I was also swindled at this At and T location. Basically, my wife and I got a buy one phone, get one free deal. Our sales person lied right to our faces and told us our new bill would be the same as our previous deal, but it's about $70 more per month. They also added another line which we don't use but still have to pay for. I called customer service and was told, "sometimes our customer service people are loose with the truth." I went here to upgrade my phone, they were super unhelpful. They said they could only transfer my contacts to my new phone (nothing else: photos etc.) and that I would have to buy the new device without turning on the service to do a backup and home and then switch the phones over. If i am going to spend close to 1K on a new iPhone you would like the employees could be more helpful. I know for a fact on my other upgrades that they (AT&T stores) were able to do this for me and my new phone would have all my photos and apps from the old device. I am not sure if this was because of lazy employees or changed policies or something else, but it stopped me from purchasing a new device and this store (which I will never come back to) & it has made me think about switching cellphone providers. read more

I came in to this store the day after my iPhone XS came in the mail. I had some difficulty transferring content over from my previous phone onto my new one. Inevitably after a new iPhone being released, there was a line of people with similar problems as myself. Other than waiting in line, my experience here was great. The gal Andrea was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable once she was able to come around to help me out. She made it very easy to understand what the issue was. She gave me her business card in case I had any other questions after I left. I remembered one more thing I wanted to ask her at the time after I had left, so I called her up and she was instantly able to assist me. My mom is in the hospital and her only means of communication with her family is through this phone. Seal Beach AT&T store is the WORST AT&T store. Derek from Seal Beach AT&T store is the worst customer service ever. I came in greeted by Derek, told him I need 2 new iPhone 7, I need to transfer 1 to my existing account and open a new line for the other one. He said they are not going to be able to transfer the account without my Aunt. I said fine, I will be back later. So I went my Aunt's house, called AT&T and transferred her account to my account and went back to the Seal Beach AT&T store again. Went back to the Seal Beach AT&T store, talked to Derek again and ordered the 2 new iPhone 7. He tried to order but "it did not go thru" I asked him what is wrong with it and he said "It said to call Customer Support, so I think you better call customer support and you will get them tomorrow" and so I did call AT&T Customer Service while I am still in the Seal Beach AT&T store and verified that nothing was wrong with my account, they can finalize the order and I shall receive the orders tomorrow. I then asked Derek, what's wrong with my account? And why can't I order those 2 iPhone 7 in store but I can with them? He said he does not know. I asked for a manager, who said the same thing that everybody who's local won't be able to help me cause my account is "Special" I went to Bella Terra AT&T Store in Huntington Beach, Dana G took my order and now I have the 2 iPhone 7 for my Aunt and Mom. She also reminded me of the teachers 17% discount off my bill that I was eligible for if I could submit my teachers ID. I regret not writing this sooner, because a few months back I had one of the most positive, professional and personal phone store experiences I have ever experienced. It wasn't that the store was immaculately cleaned, or that the displays were properly represented and easy to understand (and the store met this criteria), but it was by far the customer service. I ran my phone over (long emotional story) and the gentleman who assisted us in the store was named CHRIS. I just wanted that to be clear to management if they are reading this. CHRIS. He was a Latino gentleman and a big fan of Disney, if my memory is correct. Chris was courteous, knowledgeable, honest, and warm. What more could you ask for in customer service? I've had a cell phone since 2006, since this store location used to be called a "Cingular" store (Google that if you were born after 2000). I've gone through every phone situation over the years. My daughter's corporate phone account was canceled yesterday. She had paid & did not know why the phone service was canceled. She spoke to several Customer Service personnel who told her that since she couldn't personally visit a corporate store, she needed to write a note authorizing me or my husband to access her account by visiting one of AT & T's corporate stores. Apparently, it wasn't that simple because no PIN was set up originally. In short, Isabel (or her manager at this store) was able to do the impossible and was very polite & professional during this transaction. This review is about AT&T company policy; not this particular store or employees who had their hands tied as far as resolving this issue. After 14 years as a customer with 5 lines on the account, I decided to take advantage of their "trade in your phone and get a new one for the same monthly price as the old phone". There was nothing wrong with my old phone other than a few scratches on the screen which the rep