she'd never seen anything like the way my phone is behaving either. Long story short, save yourself the trouble. Don't go to this location. I've been told (learned these after the fact), Target has an incredible phone tech guy and Costco has some good phone deals for iPhones from time to time. I would NEVER EVER go to this location nor would I ever recommend this team of very incompetent AT&T reps. BTW, when I asked my sales rep about them not picking up the calls I made last week, he said they never pick up that line and only have it because they need to have a land line for corporate. "Only call the number on our business cards, otherwise we'll never pick up the phone. Hahaha."-Seal Beach AT&T rep ‍ This is day 3 with this phone and it's still showing the same issues. I arrived a couple minutes past 7p & was turned away with a "were closed." Where's the customer service AT&T? I get it, you're closed, but the associate could have been even a little pleasant. I've had bad experiences at this location but this one has me questioning how they train their CUSTOMER SERVICE associates.