said was fine. One month later I got a text saying that my phone didn't "qualify" for the deal. Upon calling them, I was told that my screen had a "burn-in" which is absolutely untrue. Now they want $35.00 a month more than I was quoted. I'm moving on to T-mobile. Called for a stock check so we could buy a new phone that wasn't in stock at another location, was left on hold for 30 minutes. Called back, told them we were left on hold and what we were looking for again, just to be left on hold until we drove all the way to the location. They still didn't pick up so we went in the store expecting it to be busy, but there was 5 + employees and only one other customer in there. We told them they left us on hold, not one apology, and also everyone went from chatting hanging out in the store to hiding in the back. I saw them all looking out the door window from the back area, obviously not wanting to come out. I had to put my hands up and make a "really, wtf" gesture before someone came out. They said they're manager was still trying to do a stock check. Made us wait longer, and when the manager came out, I asked if she had the phone in stock. Her reply was, "what phone?" We just left after that. All the employees seemed to find it funny, and not one person was professional. In-store manager at time was Andrea. Who is an obvious failure. Fraudulent sales tactics - DO NOT go here. TIP: Head straight to the apple store if you need an iPhone. I came into the store and the screen of my phone had zonked out and was black. I just wanted to upgrade my ancient iPhone. I'm sure it was due. The salesperson let me know that iPhone upgrades WERE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. To be clear, the salesperson was lying. He continued his lie explaining that I needed to purchase the phone in full, but could pay it over several months and also would need to upgrade my plan. Being that I had no phone, I listened and purchased an iPhone at full cost (approximately $600) and changed our family plan. This week my dad's iPhone 4 did the same thing - black screen. He went into the store and they fed him the same lie - upgrades NO LONGER AVAILABLE. My dad ended up trying the apple store and HE WAS eligible for a LEGITIMATE UPGRADE. ATT still offers upgrades, but this store lies about them. The apple store was honest and efficient. They upgraded his phone for a fraction of the cost. I contacted this fraudulent store and spoke with Gio, a sales person who let me know that his manager was at lunch and couldn't speak. He suggested I dial 611 to report the issue. Not only does the store lie and attempt to get you to buy a phone in full, they also avoid any complaints by not allowing you to speak with their manager. I will be calling back and attempting to reach someone about this. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars! AT&T sent my mom to this location saying they can do everything needed to fix her phone here. Walking in they had 5 employees. 1 of which was helping a couple and the others walking around doing absolutely nothing. We walked up to the counter where a lady stood. We just needed some things transferred from one phone to the other so we could send the other phone back to the corporate office. Personally, I don't see the point of the lady working the front... she doesn't know how to connect a wire and transfer things? Apparently she's there for looks and looks only... Anyways, after giving them her information and being told to hold tight for an available associate, we waiting for a good 5.... no, more like 10 minutes while the other 4 associates stood around doing nothing until finally 3 customers walked in and all of a sudden they have someone to attack and ask if they need help. YO! What about the customers actually WAITING for help? No? ok! They finally got around to us and was only able to transfer the contacts and said there was nothing more they could do. Alright my dad went down for a simple upgrade on his old flip phone. Somehow these people managed to use my upgrade, under my name and number instead of his. Then we call AT&T and the morons suggest we switch the SIM cards.. huge problem with that. iPhone SIM cards are drastically smaller than a standard card. So have to go back down and figure out this mess. For now I am without a phone, and my dad has my number on his flip phone. So all and all, AT&T customer service is crap and these people need to do a bit more examining when doing business with people. The service here is pretty crappy, really long waits, the Manager at the time seemed to be more interested in playing with her phone and trying to wear tight jeans to make her bum look big than dealing with an alarm going off and customers waiting. Regina was very short and rude, cutting me off constantly. Let me start off by saying, if you are not currently an AT & T customer, RUN to the nearest competitor. Do not sign up with AT & T. I have been an AT & T - cingular customer for years and years. Things have gone from bad to worse. I recently purchased a new iphone 4 for my husband. The phone did not work. I returned it to the Seal Beach AT & T store to get a new one. The clerk working at the time told me I had to return it to Apple. I drove over to the Cerritos Mall to return it to Apple. Well, guess what, Apple would not take it back. I called the corporate offices of AT & T and was told the store that I bought it from should exchange it for me. So, I returned to the AT & T store to exchange it. They were so rude, told me Apple should have fixed it or looked at it or something. Really, I just wanted a new phone. The manager Ricky Estrada was especially rude. I left the store called the corporate office and was redirected to the Westminster AT & T store where the phone was exchanged, no questions, no problem and no restocking fee. If you have to be an AT & T Customer, go to the Westminster store where they understand customer service. read more

Let me start with we walked out of there. After waiting 25 min to get seen. A man Sales rep name started with a G. Came up to attempt to help us. As my boyfriend was speaking he then spoke over him and told us "If you give me a minute I can explain that" very rudely. Without listening to what we were in the store in the first place to get. We wanted to buy the new iPhone cash. Instead of saying that was not an option at his store, he dragged out his sales pitch to how he thought financing the phone would be more beneficial for us. For us that's not what we were interested in doing at all, from the get go of waking in there. We had cash in hand and wanted to give it to him for a phone. He then criticized the fact we were going to pay $1,400 for a phone. And that we should finance. He gave us 2 options of financing. Before I told him for the 4th time we were interested in paying cash. Then he proceeds to tell me this is not an electronic store & they don't offer that. lol then we walked out. With wasted time and energy. He was very rude and not interested in the need of the customer. Apple took care of us! Will never be returning to this store or recommending it. If I could give a zero I would. The story is way too long to try and tell but they screwed up my entire transaction and then my new phone was not activated and it was completely unusable. Unfortunately I had to go out of town the very next day and was not able to get it fixed and was on a trip 6 hours away and then Had to find an AT&T while on vacation to fix the problem. I seemed to get everything fixed on my trip but then a week later I got a call from the manager at seal beach saying the guy who sold me the phone originally didn't activate it and it made it look like a stolen phone. I was told to bring the phone back in it at my earliest convenience, and before I was able to make it back in to the store they completely deactivated my phone in the middle of the day when I was on the way home and needed to use my phone for the maps and directions and since they deactivated it I was lost and couldn't even call anyone for directions since calls were also deactivated. I was forced to stop and find a stranger to beg to use their cell phone. After I got home we had to go straight to the AT&T store and they fixed the issue now. The manager was helpful even though I was super frustrated with everything. Then after I complained about everything to the manager he was apologetic, but the other female employee sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing decided to chime in and say "at least he comped the taxes for you" in a very very sarcastic tone. Then I was so pissed. Yes, The small discount you just gave me was so worth the additional 2 hours I had to spend at an AT&T store and getting lost in the rain with no map and no service was awesome. I went on my lunch break to buy an Apple Lighting to Headphone Adapter and it took all of 32 minutes. I told them that all I wanted was to buy the adapter, but they said that I had to wait in line and that I was next. After a 30 minute wait I had enough and had to barge in on a table and ask the guy to just scan me. Of course no sorry for the wait or thanks, he just gave me my receipt and walked off?? So they made me waste my whole lunch time just because they couldn't stop for literally 30 seconds and get me on my way. Dealing with cell phone companies is usually a pain, but this location has amazing customer service (besides the rating is for this store, not AT&T in general). Every time I have come here the people are friendly and patient. They don't try to cut me off or rush me if there are other customers waiting. Depending on the time of day you might either be the only person in the store, or you might be walking into a swarm of customers. Even when they are busy tho I've never had to wait more than five minutes to be helped. I originally started my service at this location and have replaced phones here about four times. I've been consistently satisfied and always recommend this location above all others. read more

My sister and I are both looking for new smart phones. We made an appointment to come in on Black Friday. We were greeted by a friendly person with a tablet. Now I am a lifelong iPhone user switching to another brand (It's been good Apple, but I'm ready to move on). Andrea helped us and is great. She was informative, spent a lot of time with us and was low pressure. In the end I am still in the research phase (though I'll probably get one of the Galaxy 6 models). My sister needs more time to decide as well. They had Black Friday specials on accessories. My sister got some wireless headphones at 40% off. The manager came and introduced himself to us and fielded some of our questions. I was very impressed with my experience and the customer service. The store is clean and organized. There is plenty of free parking and the store is right off the 405. And if needed there is a comfortable bench to rest your feet. read more
